மத்தேயு 10
1 இயேசு தமது பன்னிரண்டு சீடர்களையும் தம்மிடம் வரவழைத்து, அசுத்த ஆவிகளை விரட்டவும், எல்லா விதமான நோய்களையும், வியாதிகளையும் குணமாக்கவும் அவர்களுக்கு அதிகாரத்தைக் கொடுத்தார்.
He called to himself his twelve disciples, and gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every disease and every sickness.
2 இவை அந்தப் பன்னிரண்டு அப்போஸ்தலர்களின் பெயர்கள்: முதலாவது, பேதுரு என அழைக்கப்பட்ட சீமோன், அவனுடைய சகோதரன் அந்திரேயா; செபெதேயுவின் மகன் யாக்கோபு, அவனுடைய சகோதரன் யோவான்;
Now the names of the twelve apostles are these. The first, Simon, who is called Peter; Andrew, his brother; James the son of Zebedee; John, his brother;
3 பிலிப்பு, பர்தொலொமேயு; தோமா, வரி வசூலிப்பவனான மத்தேயு, அல்பேயுவின் மகன் யாக்கோபு, ததேயு,
Philip; Bartholomew; Thomas; Matthew the tax collector; James the son of Alphaeus; Lebbaeus, who was also called Thaddaeus;
4 கானானியனாகிய சீமோன், இயேசுவைக் காட்டிக்கொடுத்த யூதாஸ்காரியோத்து ஆகியோரே.
Simon the Zealot; and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him.
5 இயேசு இந்தப் பன்னிரண்டு பேருக்கும் இவ்வழிமுறைகளைச் சொல்லி அனுப்பினார்: “நீங்கள் யூதரல்லாதவர்களிடம் போகவேண்டாம், சமாரியர்களின் எந்த பட்டணத்திற்குள்ளும் செல்லவேண்டாம்.
Jesus sent these twelve out and commanded them, saying, “Do not go among the Gentiles, and do not enter into any city of the Samaritans.
6 இஸ்ரயேலின் வழிதவறிப்போன ஆடுகளிடத்திற்கே போங்கள்.
Rather, go to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
7 நீங்கள் போகும்போது, ‘பரலோக அரசு சமீபித்து வருகிறது’ என்ற செய்தியைப் பிரசங்கியுங்கள்.
As you go, preach, saying, ‘The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!’
8 நோயுற்றோரை குணமாக்குங்கள், இறந்தவர்களை எழுப்புங்கள், குஷ்டவியாதி உள்ளோரைச் சுத்தப்படுத்துங்கள், பிசாசுகளை விரட்டுங்கள். இலவசமாக நீங்கள் பெற்றீர்கள், இலவசமாகவே கொடுங்கள்.
Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, and cast out demons. Freely you received, so freely give.
9 “நீங்கள் போகும்போது, எவ்வித தங்கம், வெள்ளி, செப்புக் காசுகளை உங்கள் மடிப்பையில் கொண்டுபோக வேண்டாம்;
Do not take any gold, silver, or brass in your money belts.
10 பயணத்திற்கென்று பையையோ, மாற்று உடையையோ, பாதரட்சைகளையோ, ஊன்றுகோலையோ கொண்டுபோக வேண்டாம்; ஏனெனில் வேலையாள் தன் உணவுக்குப் பாத்திரவானாயிருக்கிறான்.
Take no bag for your journey, neither two coats, nor sandals, nor staff: for the laborer is worthy of his food.
11 நீங்கள் எந்தப் பட்டணத்திற்கோ கிராமத்திற்கோ சென்றாலும் அங்கே தகுதியுள்ள ஒருவனைத் தேடி, நீங்கள் அவ்விடத்தைவிட்டுப் புறப்படும்வரை அவனுடைய வீட்டிலேயே தங்கியிருங்கள்.
Into whatever city or village you enter, find out who in it is worthy, and stay there until you go on.
12 அந்த வீட்டிற்குள் செல்லும்போது, உங்கள் வாழ்த்துக்களை அறிவியுங்கள்.
As you enter into the household, greet it.
13 அந்த வீடு தகுதியுள்ளதாக இருந்தால், உங்கள் சமாதானம் அவ்வீட்டில் தங்கட்டும்; இல்லையானால், உங்கள் சமாதானம் உங்களிடம் திரும்பிவரும்.
If the household is worthy, let your peace come on it, but if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you.
14 யாராவது உங்களை வரவேற்காமலோ, உங்கள் வார்த்தைக்குச் செவிகொடுக்காமலோ இருந்தால், நீங்கள் அந்த வீட்டையோ, பட்டணத்தையோ விட்டுப் புறப்படும்போது, உங்கள் கால்களிலுள்ள தூசியை உதறிவிடுங்கள்.
Whoever does not receive you or hear your words, as you go out of that house or that city, shake the dust off your feet.
15 நான் உங்களுக்கு உண்மையைச் சொல்கிறேன், நியாயத்தீர்ப்பு நாளில் அந்தப் பட்டணத்திற்கு நடக்கப்போவது, சோதோம், கொமோரா பட்டணங்களுக்கு நடக்கப்போவதைப் பார்க்கிலும் கடினமானதாயிருக்கும்.
