எண்ணாகமம் 14

1 அந்தச் சமுதாய மக்கள் அனைவரும் அன்றிரவு சத்தமாய்க் கூக்குரலிட்டு அழுதார்கள்.

And it lifted up all the congregation and they gave forth voice their and they wept the people in the night that.

2 இஸ்ரயேலர் எல்லோருமே மோசேக்கும் ஆரோனுக்கும் விரோதமாக முறுமுறுத்தார்கள். சபையார் அனைவரும் அவர்களிடம், “நாங்கள் எகிப்தில் இறந்திருக்கலாம் அல்லது இந்த பாலைவனத்திலேயே இறந்திருக்கலாமே!

And they grumbled on Moses and on Aaron all [the] people of Israel and they said to them all the congregation if we had died in [the] land of Egypt or in the wilderness this if we had died.

3 வாளுக்கு இரையாகும்படி யெகோவா ஏன் எங்களை இந்த நாட்டிற்குக் கொண்டுவருகிறார்? எங்கள் மனைவிகளும், பிள்ளைகளும் அவர்கள் கையில் பிடிபட்டுக் கைதிகளாகப் போகப்போகிறார்களே! அதைவிட நாங்கள் எகிப்து நாட்டிற்குத் திரும்பிப்போவது நலமாயிருக்காதோ?” என்றார்கள்.

And why? [is] Yahweh bringing us into the land this to fall by the sword wives our and little one[s] our they will become plunder ¿ not good for us [is] to return Egypt towards.

4 மேலும், “நாம் நமக்கு ஒரு தலைவனைத் தெரிந்துகொண்டு எகிப்திற்குத் திரும்பிப் போகவேண்டும்” என்றும் அவர்கள் ஒருவரோடொருவர் சொல்லிக்கொண்டார்கள்.

And they said each to brother his let us appoint a leader and let us return Egypt towards.

5 அப்பொழுது மோசேயும், ஆரோனும் அங்கு கூடியிருந்த இஸ்ரயேல் சபைக்கு முன்பாக முகங்குப்புற விழுந்தார்கள்.

And he fell Moses and Aaron on faces their before all [the] assembly of [the] congregation of [the] people of Israel.

6 நாட்டை ஆராய்ந்து அறியச்சென்றவர்களில் நூனின் மகன் யோசுவாவும், எப்புன்னேயின் மகன் காலேப்பும் தங்கள் உடைகளைக் கிழித்துக்கொண்டார்கள்.

And Joshua [the] son of Nun and Caleb [the] son of Jephunneh one of those [who] spied out the land they tore clothes their.

7 அவர்கள் முழு இஸ்ரயேல் சபையையும் பார்த்து, “நாங்கள் கடந்துசென்று ஆராய்ந்து அறிந்த நாடு மிகமிக நல்ல நாடு.

And they said to all [the] congregation of [the] people of Israel saying the land which we passed in it to spy out it [is] good the land very very.

8 யெகோவா எங்களில் பிரியமாயிருந்தால், பாலும் தேனும் வழிந்தோடும் அந்த நாட்டிற்கு எங்களை வழிநடத்தி அதை எங்களுக்குத் தருவார்.

If he delights in us Yahweh and he will bring us into the land this and he will give it to us a land which it [is] flowing of milk and honey.

9 நீங்கள் யெகோவாவுக்கு விரோதமாக மட்டும் கலகம் செய்யாதீர்கள். அந்நாட்டு மக்களுக்குப் பயப்படவேண்டாம். ஏனெனில், நாங்கள் அவர்களை அழித்துவிடுவோம். அவர்களுடைய பாதுகாப்பு அவர்களைவிட்டுப் போய்விட்டது. யெகோவா எங்களோடிருக்கிறார். நீங்கள் அவர்களுக்குப் பயப்படவேண்டாம்” என்றார்கள்.

Only against Yahweh may not you rebel and you may not you fear [the] people of the land for [will be] bread our they it has departed shade their from over them and Yahweh [is] with us may not you fear them.

