எண்ணாகமம் 27

1 செலொப்பியாத்தின் மகள்கள், யோசேப்பின் மகன் மனாசேயின் வம்சங்களில் ஒன்றைச் சேர்ந்தவர்கள். இந்த செலொப்பியாத் எப்பேரின் மகன். ஏப்பேர் கீலேயாத்தின் மகன். கீலேயாத் மாகீரின் மகன். மாக்கீர் மனாசேயின் மகன். செலொப்பியாத்தின் மகள்கள் மக்லாள், நோவாள், ஒக்லாள், மில்காள், திர்சாள் ஆகியோர்.

And there came nigh the daughters of Zelophehad, the son of Chepher, the son of Gil'ad, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, of the families of Menasseh the son of Joseph: and these are the names of his daughters, Machlah, No'ah, and Choglah, and Milcah, and Tirzah.

2 அவர்கள் சபைக் கூடாரவாசலுக்குச் சமீபமாய் வந்து, மோசேக்கும், ஆசாரியன் எலெயாசாருக்கும், தலைவர்களுக்கும், சபையார் அனைவருக்கும் முன்பாக நின்றார்கள். அப்பெண்கள் அவர்களிடம்,

And they stood before Moses, and before Elazar the priest, and before the princes, and all the congregation, by the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, saying,

3 “எங்கள் தகப்பன் பாலைவனத்தில் இறந்துவிட்டார். யெகோவாவுக்கு விரோதமாக ஒன்றுகூடி கோராகைப் பின்பற்றியவர்களின் மத்தியில் அவர் இருக்கவில்லை. அவர் தன்னுடைய பாவத்தினாலேயே இறந்துவிட்டார். அவருக்கு மகன்கள் ஒருவரும் இல்லை.

Our father died in the wilderness; but he was not among the company of those that gathered themselves together against the Lord in the company of Korach; but in his own sin he died, and sons he had not.

4 அவருக்கு மகன்கள் இல்லாதபடியால், எங்களுடைய தகப்பனின் பெயர் அவருடைய வம்சத்திலிருந்து இல்லாமல் போகவேண்டியதேன்? எங்கள் தகப்பனின் உறவினர்களுக்குள்ளே எங்களுக்கும் காணி தரவேண்டும்” என்றார்கள்.

Why should the name of our father be done away from the midst of his family, because he hath no son? Give unto us a possession among the brothers of our father.

5 மோசே அவர்களுடைய கோரிக்கையை யெகோவாவுக்கு முன்பாகக் கொண்டுவந்தான்.

And Moses brought their cause before the Lord.

6 யெகோவா அவனிடம்,

And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying,

7 “செலொப்பியாத்தின் மகள்கள் கேட்பது சரியானதே. நீ அவர்களுக்குச் சொத்துரிமையாக அவர்கள் தகப்பனின் உறவினர்கள் மத்தியில் காணியைக் கொடுக்கவேண்டும். இவ்விதமாய் நீ அவர்களுடைய தகப்பனின் சொத்துரிமையை அவர்களிடம் ஒப்புவிக்கவேண்டும்.

The daughters of Zelophehad speak rightly: thou shalt indeed give them a possession as an inheritance among the brothers of their father; and thou shalt cause the inheritance of their father to pass unto them.

8 “நீ இஸ்ரயேலருடன் சொல்லவேண்டியதாவது, ‘ஒரு மனிதன் மகன் இல்லாமல் இறந்துபோனால், அவனுடைய சொத்துரிமையை அவனுடைய மகளுக்கு ஒப்புவிக்கவேண்டும்.

And unto the children of Israel shalt thou speak, saying, If a man die, and have no son, then shall ye cause his inheritance to pass unto his daughter.

9 அவனுக்கு மகளும் இல்லாவிட்டால், அவனுடைய சொத்துரிமையை அவனுடைய சகோதரர்களுக்குக் கொடுக்கவேண்டும்.

And if he have no daughter, then shall ye give his inheritance unto his brothers.

10 அவனுக்குச் சகோதரர்களும் இல்லாவிட்டால், அவனுடைய சொத்துரிமையை அவனுடைய தகப்பனின் சகோதரர்களிடம் கொடுக்கவேண்டும்.

And if he have no brothers, then shall ye give his inheritance unto his father's brothers.

11 அவனுடைய தகப்பனுக்கும் சகோதரன் இல்லாதிருந்தால், அவனுடைய வம்சத்தில் அவனுக்கு நெருங்கிய உறவினனுக்கு அதைக் கொடுக்கவேண்டும். அவன் அதை உரிமையாக்கிக் கொள்ளட்டும். இது யெகோவா மோசேக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடியே இஸ்ரயேலருக்கு ஒரு சட்டபூர்வமான நடைமுறையாக இருக்கவேண்டும்’” என்றார்.

And if his father have no brothers, then shall ye give his inheritance unto his kinsman that is next to him of his family, and he shall inherit it; and it shall be unto the children of Israel a statute of justice, as the Lord hath commanded Moses.

