மாற்கு 2
1 சில நாட்களுக்குப்பின், இயேசு மீண்டும் கப்பர்நகூமுக்குச் சென்றபோது, அவர் வீட்டிற்கு வந்திருக்கிறார் என்று மக்கள் கேள்விப்பட்டார்கள்.
AND again he entered into Capernaum after some days: and it was heard, that he was in the house;
2 எனவே மக்கள் அங்கு திரளாய் கூடிவந்தார்கள்; இதனால் வீட்டின் வாசலுக்கு வெளியேயும் இடம் இல்லாமல் போயிற்று. இயேசு மக்களுக்கு வார்த்தையைப் போதித்தார்.
and immediately many collected round him, so that there was no room, not even at the door; and he spake the word to them.
3 அப்பொழுது சிலர் முடக்குவாதக்காரன் ஒருவனை அவரிடம் கொண்டுவந்தார்கள். அவர்களில் நாலுபேர் அவனைத் தூக்கிக்கொண்டு வந்திருந்தார்கள்.
And they come to him, carrying a paralytic, borne of four:
4 ஆனால் மக்கள் கூட்டம் அதிகமாய் இருந்தபடியால், அவர்களால் அவனை இயேசுவினிடத்தில் கொண்டு வரமுடியவில்லை; எனவே அவர்கள் இயேசு இருந்த இடத்துக்கு மேலாக உள்ள கூரையைப் பிரித்துத் திறப்பு உண்டாக்கி, முடக்குவாதக்காரனைப் படுத்திருந்த படுக்கையோடு கீழே இறக்கினார்கள்.
and not being able to come nigh him because of the crowd, they stripped off the roofing of the house where he was; and having broken a way through, they let down with ropes the couch, on which the paralytic lay.
5 இயேசு அவர்களுடைய விசுவாசத்தைக் கண்டபோது, அந்த முடக்குவாதக்காரனிடம், “மகனே, உன்னுடைய பாவங்கள் மன்னிக்கப்பட்டன” என்றார்.
Then Jesus beholding their faith, saith to the paralytic, Son, thy sins are forgiven thee.
6 அங்கிருந்த சில மோசேயின் சட்ட ஆசிரியர்கள், தங்கள் இருதயங்களில்,
Now there were certain of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts,
7 “இவன் ஏன் இப்படிப் பேசுகிறான்? இவன் இறைவனை நிந்திக்கிறானே! இறைவனால் மாத்திரமேயன்றி, வேறு யாரால் பாவங்களை மன்னிக்க முடியும்?” என்று சிந்தித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தார்கள்.
Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but the one God?
8 உடனே இயேசு தமது ஆவியில் அவர்கள் தங்களுடைய இருதயங்களில் இவ்வாறு சிந்திக்கிறார்கள் என அறிந்துகொண்டார். எனவே இயேசு அவர்களிடம், “நீங்கள் ஏன் இவ்விதமாகச் சிந்திக்கிறீர்கள்?
And instantly Jesus knowing by his spirit, that they reasoned thus among each other, said to them, Why reason ye about these things in your hearts?
9 நான் இந்த முடக்குவாதக்காரனிடம், ‘உன்னுடைய பாவங்கள் மன்னிக்கப்பட்டன’ என்று சொல்வதா, அல்லது, ‘நீ எழுந்து உன் படுக்கையை எடுத்துக்கொண்டு நட’ என்று சொல்வதா, எது எளிது?” என்று கேட்டார்.
Which is the easier thing, to say to a paralytic, Thy sins are forgiven thee; or to say, Arise and take up thy couch, and walk away?
10 ஆனால், “பூமியிலே பாவங்களை மன்னிப்பதற்கு மானிடமகனாகிய எனக்கு அதிகாரம் உண்டு என்பதை நீங்கள் அறியவேண்டும்” என்று விரும்புகிறேன்.
But that ye may know that the Son of man hath authority upon earth to forgive sins, he saith to the paralytic,
11 பின்பு இயேசு அந்த முடக்குவாதக்காரனிடம், “எழுந்திரு, உன் படுக்கையை எடுத்துக்கொண்டு உன் வீட்டுக்குப்போ” என்றார்.