Most certainly I tell you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city.
16 “ஆடுகளை ஓநாய்களுக்குள்ளே அனுப்புகிறதுபோல நான் உங்களை அனுப்புகிறேன். ஆகையால் பாம்புகளைப்போல புத்திக்கூர்மை உள்ளவர்களாயும், புறாக்களைப்போல் கபடற்றவர்களாயும் இருங்கள்.
“Behold, I send you out as sheep among wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.
17 மனிதரைக் குறித்து விழிப்பாயிருங்கள்; அவர்கள் உங்களைத் தங்கள் நீதிமன்றங்களில் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்து, தங்களுடைய ஜெப ஆலயங்களில் உங்களைச் சவுக்கால் அடிப்பார்கள்.
But beware of men, for they will deliver you up to councils, and in their synagogues they will scourge you.
18 என் நிமித்தமாக ஆளுநர்களுக்கும், அரசர்களுக்கும் முன்பாக நீங்கள் கொண்டுபோகப்படுவீர்கள். அவர்களுக்கும், யூதரல்லாதவர்களுக்கும் முன்னால், நீங்கள் எனக்கு சாட்சிகளாய் இருப்பீர்கள்.
Yes, and you will be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony to them and to the nations.
19 அவர்கள் உங்களைக் கைது செய்யும்போது, என்ன சொல்வது, எப்படிச் சொல்வது எனக் கவலைப்படாதிருங்கள். அந்த நேரத்தில், என்ன சொல்லவேண்டும் என்பது உங்களுக்குக் கொடுக்கப்படும்.
But when they deliver you up, do not be anxious how or what you will say, for it will be given you in that hour what you will say.
20 ஏனெனில் பேசுவது நீங்களாய் இருக்கமாட்டீர்கள். உங்கள் பிதாவின் ஆவியானவரே உங்கள் மூலமாகப் பேசுவார்.
For it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you.
21 “சகோதரன் தன் சகோதரனைக் கொல்லும்படி காட்டிக்கொடுப்பான். தகப்பன் தனது பிள்ளையைக் கொல்லும்படி காட்டிக்கொடுப்பான். பிள்ளைகள் அவர்கள் பெற்றோருக்கு எதிராக எழும்பி, அவர்களை கொலைசெய்வார்கள்.
“Brother will deliver up brother to death, and the father his child. Children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put to death.
22 என் நிமித்தமாக எல்லோரும் உங்களை வெறுப்பார்கள். ஆனால் முடிவுவரை பொறுமையாய் இருப்பவனே இரட்சிக்கப்படுவான்.
You will be hated by all men for my name’s sake, but he who endures to the end will be saved.
23 நீங்கள் ஒரு இடத்தில் துன்புறுத்தப்படுகையில், மற்றொரு இடத்திற்குத் தப்பியோடுங்கள். ஆனால் நான் உங்களுக்கு உண்மையைச் சொல்கிறேன், மானிடமகனாகிய நான் வருவதற்கு முன்னால், நீங்கள் இஸ்ரயேலின் பட்டணங்கள் முழுவதையும் சுற்றி முடிக்கமாட்டீர்கள், என்று உண்மையாகவே உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன்.
But when they persecute you in this city, flee into the next, for most certainly I tell you, you will not have gone through the cities of Israel until the Son of Man has come.
24 “ஒரு மாணவன் ஆசிரியரைவிட மேலானவன் அல்ல. ஒரு வேலைக்காரன் தன் எஜமானைவிட மேலானவன் அல்ல.
“A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his lord.
25 ஒரு மாணவன் தனது ஆசிரியரைப் போலவும், வேலைக்காரன் தனது எஜமானைப் போலவும் இருந்தால், அதுவே போதுமானது. ஒரு வீட்டின் தலைவன் பெயல்செபூல் என அழைக்கப்பட்டால், அவன் குடும்பத்தார் அதைவிட எவ்வளவு அதிகமாக அழைக்கப்படுவார்கள்!
It is enough for the disciple that he be like his teacher, and the servant like his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebul, how much more those of his household!
26 “எனவே, அவ்வாறு பயமுறுத்துகிறவர்களுக்குப் பயப்படவேண்டாம். மறைத்தது எதுவும் வெளியாக்கப்படாமல் போவதில்லை, ஒளித்து வைக்கப்படுவது எதுவும் வெளியே தெரியவராமல் போவதுமில்லை.
Therefore do not be afraid of them, for there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known.
27 நான் உங்களுக்கு இருளிலே சொன்னவற்றை, பகல் வெளிச்சத்தில் சொல்லுங்கள்; உங்கள் காதில் மெதுவாய் சொன்னதை, வீட்டின் கூரையின் மேலிருந்து அறிவியுங்கள்.
What I tell you in the darkness, speak in the light; and what you hear whispered in the ear, proclaim on the housetops.
