மத்தேயு 19
1 இயேசு இவற்றைச் சொல்லி முடித்தபின்பு, அவர் கலிலேயாவைவிட்டுப் புறப்பட்டு, யோர்தானின் மறுபக்கத்திலுள்ள யூதேயா பகுதிக்குச் சென்றார்.
And it came to pass, that when Jesus had finished these sayings, he departed from Galilee, and came into the region of Judaea beyond Jordan;
2 மக்கள் பெருங்கூட்டமாக அவரைப் பின்தொடர்ந்து சென்றார்கள். அங்கே அவர், அவர்களில் வியாதியுள்ளோரைக் குணப்படுத்தினார்.
And great multitudes followed him; and he healed them there.
3 சில பரிசேயர் இயேசுவைச் சோதிக்கும்படி, அவரிடத்தில் வந்து, “ஒருவன் தன் மனைவியை எந்தவொரு காரணத்திற்காகவும் விவாகரத்து செய்வது மோசேயின் சட்டத்திற்கு உகந்ததோ?” என்று கேட்டார்கள்.
The Pharisees also came to him, tempting him, and saying to him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause?
4 அதற்கு அவர், “தொடக்கத்திலே படைப்பில் இறைவன் அவர்களை ‘ஆணும் பெண்ணுமாகப் படைத்தார்’ என்பதை நீங்கள் வாசித்ததில்லையா”
And he answered and said to them, Have ye not read, that he who made them at the beginning made them male and female,
5 இந்தக் காரணத்தினால் ஒருவன் தன் தகப்பனையும் தாயையும் விட்டு, தனது மனைவியுடன் இணைந்திருப்பான்; இருவரும் ஒரே உடலாயிருப்பார்கள்.
And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they two shall be one flesh?
6 எனவே அவர்கள் இருவராய் இல்லாமல் ஒரே உடலாக இருக்கிறார்கள். ஆகையால் “இறைவன் ஒன்றாய் இணைத்தவர்களை மனிதன் பிரிக்காதிருக்கட்டும்” என்றார்.
Therefore they are no more two, but one flesh. Therefore what God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
7 அதற்கு அவர்கள், “அப்படியானால் ஒருவன் தனது மனைவிக்கு விவாகரத்துப் பத்திரத்தைக் கொடுத்து அவளை அனுப்பிவிடலாம் என்று மோசே கட்டளையிட்டிருப்பது ஏன்?” என்று கேட்டார்கள்.
They say to him, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away?
8 இயேசு அதற்குப் பதிலாக, “உங்கள் இருதயம் கடினமாய் இருந்ததாலேயே, உங்கள் மனைவியை விவாகரத்து செய்வதற்கு மோசே அனுமதித்தார். ஆனால் இது தொடக்கத்திலிருந்து அப்படியிருக்கவில்லை.
He saith to them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts permitted you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so.
9 நான் உங்களுக்குச் சொல்கிறேன், தன் மனைவி விபசாரம் செய்ததினாலன்றி, வேறெந்த காரணத்திற்காகவும் ஒருவன் அவளை விவாகரத்து செய்துவிட்டு, அதற்குப் பின்பு வேறு ஒருத்தியைத் திருமணம் செய்தால், அவனும் விபசாரம் செய்கிறான்” என்றார்.
And I say to you, Whoever shall put away his wife, except for immorality, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoever marrieth her who is put away committeth adultery.
10 சீடர்கள் அவரிடம், “கணவனுக்கும் மனைவிக்கும் இருக்கும் உறவுநிலை இப்படியானால், திருமணம் செய்யாமல் இருப்பதே நல்லது” என்றார்கள்.
His disciples say to him, If the case of the man is so with his wife, it is not good to marry.
11 இயேசு அதற்குப் பதிலாக, “இந்த வார்த்தையை எல்லோராலும் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ள முடியாது. இதற்கான வரம் பெற்றவர்கள் மட்டுமே இதை ஏற்றுக்கொள்வார்கள்.
But he said to them, All men cannot receive this saying, except they to whom it is given.
12 சிலர் பிறவியிலேயே திருமண உறவுகொள்ள இயலாதவர்களாக இருக்கிறார்கள்; சிலர் மனிதரால் அந்நிலைக்கு ஆளாக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறார்கள்; சிலர் பரலோக அரசுக்காகத் திருமணத்தைக் கைவிட்டுத் தங்களைத் தாங்களே அப்படி ஆக்கிக் கொண்டிருக்கிறார்கள். இதை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளக் கூடியவன் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளட்டும்” என்றார்.
For there are some eunuchs, who were so born from their mother’s womb: and there are some eunuchs, who were made eunuchs by men: and there are eunuchs, who have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven’s sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.
13 அதற்குப் பின்பு சிறுபிள்ளைகளின்மேல் இயேசு கைகளை வைத்து ஜெபிக்க வேண்டும் என்று, அவர்கள் சிறுபிள்ளைகளை அவரிடம் கொண்டுவந்தார்கள். ஆனால் சீடர்களோ, அவர்களைக் கொண்டுவந்தவர்களைக் கண்டித்தார்கள்.
Then were brought to him little children, that he should put his hands on them, and pray: and the disciples rebuked them.
14 இயேசு அவர்களிடம், “சிறுபிள்ளைகளை என்னிடம் வரவிடுங்கள். அவர்களைத் தடுக்கவேண்டாம். ஏனெனில் பரலோக அரசு இப்படிப்பட்டவர்களுக்கே உரியது” என்றார்.
