பிலிப்பியர் 2

1 எனவே கிறிஸ்துவோடு இணைந்திருப்பதனால், உங்களுக்கு ஏதாவது உற்சாகம் இருந்தால், அவருடைய அன்பில் ஏதாவது ஆறுதலோ, ஆவியானவரோடு ஏதாவது ஐக்கியமோ, ஏதாவது தயவோ, கருணையோ உங்களுக்கு இருக்குமானால்,

Therefore if you have any encouragement in Christ, if any comfort from His love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any affection and compassion,

2 ஒரே மனதுடனும், ஒரே அன்புடனும், இருதயத்திலும் நோக்கத்திலும் ஒற்றுமையாயிருந்து, எனது மகிழ்ச்சியை முழுமையாக்குங்கள்.

then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being united in spirit and purpose.

3 சுயநலத்திற்காகவும் வீண்பெருமைக்காகவும் ஒன்றும் செய்யவேண்டாம். மாறாக, தாழ்மையான மனதுடன் மற்றவர்களை உங்களைவிடச் சிறந்தவர்களாக எண்ணுங்கள்.

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or empty pride, but in humility consider others more important than yourselves.

4 நீங்கள் ஒவ்வொருவரும், உங்கள் சொந்த நலன்களில் மட்டும் அக்கறைகொள்ளாமல், மற்றவர்களுடைய நலன்களிலும் அக்கறைகொள்ள வேண்டும்.

Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.

5 கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவுக்கு இருந்த மனப்பான்மையே உங்களுக்கும் இருக்கவேண்டும்:

Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus:

6 அவர் தன் முழுத்தன்மையிலும் இறைவனாயிருந்தும், இறைவனுடன் சமமாயிருக்கும் சிறப்புரிமையை விடாது பற்றிப் பிடித்துக்கொண்டிருக்க வேண்டுமென்று எண்ணவில்லை.

Who, existing in the form of God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped,

7 ஆனால் அவர் தம்மைத்தாமே வெறுமையாக்கி, அடிமைத் தன்மையை ஏற்றுக்கொண்டு, மனிதனின் சாயலுடையவரானார்.

but emptied Himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in human likeness.

8 தோற்றத்தில் ஒரு மனிதனைப்போல் காணப்பட்டு, அவர் தம்மைத்தாமே தாழ்த்தி, சாகும் அளவுக்கு கீழ்ப்படிந்தார். அதாவது சிலுவையின்மேல் சாகுமளவுக்கு முற்றுமாகக் கீழ்ப்படிந்தார்.

And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to death— even death on a cross.

9 அதனாலே இறைவன் அவரை மிக மேலான இடத்திற்கு உயர்த்தி, எல்லாப் பெயர்களையும்விட உன்னதமான பெயரை அவருக்குக் கொடுத்தார்.

Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him the name above all names,

10 அதனால் இயேசுவின் பெயருக்கு ஒவ்வொரு முழங்காலும் முடங்கும். பரலோகத்திலும் பூமியிலும் பூமியின்கீழும் உள்ளவர்களின் எல்லா முழங்கால்களும் முடங்கும்.

that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,

11 பிதாவாகிய இறைவனுக்கு மகிமை உண்டாகும்படி, ஒவ்வொரு நாவும் இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவே கர்த்தர் என்று அறிக்கையிடும்.

and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

12 ஆகையால் என் அன்புக்குரிய நண்பர்களே, நீங்கள் எப்போதும் கீழ்ப்படிகிறது போலவே, நான் இருக்கும்போது மட்டுல்ல, நான் இப்போது இல்லாதிருக்கையிலும் அதிகமாகக் கீழ்ப்படிந்திருங்கள். தொடர்ந்து உங்கள் இரட்சிப்பை பயத்துடனும், நடுக்கத்துடனும் செயல்படுத்துங்கள்.

Therefore, my beloved, just as you have always obeyed, not only in my presence, but now even more in my absence, continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling.

13 ஏனெனில், இறைவனே தனது நல்ல நோக்கத்திற்கு ஏற்றபடி, நீங்கள் செயலாற்றுவதற்கான விருப்பங்களையும், ஆற்றலையும் கொடுத்து உங்களுக்குள் செயலாற்றுகிறார்.

For it is God who works in you to will and to act on behalf of His good purpose.

14 முறுமுறுப்பில்லாமலும், வாதாடாமலும் எல்லாவற்றையும் செய்யுங்கள்.

Do everything without complaining or arguing,

15 அப்பொழுதுதான் நீங்கள் குற்றமற்றவர்களும், தூய்மையானவர்களுமான “பிழையேதுமில்லாத இறைவனுடைய பிள்ளைகளாய், நெறிகெட்ட சீர்கேடான இந்தத் தலைமுறையினரிடையே இருப்பீர்கள்.” அவர்களிடையே, நீங்கள் வான மண்டலங்களிலுள்ள நட்சத்திரங்களைப்போல் பிரகாசிப்பீர்கள்.

so that you may be blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and perverse generation, in which you shine as lights in the world

16 நீங்கள் வாழ்வின் வார்த்தையைப் பற்றிப்பிடித்து கொண்டவர்களாயிருந்தால் நான் ஓடிய ஓட்டமும், எனது உழைப்பும் வீணாகவில்லை என்று நான் கிறிஸ்து திரும்பிவரும் நாளில் பெருமையடைவேன்.

as you hold forth the word of life, in order that I may boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor in vain.

