நீதிமொழிகள் 29
1 அநேகமுறை கண்டிக்கப்பட்டும், பிடிவாதமாகவே இருக்கிறவர்கள், திடீரென தீர்வு இல்லாமல் அழிந்துபோவார்கள்.
A man that hardeneth his necke when he is rebuked, shall suddenly be destroyed and can not be cured.
2 நீதிமான்கள் பெருகும்போது, மக்கள் மகிழ்ச்சியடைவார்கள்; கொடியவர்கள் ஆளும்போதோ, மக்கள் வேதனைக் குரல் எழுப்புவார்கள்.
When the righteous are in authoritie, the people reioyce: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people sigh.
3 ஞானத்தை விரும்புகிறவன் தன் தகப்பனுக்கு மகிழ்ச்சியைக் கொடுக்கிறான்; ஆனால் விபசாரிகளுடன் கூட்டாளியாய் இருப்பவன் தன்னுடைய செல்வத்தைச் சீரழிக்கிறான்.
A man that loueth wisdome, reioyceth his father: but he that feedeth harlots, wasteth his substance.
4 அரசன் நியாயத்தினால் நாட்டை நிலைநிறுத்துகிறான்; ஆனால் இலஞ்சத்தின்மேல் பேராசை கொண்டவர்கள் நாட்டை அழிக்கிறார்கள்.
A King by iudgement mainteineth ye countrey: but a man receiuing giftes, destroyeth it.
5 தனக்கு அடுத்திருப்போரை முகஸ்துதி செய்கிறவர்கள், அவருடைய கால்களுக்கு வலையை விரிக்கிறார்கள்.
A man that flattereth his neighbour, spreadeth a net for his steps.
6 தீயவர் தங்கள் பாவத்திலேயே சிக்கிக்கொள்கிறார்கள், ஆனால் நீதிமான்கள் ஆர்ப்பரித்து மகிழ்கிறார்கள்.
In the transgression of an euill man is his snare: but the righteous doeth sing and reioyce.
7 நீதிமான்கள் ஏழைகளுக்கு நியாயம் கிடைக்கவேண்டும் என்பதில் கவனமாயிருக்கிறார்கள்; ஆனால் கொடியவர்களுக்கு அந்த அக்கறையில்லை.
The righteous knoweth the cause of the poore: but the wicked regardeth not knowledge.
8 ஏளனம் செய்பவர்கள் பட்டணத்தில் குழப்பத்தை உண்டுபண்ணுகிறார்கள்; ஆனால் ஞானமுள்ளவர்கள் கோபத்தை விலக்குகிறார்கள்.
Scornefull men bring a citie into a snare: but wise men turne away wrath.
9 ஞானமுள்ளவர் மூடரை நீதிமன்றத்திற்குக் கொண்டுபோனால், மூடர் சினங்கொண்டு கேலிசெய்வார், அங்கு அமைதி இருக்காது.
If a wise man contend with a foolish man, whether he be angry or laugh, there is no rest.
10 இரத்தவெறியர் உத்தமமானவர்களை வெறுக்கிறார்கள்; நீதிமான்களைக் கொல்லும்படி தேடுகிறார்கள்.
Bloodie men hate him that is vpright: but the iust haue care of his soule.
11 மதியீனர்கள் தம் கோபத்தை அடக்காமல் வெளிப்படுத்துகிறார்கள்; ஆனால் ஞானமுள்ளவர்கள் அதை அடக்கிக் கொள்கிறார்கள்.
A foole powreth out all his minde: but a wise man keepeth it in till afterward.
12 ஒரு ஆளுநர் பொய்களுக்குச் செவிகொடுத்தால், அவருடைய ஊழியர்கள் எல்லோரும் கொடியவராவார்கள்.
Of a prince that hearkeneth to lyes, all his seruants are wicked.
13 ஏழைக்கும் அவரை ஒடுக்கிறவருக்கும் பொதுவானது ஒன்று உண்டு: யெகோவாவே அந்த இருவரின் கண்களுக்கும் பார்வையைக் கொடுத்திருக்கிறார்.
The poore and the vsurer meete together, and the Lord lighteneth both their eyes.
14 அரசன் ஏழைகளுக்கு நியாயத்துடன் தீர்ப்பளித்தால், அவனுடைய சிங்காசனம் எப்பொழுதும் நிலைத்திருக்கும்.
