மாற்கு 10
1 பின்பு இயேசு அவ்விடத்தைவிட்டுப் புறப்பட்டு, யூதேயா பகுதிக்கும், யோர்தானின் மறுபக்கத்திலுள்ள பகுதிகளுக்கும் சென்றார். மீண்டும் மக்கள் அவரிடம் பெருங்கூட்டமாய் வந்தார்கள். வழக்கம்போல் அவர் அவர்களுக்கு போதித்தார்.
And He arose from thence and came into the coasts of Judea, through the country beyond Jordan: and the people resorted to Him again; and, as He was wont, He taught them again.
2 சில பரிசேயர் இயேசுவைச் சோதிக்கும்படி, அவரிடத்தில் வந்து, “ஒருவன் தனது மனைவியை விவாகரத்து செய்வது மோசேயின் சட்டத்திற்கு உகந்ததோ?” என்று கேட்டார்கள்.
And the pharisees came to Him and asked Him, "if it were lawful for a man to put away his wife," tempting Him.
3 அதற்கு இயேசு, “உங்களுக்கு மோசே என்ன கட்டளை கொடுத்திருக்கிறார்?” என்று கேட்டார்.
And he answered and said unto them, What did Moses command you?
4 அதற்கு அவர்கள், “ஒருவன் விவாகரத்துப் பத்திரத்தை எழுதி அவளை விவாகரத்து செய்ய மோசே அனுமதி கொடுத்திருக்கிறார்” என்றார்கள்.
And they said, Moses permitted a man to write a bill of divorce, and to put her away.
5 அதற்கு இயேசு அவர்களுக்கு மறுமொழியாக, “உங்கள் இருதயம் கடினமாய் இருந்ததாலேயே, மோசே இந்தச் சட்டத்தை உங்களுக்கு எழுதிக்கொடுத்திருக்கிறான்” என்றார்.
And Jesus replied, He wrote this precept on account of your cruel tempers:
6 “ஆனால் படைப்பின் தொடக்கத்திலே இறைவன் அவர்களை ‘ஆணும் பெண்ணுமாகவே’ படைத்தார்.
but from the beginning of the world, God created them male and female.
7 ‘இந்தக் காரணத்தினால் ஒருவன் தன் தகப்பனையும் தாயையும் விட்டு, தனது மனைவியுடன் இணைந்திருப்பான்;
For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother,
8 இருவரும் ஒரே உடலாயிருப்பார்கள்.’ எனவே அவர்கள் இருவராய் இல்லாமல், இருவரும் ஒரே உடலாயிருப்பார்கள்.
and be joined to his wife, and they two shall be one flesh: so that they are no longer two, but one flesh.
9 ஆகையால், இறைவன் ஒன்றிணைத்ததை மனிதன் பிரிக்காதிருக்கட்டும்” என்றார்.
Therefore let not man separate what God hath joined together.
10 மீண்டும் அவர்கள் வீட்டில் இருந்தபோது, சீடர்கள் இதைப்பற்றி இயேசுவிடம் கேட்டார்கள்.
And when they were in the house his disciples asked Him again about it:
11 அதற்கு அவர், “தனது மனைவியை விவாகரத்து செய்துவிட்டு, இன்னொரு பெண்ணைத் திருமணம் செய்கிற ஒருவன், அவளுக்கு விரோதமாக விபசாரம் செய்கிறான்.
and He told them, Whoever putteth away his wife and marrieth another, committeth adultery against her.
12 ஒரு பெண் தனது கணவனை விவாகரத்து செய்துவிட்டு, இன்னொருவனைத் திருமணம் செய்தால், அவள் விபசாரம் செய்கிறாள்” என்றார்.
And if a woman be divorced from her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.
13 பிறகு சிலர் சிறுபிள்ளைகளின்மேல் இயேசு கைகளை வைக்கவேண்டும் என்று அவர்களை அவரிடம் கொண்டுவந்தார்கள். ஆனால் சீடரோ அவர்களைக் கண்டித்தார்கள்.
