மத்தேயு 7
1 “தீர்ப்புச் செய்யாதிருங்கள், நீங்களும் தீர்க்கப்படாதிருப்பீர்கள்.
Judge not, that ye be not judged; —
2 நீங்கள் மற்றவர்களுக்கு அளிக்கும் தீர்ப்பையே நீங்களும் பெறுவீர்கள். நீங்கள் எந்த அளவினால் அளக்கிறீர்களோ, அந்த அளவின்படியே உங்களுக்கும் அளக்கப்படும்.
For, with what judgment ye judge, shall ye be judged, —and, with what measure ye mete, shall it be measured unto you.
3 “நீ உனது கண்ணிலுள்ள உத்திரத்தைக் கவனிக்காமல், உனது சகோதரனின் கண்ணிலுள்ள துரும்பைப் பார்ப்பது ஏன்?
Why, moreover, beholdest thou the mote, in the eye of thy brother, —while, the beam in thine own eye, thou dost not consider?
4 உன் கண்ணில் உத்திரம் இருக்கையில், நீ உனது சகோதரனிடம், ‘நான் உனது கண்ணிலுள்ள துரும்பை எடுத்துப் போடுகிறேன்,’ என எப்படிச் சொல்லலாம்?
Or how wilt thou say unto thy brother, Let me cast the mote out of thine eye, —when lo! a beam, is in thine own eye?
5 வேஷக்காரனே, முதலில் உன் கண்ணிலுள்ள உத்திரத்தை எடுத்துப்போடு; அப்பொழுது உனது சகோதரனின் கண்ணிலுள்ள துரும்பை எடுத்துப் போடத்தக்கதாக நீ தெளிவாகப் பார்க்கக்கூடும்.
Hypocrite! cast first, out of thine own eye, the beam, —and, then, shalt thou see clearly to cast the mote, out of the eye of thy brother.
6 “பரிசுத்தமானதை நாய்களுக்குக் கொடுக்கவேண்டாம்; உங்கள் முத்துக்களைப் பன்றிகளுக்கு முன் வீச வேண்டாம். அப்படிச் செய்தால், அவை முத்துக்களை மிதித்துவிட்டு, திரும்பி உங்களையும் பீறிப்போடும்.
Do not give what is holy unto dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, —lest once they trample, them, down with their feet, and, turning, tear, you.
7 “கேளுங்கள் உங்களுக்குக் கொடுக்கப்படும்; தேடுங்கள் நீங்கள் கண்டடைவீர்கள்; தட்டுங்கள் அப்பொழுது கதவு உங்களுக்குத் திறக்கப்படும்.
Be asking, and it shall be given you, Be seeking, and ye shall find, —Be knocking, and it shall be opened unto you.
8 ஏனெனில், கேட்கிற ஒவ்வொருவரும் பெற்றுக்கொள்கிறார்கள்; தேடுகிறவர்கள் கண்டடைகிறார்கள்; தட்டுகிறவர்களுக்குக் கதவு திறக்கப்படுகிறது.
For, whosoever asketh, receiveth, and, he that seeketh, findeth, —and, to him that knocketh, shall it be opened.
9 “அப்பத்தைக் கேட்கும் தன் மகனுக்கு, உங்களில் யார் கல்லைக் கொடுப்பான்?
Or what man, from among yourselves, whom his son shall ask for a loaf, —a stone, will give him?
10 அல்லது மீனைக் கேட்கும் மகனுக்கு யார் பாம்பைக் கொடுப்பான்?
Or, a fish also, shall ask, —a serpent, will give him?
11 தீயவர்களாகிய நீங்களே உங்கள் பிள்ளைகளுக்கு நல்ல அன்பளிப்புகளைக் கொடுக்க அறிந்திருக்கிறீர்கள். அப்படியிருக்க, பரலோகத்திலிருக்கிற உங்கள் பிதா தம்மிடத்தில் கேட்பவர்களுக்கு, நல்ல அன்பளிப்புகளைக் கொடுப்பது அதிக நிச்சயம்!
If then, ye, being, evil, know how, good gifts, to be giving unto your children, how much more, will, your Father who is in the heavens, give good things to them that ask, him?
12 ஆகவே, மற்றவர்கள் உங்களுக்கு எவைகளைச் செய்யவேண்டுமென்று நீங்கள் விரும்புகிறீர்களோ, அதையே நீங்களும் மற்றவர்களுக்குச் செய்யுங்கள்; இதுவே மோசேயின் சட்டமும், இறைவாக்குகளும் ஆகும்.
Whatsoever things, therefore, ye would, that men be doing unto you, so, be, ye also, doing, unto them, —for, this, is the law and the prophets.
13 “இடுக்கமான வாசல் வழியாக உள்ளே செல்லுங்கள். ஏனெனில் அழிவுக்கு செல்லும் வாசல் அகலமானது, வழியும் விரிவானது. பலர் அதன் வழியாகவே உள்ளே செல்லுகிறார்கள்.
Enter ye in at, the narrow gate; because broad and roomy is the way that leadeth unto destruction, —and, many, are they who enter thereby:
14 ஆனால் இடுக்கமான வாசலும், குறுகலான வழியுமே வாழ்வுக்கு வழிநடத்துகின்றன. ஒரு சிலர் மட்டுமே அதைக் கண்டுபிடிக்கிறார்கள்.
Because, narrow, is the gate, and, confined, the way, that leadeth unto life, —and, few, are they who find, it.
