சங்கீதம் 2
1 நாடுகள் ஏன் கொதித்து எழும்புகின்றன? மக்கள் கூட்டம் ஏன் வீணாய் சூழ்ச்சி செய்கின்றார்கள்?
Wherefore do nations rage, and people meditate a vain thing?
2 பூமியின் அரசர்கள் எதிர்த்து நிற்கிறார்கள், ஆளுநர்களும் யெகோவாவுக்கு விரோதமாகவும், அவரால் அபிஷேகம் செய்யப்பட்டவருக்கு விரோதமாகவும் ஒன்றுகூடி சொன்னதாவது:
The kings of the earth raise themselves up, and rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against his anointed:
3 “அவர்கள் இட்ட சங்கிலிகளை உடைத்து, அவர்கள் கட்டிய கயிறுகளை அறுத்தெறிவோம்.”
“Let us break asunder their bands, and cast away from us their cords.”
4 பரலோக சிங்காசனத்தில் அமர்ந்திருப்பவர் சிரிக்கிறார்; யெகோவா அவர்களை இகழ்கிறார்.
He who dwelleth in the heavens will laugh: the Lord will hold them in derision.
5 அவர் தமது கோபத்தில் அவர்களைக் கடிந்து, தமது கடுங்கோபத்தில் அவர்களுக்குத் திகிலுண்டாகச் சொல்வதாவது:
Then will he speak unto them in his anger, and in his displeasure will he terrify them.
6 “நான் எனது அரசனை என் பரிசுத்த மலையாகிய சீயோனில் அமர்த்தியிருக்கிறேன்.”
[Saying, ] Yet have I appointed my king upon Zion my holy mount.
7 நான் யெகோவாவின் விதிமுறையைப் பிரசித்தப்படுத்துவேன்: அவர் என்னிடம் சொன்னதாவது, “நீர் என்னுடைய மகன்; இன்று நான் உமக்குத் தந்தையானேன்.
I will announce the decree, the Lord hath said unto me, “My son art thou: I have indeed this day begotten thee.
8 என்னிடம் கேளும், நான் நாடுகளை உம்முடைய உரிமைச் சொத்தாக்குவேன், பூமியை அதின் கடைசிவரை உமது உடைமையாக்குவேன்.
Ask it of me, and I will give thee nations for an inheritance, and for thy possession the uttermost ends of the earth.
9 நீர் அவர்களை ஓர் இரும்புச் செங்கோலினால் உடைப்பீர்; மண்பாண்டத்தை உடைப்பதுபோல், நீர் அவர்களை தூள்தூளாக நொறுக்கிப்போடுவீர்.”
Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; like a potter's vessel shalt thou dash them in pieces.”
10 ஆகவே, அரசர்களே, நீங்கள் ஞானமுள்ளவர்களாய் இருங்கள்; பூமியின் ஆளுநர்களே, நீங்கள் எச்சரிப்படையுங்கள்.
And now, O ye kings, be wise: take warning, ye judges of the earth.
11 பயத்துடன் யெகோவாவை வணங்குங்கள், நடுக்கத்துடன் அவர் ஆளுகையில் மகிழ்ந்திருங்கள்.
Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
12 இறைமகனை முத்தம் செய்யுங்கள், இல்லையென்றால் அவர் கோபங்கொள்வார்; நீங்களும் உங்கள் வழியில் அழிவீர்கள்; ஏனெனில் ஒரு நொடியில் அவருடைய கோபம் பற்றியெரியும். அவரிடத்தில் தஞ்சம் புகுந்த அனைவரும் ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்பட்டவர்கள்.
Do homage to the son, lest he be angry, and ye be lost on the way; for his wrath is so speedily kindled. Happy are all they that put their trust in him.