But Jesus said, Permit the little children, and forbid them not, to come to me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.
15 அவர் பிள்ளைகள்மேல் தமது கைகளை வைத்து ஆசீர்வதித்த பின்பு, அந்த இடத்தைவிட்டுச் சென்றார்.
And he laid his hands on them, and departed from there.
16 அப்பொழுது ஒருவன் இயேசுவிடம் வந்து, “போதகரே, நித்திய வாழ்வைப் பெறுவதற்கு நான் செய்யவேண்டிய நல்ல செயல் என்ன?” எனக் கேட்டான். (aiōnios g166)
And, behold, one came and said to him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? (aiōnios g166)
17 “நல்லது என்ன என்பதைப்பற்றி நீ ஏன் என்னிடம் கேட்கிறாய்? நல்லவர் ஒருவரே இருக்கிறார். நீ வாழ்விற்குள் செல்லவேண்டுமானால் கட்டளைகளுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படி” என்றார்.
And he said to him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.
18 “எந்தக் கட்டளைகள்?” என அவன் விசாரித்தான். இயேசு அதற்குப் பதிலாக, “கொலை செய்யாதே, விபசாரம் செய்யாதே, களவு செய்யாதே, பொய்சாட்சி சொல்லாதே,
He saith to him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness,
19 உன் தகப்பனையும் தாயையும் மதித்து நட, உன்னில் அன்பாய் இருப்பதுபோல், உன் அயலானிடம் அன்பாய் இரு என்பவைகளே” என்றார்.
Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
20 அதற்கு அந்த வாலிபன், “இவற்றையெல்லாம் செய்துகொண்டு இருக்கிறேன், இன்னும் எனக்கு என்ன குறைபாடு?” என்றான்.
The young man saith to him, All these things have I kept from my youth: what lack I yet?
21 இயேசு அதற்கு பதிலாக, “நீ குறைபாடற்றவனாய் இருக்க விரும்பினால், போய் உனது உடைமைகளை விற்று ஏழைகளுக்குக் கொடு. அப்பொழுது, பரலோகத்தில் உனக்கு செல்வம் இருக்கும். பின்பு வந்து என்னைப் பின்பற்று” என்றார்.
Jesus said to him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell what thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.
22 இதை அந்த வாலிபன் கேட்டபோது, துக்கத்துடன் திரும்பிப்போனான். ஏனெனில் அவன் பெரிய செல்வந்தனாய் இருந்தான்.
But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.
23 அப்பொழுது இயேசு தமது சீடர்களிடம், “நான் உண்மையாகவே உங்களுக்குச் சொல்கிறேன், ஒரு செல்வந்தன் பரலோக அரசிற்குள் செல்வது மிகக் கடினமானது.
Then said Jesus to his disciples, Verily I say to you, That it is hard for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of heaven.
24 மறுபடியும் நான் உங்களுக்குச் சொல்கிறேன், ஒரு செல்வந்தன் இறைவனின் அரசிற்குள் செல்வதைப் பார்க்கிலும், ஒரு ஒட்டகம் ஊசியின் காதிற்குள் நுழைவது சுலபமாக இருக்கும்” என்றார்.
And again I say to you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
25 இதைச் சீடர்கள் கேட்டபோது, மிகவும் வியப்புற்று, “அப்படியானால் யார்தான் இரட்சிக்கப்பட முடியும்?” எனக் கேட்டார்கள்.
When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved?
26 இயேசு அவர்களை நோக்கிப்பார்த்து, “மனிதனால் இது முடியாது. ஆனால் இறைவனால் எல்லாவற்றையும் செய்யமுடியும்” என்றார்.
But Jesus beheld them, and said to them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
27 பேதுரு அவரிடம் மறுமொழியாக, “உம்மைப் பின்பற்றுவதற்காக நாங்கள் எல்லாவற்றையும் விட்டுவிட்டோமே! அப்படியானால், எங்களுக்கு என்ன கிடைக்கும்?” என்றான்.
Then answered Peter and said to him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore?
28 இயேசு அவர்களிடம், “நான் உங்களுக்கு உண்மையைச் சொல்கிறேன், எல்லாக் காரியங்களும் புதுப்பிக்கப்படும் நாளில், மானிடமகனாகிய நான் எனது மகிமையின் அரியணையில் உட்கார்ந்திருப்பேன். என்னைப் பின்பற்றிய நீங்களும் பன்னிரண்டு அரியணைகளில் உட்கார்ந்து, இஸ்ரயேலின் பன்னிரண்டு கோத்திரங்களையும் நியாயந்தீர்ப்பீர்கள்.
And Jesus said to them, Verily I say to you, That ye who have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit on the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
29 என் நிமித்தம் வீடுகளையோ, சகோதரர்களையோ சகோதரிகளையோ, தகப்பனையோ, தாயையோ, மனைவியையோ பிள்ளைகளையோ, வயல்களையோ விட்டுவந்த ஒவ்வொருவனும், அதற்கு நூறுமடங்காகப் பெறுவான்; நித்திய வாழ்வையும் உரிமையாக்கிக்கொள்வான். (aiōnios g166)
And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life. (aiōnios g166)
30 ஆனால் முதலாவதாய் இருக்கும் அநேகர் கடைசியாகவும், கடைசியாய் இருக்கும் அநேகர் முதலாவதாய் இருப்பார்கள்” என்றார்.
But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first.
