நீதிமொழிகள் 8
1 ஞானம் அழைக்கிறதில்லையோ? புரிந்துகொள்ளுதல் குரல் எழுப்புகிறதில்லையோ?
Doth not wisdom cry? and understanding put forth her voice?
2 அது வழியிலுள்ள மேடுகளிலும் தெருக்கள் சந்திக்கும் இடங்களிலும் நிற்கிறது.
She standeth on the top of high places, by the way in the places of the paths.
3 அது பட்டணத்திற்குப் போகும் வாசல்களின் அருகில், அதின் நுழைவாசலில் நின்று, சத்தமிட்டுக் கூப்பிடுகிறது:
She crieth at the gates, at the entry of the city, at the entrance of the doors.
4 “மனிதர்களே, நான் உங்களைக் கூப்பிடுகிறேன்; மனுக்குலம் எல்லாம் கேட்கும்படி என் சத்தத்தை உயர்த்துகிறேன்.
To you, O men, I call; and my voice [is] to the sons of man.
5 அறிவில்லாதவர்களே, விவேகத்தை அடையுங்கள்; மூடர்களே, விவேகத்தின்மேல் மனதை வைத்துக்கொள்ளுங்கள்.
O ye simple, understand wisdom: and ye fools, be ye of an understanding heart.
6 கேளுங்கள், சொல்லுவதற்கு நம்பகமான காரியங்கள் என்னிடம் இருக்கிறது; என் உதடுகள் நேர்மையான காரியங்களைப் பேசும்.
Hear; for I will speak of excellent things; and the opening of my lips [shall be] right things.
7 உண்மையானது எதுவோ, அதையே என் வாய் பேசுகிறது; கொடுமையை என் உதடுகள் வெறுக்கிறது.
For my mouth shall speak truth; and wickedness [is] an abomination to my lips.
8 என் வாயின் வார்த்தைகள் எல்லாம் நீதியானவை; அவற்றில் கபடமோ, வஞ்சனையோ இல்லை.
All the words of my mouth [are] in righteousness; [there is] nothing froward or perverse in them.
9 பகுத்தறிவு உள்ளவர்களுக்கு அவை தெளிவானவை; அறிவுடையோருக்கு அவை நேர்மையானவை.
They [are] all plain to him that understandeth, and right to them that find knowledge.
10 வெள்ளியைவிட என் அறிவுரைகளையும் தங்கத்தைவிட அறிவையும் தெரிந்தெடு.
Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold.
11 ஏனெனில் ஞானம் பவளத்தைவிட அதிக மதிப்புள்ளது; நீ விரும்பும் எதுவும் அதற்கு நிகரானது அல்ல.
For wisdom [is] better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.
12 “ஞானமாகிய நான், விவேகத்துடன் ஒன்றாக குடியிருக்கிறேன்; எனக்கு அறிவும் பகுத்தறிவும் இருக்கிறது.
I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of ingenious inventions.
13 தீமையை வெறுப்பதே யெகோவாவுக்குப் பயந்து நடப்பதாகும்; பெருமையையும் அகந்தையையும் தீய நடத்தையையும் வஞ்சகப்பேச்சையும் நான் வெறுக்கிறேன்.
The fear of the LORD [is] to hate evil: pride, and arrogance, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.
14 ஆலோசனையும் நிதானிக்கும் ஆற்றலும் என்னுடையவை; என்னிடம் மெய்யறிவும் வல்லமையும் உண்டு.
Counsel [is] mine, and sound wisdom: I [am] understanding; I have strength.
15 என்னால் அரசர்கள் ஆட்சி செய்கிறார்கள், ஆளுநர்களும் நீதியான சட்டங்களை இயற்றுகிறார்கள்.
By me kings reign, and princes decree justice.
16 என்னால் இளவரசர்கள் ஆள்கிறார்கள், நீதிபதிகள் யாவரும் நீதித்தீர்ப்பை வழங்குகிறார்கள்.
By me princes rule, and nobles, [even] all the judges of the earth.
17 என்னை நேசிக்கிறவர்களை நானும் நேசிக்கிறேன்; என்னைத் தேடுகிறவர்கள் என்னைக் கண்டுகொள்வார்கள்.
I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.
18 என்னிடத்தில் செல்வமும் கனமும் நிலையான சொத்தும் நீதியும் இருக்கின்றன.
Riches and honor [are] with me; durable riches and righteousness.
19 என்னால் வரும் பலன் தங்கத்திலும் சிறந்தது; தரமான வெள்ளியிலும் மேன்மையானது.
My fruit [is] better than gold, yes, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver.