10 ஆனால் முழுசபையாரும் அவர்களுக்குக் கல்லெறியவேண்டுமென பேசிக்கொண்டார்கள். அவ்வேளையில் யெகோவாவின் மகிமை சபைக் கூடாரத்தில் எல்லா இஸ்ரயேலருக்கும் முன்பாகத் தோன்றியது.

And they said all the congregation to stone them with stones and [the] glory of Yahweh it appeared at [the] tent of meeting to all [the] people of Israel.

11 அப்பொழுது யெகோவா மோசேயிடம், “இம்மக்கள் எவ்வளவு காலத்திற்கு என்னை அவமதித்து நடப்பார்கள்? நான் இத்தனை அற்புத அடையாளங்கள் அவர்கள் மத்தியில் செய்திருக்கும்போது, எவ்வளவு காலத்திற்கு அவர்கள் என்னை விசுவாசிக்க மறுப்பார்கள்?

And he said Yahweh to Moses until when? will they spurn me the people this and until when? not will they believe in me with all the signs which I did in midst its.

12 அவர்களை நான் கொள்ளைநோயினால் வாதித்து அழிப்பேன். உன்னையோ அவர்களைப்பார்க்கிலும் பெரியதும் வல்லமையுள்ளதுமான ஒரு நாடாக்குவேன்” என்றார்.

I will strike it with pestilence and I will dispossess it and I may make you a nation great and mighty more than it.

13 அதற்கு மோசே யெகோவாவிடம், “அப்பொழுது எகிப்தியர் இதைக்குறித்து கேள்விப்படுவார்களே! நீர் இந்த மக்களை உம்முடைய வல்லமையினால் எகிப்திலிருந்து இங்கே கொண்டுவந்தீர்.

And he said Moses to Yahweh and they will hear Egypt that you brought up by strength your the people this from midst its.

14 எகிப்தியர் நாட்டு மக்களுக்கு அதைப்பற்றிச் சொல்வார்கள். யெகோவாவே, நீர் இந்த மக்கள் மத்தியில் இருக்கிறீர் என்றும், உமது மேகம் அவர்கள்மேல் இருக்கிறதென்றும், அவர்கள் உம்மை நேருக்குநேர் காணும்படி செய்தீர் என்றும், நீரே அவர்களுக்கு முன்பாக பகலில் மேகத்தூணாகவும், இரவில் நெருப்புத்தூணாகவும் போகிறீர் என்றும் அவர்கள் ஏற்கெனவே கேள்விப்பட்டிருக்கிறார்கள்.

And they will say to [the] inhabitant[s] of the land this they have heard that you O Yahweh [are] in [the] midst of the people this who eye in eye he was seen - you O Yahweh and cloud your [is] standing over them and in a pillar of cloud you [are] going before them by day and in a pillar of fire night.

15 நீர் இப்பொழுது இம்மக்களை ஒரேயடியாகக் கொன்றுபோடுவீரானால், உம்மைப் பற்றிய விவரத்தைக் கேள்விப்பட்ட பிறநாடுகள்,

And you will put to death the people this like a person one and they will say the nations which they have heard report your saying.

16 ‘தாம் ஆணையிட்டு வாக்குக்கொடுத்த நாட்டிற்குள் இந்த மக்களைக் கொண்டுவர யெகோவாவினால் முடியவில்லை. அதனால் அவர்களை பாலைவனத்திலேயே கொன்றுபோட்டார்’ என்பார்களே” என்றான்.

Because not was able Yahweh to bring the people this into the land which he swore to them and he has slaughtered them in the wilderness.

17 “யெகோவாவே, நீர் அறிவித்திருக்கிற உமது வல்லமையை இப்பொழுதே வெளிப்படுத்திக் காட்டுவீராக:

And therefore may it be great please [the] power of [the] Lord just as you have spoken saying.

18 ‘யெகோவா கோபப்படுவதற்குத் தாமதிக்கிறவர், அன்பினால் நிறைந்தவராய் பாவத்தையும் கலகத்தையும் மன்னிக்கிறவர். ஆனாலும், குற்றவாளிகளைத் தண்டனையின்றி தப்பிப்போக விடாதவர். பெற்றோரின் பாவங்களுக்காக மூன்றாம் நான்காம் தலைமுறைவரைக்கும் பிள்ளைகளைத் தண்டிக்கிறவர்’ என்று அறிவித்திருக்கிறீரே.