And they brought to Him little children that He might touch them: and the disciples rebuked those that brought them.
14 இயேசு இதைக் கண்டபோது, கோபமடைந்தார். அவர் அவர்களிடம், “சிறுபிள்ளைகளை என்னிடம் வரவிடுங்கள். அவர்களைத் தடுக்கவேண்டாம். ஏனெனில், இறைவனுடைய அரசு இப்படிப்பட்டவர்களுக்கே உரியது.
Which Jesus observing, was much displeased, and said to them, Let the children come to me; and hinder them not; for of such is the kingdom of God.
15 நான் உங்களுக்கு உண்மையைச் சொல்கிறேன், சிறுபிள்ளையைப்போல் இறைவனுடைய அரசை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளாத ஒருவன், அதற்குள் ஒருபோதும் செல்லமாட்டான்” என்றார்.
Verily I tell you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, shall by no means enter into it.
16 இயேசு அந்தப் பிள்ளைகளைத் தமது கைகளால் அணைத்துக்கொண்டு, தமது கைகளை அவர்கள்மேல் வைத்து, அவர்களை ஆசீர்வதித்தார்.
And He took them in his arms, and put his hands upon them, and blessed them.
17 இயேசு அங்கிருந்து போய்க்கொண்டிருக்கையில், ஒருவன் அவரிடத்தில் ஓடிவந்து, அவருக்கு முன்பாக முழங்காற்படியிட்டு, “நல்ல போதகரே, நித்திய வாழ்வைப் பெறுவதற்கு, நான் என்ன செய்யவேண்டும்?” என்று கேட்டான். (aiōnios g166)
And as he went out into the way, there came one running and kneeling to Him, and asked Him, Good master, what shall I do, that I may inherit eternal life? (aiōnios g166)
18 அதற்கு இயேசு, “நீ ஏன் என்னை நல்லவர் என்று அழைக்கிறாய்? இறைவனைத்தவிர நல்லவர் ஒருவரும் இல்லை.
And Jesus said unto him, Why dost thou call me good? there is none good, but one, that is God.
19 ‘விபசாரம் செய்யாதே, கொலை செய்யாதே, களவு செய்யாதே, பொய்சாட்சி சொல்லாதே, மோசடி செய்யாதே, உன் தகப்பனையும் தாயையும் மதித்து நட’ என்ற கட்டளைகளை நீ அறிந்திருக்கிறாயே” என்றார்.
Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Do not defraud, Honour thy father and thy mother.
20 அதற்கு அவன், “போதகரே, நான் சிறுவனாயிருந்த காலம் முதல் இவற்றையெல்லாம் செய்துகொண்டு இருக்கிறேன்” என்றான்.
And he answered and said unto Him, Master, all these have I kept from my youth.
21 இயேசு அவனை நோக்கிப்பார்த்து, அவனிடத்தில் அன்புகொண்டு, “ஒரு காரியம் மட்டும் உன்னிடத்தில் குறைவுபடுகிறது. நீ போய், உன்னிடம் உள்ள எல்லாவற்றையும் விற்று ஏழைகளுக்குக் கொடு. அப்பொழுது, பரலோகத்தில் உனக்கு செல்வம் இருக்கும். பின்பு வந்து என்னைப் பின்பற்று” என்றார்.
Then Jesus looked upon him with affection, and said to him, One thing thou wantest; go, sell all that thou hast, and give it to the poor; and thou shalt have treasure in heaven; and come, take up the cross and follow me.
22 அப்பொழுது அவனுடைய முகம் வாடியது. அவன் துக்கத்துடன் திரும்பிப்போனான், ஏனெனில் அவன் மிகுந்த செல்வமுடையவனாக இருந்தான்.
But he was sad at that saying, and went away sorrowful; for he had great possessions.