15 “பொய் தீர்க்கதரிசிகளைக்குறித்து விழிப்பாயிருங்கள். அவர்கள் ஆட்டுத் தோலைப் போர்த்திக்கொண்டு உங்களிடம் வருவார்கள். ஆனால் உள்ளத்திலோ அவர்கள் கடித்துக் குதறுகிற ஓநாய்கள்.
Beware of false prophets, who come unto you in clothing of sheep, —while, within, they are ravening wolves.
16 அவர்களது கனியினால் நீங்கள் அவர்கள் யாரென்று அடையாளம் கண்டுகொள்வீர்கள். மக்கள் முட்புதர்களில் இருந்து திராட்சைப் பழங்களையும், முட்செடிகளிலிருந்து அத்திப்பழங்களையும் பறிக்கிறார்களா?
By their fruits, shall ye find, them, out, —unless perhaps men gather—from thorns, grapes! or, from thistles, figs!
17 இல்லையே, அதேபோல், ஒவ்வொரு நல்ல மரமும் நல்ல கனியைக் கொடுக்கும். கெட்ட மரமோ, கெட்ட கனியையே கொடுக்கும்.
So, every good tree, fine fruit, produceth, —whereas, the worthless tree, evil fruit, produceth:
18 நல்ல மரம் கெட்ட கனிகளைக் கொடுக்கமாட்டாது, கெட்ட மரமும் நல்ல கனிகளைக் கொடுப்பதில்லை.
It is, impossible, for a, good tree, to be bearing, evil fruit, neither doth, a worthless tree, produce, fine fruit.
19 நல்ல கனிகொடாத ஒவ்வொரு மரமும், வெட்டி வீழ்த்தப்பட்டு நெருப்பில் வீசப்படும்.
Every tree that beareth not fine fruit, is hewn down, and, into fire, is cast.
20 இவ்வாறு, அதனதன் கனியினால் மரங்களை அடையாளம் கண்டுகொள்வீர்கள்.
After all then, by their fruits, shall ye find, them, out.
21 “என்னை நோக்கி, ‘ஆண்டவரே, ஆண்டவரே’ என்று, சொல்லுகிற எல்லோரும், பரலோக அரசிற்குள் செல்வதில்லை. மாறாக பரலோகத்தில் இருக்கிற என் பிதாவின் சித்தத்தின்படி செய்கிறவர்கள் மட்டுமே அதின் உள்ளே செல்வார்கள்.
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord! Lord! shall enter into the kingdom of the heavens, —but he that doeth the will of my Father who is in the heavens.
22 அந்நாளில் அநேகர் என்னிடம், ‘ஆண்டவரே, ஆண்டவரே, நாங்கள் உமது பெயரில் இறைவாக்கு உரைக்கவில்லையா? உமது பெயரில் பிசாசுகளைத் துரத்தவில்லையா? உமது பெயரில் பல அற்புதங்களைச் செய்யவில்லையா?’ என்று சொல்வார்கள்.
Many, will say unto me, in, that, day, Lord! Lord! did we not, in thy name, prophesy, and, in thy name, cast, demons, out, —and, in thy name, many works of power, perform?
23 அப்பொழுது நான் அவர்களிடம், ‘அக்கிரம செய்கைக்காரர்களே! நான் ஒருபோதும் உங்களை அறியவில்லை, என்னைவிட்டு அகன்றுபோங்கள்’ என்று வெளிப்படையாகச் சொல்வேன்.
And, then, will I confess unto them, Never, have I acknowledged you, —Depart from me, ye workers of lawlessness!
24 “எனவே, நான் சொல்லும் இவ்வார்த்தைகளைக் கேட்டு, இவற்றின்படி செய்கிற ஒவ்வொருவனும், கற்பாறையின்மேல் தன் வீட்டைக் கட்டிய புத்தியுள்ளவனைப் போலிருப்பான்.
Every one, therefore, who heareth [these] my words, and doeth them, shall be likened to a prudent man, who built his house upon the rock;
25 மழை பெய்தது, வெள்ளம் மேலெழுந்தது, காற்று வீசி வீட்டைத் தாக்கியது; அப்படி இருந்தும், வீடு விழவில்லை. ஏனெனில் அதன் அஸ்திபாரம் கற்பாறையின்மேல் போடப்பட்டிருந்தது.
And the rain descended, and the streams came, and the winds blew, and rushed against that house, and it fell not; for it had been founded upon the rock.
26 ஆனால், எனது இவ்வார்த்தைகளைக் கேட்டும், அதன்படி செயல்படாத ஒவ்வொருவனும், மணலின்மேல் தன் வீட்டைக் கட்டிய புத்தியில்லாதவன் போலிருப்பான்.
And every one who heareth these my words, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, who built his house upon the sand;
27 மழை பெய்தது, வெள்ளம் மேலெழுந்தது, காற்று வீசி வீட்டைத் தாக்கியது, அந்த வீடோ பலத்த சேதத்துடன் இடிந்து விழுந்தது.”
And the rain descended, and the streams came, and the winds blew, and dashed against that house, and it fell; and, the fall thereof, was, great.
28 இவற்றை இயேசு சொல்லி முடித்தபோது, மக்கள் அவருடைய போதனையைக் கேட்டு வியப்படைந்தார்கள்.
And it came to pass, when Jesus ended these words, with astonishment were the multitudes being struck at his teaching;
29 ஏனெனில் அவர் மோசேயின் சட்ட ஆசிரியர்களைப்போல் போதிக்காமல், அதிகாரமுள்ளவராய் அவர்களுக்கு போதித்தார்.
for he was teaching them as one having, authority, and not as their Scribes.