20 நான் நீதியான வழியிலும் நியாயமான பாதைகளிலும் நடக்கிறேன்.
I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment.
21 என்னை நேசிப்பவர்களுக்கு செல்வத்தை வழங்குகிறேன், அவர்களுடைய களஞ்சியத்தையும் நிரப்புகிறேன்.
That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures.
22 “யெகோவா தம் பூர்வீக செயல்களுக்கு முன்பே, தமது வேலைப்பாடுகளில் முதன்மையாக என்னைப் படைத்திருந்தார்;
The LORD possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old.
23 நீண்ட காலத்திற்கு முன்பு நான் உருவாக்கப்பட்டேன், உலகம் உண்டாவதற்கு முன்பே, ஆரம்பத்திலிருந்தே நான் படைக்கப்பட்டேன்.
I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was.
24 சமுத்திரங்கள் உண்டாவதற்கு முன்பே நான் பிறந்தேன், அப்பொழுது தண்ணீர் நிறைந்த ஊற்றுக்களும் இருக்கவில்லை.
When [there were] no depths, I was brought forth; when [there were] no fountains abounding with water.
25 மலைகளும் குன்றுகளும் அவற்றுக்குரிய இடங்களில் அமையுமுன்பே நான் பிறந்திருந்தேன்.
Before the mountains were settled, before the hills was I brought forth.
26 அவர் பூமியையோ அதின் நிலங்களையோ உலகத்தில் மண்ணையோ உண்டாக்குவதற்கு முன்பே நான் இருந்தேன்.
While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the highest part of the dust of the world.
27 அவர் வானங்களை அதற்குரிய இடத்தில் அமைத்தபோதும், ஆழத்தின் மேற்பரப்பில் அவர் அடிவானத்தை குறித்தபோதும் நான் அங்கிருந்தேன்.
When he prepared the heavens, I [was] there: when he set a compass upon the face of the depth:
28 அத்துடன் மேலே மேகத்தை நிலைநிறுத்தும் போதும், ஆழத்தின் ஊற்றுகளை கவனமாய் அமைத்தபோதும் நான் அங்கிருந்தேன்.
When he established the clouds above: when he strengthened the fountains of the deep:
29 கடலுக்கு எல்லையை அமைத்து, தண்ணீர் அவருடைய கட்டளையை மீறி வெளியேறாதபடி அவர் பூமிக்கு அதின் அஸ்திபாரத்தைக் குறியிட்டபோதும் நான் அங்கேயே இருந்தேன்.
When he gave to the sea his decree, that the waters should not pass his commandment: when he appointed the foundations of the earth:
30 அப்பொழுது நான் யெகோவாவின் அருகில் ஒரு திறமைவாய்ந்த சிற்பியாக இருந்தேன். நான் நாள்தோறும் அவருக்குப் பிரியமாயிருந்து, எப்பொழுதும் அவருக்கு முன்பாகக் களிகூர்ந்தேன்.
Then I was by him, [as] one brought up [with him]: and I was daily [his] delight, rejoicing always before him;
31 அவருடைய உலகம் முழுவதிலும் நான் சந்தோஷமாய் செயலாற்றி, மனுமக்களில் நான் மகிழ்ச்சி அடைந்தேன்.
Rejoicing in the habitable part of his earth; and my delights [were] with the sons of men.
32 “ஆகையால் என் பிள்ளைகளே, எனக்குச் செவிகொடுங்கள்; எனது வழியைக் கைக்கொள்ளுகிறவர்கள் ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்பட்டவர்கள்.
Now therefore hearken to me, O ye children: for blessed [are they that] keep my ways.
33 எனது அறிவுறுத்தலைக் கேட்டு ஞானமுள்ளவர்களாயிருங்கள்; அதை அலட்சியம் செய்யவேண்டாம்.
Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not.
34 நாள்தோறும் என் வாசலில் காவல் செய்து, என் கதவருகே காத்திருந்து, எனக்குச் செவிகொடுப்பவர்கள் ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்பட்டவர்கள்.
Blessed [is] the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.
35 என்னைத் தேடிக் கண்டடைகிறவர்கள் வாழ்வைக் கண்டடைவார்கள்; யெகோவாவிடமிருந்து தயவையும் பெறுவார்கள்.
For whoever findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favor from the LORD.
36 ஆனால் என்னைத் தேடிக் கண்டடையாதவர்கள் தங்களுக்கே தீமை செய்கிறார்கள்; என்னை வெறுக்கிறவர்கள் மரணத்தையே விரும்புகிறார்கள்.”
But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death.