23 இயேசு சுற்றிப்பார்த்து, தமது சீடர்களிடம், “ஒரு செல்வந்தன் இறைவனின் அரசுக்குள் போவது எவ்வளவு கடினமானது!” என்றார்.
And Jesus looking round about saith to his disciples, How difficultly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!
24 அவருடைய வார்த்தைகளைக்குறித்து சீடர்கள் வியப்படைந்தார்கள். ஆனால் இயேசு மீண்டும் அவர்களிடம், “பிள்ளைகளே, செல்வந்தர்கள் இறைவனுடைய அரசிற்குள் போவது எவ்வளவு கடினமானது!
And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus repeating it, saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them, that trust in riches, to enter into the kingdom of God!
25 ஒரு செல்வந்தன் இறைவனுடைய அரசிற்குள் செல்வதைப் பார்க்கிலும், ஒரு ஒட்டகம் ஊசியின் காதினுள் நுழைவது எளிதாயிருக்கும்” என்றார்.
It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
26 சீடர்களோ, மேலும் அதிக வியப்படைந்து, “அப்படியானால், யார்தான் இரட்சிக்கப்பட முடியும்?” என்று ஒருவரோடொருவர் பேசிக்கொண்டார்கள்.
And they were exceedingly amazed, saying one to another, Who then can be saved?
27 இயேசு அவர்களை நோக்கிப்பார்த்து, “மனிதனால் இது முடியாததுதான்; ஆனால் இறைவனால் இது முடியாதது அல்ல. இறைவனால் எல்லாவற்றையும் செய்யமுடியும்” என்றார்.
But Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible.
28 அப்பொழுது பேதுரு அவரிடம், “உம்மைப் பின்பற்றுவதற்காக நாங்கள் எல்லாவற்றையும் விட்டுவந்தோமே” என்றான்.
Then Peter said to Him, Behold we have left all, and followed thee.
29 அதற்கு இயேசு, “நான் உங்களுக்கு உண்மையைச் சொல்கிறேன், எனக்காகவும் நற்செய்திக்காகவும் யாராவது தனது வீட்டையோ, சகோதரர்களையோ, சகோதரிகளையோ, தாயையோ, தகப்பனையோ, பிள்ளைகளையோ, வயல்களையோ விட்டிருந்தால்,
And Jesus answered and said, Verily I tell you, there is no one that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children,
31 ஆனால் முதலாவதாய் இருக்கும் அநேகர், கடைசியாகவும். கடைசியாய் இருக்கும் அநேகர் முதலாவதாய் இருப்பார்கள்” என்றார்.
But many that are first shall be last, and the last first.
32 அவர்கள் எருசலேமுக்குப் போய்க்கொண்டிருக்கும் வழியில், இயேசு அவர்களுக்கு முன்னால் போய்க்கொண்டிருந்தார்; சீடர்கள் வியப்படைந்தார்கள். அவரைப் பின்பற்றிச் சென்ற மற்றவர்களோ பயமடைந்திருந்தார்கள். மீண்டும் அவர் பன்னிரண்டு சீடர்களையும் ஒரு பக்கமாய் அழைத்துக் கொண்டுபோய், தமக்கு நிகழவிருப்பதைக் குறித்து அவர்களுக்குச் சொன்னார்.
And they were in the way going up to Jerusalem, and Jesus went before them: and they were amazed at it, and afraid to follow Him. And again taking the twelve aside, He began to tell them what things should befal Him,
33 “இதோ, நாம் எருசலேமுக்குப் போகிறோம். அங்கே மானிடமகனாகிய நான், தலைமை ஆசாரியரிடத்திலும் மோசேயின் சட்ட ஆசிரியர்களிடத்திலும் ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கப்படுவேன். அவர்கள் என்னை மரண தண்டனைக்கு உட்படுத்துவார்கள்.
saying, Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of man shall be delivered to the chief priests, and the scribes, and they will condemn Him to death, and deliver Him to the Gentiles;
34 என்னை ஏளனம் செய்து, என்மேல் துப்பி, சவுக்கால் அடித்து, கொலை செய்யும்படி, யூதரல்லாதவர்களிடம் ஒப்புக்கொடுப்பார்கள். ஆகிலும், மூன்று நாட்களுக்குப்பின்பு, நான் உயிரோடு எழுந்திருப்பேன்” என்றார்.
and they will insult Him, and scourge Him, and spit upon Him, and put Him to death: but on the third day He shall rise again.