Yahweh [is] long of anger and great of covenant loyalty forgiving iniquity and transgression and certainly not he will leave unpunished visiting [the] iniquity of parents on [the] children on a third generation and on a fourth generation.

19 உமது மிகுந்த அன்பின்படியே, எகிப்திலிருந்து வந்தகாலம் தொடங்கி இன்றுவரை அவர்களை மன்னித்ததுபோல், இம்மக்களின் பாவத்தையும் இப்பொழுதும் மன்னியும்” என்று மன்றாடினான்.

Forgive please [the] iniquity of the people this according to [the] greatness of covenant loyalty your and just as you have forgiven the people this from Egypt and until now.

20 அதற்கு யெகோவா, “நீ கேட்டபடியே நான் அவர்களை மன்னித்துவிட்டேன்.

And he said Yahweh I have forgiven [them] according to word your.

21 ஆனாலும் நான் வாழ்வது நிச்சயம்போலவும், யெகோவாவினுடைய மகிமை பூமியை நிரப்புவது நிச்சயம்போலவும்,

And but [by] [the] life of me so may be filled [with the] glory of Yahweh all the earth.

22 என் மகிமையையும், எகிப்திலுள்ள பாலைவனத்தில் நான் செய்த அற்புத அடையாளங்களையும் கண்டும், எனக்குக் கீழ்ப்படியாமல் என்னை பத்துமுறை சோதித்த எவனும்,

For all the men who saw glory my and signs my which I did in Egypt and in the wilderness and they have put to [the] test me this ten times and not they have listened to voice my.

23 அவர்களுடைய முற்பிதாக்களுக்குத் தருவேன் என நான் ஆணையிட்டு வாக்குக்கொடுத்த நாட்டை ஒருபோதும் காணமாட்டான் என்பதும், என்னை அவமதித்து நடந்த எவனும் அதை ஒருபோதும் காணமாட்டான் என்பதும் நிச்சயம்.

If they will see the land which I swore to ancestors their and all [those who] have spurned me not they will see it.

24 ஆனால், என் பணியாளன் காலேப் ஒரு வித்தியாசமான ஆவி உடையவனாயும், தன் முழு இருதயத்தோடும் என்னைப் பின்பற்றுகிறவனாயும் இருப்பதால், அவன் போய்ப் பார்த்த அந்த நாட்டிற்குள் நான் அவனைக் கொண்டுவருவேன். அவனுடைய சந்ததிகளும் அதை உரிமையாக்கிக்கொள்வார்கள்.

And servant my Caleb consequence it has been a spirit another with him and he has filled after me and I will bring him into the land where he went there and offspring his it will take possession of it.

25 அமலேக்கியரும், கானானியரும் பள்ளத்தாக்குகளில் வாழ்கிறார்கள். அதனால் நீங்கள் நாளைக்குச் செங்கடலுக்குப் போகிற வழியால் திரும்பவும் பாலைவனத்துக்குப் போங்கள்” என்றார்.

And the Amalekite[s] and the Canaanite[s] [was] dwelling in the valley[s] tomorrow turn and set out for yourselves the wilderness [the] way of [the] sea of reed[s].

26 அத்துடன் யெகோவா மோசேயிடமும் ஆரோனிடமும் சொன்னதாவது:

And he spoke Yahweh to Moses and to Aaron saying.

27 “இந்த கொடுமையான சமுதாயம் எவ்வளவு காலத்திற்கு எனக்கு விரோதமாக முறுமுறுக்கும்? முறுமுறுக்கும் இந்த இஸ்ரயேலர்களின் முறையீட்டை நான் கேட்டிருக்கிறேன்.

Until when? to the congregation evil this which they [are] grumbling on me [the] grumblings of [the] people of Israel which they [are] grumbling on me I have heard.