A King that iudgeth the poore in trueth, his throne shalbe established for euer.
15 பிரம்பும் கண்டனமும் ஞானத்தைக் கொடுக்கும், ஆனால் தன் விருப்பப்படி வளரவிடப்படுகிற பிள்ளையோ, தன் தாய்க்கு அவமானத்தைக் கொண்டுவரும்.
The rodde and correction giue wisdome: but a childe set a libertie, maketh his mother ashamed.
16 கொடியவர்கள் பெருகும்போது பாவமும் பெருகும், ஆனால் நீதிமான்கள் அவர்களுடைய வீழ்ச்சியைக் காண்பார்கள்.
When the wicked are increased, transgression increaseth: but ye righteous shall see their fall.
17 உன் பிள்ளைகளை கண்டித்துத் திருத்து, அவர்கள் உனக்கு மன ஆறுதலைக் கொடுப்பார்கள்; அவர்கள் உன் மனதை சந்தோஷப்படுத்துவார்கள்.
Correct thy sonne and he will giue thee rest, and will giue pleasures to thy soule.
18 இறைவெளிப்பாடு இல்லாத இடத்தில் மக்கள் கட்டுக்கடங்காதிருப்பார்கள்; ஆனால் ஞானத்தின் சட்டத்தைக் கைக்கொள்கிறவர்கள் ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்பட்டவர்கள்.
Where there is no vision, the people decay: but he that keepeth the Lawe, is blessed.
19 வேலைக்காரர்களை வெறும் வார்த்தையினால் திருத்தமுடியாது; அவர்கள் அதை விளங்கிக்கொண்டாலும் அதை கவனத்தில் கொள்ளமாட்டார்கள்.
A seruant will not be chastised with words: though he vnderstand, yet he will not answere.
20 பதற்றப்பட்டுப் பேசுபவனை நீ பார்த்திருக்கிறாயா? அவரைவிட மூடராவது திருந்துவாரென்று நம்பலாம்.
Seest thou a man hastie in his matters? there is more hope of a foole, then of him.
21 ஒருவர் தன் வேலைக்காரர்களை இளமையில் கட்டுப்பாடில்லாமல் விட்டால், இறுதியில் அவர்கள் ஆணவம் பிடித்தவர்களாவார்கள்.
He that delicately bringeth vp his seruant from youth, at length he will be euen as his sone.
22 கோபக்காரர்கள் பிரிவினையைத் தூண்டிவிடுகிறார்கள்; முற்கோபிகள் அநேக பாவங்களைச் செய்கிறார்கள்.
An angrie man stirreth vp strife, and a furious man aboundeth in transgression.
23 ஒருவருடைய அகந்தை அவரை வீழ்த்தும், ஆனால் மனத்தாழ்மை கனத்தைக் கொண்டுவரும்.
The pride of a man shall bring him lowe: but the humble in spirit shall enioy glory.
24 திருடர்களுக்கு உடந்தையாய் இருப்பவர்கள் தங்களுக்கே பகைவராய் இருக்கிறார்கள்; அவர்கள் ஆணைக்குக் கட்டுப்பட்டதினால் சாட்சி சொல்லத் துணியமாட்டார்கள்.
He that is partner with a thiefe, hateth his owne soule: he heareth cursing, and declareth it not.
25 மனிதருக்குப் பயப்படுவது கண்ணியாயிருக்கும்; ஆனால் யெகோவாவிடம் நம்பிக்கை வைப்பவர்கள் பாதுகாக்கப்படுவார்கள்.
The feare of man bringeth a snare: but he that trusteth in the Lord, shalbe exalted.
26 அநேகர் ஆளுநரின் தயவை தேடுகிறார்கள்; ஆனால் யெகோவாவிடமிருந்தே மனிதர் நியாயத்தைப் பெறுகிறார்கள்.
Many doe seeke the face of the ruler: but euery mans iudgement commeth from the Lord.
27 நீதிமான்கள் நேர்மையற்றவர்களை வெறுக்கிறார்கள்; கொடியவர்கள் நீதிமான்களை வெறுக்கிறார்கள்.
A wicked man is abomination to the iust, and he that is vpright in his way, is abomination to the wicked.
