மத்தேயு 15
1 பின்பு பரிசேயரும், மோசேயின் சட்ட ஆசிரியர்களும் எருசலேமிலிருந்து இயேசுவிடம் வந்து,
Then Pharisees and scribes came to Yeshua from Jerusalem, saying,
2 “உமது சீடர்கள் ஏன் முன்னோரின் பாரம்பரிய முறையை மீறுகிறார்கள்? அவர்கள் தாங்கள் சாப்பிடுவதற்கு முன்பு தங்கள் கைகளைக் கழுவுவதில்லையே!” என்று கேட்டார்கள்.
“Why do your disciples disobey the tradition of the elders? For they don’t wash their hands when they eat bread.”
3 அதற்கு இயேசு அவர்களிடம், “உங்களுடைய பாரம்பரிய முறைகளின் நிமித்தம், நீங்கள் ஏன் இறைவனின் கட்டளைகளை மீறுகிறீர்கள்?
He answered them, “Why do you also disobey the commandment of God because of your tradition?
4 ஏனெனில், ‘உனது தகப்பனையும், தாயையும் கனம்பண்ணுவாயாக’ என்றும், ‘தனது தகப்பனையோ, தாயையோ சபித்தால், அவன் கொல்லப்படவேண்டும்’ என்றும், இறைவன் சொன்னாரே.
For God commanded, ‘Honor your father and your mother,’ and, ‘He who speaks evil of father or mother, let him be put to death.’
5 ஆனால் நீங்களோ, ஒருவன் தன் தாய் தகப்பனைப் பார்த்து, ‘என்னிடமிருந்து நீங்கள் பெற்றுக்கொள்ளக்கூடிய உதவியை காணிக்கையாக இறைவனுக்கு அர்ப்பணித்துவிட்டேன்’ என்று அவன் சொன்னால்,
But you say, ‘Whoever may tell his father or his mother, “Whatever help you might otherwise have gotten from me is a gift devoted to God,”
6 அவன் தன் தாயையோ தகப்பனையோ கனம்பண்ணவேண்டிய அவசியமில்லை என்று சொல்கிறீர்கள். நீங்கள் உங்கள் பாரம்பரியத்தின் நிமித்தம், இறைவனின் வார்த்தைகளை பயனற்றதாக்குகிறீர்கள்.
he shall not honor his father or mother.’ You have made the commandment of God void because of your tradition.
7 வேஷக்காரர்களே! உங்களைக்குறித்து சரியாகவே இறைவாக்கினன் ஏசாயா இறைவாக்குரைத்தான்:
You hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy of you, saying,
8 “‘இந்த மக்கள் தங்கள் உதடுகளினால் என்னைக் கனம்பண்ணுகிறார்கள்; ஆனால் அவர்கள் இருதயமோ என்னைவிட்டுத் தூரமாயிருக்கிறது.
‘These people draw near to me with their mouth, and honor me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.
9 அவர்கள் வீணாகவே என்னை ஆராதிக்கிறார்கள்; அவர்களுடைய போதனைகளோ, மனிதர்களின் ஒழுங்குவிதிகளே’” என்றார்.
And they worship me in vain, teaching as doctrine rules made by men.’”
10 பின்பு இயேசு மக்கள் கூட்டத்தைத் தன்னிடம் அழைத்து சொன்னதாவது: “கேட்டு விளங்கிக்கொள்ளுங்கள்.
He summoned the multitude, and said to them, “Hear, and understand.
11 மனிதனுடைய வாய்க்குள் போவது அவனை அசுத்தப்படுத்தாது. ஆனால் அவனுடைய வாயிலிருந்து வெளியே வருவது எதுவோ, அதுவே அவனை அசுத்தப்படுத்தும்” என்றார்.
That which enters into the mouth doesn’t defile the man; but that which proceeds out of the mouth, this defiles the man.”
12 அப்பொழுது சீடர்கள் இயேசுவிடம் வந்து, “இவற்றைப் பரிசேயர்கள் கேட்டு, கோபித்துக்கொண்டார்கள் என்பது உமக்குத் தெரியுமா?” என்றார்கள்.
Then the disciples came and said to him, “Do you know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this saying?”
13 அதற்கு இயேசு, “எனது பரலோக பிதா நடாத எல்லாச் செடிகளும் வேரோடே பிடுங்கிப்போடப்படும்.
But he answered, “Every plant which my heavenly Father didn’t plant will be uprooted.