28 எனவே நீ அவர்களிடம், ‘நான் வாழ்வது நிச்சயம்போலவே, எனக்கு கேட்கும்படி நீங்கள் முறுமுறுத்த அதே காரியங்களை நான் உங்களுக்குச் செய்வேன் என்பது நிச்சயம்’ என அவர்களுக்குச் சொல் என்று யெகோவா அறிவிக்கிறார்.

Say to them [by] [the] life of me [the] utterance of Yahweh if not just as you have spoken in ears my so I will do to you.

29 இப்பாலைவனத்திலே உங்கள் உடல்கள் விழும். குடிமதிப்பில் கணக்கெடுக்கப்பட்ட இருபது வயதையும், அதற்கு மேற்பட்ட வயதையும் உடையவர்களும், எனக்கு விரோதமாக முறுமுறுத்தவர்களுமான நீங்கள் ஒவ்வொருவரும் விழுவீர்கள்.

In the wilderness this they will fall corpses your and all enrolled [men] your of all number your from a son of twenty year[s] and up-wards who you have grumbled on me.

30 நான் என் கைகளை உயர்த்தி, ஆணையிட்டு, ‘நீங்கள் குடியிருப்பதற்காக வாக்குப்பண்ணிக்கொடுத்த நாட்டிற்குள் எப்புன்னேயின் மகன் காலேப்பையும், நூனின் மகன் யோசுவாவையும் தவிர வேறு எவனும் போவதில்லை’ என்று சொல்கிறேன்.

If you you will go into the land which I lifted up hand my to cause to dwell you in it that except Caleb [the] son of Jephunneh and Joshua [the] son of Nun.

31 ‘சிறைபிடிக்கப்பட்டுப் போவார்களே’ என நீங்கள் சொன்ன உங்கள் பிள்ளைகளையோ, நீங்கள் புறக்கணித்த நாட்டின் பலனை அனுபவிப்பதற்கு அங்கு கொண்டுவருவேன்.

And little one[s] your who you said plunder he will become and I will bring them and they will know the land which you have rejected it.

32 ஆனால் உங்களுக்கோவென்றால், உங்கள் உடல்கள் இப்பாலைவனத்திலேயே விழும்.

And corpses your you they will fall in the wilderness this.

33 உங்கள் பிள்ளைகள் உங்கள் உண்மையற்ற தன்மையினால் உங்கள் கடைசி உடல் இப்பாலைவனத்தில் விழும் வரைக்கும், கஷ்டப்பட்டு, நாற்பது வருடங்களுக்கு இங்கு மேய்ப்பர்களாயிருப்பார்கள்.

And children your they will be shepherds in the wilderness forty year[s] and they will bear prostitution your until are finished corpses your in the wilderness.

34 நீங்கள் நாட்டை ஆராய்ந்த நாற்பது நாட்களிலும் உள்ள ஒவ்வொரு நாளுக்கும் ஒவ்வொரு வருடம் என்ற கணக்கின்படி, நாற்பது வருடங்களுக்கு உங்கள் பாவங்களுக்காக நீங்கள் கஷ்டப்பட்டு, என்னை எதிர்ப்பதால் வரும் விளைவு என்ன என்பதையும் அறிவீர்கள்.

By [the] number of the days which you spied out the land forty day[s] a day for the year a day for the year you will bear iniquities your forty year[s] and you will know opposition my.

35 யெகோவாவாகிய நானே சொல்லியிருக்கிறேன். எனக்கெதிராக ஒன்றுகூடிய இக்கொடுமையான மனிதர்கள் அனைவருக்குமே நான் நிச்சயமாக இக்காரியங்களைச் செய்வேன். அவர்கள் தங்கள் முடிவை இப்பாலைவனத்திலேயே சந்திப்பார்கள். இங்கேயே அவர்கள் சாவார்கள் என்றும் சொல்” என்றார்.

I Yahweh I have spoken if not - this I will do to all the congregation evil this which has gathered on me in the wilderness this they will meet their end and there they will die.