17 ஆனால் உங்கள் விசுவாசத்தினால் வரும் பலியின்மேலும், ஊழியத்தின்மேலும் நான் பானபலியாக ஊற்றப்பட்டாலும், நான் உங்கள் எல்லோருடனும் சந்தோஷமும், மகிழ்ச்சியும் அடைகிறேன்.

But even if I am being poured out like a drink offering on the sacrifice and service of your faith, I am glad and rejoice with all of you.

18 எனவே நீங்களும்கூட என்னுடன் சந்தோஷமும் மகிழ்ச்சியுமாயிருக்க வேண்டும்.

So you too should be glad and rejoice with me.

19 அன்றியும் தீமோத்தேயுவை உங்களிடம் விரைவில் அனுப்பலாம் என்று கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுவில் நான் எதிர்பார்க்கிறேன். அப்பொழுது அவன்மூலம் உங்களைப்பற்றிய செய்திகளை அறிந்து நானும் உற்சாகமடைவேன்.

Now I hope in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy to you soon, that I also may be cheered when I learn how you are doing.

20 அவனைப்போல் உங்கள் சுகநலன்களில் உண்மையான கரிசனைக் கொள்வதற்கு அவனைத்தவிர வேறொருவனும் என்னிடம் இல்லை.

I have nobody else like him who will genuinely care for your needs.

21 ஏனெனில் ஒவ்வொருவனும், தன் சொந்த நலன்களில் கரிசனை கொள்கிறானேதவிர, இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவுக்கு உரியவைகளில் கரிசனைகொள்வதில்லை.

For all the others look after their own interests, not those of Jesus Christ.

22 ஆனால் தீமோத்தேயுவோ, ஒரு மகன் தன் தந்தையுடன் வேலையில் இருப்பதுபோல், என்னுடன் சேர்ந்து நற்செய்திப் பணியில் ஊழியம் செய்திருக்கிறான். இதன்மூலம், அவன் தன்னை நிரூபித்திருக்கிறான் என்பது உங்களுக்குத் தெரியும்.

But you know Timothy’s proven worth, that as a child with his father he has served with me to advance the gospel.

23 எனக்கு இங்கே என்ன நடக்கும் என்று நான் அறிந்தவுடனே, அவனை உங்களிடம் அனுப்பலாம் என எதிர்பார்க்கிறேன்.

So I hope to send him as soon as I see what happens with me.

24 நானும் உங்களிடம் விரைவில் வருவேன் என்று கர்த்தரில் மனவுறுதியாயிருக்கிறேன்.

And I trust in the Lord that I myself will come soon.

25 ஆனால் இப்பொழுது என்னுடைய தேவைகளில் எனக்கு உதவிசெய்யும்படி நீங்கள் அனுப்பிய உங்கள் தூதுவனான எப்பாப்பிராத்துவைத் திரும்பவும் உங்களிடம் அனுப்புவது அவசியம் என எண்ணுகிறேன். அவன் என் சகோதரனும் உடன் ஊழியனும், என் உடனொத்த போர் வீரனுமாயிருக்கிறான்.

But I thought it necessary to send back to you Epaphroditus, my brother, fellow worker, and fellow soldier, who is also your messenger and minister to my needs.

26 அவன் உங்கள் எல்லோரையும் காண ஆவலாயிருக்கிறான். தான் சுகவீனமாய் இருந்ததை நீங்கள் கேள்விப்பட்டதினால் அவன் மிகவும் துக்கமடைந்திருக்கிறான்.

For he has been longing for all of you and is distressed because you heard he was ill.

27 அவன் நோயினால் சாகும் தருவாயில் இருந்தது உண்மையே. ஆனால் இறைவன் அவன்மேல் இரக்கம் கொண்டார். அவனில் மட்டும் அல்ல, துக்கத்தின்மேல் துக்கம் எனக்கும் வராமல் அவர் என்மேலும் இரக்கம் கொண்டார்.

He was sick indeed, nearly unto death. But God had mercy on him, and not only on him but also on me, to spare me sorrow upon sorrow.

28 ஆகையால், நீங்கள் மீண்டும் அவனைக் கண்டு மகிழ்ச்சியடையும்படி, அவனை அனுப்புவதற்கு நான் மிகவும் ஆவலாய் இருக்கிறேன். அப்பொழுது என் கவலை குறையும்.

Therefore I am all the more eager to send him, so that when you see him again you may rejoice, and I may be less anxious.

29 எனவே, அவனைக் கர்த்தரில் மகிழ்ச்சியுடன் வரவேற்றுக்கொள்ளுங்கள். இவனைப் போன்றவர்களுக்கு அதிக மதிப்புக்கொடுங்கள்.

Welcome him in the Lord with great joy, and honor men like him,

30 ஏனெனில் உங்களால் எனக்கு செய்யமுடியாத உதவியை, அவன் எனக்குச் செய்யும்படி, தனது உயிரையும் பொருட்படுத்தவில்லை. இவ்வாறு, கிறிஸ்துவின் ஊழியத்திற்காக சாகவும் தயங்கவில்லை.

because he nearly died for the work of Christ, risking his life to make up for your deficit of service to me.