14 அவர்களை விட்டுவிடுங்கள்; அவர்கள் குருட்டு வழிகாட்டிகள். குருடன் குருடனுக்கு வழிகாட்டினால், இருவரும் குழியிலே விழுவார்களே” எனப் பதிலளித்தார்.
Leave them alone. They are blind guides of the blind. If the blind guide the blind, both will fall into a pit.”
15 அப்பொழுது பேதுரு, “இந்த உவமையை எங்களுக்கு விளக்கமாகச் சொல்லும்” என்றான்.
Peter answered him, “Explain the parable to us.”
16 அதற்கு இயேசு, “நீங்கள் இன்னும் புரிந்துகொள்ளாதவர்களாய் இருக்கிறீர்களா?” என்று அவர்களிடம் கேட்டார்.
So Yeshua said, “Do you also still not understand?
17 “வாய்க்குள் போவதெல்லாம் வயிற்றுக்குள் போய் உடலைவிட்டு வெளியேறுகிறது என்று தெரியாதா?
Don’t you understand that whatever goes into the mouth passes into the belly and then out of the body?
18 ஆனால் வாயிலிருந்து வெளியே வருகிறவைகள் இருதயத்திலிருந்து வந்து மனிதரை அசுத்தப்படுத்தும்.
But the things which proceed out of the mouth come out of the heart, and they defile the man.
19 ஏனெனில் இருதயத்திலிருந்தே தீய சிந்தனைகள், கொலை, விபசாரம், முறைகேடான பாலுறவு, களவு, பொய்ச்சாட்சி, அவதூறு ஆகியவை வெளிவருகின்றன.
For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, sexual sins, thefts, false testimony, and blasphemies.
20 இவையே மனிதனை அசுத்தப்படுத்தும்; கை கழுவாமல் சாப்பிடுவது மனிதரை அசுத்தப்படுத்தாது” என்றார்.
These are the things which defile the man; but to eat with unwashed hands doesn’t defile the man.”
21 இயேசு அவ்விடம் விட்டு தீரு, சீதோன் பகுதிக்குச் சென்றார்.
Yeshua went out from there and withdrew into the region of Tyre and Sidon.
22 அப்பகுதியிலிருந்த ஒரு கானானியப் பெண் அவரிடத்தில் வந்து, “ஆண்டவரே, தாவீதின் மகனே, என்மேல் இரக்கமாயிரும்! எனது மகளுக்குப் பிசாசு பிடித்திருப்பதினால் மிகவும் வேதனைப்படுகிறாள்” என்று கதறினாள்.
Behold, a Canaanite woman came out from those borders and cried, saying, “Have mercy on me, Lord, you son of David! My daughter is severely possessed by a demon!”
23 ஆனால் இயேசு அதற்குப் பதிலாக ஒரு வார்த்தையும் சொல்லவில்லை. எனவே அவரது சீடர்கள் அவரிடம் வந்து, “இவளை அனுப்பிவிடும் இவள் நமக்குப் பின்னால் கதறிக் கொண்டே வருகிறாளே!” என வேண்டிக்கொண்டார்கள்.
But he answered her not a word. His disciples came and begged him, saying, “Send her away; for she cries after us.”
24 அப்பொழுது இயேசு, “நான் இஸ்ரயேலில் வழிதவறிப்போன ஆடுகளுக்காக மட்டுமே அனுப்பப்பட்டேன்” என்று சொன்னார்.
But he answered, “I wasn’t sent to anyone but the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”
25 அந்தப் பெண் வந்து, இயேசுவின்முன் முழங்காற்படியிட்டு, “ஆண்டவரே எனக்கு உதவிசெய்யும்!” என்றாள்.
But she came and worshiped him, saying, “Lord, help me.”
26 இயேசு அவளைப் பார்த்து, “பிள்ளைகளின் அப்பத்தை எடுத்து நாய்க்குட்டிகளுக்குப் போடுவது சரியல்ல” என்றார்.
But he answered, “It is not appropriate to take the children’s bread and throw it to the dogs.”
27 அதற்கு அவள், “ஆம் ஆண்டவரே, ஆனால் நாய்க்குட்டிகள் எஜமானின் மேஜையில் இருந்து விழும் அப்பத்துண்டுகளைத் தின்னுமே” என்றாள்.
But she said, “Yes, Lord, but even the dogs eat the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.”
28 அப்பொழுது இயேசு, “பெண்ணே, உன் விசுவாசம் பெரியது! நீ வேண்டியது கொடுக்கப்பட்டது” என்றார். அந்நேரமே, அவளுடைய மகள் சுகமடைந்தாள்.