35 அப்பொழுது செபெதேயுவின் மகன்களான யாக்கோபும், யோவானும் இயேசுவினிடம் வந்து, “போதகரே, நாங்கள் கேட்பதை நீர் எங்களுக்குச் செய்யவேண்டும் என்று விரும்புகிறோம்” என்றார்கள்.
Then come to Him James and John, the sons of Zebedee, saying, Master, we desire that thou wouldest do for us what we shall request:
36 அதற்கு இயேசு, “நான் உங்களுக்கு என்ன செய்யவேண்டும்” என்று கேட்டார்.
and He said to them, What do ye desire me to do for you?
37 அவர்கள் அதற்குப் பதிலாக, “உமது மகிமையில் எங்களில் ஒருவன் உமது வலதுபக்கத்திலும், மற்றவன் உமது இடது பக்கத்திலும் உட்காரும்படி அனுமதியும். அதையே விரும்புகிறோம்” என்றார்கள்.
they said unto Him, Grant that we may sit, one on thy right hand, and the other on thy left, in thy glory.
38 அதற்கு இயேசு, “நீங்கள் கேட்பது என்ன என்று நீங்கள் அறியாதிருக்கிறீர்கள். நான் குடிக்கும் பாத்திரத்திலிருந்து உங்களால் குடிக்க முடியுமா? அல்லது எனக்கிருக்கும் திருமுழுக்கில் உங்களால் பங்குகொள்ள முடியுமா?” என்று கேட்டார்.
But Jesus said unto them, Ye know not what ye ask. Can ye drink of the cup, that I drink of? and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?
39 அதற்கு அவர்கள், “எங்களால் முடியும்” என்றார்கள். அதற்கு இயேசு அவர்களிடம், “உண்மையாய் நான் குடிக்கும் பாத்திரத்திலிருந்து நீங்கள் குடிப்பீர்கள், எனக்கிருக்கும் திருமுழுக்கை நீங்களும் பெறுவீர்கள்.
And they said, We can. And Jesus said unto them, The cup indeed which I drink, ye shall drink of; and with the baptism, that I am baptized with, shall ye be baptized:
40 ஆனால் எனது வலதுபக்கத்தில் உட்காருவதையோ, இடதுபக்கத்தில் உட்காருவதையோ அனுமதிப்பது எனக்குரியது அல்ல. இந்த இடங்கள் எவர்களுக்காக ஆயத்தம் பண்ணப்பட்டிருக்கிறதோ, அவர்களுக்கே உரியவை” என்றார்.
but to sit on my right hand and on my left, is not mine to give, but for whom it is prepared.
41 இதைக் கேட்ட மற்ற பத்துப்பேரும், யாக்கோபின்மேலும் யோவானின்மேலும் கோபமடைந்தார்கள்.
And when the other ten heard it, they were provoked at James and John.
42 இயேசு சீடர்களை ஒன்றாய்க் கூப்பிட்டு, “யூதரல்லாதவர்களின் ஆளுநர்களாய் கருதப்படுகிறவர்கள், அவர்களை அடக்கி ஆளுகிறார்கள் என்றும், அவர்களுடைய உயர் அதிகாரிகள் அவர்கள்மேல் அதிகாரம் செலுத்துகிறார்கள் என்றும் நீங்கள் அறிந்திருக்கிறீர்கள்.
But Jesus called them to Him, and said unto them, Ye know that those who rule among the Gentiles, lord it over them, and their grandees exercise authority upon them.