12 பின்பு யெகோவா மோசேயிடம் சொன்னதாவது, “நீ அபாரீம் மலைத்தொடரிலுள்ள இம்மலையின் மேல் ஏறிப்போய், நான் இஸ்ரயேலருக்குக் கொடுத்திருக்கும் நாட்டைப் பார்.

And the Lord said unto Moses, Go thou up unto this mount of 'Abarim, and see the land which I have given unto the children of Israel.

13 நீ அதைப் பார்த்தபின், உன் சகோதரன் ஆரோனைப்போல், நீயும் உன் முன்னோர்களுடன் சேர்க்கப்படுவாய்.

And when thou hast seen it, then shalt thou also be gathered unto thy people, as Aaron thy brother hath been gathered.

14 ஏனென்றால், சீன் பாலைவனத்தின் தண்ணீரின் அருகே இந்த மக்கள் கலகம் பண்ணியபொழுது, அவர்களுக்குமுன் என்னைப் பரிசுத்தர் என்று கனம்பண்ணும்படி உங்களுக்குக் நான் கொடுத்த கட்டளைக்கு நீங்கள் இருவருமே கீழ்ப்படியவில்லை” என்றார். சீன் பாலைவனத்திலுள்ள காதேஸ் என்ற இடத்தில் உண்டான மேரிபாவின் தண்ணீரைப் பற்றியே இது சொல்லப்பட்டது.

Because ye rebelled against my order in the desert of Zin, at the quarreling of the congregation, to sanctify me through the waters before their eyes: these are the waters of Meribah in Kadesh, in the wilderness of Zin.

15 மோசே யெகோவாவிடம் சொன்னதாவது,

And Moses spoke unto the Lord, saying,

16 “முழு மனுக்குலத்தின் ஆவிகளுக்கும் இறைவனாகிய யெகோவா இந்த மக்கள் சமுதாயத்தின் மேலாக ஒரு மனிதனை நியமிப்பாராக!

Let the Lord, the God of the spirits of all flesh, appoint a man over the congregation,

17 யெகோவாவின் மக்கள் மேய்ப்பனில்லாத செம்மறியாடுகளைப்போல் இராதபடி அவர்களை வெளியே வழிநடத்திச் செல்லவும், உள்ளே கொண்டுவரவும் அவனை நியமிப்பாராக” என்றான்.

Who may go out before them, and who may come in before them, and who may lead them out, and who may bring them in; that the congregation of the Lord be not as a flock which have no shepherd.

18 எனவே யெகோவா மோசேயிடம், “நூனின் மகனும், ஆவியானவரைப் பெற்றிருக்கிறவனுமாகிய யோசுவாவைத் தெரிந்தெடுத்து, அவன்மேல் உன் கையை வை.

And the Lord said unto Moses, Take to thyself Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom there is a spirit, and thou shalt lay thy hand upon him;

19 ஆசாரியன் எலெயாசாருக்கு முன்பாகவும், சபையார் எல்லோருக்கும் முன்பாகவும், அவனை நிறுத்தி, அவர்கள் முன்னிலையில் அவனுக்குத் தலைமைப்பொறுப்பைக் கொடு.

And thou shalt cause him to stand before Elazar the priest, and before all the congregation; and thou shalt give him a charge before their eyes.

20 இஸ்ரயேல் சமுதாயம் முழுவதும் அவனுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படியும்படியாக உன் அதிகாரத்தில் ஒரளவை அவனுக்குக் கொடு.

And thou shalt put some of thy greatness upon him; in order that all the congregation of the children of Israel may be obedient.

21 அவன் ஆசாரியன் எலெயாசாருக்கு முன்பாக நிற்கவேண்டும். யோசுவா செய்யவேண்டிய தீர்மானங்களை எலெயாசார், யெகோவாவிடம் ஊரீம் மூலமாக விசாரித்து அறிவான். யோசுவாவின் கட்டளைப்படியே, அவனுடன் முழு இஸ்ரயேல் சமுதாயத்தாரும் வெளியே போவார்கள். அவனுடைய கட்டளைப்படியே அவர்கள் உள்ளே வருவார்கள்” என்றார்.

And before Elazar the priest shall he stand, and he shall ask of him after the judgment of the Urim before the Lord: at his direction shall they go out, and at his direction shall they come in, he, and all the children of Israel with him, and all the congregation.

22 யெகோவா தனக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடியே மோசே செய்தான். அவன் ஆசாரியன் எலெயாசார் முன்பாகவும், முழுசபையார் முன்பாகவும் யோசுவாவைக் கூட்டிக்கொண்டுபோய் நிறுத்தினான்.

And Moses did, as the Lord had commanded him; and he took Joshua, and caused him to stand before Elazar the priest, and before all the congregation;

23 பின்பு மோசே யெகோவா தனக்கு அறிவுறுத்தியபடியே யோசுவாவின்மேல் தன் கைகளை வைத்து, தலைமைப்பொறுப்பை அவனிடத்தில் கொடுத்தான்.

And he laid his hands upon him, and gave him a charge: as the Lord had commanded by the hand of Moses.