Then Yeshua answered her, “Woman, great is your faith! Be it done to you even as you desire.” And her daughter was healed from that hour.
29 இயேசு அவ்விடம் விட்டு, கலிலேயா கடலருகே வந்தார். அங்கே அவர் ஒரு மலைப்பகுதிக்கு ஏறிச்சென்று உட்கார்ந்தார்.
Yeshua departed from there and came near to the sea of Galilee; and he went up on the mountain and sat there.
30 மக்கள் பெருங்கூட்டமாய் அவரிடத்தில் வந்தார்கள். அவர்கள் முடவரையும், பார்வையற்றோரையும், அங்கவீனரையும், ஊமையரையும், அவர்களுடன் மற்ற அநேக நோயாளிகளையும் கொண்டுவந்து அவருடைய பாதத்தில் கிடத்தினார்கள்; இயேசு அவர்களை குணமாக்கினார்.
Great multitudes came to him, having with them the lame, blind, mute, maimed, and many others, and they put them down at his feet. He healed them,
31 ஊமையர் பேசுவதையும், அங்கவீனர் சுகமடைவதையும், முடவர் நடப்பதையும், பார்வையற்றோர் பார்ப்பதையும் மக்கள் கண்டு வியப்படைந்தார்கள். அவர்கள் இஸ்ரயேலின் இறைவனைத் துதித்தார்கள்.
so that the multitude wondered when they saw the mute speaking, the injured healed, the lame walking, and the blind seeing—and they glorified the God of Israel.
32 இயேசு தமது சீடரைத் தம்மிடமாய்க் கூப்பிட்டு, “நான் இந்த மக்களுக்காக இரக்கப்படுகிறேன்; இவர்கள் என்னுடன் ஏற்கெனவே மூன்று நாட்கள் தங்கிவிட்டார்கள். சாப்பிடுவதற்கோ, அவர்களிடம் ஒன்றுமில்லை. நான் இவர்களைப் பசியோடு அனுப்ப விரும்பவில்லை, அனுப்பினால் இவர்கள் வழியில் சோர்ந்து விழுவார்களே” என்றார்.
Yeshua summoned his disciples and said, “I have compassion on the multitude, because they have continued with me now three days and have nothing to eat. I don’t want to send them away fasting, or they might faint on the way.”
33 அவரது சீடர்கள் அவரிடம், “இவ்வளவு பெரிய கூட்டத்திற்குக் கொடுக்கத் தேவையான உணவை சற்று தூரமான இந்த இடத்திலே எங்கிருந்து பெறமுடியும்?” என்று கேட்டார்கள்.
The disciples said to him, “Where could we get so many loaves in a deserted place as to satisfy so great a multitude?”
34 “உங்களிடம் எத்தனை அப்பங்கள் இருக்கின்றன?” என்று இயேசு கேட்டார். “ஏழு அப்பங்களும், சில சிறு மீன்களும் இருக்கின்றன” என்று பதிலளித்தார்கள்.
Yeshua said to them, “How many loaves do you have?” They said, “Seven, and a few small fish.”
35 இயேசு மக்கள் கூட்டத்தைத் தரையில் உட்காரும்படி சொன்னார்.
He commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground;
36 பின்பு அவர் ஏழு அப்பங்களையும், மீன்களையும் எடுத்து இறைவனுக்கு நன்றி செலுத்தியபின், அவற்றைப் பிட்டு சீடர்களிடம் கொடுத்தார். அதை அவர்கள் மக்களுக்குக் கொடுத்தார்கள்.
and he took the seven loaves and the fish. He gave thanks and broke them, and gave to the disciples, and the disciples to the multitudes.
37 அவர்கள் எல்லோரும் சாப்பிட்டுத் திருப்தியடைந்தார்கள். அதற்குப் பின்பு மீதியான அப்பத் துண்டுகளைச் சீடர்கள் ஏழு கூடைகள் நிறைய சேர்த்து எடுத்தார்கள்.
They all ate and were filled. They took up seven baskets full of the broken pieces that were left over.
38 சாப்பிட்ட ஆண்களின் எண்ணிக்கை நாலாயிரமாயிருந்தது. அவர்களைத்தவிர பெண்களும், பிள்ளைகளுங்கூட இருந்தார்கள்.
Those who ate were four thousand men, in addition to women and children.
39 இயேசு மக்கள் கூட்டத்தை அனுப்பிவிட்டபின், படகில் ஏறி மகதான் நாட்டின் எல்லைகளுக்கு வந்தார்.
Then he sent away the multitudes, got into the boat, and came into the borders of Magdala.
