மாற்கு 7
1 ஒரு நாள் பரிசேயரும், மோசேயின் சட்ட ஆசிரியரில் சிலரும் எருசலேமிலிருந்து ஒன்றாய் வந்து, இயேசுவைச் சுற்றி நின்றார்கள்.
AND the Pharisees, and some of the scribes, who came from Jerusalem, collected together around him.
2 இயேசுவின் சீடர்களில் சிலர் முறைப்படி கை கழுவாமல், அசுத்தமான கைகளினால் உணவு சாப்பிடுவதை அவர்கள் கண்டார்கள்.
And seeing some of his disciples eating bread with hands unclean, that is, unwashed, they found fault.
3 பரிசேயரும், யூதர் எல்லோரும் முன்னோரின் பாரம்பரிய முறைப்படி, கைகளைக் கழுவினாலன்றி சாப்பிடமாட்டார்கள்.
For the Pharisees and all the Jews, unless they wash their hands to the wrist, eat not, holding the tradition of the elders.
4 சந்தைகூடும் இடங்களிலிருந்து வரும்போது தங்களைக் கழுவாமல் அவர்கள் சாப்பிடுவதில்லை. அது தவிர குவளைகள், கிண்ணங்கள், வெண்கலப் பாத்திரங்கள் ஆகியவற்றைக் கழுவுவது போன்ற அநேக பாரம்பரிய முறைகளையும் கைக்கொண்டார்கள்.
And coming from the market, unless they have washed, they never eat. And there are many other things which they have by tradition received to observe, as the washings of cups, and pots, and vessels of brass, and couches.
5 எனவே பரிசேயரும், மோசேயின் சட்ட ஆசிரியரும் இயேசுவிடம், “உமது சீடர்கள் முன்னோரின் பாரம்பரிய முறைப்படி நடந்து கொள்ளாதிருப்பது ஏன்? அவர்கள் ‘அசுத்தமான’ கைகளினால் உணவு சாப்பிடுகிறார்களே” என்றார்கள்.
Then the Pharisees and the scribes asked him, Why do not thy disciples walk conformable to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashed hands?
6 அதற்கு இயேசு பதிலாக, “வேஷக்காரராகிய உங்களைக்குறித்து சரியாகவே இறைவாக்கினன் ஏசாயா இறைவாக்குரைத்தான்; அவர் எழுதியிருக்கிறதாவது: “‘இந்த மக்கள் தங்கள் உதடுகளினால் என்னைக் கனம்பண்ணுகிறார்கள். ஆனால் அவர்கள் இருதயமோ என்னைவிட்டுத் தூரமாயிருக்கிறது.
Then he answering said to them, Well did Isaiah prophesy concerning you hypocrites, as it is written, “This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.
7 அவர்கள் வீணாகவே என்னை ஆராதிக்கிறார்கள்; அவர்களுடைய போதனைகளோ, மனிதர்களின் ஒழுங்குவிதிகளே.’
Now vainly do they worship me, while teaching doctrines the commandments of men.”
8 நீங்களோ, இறைவனுடைய கட்டளைகளைக் கைவிட்டு, மனிதரின் பாரம்பரிய முறைகளையே பற்றிப்பிடித்துக் கொண்டிருக்கிறீர்கள்” என்றார்.
For leaving the command of God, ye adhere to the tradition of men, the washings of pots and cups; and many other such like things ye practise.
9 மேலும், அவர் அவர்களிடம் சொன்னதாவது: “நீங்கள் உங்கள் பாரம்பரிய முறைகளைக் கைக்கொள்வதற்காக, இறைவனின் கட்டளைகளைப் புறக்கணிப்பதில் மிகவும் புத்திசாலிகள்.
And he said to them, Strangely do ye make void the command of God, that ye may observe your tradition.
10 ஏனெனில் மோசே, ‘உனது தகப்பனையும் தாயையும் கனம்பண்ணுவாயாக என்றும், தனது தகப்பனையோ தாயையோ சபித்தால் அவன் கொல்லப்படவேண்டும்’ என்றும் சொல்லியிருக்கிறார்.
For Moses said, “Honour thy father and thy mother:” and “he that curseth father or mother, let him assuredly be put to death.”
11 ஆனால் நீங்களோ, ஒருவன் தன் தாய் தகப்பனைப் பார்த்து, ‘என்னிடமிருந்து நீங்கள் பெற்றுக்கொள்ளக்கூடிய உதவியை காணிக்கையாக இறைவனுக்கு அர்ப்பணித்துவிட்டேன்’ என்று அவன் சொன்னால், அதுபோதும் என்கிறீர்கள்.
