நீதிமொழிகள் 10

1 சாலொமோனின் நீதிமொழிகள்: ஞானமுள்ள மகன் தன் தகப்பனுக்கு மகிழ்ச்சியைக் கொண்டுவருகிறான்; ஆனால் மூடத்தனமுள்ள மகனோ தன் தாய்க்கு துக்கத்தைக் கொடுக்கிறான்.

THE PARABLE OF SALOMON. A wise sonne maketh a glad father: but a foolish sonne is an heauines to his mother.

2 நீதியற்ற வழியில் சம்பாதித்த செல்வம் பயனற்றது, ஆனால் நீதியோ ஒருவனை மரணத்திலிருந்து விடுவிக்கிறது.

The treasures of wickednesse profite nothing: but righteousnesse deliuereth from death.

3 யெகோவா நீதிமான்களைப் பசியாயிருக்க விடுவதில்லை, ஆனால் கொடியவர்களின் பேராசையை அவர் நிறைவேற்றமாட்டார்.

The Lord will not famish the soule of the righteous: but he casteth away the substance of the wicked.

4 சோம்பேறிகளின் கைகள் வறுமையை உண்டாக்கும், ஆனால் உழைக்கும் கைகளோ செல்வத்தைக் கொண்டுவரும்.

A slouthfull hand maketh poore: but the hand of the diligent maketh riche.

5 கோடைகாலத்தில் பயிர்களை சேர்க்கிறவன் விவேகமுள்ள மகன்; ஆனால் அறுவடைக்காலத்தில் தூங்குகிறவனோ, அவமானத்தைக் கொண்டுவரும் மகன்.

He that gathereth in sommer, is the sonne of wisdome: but he that sleepeth in haruest, is the sonne of confusion.

6 நீதிமான்களின் தலையை ஆசீர்வாதங்கள் முடிசூட்டும்; ஆனால் கொடியவர்களின் பேச்சோ வன்முறை நிறைந்திருக்கும்.

Blessings are vpon the head of the righteous: but iniquitie shall couer the mouth of the wicked.

7 நீதிமான்களைப் பற்றிய நினைவு ஆசீர்வாதமாயிருக்கும்; ஆனால் கொடியவர்களின் பெயரோ அழிந்துபோகும்.

The memoriall of the iust shalbe blessed: but the name of the wicked shall rotte.

8 இருதயத்தில் ஞானமுள்ளவர்கள் கட்டளைகளை ஏற்றுக்கொள்கிறார்கள்; ஆனால் அலட்டுகிற மூடன் அழிந்துபோகிறான்.

The wise in heart will receiue commandements: but the foolish in talke shalbe beaten.

9 நேர்மையாய் நடக்கிறவர்கள் பாதுகாப்பாக நடக்கிறார்கள், ஆனால் நேர்மையற்ற வழிகளில் நடக்கிறவர்கள் வீழ்ந்து போவார்கள்.

He that walketh vprightly, walketh boldely: but he that peruerteth his wayes, shalbe knowen.

10 தீயநோக்கத்தோடு கண் சிமிட்டுகிறவன் துயரத்தை உண்டாக்குகிறான்; அலட்டுகிற மூடன் அழிந்துபோகிறான்.

He that winketh with the eye, worketh sorowe, and he yet is foolish in talke, shalbe beaten.

11 நீதிமான்களின் வாய் வாழ்வின் நீரூற்று, ஆனால் கொடியவர்களின் பேச்சோ வன்முறை நிறைந்திருக்கும்.

The mouth of a righteous man is a welspring of life: but iniquitie couereth the mouth of the wicked.

12 பகைமை பிரிவினையைத் தூண்டிவிடுகிறது; அன்போ பிழைகளையெல்லாம் மன்னித்து மறக்கிறது.

Hatred stirreth vp contentions: but loue couereth all trespasses.

13 பகுத்தறிகிறவர்களின் உதடுகளில் ஞானம் காணப்படுகிறது, ஆனால் மூடரின் முதுகுக்கு ஏற்றது பிரம்பே.

In the lippes of him that hath vnderstanding wisdome is founde, and a rod shalbe for the backe of him that is destitute of wisedome.

14 ஞானமுள்ளவர்கள் அறிவைச் சேர்த்துவைக்கிறார்கள்; ஆனால் மூடரின் வாயோ அழிவை அழைக்கிறது.

Wise men lay vp knowledge: but ye mouth of the foole is a present destruction.

15 பணக்காரர்களின் செல்வம் அவர்களுடைய அரணான பட்டணம்; ஆனால் ஏழையின் வறுமை அவர்களின் அழிவு.

The riche mans goodes are his strong citie: but the feare of the needie is their pouertie.

16 நீதிமான்களின் கூலி, அவர்களுக்கு வாழ்வு, ஆனால் கொடியவர்கள் தங்கள் பாவத்திற்கேற்ற தண்டனையை அடைவார்கள்.