I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy couch, and go into thy house.
12 உடனே அவன் எழுந்து தன் படுக்கையை எடுத்துக்கொண்டு எல்லோருக்கும் முன்பாக நடந்துபோனான். இதனால் எல்லோரும் வியப்படைந்து, “இப்படிப்பட்ட காரியத்தை நாங்கள் ஒருபோதும் கண்டதில்லை” என்று சொல்லி, இறைவனைத் துதித்தார்கள்.
And he arose instantly, and taking up his couch, went out before them all; so that they were all astonished, and glorified God, saying, We never before saw any thing like this.
13 மீண்டும் இயேசு புறப்பட்டு, கடற்கரை அருகே சென்றார். மக்கள் கூட்டமாகத் திரண்டு அவரிடம் வந்தார்கள்; இயேசு அவர்களுக்குப் போதித்தார்.
And he went forth again to the sea side; and all the people came unto him; and he taught them.
14 பின்பு அவர் தொடர்ந்து நடந்துபோகையில் அல்பேயுவின் மகனான லேவி, வரி வசூலிக்கிறவர்களுடைய அலுவலகத்தில் உட்கார்ந்திருப்பதைக் கண்டார். இயேசு அவனிடம், “என்னைப் பின்பற்றி வா” என்றார். அப்பொழுது லேவி எழுந்து, அவரைப் பின்பற்றிச் சென்றான்.
And passing by, he saw Levi the son of Alpheus sitting at the custom-house, and he saith to him, Follow me. And he arose and followed him
15 இயேசு லேவியின் வீட்டில் விருந்து சாப்பிடுகையில், வரி வசூலிக்கிறவர்களும், பாவிகளும் இயேசுவோடும் அவருடைய சீடரோடும் பந்தியில் இருந்தார்கள்; ஏனெனில் இவர்களில் அநேகர் இயேசுவைப் பின்பற்றினார்கள்.
And it came to pass, as he sat at table in his house, many publicans also, and sinners, sat down with Jesus and his disciples; for they were numerous, and they followed him.
16 பாவிகளோடும் வரி வசூலிக்கிறவர்களோடும் இயேசு சாப்பிட்டுக் கொண்டிருப்பதை மோசேயின் சட்ட ஆசிரியர்களான பரிசேயர் கண்டபோது, அவர்கள் இயேசுவின் சீடர்களிடம், “அவர் ஏன் வரி வசூலிக்கிறவர்களோடும் பாவிகளோடும் சாப்பிடுகிறார்?” என்று கேட்டார்கள்.
And the scribes and the Pharisees seeing him eat with publicans and sinners, said to his disciples, How is it that he eateth and drinketh with publicans and sinners?
17 இதைக் கேட்டபோது, இயேசு அவர்களிடம், “சுகமாயிருப்பவர்களுக்கு வைத்தியன் தேவையில்லை, வியாதியாய் இருப்பவர்களுக்கே வைத்தியன் தேவை. நான் நீதிமான்களை அழைப்பதற்காக வரவில்லை, பாவிகளையே அழைக்கவந்தேன்” என்றார்.
And when Jesus heard it, he said unto them, They who are in strong health have no need of a physician, but they who have illness: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
18 அந்நாட்களில் யோவானின் சீடர்களும் பரிசேயரும் உபவாசித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தார்கள். அப்பொழுது சிலர் இயேசுவினிடத்தில் வந்து, “யோவானின் சீடர்களும், பரிசேயருடைய சீடர்களும் உபவாசிக்கிறார்கள், ஆனால் உம்முடைய சீடர்கள் ஏன், உபவாசிப்பதில்லை?” என்று கேட்டார்கள்.
And the disciples of John and of the Pharisees kept fasts; and they came and said to him, Wherefore do the disciples of John, and of the Pharisees, fast? but thy disciples keep no fast.