But ye affirm, If a man say to his father or mother, it is Corban (that is, a gift), which otherwise might have been advantageous to thee from me;
12 அதற்குப் பின்பு தன் தகப்பனுக்கோ, தாய்க்கோ எந்த உதவியையும் செய்ய நீங்கள் அனுமதிப்பதில்லை.
then ye permit him no more to do any thing for his father, or his mother;
13 இவ்விதமாய், நீங்கள் கைக்கொண்டுவரும் பாரம்பரிய முறையினால், இறைவனுடைய வார்த்தையை செல்லாததாக்குகிறீர்கள். அத்துடன், நீங்கள் இவ்விதமான பல காரியங்களையும் செய்கிறீர்கள்” என்றார்.
abrogating the word of God by the tradition, which ye have transmitted down; and many such like things ye do.
14 மேலும், இயேசு மக்கள் கூட்டத்தைத் தன்னிடம் அழைத்துச் சொன்னதாவது: “நீங்கள் ஒவ்வொருவரும் எனக்குச் செவிகொடுத்து, இதை விளங்கிக்கொள்ளுங்கள்.
And he called to him all the multitude, and said unto them, hear me all of you, and understand.
15 மனிதனுக்கு வெளியே இருப்பது எதுவும், அவனுக்குள்ளே போவதினால் அவன் அசுத்தமாவதில்லை. ஆனால், மனிதனுக்குள்ளேயிருந்து வெளியே வருகிறவைகளே, அவனை அசுத்தப்படுத்துகின்றன.
There is nothing from without a man, that entering into him, can make him unclean: but the things which come out from him, these are the things which make a man unclean.
16 கேட்கிறதற்குக் காதுகளுள்ளவன் கேட்கட்டும்” என்று கூறினார்.
If any man hath ears to hear, let him hear.
17 பின் மக்கள் கூட்டத்தைவிட்டு, அவர் புறப்பட்டு வீட்டிற்குள் சென்றார். அப்பொழுது அவருடைய சீடர்கள் அவரிடத்தில், அவர் சொன்ன இந்த உவமையின் கருத்து என்ன? என்று கேட்டார்கள்.
And when he was come into the house from the multitude, his disciples asked him concerning the parable.
18 அவர் அவர்களிடம், “நீங்கள் புரிந்துகொள்ளாமல் இருக்கிறீர்களோ? ஒரு மனிதனுக்கு வெளியே இருந்து அவனுக்கு உள்ளே போகிறவை, அவனை அசுத்தப்படுத்துவதில்லை என்று உங்களுக்குத் தெரியாதா?
And he saith to them, Are ye also so defective of intelligence? Do you not consider, that every thing from without that entereth into a man, cannot make him unclean?
19 ஏனெனில், அது அவனுடைய இருதயத்திற்குள் போகாமல், அவனுடைய வயிற்றுக்குள் போய், அவனது உடலைவிட்டு வெளியேறுகிறது” என்றார். இப்படிச் சொல்லி, இயேசு எல்லா உணவுப் பொருட்களும் சுத்தமானது என்று அறிவித்தார்.
because it entereth not into his heart, but into his belly, and goeth out into the vault, carrying off all the impurities of the food.
20 இயேசு தொடர்ந்து: “ஒரு மனிதருக்கு உள்ளேயிருந்து வெளியே வருகிறவைகள் அவரை ‘அசுத்தப்படுத்தும்.’
But, said he, what cometh out of a man, that makes a man unclean.
21 ஏனெனில், மனிதருடைய இருதயங்களிலிருந்தே முறைகேடான பாலுறவு, களவு, கொலை,
For from within out of the heart of men proceed wicked reasonings, adulteries, whoredoms, murders,
22 விபசாரம், பேராசை, அநியாயம், வஞ்சகம், காமவெறி, பொறாமை, அவதூறு, கர்வம், மதிகேடு போன்ற தீய சிந்தனைகள் வருகின்றன;
thefts, inordinate cravings, mischievous actions, knavery, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, folly:
23 தீமையான இவை யாவும் உள்ளத்திலிருந்து வருகின்றன. இவையே, மனிதரை அசுத்தப்படுத்துகின்றன” என்றார்.
all these wicked things come from within, and render a person unclean.
24 இயேசு அவ்விடம்விட்டுப் புறப்பட்டு, தீரு பட்டணத்தின் சுற்றுப் புறத்திற்குச் சென்றார். அவர் ஒரு வீட்டிற்குள் போய், தான் அங்கு இருப்பதை ஒருவரும் அறியாதிருக்க வேண்டும் என்று விரும்பினார்; ஆனால், அவர் அங்கிருப்பதை மறைக்க முடியவில்லை.
And rising, he departed thence into the confines of Tyre and Sidon; and entering into a house, desired that no man should know it: yet he could not be hid.
25 ஒரு பெண் இயேசுவைக்குறித்து கேள்விப்பட்ட உடனே, அவரிடத்தில் வந்து அவருடைய பாதத்தில் விழுந்தாள். அவளது மகளை ஒரு அசுத்த ஆவி பிடித்திருந்தது.
For a woman hearing of him, whose daughter had an unclean spirit, came and fell at his feet.