The labour of the righteous tendeth to life: but the reuenues of the wicked to sinne.

17 நற்கட்டுப்பாட்டை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளுகிறவன் வாழ்வின் வழியைக் காட்டுகிறான்; ஆனால் கண்டித்துத் திருத்துவதை அலட்சியம் செய்கிறவனோ, மற்றவர்களையும் வழிதவறப்பண்ணுகிறான்.

He that regardeth instruction, is in the way of life: but he that refuseth correction, goeth out of the way.

18 பகையை மறைப்பவன் பொய்யன்; அவதூறு பரப்புகிறவன் மூடன்.

He that dissembleth hatred with lying lips, and he that inuenteth slaunder, is a foole.

19 அதிக வார்த்தைகள் பேசும் இடத்தில் பாவமில்லாமற்போகாது; ஆனால் தன் நாவைக் கட்டுப்படுத்துகிறவனோ விவேகமுள்ளவன்.

In many wordes there cannot want iniquitie: but he that refrayneth his lippes, is wise.

20 நீதிமான்களின் நாவு தரமான வெள்ளி, ஆனால் கொடியவர்களின் இருதயமோ சொற்பவிலையும் பெறாது.

The tongue of the iust man is as fined siluer: but the heart of the wicked is litle worth.

21 நீதிமான்களின் வார்த்தைகள் அநேகருக்கு ஊட்டம்; ஆனால் மூடர்கள் மதிகேட்டினால் சாகிறார்கள்.

The lippes of the righteous doe feede many: but fooles shall die for want of wisedome.

22 யெகோவாவின் ஆசீர்வாதம் செல்வத்தைக் கொண்டுவருகிறது; அதனுடன் அவர் துன்பத்தைச் சேர்க்கமாட்டார்.

The blessing of the Lord, it maketh riche, and he doeth adde no sorowes with it.

23 தீங்கு செய்வது மூடர்களுக்கு வேடிக்கையானது; ஆனால் ஞானம் புரிந்துகொள்ளுதல் உள்ளவர்களுக்கு மகிழ்ச்சியானது.

It is as a pastime to a foole to doe wickedly: but wisedome is vnderstanding to a man.

24 கொடியவர்கள் எதற்குப் பயப்படுகிறார்களோ, அது அவர்களுக்கு நேரிடும்; நீதிமான்கள் விரும்புவது கொடுக்கப்படும்.

That which the wicked feareth, shall come vpon him: but God wil graunt the desire of the righteous.

25 சுழல் காற்று அடித்துச் செல்லும்போது, கொடியவர்கள் இல்லாமற்போவார்கள்; ஆனால் நீதிமான்கள் என்றென்றைக்கும் உறுதியாய் நிலைத்து நிற்பார்கள்.

As the whirlewinde passeth, so is the wicked no more: but the righteous is as an euerlasting foundation.

26 பற்களுக்குப் புளிப்பும், கண்களுக்கு புகையும் எப்படியோ, சோம்பேறியும் தன்னை அனுப்புகிறவர்களுக்கு அப்படி இருக்கிறான்.

As vineger is to the teeth, and as smoke to the eyes, so is the slouthful to them that send him.

27 யெகோவாவுக்குப் பயந்து நடப்பது வாழ்நாட்களை நீடிக்கும், ஆனால் கொடியவர்களின் வருடங்களோ குறைக்கப்படும்.

The feare of the Lord increaseth the dayes: but the yeeres of the wicked shalbe diminished.

28 நீதிமான்களின் நம்பிக்கை மகிழ்ச்சியாயிருக்கும், ஆனால் கொடியவர்களின் எதிர்பார்ப்போ ஒன்றுமில்லாமற்போம்.

The patient abiding of the righteous shall be gladnesse: but the hope of the wicked shall perish.

29 யெகோவாவின் வழி நீதிமான்களுக்கு புகலிடம், ஆனால் தீமை செய்பவர்களுக்கு அது அழிவு.

The way of the Lord is strength to the vpright man: but feare shall be for the workers of iniquitie.

30 நீதிமான்கள் ஒருபோதும் அசைக்கப்படுவதில்லை; ஆனால் கொடியவர்கள் நாட்டில் நிலைத்திருக்கமாட்டார்கள்.

The righteous shall neuer be remooued: but the wicked shall not dwell in the land.

31 நீதிமான்களின் பேச்சு ஞானத்தைக் கொடுக்கும், ஆனால் வஞ்சகநாவு அழிக்கப்படும்.

The mouth of the iust shall be fruitfull in wisdome: but the tongue of the froward shall be cut out.

32 நீதிமான்களின் உதடுகள் தகுதியானவற்றைப் பேசும்; ஆனால் கொடியவர்களின் வாயோ வஞ்சகமான வார்த்தைகளைப் பேசும்.

The lips of the righteous knowe what is acceptable: but the mouth of the wicked speaketh froward things.