28 உடலைக் கொல்லுகிறவர்களுக்கு பயப்படவேண்டாம். அவர்களால் ஆத்துமாவைக் கொல்ல முடியாதே. உடலையும், ஆத்துமாவையும் நரகத்தில் அழிக்க வல்லமையுள்ள இறைவனுக்கு மட்டுமே பயப்படுங்கள். (Geenna g1067)
Do not be afraid of those who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul. Rather, fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in Gehenna (Geenna g1067).
29 இரண்டு சிட்டுக் குருவிகள் ஒரு காசுக்கு விற்கப்படுவதில்லையா? ஆனால் அவற்றில் ஒன்றேனும் உங்கள் பிதாவின் அனுமதி இல்லாமல் நிலத்திலே விழுவதில்லை.
“Are not two sparrows sold for an assarion coin? Not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will.
30 உங்கள் தலைமுடியெல்லாம் எண்ணப்பட்டிருக்கின்றன.
But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
31 எனவே பயப்படவேண்டாம்; நீங்கள் அநேக சிட்டுக் குருவிகளைப் பார்க்கிலும் அதிக மதிப்புடையவர்கள்.
Therefore do not be afraid. You are of more value than many sparrows.
32 “மனிதருக்கு முன்பாக என்னை யார் ஏற்றுக்கொள்கிறார்களோ, பரலோகத்தில் இருக்கிற என் பிதாவின் முன்பாக நானும் அவர்களை ஏற்றுக்கொள்வேன்.
Everyone therefore who confesses me before men, I will also confess him before my Father who is in heaven.
33 மனிதருக்கு முன்பாக யார் என்னை மறுதலிக்கிறார்களோ, பரலோகத்திலிருக்கிற என் பிதாவின் முன்பாக நானும் அவர்களை மறுதலிப்பேன்.
But whoever denies me before men, I will also deny him before my Father who is in heaven.
34 “பூமியில் சமாதானத்தைக் கொண்டுவருவதற்காக நான் வந்தேன் என நீங்கள் நினைக்கவேண்டாம். நான் சமாதானத்தை அல்ல, ஒரு போர்வாளைக் கொண்டுவருவதற்காகவே வந்தேன்.
“Do not think that I came to send peace on the earth. I did not come to send peace, but a sword.
35 “எப்படியெனில், ‘மகனுக்கும் தகப்பனுக்கும், மகளுக்கும் தாய்க்கும், மருமகளுக்கும் மாமியாருக்கும் பிரிவினையுண்டாக்க வந்தேன்;
For I came to set a man at odds against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.
36 ஒருவருடைய எதிரிகள் அவரது வீட்டாரே ஆவர்.’
A man’s foes will be those of his own household.
37 “தம் தகப்பனையோ, தாயையோ என்னைவிட அதிகமாக நேசிக்கிறவர் எனக்குத் தகுதியுடையவர் அல்ல; தம் மகனையோ மகளையோ, என்னைவிட அதிகமாக நேசிக்கிறவர் எனக்குத் தகுதியுடையவர் அல்ல;
He who loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; and he who loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
38 தம் சிலுவையை எடுத்துக்கொண்டு என்னைப் பின்பற்றாதவர் எனக்குத் தகுதியுடையவர் அல்ல.
He who does not take his cross and follow after me is not worthy of me.
39 தம் வாழ்வைக் காக்கிறவர்கள், அதை இழந்துபோவார்கள். தம் வாழ்வை எனக்காக இழக்கிறவர்கள் அதைக் காத்துக்கொள்வார்கள்.
He who seeks his life will lose it; and he who loses his life for my sake will find it.
40 “உங்களை ஏற்றுக்கொள்கிறவர்கள் என்னையும் ஏற்றுக்கொள்கிறார்கள். என்னை ஏற்றுக்கொள்கிறவர்கள் என்னை அனுப்பியவரையும் ஏற்றுக்கொள்கிறார்கள்.
“He who receives you receives me, and he who receives me receives him who sent me.
41 ஒருவர் இறைவாக்கினராய் இருப்பதனால், அவரை இறைவாக்கினர் என்று யாராவது ஏற்றுக்கொண்டால், ஏற்றுக்கொண்டவர்கள் இறைவாக்கினருக்குரிய வெகுமதியைப் பெறுவார்கள். ஒருவர் நீதிமான் என்பதால் யாராவது அவரை ஏற்றுக்கொண்டால், ஏற்றுக்கொண்டவர்கள் நீதிமானுக்குரிய வெகுமதியைப் பெறுவார்கள்.
He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward. He who receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man will receive a righteous man’s reward.
42 இந்தச் சிறியவர்களான எனது சீடர்களுக்கு யாராவது ஒரு குவளை குளிர்ந்த நீரைக் கொடுத்தால், கொடுத்தவர்கள் தமக்குரிய வெகுமதியை நிச்சயமாய் பெற்றுக்கொள்ளாமல் போகமாட்டார்கள் என்று உண்மையாகவே நான் உங்களுக்குச் சொல்கிறேன்” என்றார்.
Whoever gives one of these little ones just a cup of cold water to drink in the name of a disciple, most certainly I tell you, he will in no way lose his reward.”