19 அதற்கு இயேசு, “மணமகன் தங்களுடன் இருக்கும்போது, மணமகனின் விருந்தினர் எப்படி உபவாசிப்பார்கள்? மணமகன் தங்களோடு இருக்கும்வரைக்கும், அவர்களால் உபவாசிக்கமுடியாது.
And Jesus said to them, Can the children of the bridechamber fast, while the bridegroom is with them? as long as they have the bridegroom with them, they cannot fast.
20 ஆனால், மணமகன் அவர்களைவிட்டு எடுக்கப்படும் காலம் வரும்; அந்த நாளில், அவர்கள் உபவாசிப்பார்கள்.
But the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, and then shall they fast in those days.
21 “யாரும் பழைய ஆடையில் புதிய துணியை ஒட்டுப் போடுவதில்லை. அப்படி ஒட்டுப் போட்டால், அந்தப் புதிய துணி பழையதிலிருந்து கிழியும்; கிழிசலும் இன்னும் அதிகமாகும்.”
And no man seweth on a patch of cloth undressed upon an old garment: but if otherwise, the new piece supplied taketh away from the old, and the rent is made worse.
22 யாரும் புதிய திராட்சை இரசத்தைப் பழைய தோல் பைகளில் ஊற்றி வைப்பதில்லை. இல்லையென்றால், அந்த திராட்சை இரசம் தோல் பைகளை வெடிக்கச்செய்யும்; திராட்சை இரசம், தோல் பை ஆகிய இரண்டுமே பாழாய்ப்போகும். அப்படிச் செய்யாமல், புதிய திராட்சை இரசத்தைப் புதிய தோல் பைகளில் ஊற்றி வைக்கவேண்டும்.
And no man putteth new wine into old bottles; but if otherwise, the new wine will burst the bottles, and the wine will be spilt, and the bottles destroyed: but new wine must be put into new bottles.
23 ஒரு ஓய்வுநாளில் இயேசுவும் அவருடைய சீடர்களும் தானியம் விளைந்திருந்த வயல்வழியாகப் போகையில், சீடர்கள் தானியக்கதிர்கள் சிலவற்றைப் பறிக்கத் தொடங்கினார்கள்.
And he was walking through the cornfields on the sabbath; and his disciples as they went on the road plucked the ears of corn.
24 பரிசேயர்கள் இயேசுவிடம், “ஓய்வுநாளில் மோசேயின் சட்டத்தினால் தடைசெய்யப்பட்ட காரியத்தை அவர்கள் ஏன் செய்கிறார்கள்?” என்று கேட்டார்கள்.
And the Pharisees said to him, See, why are they doing on the sabbath, what is not lawful?
25 இயேசு அதற்குப் பதிலாக அவர்களிடம், “தாவீதும் அவனுடைய கூட்டாளிகளும், பசியாயிருந்தபோது என்ன செய்தார்கள் என்பதைப்பற்றி நீங்கள் ஒருபோதும் வாசிக்கவில்லையா?
And he said unto them, Have ye never read what David did, when he was under necessity, and was hungry, himself and they who were with him?
26 அபியத்தார் பிரதான ஆசாரியனாக இருந்த நாட்களில், தாவீது இறைவனுடைய வீட்டிற்குள் போய், மோசேயின் சட்டத்தின்படி ஆசாரியர்கள் மட்டுமே சாப்பிடக்கூடிய தேவசமுகத்து அப்பத்தை அவன் சாப்பிட்டு அதில் சிலவற்றைத் தன்னோடிருந்தவர்களுக்கும் கொடுத்தானே” என்றார்.
How he entered into the house of God to Abiathar the high-priest; and did eat the shewbread, which it was not lawful for any to eat except the priests, and he gave also to those who were with him?
27 பின்பு இயேசு அவர்களிடம், “ஓய்வுநாளுக்காக மனிதன் அல்ல; மனிதனுக்காக ஓய்வுநாள் உண்டாக்கப்பட்டது.
And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, not man for the sabbath.
28 அந்தப்படியே மானிடமகனாகிய நான் ஓய்வுநாளுக்கும் ஆண்டவராய் இருக்கிறேன்” என்றார்.
Wherefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.