26 அவள் சீரோபேனிக்கியாவைப் பிறப்பிடமாகக் கொண்ட, ஒரு கிரேக்கப் பெண். தனது மகளிடத்திலிருக்கும் அந்தப் பிசாசைத் துரத்திவிடும்படி, அவள் இயேசுவைக் கெஞ்சிக் கேட்டாள்.
The woman was a Greek, a Syrophenician by birth, and she entreated him that the devil might be cast out of her daughter.
27 இயேசு அவளிடம், “முதலில் பிள்ளைகள், அவர்களுக்கு வேண்டியதைச் சாப்பிடட்டும். ஏனெனில் பிள்ளைகளின் உணவை எடுத்து நாய்க்குட்டிகளுக்குப் போடுவது சரியல்ல” என்றார்.
And Jesus said unto her, Let the children first be fed, for it is not proper to take the children’s bread, and throw it to the dogs.
28 அதற்கு அவள், “ஆம், ஆண்டவரே, ஆனால் மேஜையின்கீழ் இருக்கும் நாய்க்குட்டிகள், பிள்ளைகள் சிந்தும் அப்பத்துண்டுகளைத் தின்னுமே” என்று பதிலளித்தாள்.
But she replied, and said to him, True, Lord, yet the dogs under the table eat of the children’s crumbs.
29 அப்பொழுது இயேசு அவளிடம், “உனது இந்தப் பதிலே போதும், நீ போகலாம்; அந்தப் பிசாசு உன் மகளை விட்டுப் போய்விட்டது” என்றார்.
And he said unto her, For this speech, go home, the devil is gone out of thy daughter.
30 அப்படியே அவள் வீட்டிற்குப்போய், தனது மகள் படுக்கையில் படுத்திருப்பதைக் கண்டாள். பிசாசு அவளைவிட்டுப் போயிருந்தது.
And going to her house, she found the devil gone out, and her daughter laid on a couch.
31 அதற்குப் பின்பு இயேசு, தீருவின் சுற்றுப் புறத்தை விட்டுப் புறப்பட்டு, சீதோன் வழியாகப்போய், தெக்கப்போலி பகுதியிலுள்ள கலிலேயாக் கடல் பகுதியை அடைந்தார்.
And again departing from the coasts of Tyre and Sidon, he came to the sea of Galilee, through the midst of the coasts of Decapolis.
32 அங்கே சிலர் அவரிடத்தில் செவிடனும், ஊமையுமாயிருந்த ஒருவனைக் கூட்டிக்கொண்டு வந்தார்கள். அவன்மேல் இயேசு தமது கைகளை வைக்க வேண்டுமென்று அவர்கள் அவரைக் கெஞ்சிக் கேட்டார்கள்.
And they bring him a deaf man, who could scarcely articulate; and they entreat him to put his hand upon him.
33 இயேசு மக்கள் கூட்டத்திலிருந்து அவனைத் தனிமையான ஒரு இடத்திற்கு கூட்டிக்கொண்டுபோய், அவனுடைய காதுகளுக்குள் தமது விரல்களை வைத்தார். அதற்குப் பின்பு அவர் உமிழ்ந்து, அவனது நாவைத் தொட்டார்.
And he took him aside out of the crowd, and put his fingers into his ears, and spitting, he touched his tongue;
34 அவர் ஆழ்ந்த பெருமூச்சுடன் வானத்தை நோக்கிப்பார்த்து, “எப்பத்தா!” என்றார். “திறக்கப்படுவாயாக” என்பதே அதன் அர்த்தமாகும்.
and looking up to heaven, he heaved a deep sigh, and saith unto him, Ephphatha! that is, Be opened.
35 உடனே, அவனுடைய காதுகள் திறவுண்டன. அவனுடைய நாவு கட்டவிழ்ந்தது. அவன் தெளிவாய் பேசத் தொடங்கினான்.
And instantly his ears were opened, and the tie of his tongue loosed, and he spake distinctly.
36 இதை ஒருவருக்கும் சொல்லவேண்டாம் என்று, இயேசு அவர்களுக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டார். ஆனால் அவர் சொல்லவேண்டாம் என்று எவ்வளவு அதிகமாய்ச் சொன்னாரோ, அவ்வளவு அதிகமாய் அந்தச் செய்தியை அவர்கள் பரப்பினார்கள்.
And he charged them that they should tell no man: but the more he charged, the more abundantly they published it abroad.
37 மக்களோ வியப்படைந்து மலைத்துப்போனார்கள். அவர்கள், “இயேசு எல்லாவற்றையும் நன்றாகச் செய்தார்; அவர் செவிடர்களைக் கேட்கவும், ஊமையர்களைப் பேசவும் செய்கிறாரே” என்றார்கள்.
And they were astonished beyond all imagination, saying, He hath done all things admirably; he maketh even the deaf to hear, and the dumb to speak.