43 ஆனால் உங்களுக்குள் அப்படியிருக்கக் கூடாது. உங்கள் மத்தியில் பெரியவனாய் இருக்க விரும்புகிறவன் யாரோ, அவன் உங்களுக்குப் பணிவிடை செய்கிறவனாக இருக்கவேண்டும்.
But it shall not be so among you: but whoever would be great among you shall be your minister;
44 முதன்மையாயிருக்க விரும்புகிறவன் யாரோ, அவன் எல்லோருக்கும் அடிமையாயிருக்க வேண்டும்.
and whoever of you would be first shall be servant of all.
45 மானிடமகனாகிய நானும் பணிவிடையைப் பெற்றுக்கொள்ள அல்ல, பணிவிடை செய்யவே வந்தேன்; அநேகரை மீட்கும்படி என் உயிரைக் கொடுக்கவும் வந்தேன்” என்றார்.
For the Son of man came not to be ministred unto, but to minister and to give his life a ransom for many.
46 அதற்குப் பின்பு இயேசுவும், அவருடைய சீடர்களும் எரிகோவுக்கு வந்துசேர்ந்ததும், அவர்களும், பெருங்கூட்டமாய் இருந்த மக்களும், பட்டணத்தைவிட்டுப் புறப்பட்டுக் கொண்டிருந்தார்கள். அப்பொழுது திமேயுவின் மகனான பர்த்திமேயு என்னும் ஒரு குருடன், வீதியருகே உட்கார்ந்து பிச்சை கேட்டுக்கொண்டிருந்தான்.
And they came to Jericho: and as He was going out of Jericho, with his disciples and a great multitude, blind Bartimeus, the son of Timeus, sat by the way-side begging.
47 நாசரேத்தைச் சேர்ந்த இயேசு வருகிறார் என அவன் கேள்விப்பட்டபோது, “இயேசுவே, தாவீதின் மகனே, என்மேல் இரக்கமாயிரும்!” என்று சத்தமாய்க் கூப்பிடத் தொடங்கினான்.
And hearing that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me.
48 பலர் அவனைக் கண்டித்து, சத்தமிட வேண்டாம் என அவனுக்குச் சொன்னார்கள். ஆனால் அவனோ, “தாவீதின் மகனே, என்மேல் இரக்கமாயிரும்!” என்று இன்னும் அதிகமாய் சத்தமிட்டுக் கூப்பிட்டான்.
And many rebuked him, that he might hold his peace: but he cried out so much the more, Thou son of David, have pity on me.
49 இயேசு அவ்விடத்தில் நின்று, “அவனைக் கூப்பிடுங்கள்” என்றார். அவர்கள் அந்தக் குருடனைக் கூப்பிட்டு, “தைரியமாய் இரு! எழுந்து நில்! இயேசு உன்னைக் கூப்பிடுகிறார்” என்றார்கள்.
And Jesus stopt, and ordered him to be called: so they called the blind man, and said to him, Be of good courage, rise up, He calleth thee.
50 அவன் தனது மேலுடையை எறிந்துவிட்டு, துள்ளி எழுந்து இயேசுவிடம் வந்தான்.
And he threw off his outer garment, and arose, and came to Jesus.
51 இயேசு அவனிடம், “நான் உனக்கு என்ன செய்யவேண்டும் என்று விரும்புகிறாய்?” என்று கேட்டார். அதற்கு அந்தக் குருடன், “ஆண்டவரே, நான் பார்க்க விரும்புகிறேன்” என்றான்.
And Jesus said to him, What dost thou desire that I should do for thee? And the blind man said to Him, Lord, that I may recover my sight.
52 அப்பொழுது இயேசு, “நீ போ. உன் விசுவாசம் உன்னைக் குணமாக்கியது” என்றார். உடனே அவன் பார்வையைப் பெற்று, அவ்வழியிலேயே இயேசுவைப் பின்பற்றிச் சென்றான்.
And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way, thy faith has cured thee. And he immediately recovered his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.