36 எனவே நாட்டை ஆராய்ந்து அறியும்படி மோசேயினால் அனுப்பப்பட்டுத் திரும்பிவந்து, அதைப்பற்றிப் பிழையான செய்தியைப் பரப்பி, அதனால் முழு மக்கள் சமுதாயத்தையும் அவனுக்கு எதிராக முறுமுறுக்கப் பண்ணினவர்களை இறைவன் அடித்தார்.

And the men whom he sent Moses to spy out the land and they returned (and they caused to grumble *Q(K)*) on him all the congregation by bringing out a bad report on the land.

37 அவ்விதமாய் அந்நாட்டைப் பற்றிய பிழையான செய்தியைப் பரப்பக் காரணமாய் இருந்த இந்த மனிதர்கள் யெகோவாவுக்கு முன்பாக ஒரு கொள்ளைநோயினால் வாதிக்கப்பட்டு இறந்தார்கள்.

And they died the men [who] brought out [the] unfavorable report of the land evil by plague before Yahweh.

38 நாட்டை ஆராய்ந்து அறியச்சென்ற மனிதர்களில் நூனின் மகன் யோசுவா, எப்புன்னேயின் மகன் காலேப் ஆகியோர் மட்டும் உயிர்த்தப்பியிருந்தனர்.

And Joshua [the] son of Nun and Caleb [the] son of Jephunneh they lived of the men those who went to spy out the land.

39 மோசே இதை எல்லா இஸ்ரயேலர்களுக்கும் அறிவித்தபோது, அவர்கள் மனங்கசந்து துக்கித்தார்கள்.

And he spoke Moses the words these to all [the] people of Israel and they mourned the people exceedingly.

40 அதன்பின் அவர்கள் அடுத்தநாள் அதிகாலமே எழுந்து உயரமான மலைநாட்டை நோக்கி ஏறிப்போனார்கள். “நாங்கள் பாவம்செய்தோம். நாங்கள் யெகோவா எங்களுக்குத் தருவதாக வாக்களித்த நாட்டுக்குப் போவோம்” என்றார்கள்.

And they rose early in the morning and they went up to [the] top of the hill country saying here [are] we and we will go up to the place which he said Yahweh that we have sinned.

41 ஆனால் மோசே அவர்களிடம், “நீங்கள் ஏன் யெகோவாவின் கட்டளையை மீறுகிறீர்கள்? இந்த முயற்சி பலனளிக்காது.

And he said Moses why? this [are] you transgressing [the] mouth of Yahweh and it not it will succeed.

42 நீங்கள் மேலே ஏறிப்போகவேண்டாம். ஏனெனில் யெகோவா உங்களுடன் இல்லை. நீங்கள் பகைவர்களால் தோற்கடிக்கப்படுவீர்கள்.

May not you go up for not Yahweh [will be] in midst your and not you will be defeated before enemies your.

43 அங்கே அமலேக்கியரும், கானானியரும் உங்களை எதிர்கொள்வார்கள். நீங்கள் யெகோவாவைவிட்டு விலகிச்சென்றதால், யெகோவா உங்களுடன் இருக்கமாட்டார். நீங்கள் வாளால் வெட்டுண்டு விழுவீர்கள்” என்றான்.

For the Amalekite[s] and the Canaanite[s] [are] there before you and you will fall by the sword for since you have turned back from after Yahweh and not he will be Yahweh with you.

44 ஆனாலும் அவர்கள் உயரமான அந்த மலைநாட்டிற்கு துணிச்சலோடு ஏறிப்போனார்கள். மோசேயோ, யெகோவாவின் உடன்படிக்கைப் பெட்டியோ முகாமைவிட்டு நகரவில்லை.

And they presumed to go up to [the] top of the hill country and [the] ark of [the] covenant of Yahweh and Moses not they departed from [the] midst of the camp.

45 அப்பொழுது மலைநாட்டில் வாழ்ந்த அமலேக்கியரும், கானானியரும் கீழே இறங்கிவந்து அவர்களைத் தாக்கி, ஓர்மாவரைக்கும் முறியடித்தார்கள்.

And he came down the Amalekite[s] and the Canaanite[s] who dwelt in the hill country that and they struck them and they scattered them to Hormah.
