மாற்கு 1
1 இறைவனுடைய மகன் இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவைப் பற்றிய நற்செய்தியின் தொடக்கம்.
The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ the Son of God;
2 இது ஏசாயா என்ற இறைவாக்கினரின் புத்தகத்தில் எழுதப்பட்டுள்ளது: “நான் என்னுடைய தூதனை உமக்கு முன்பாக அனுப்புவேன்; அவன் உமது வழியை ஆயத்தப்படுத்துவான்”
As it is written in the prophets, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, who shall prepare thy way before thee;
3 “‘கர்த்தருக்கு வழியை ஆயத்தப்படுத்துங்கள்; அவருக்காகப் பாதைகளை நேராக்குங்கள்’ என்று ஒருவனுடைய குரல் பாலைவனத்திலே சத்தமிட்டது.”
The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.
4 அவ்வாறே யோவான் ஸ்நானகன் பாலைவனப் பகுதியில் வந்து, திருமுழுக்கு கொடுத்துக் கொண்டிருந்தான். அவன் மக்கள் பாவங்களிலிருந்து மன்னிப்புப் பெறுவதற்கு, அவர்கள் மனந்திரும்பிப் பெறவேண்டிய திருமுழுக்கைக் குறித்துப் பிரசங்கித்தான்.
John was baptizing in the wilderness, and preaching the baptism of repentance, for the remission of sins.
5 யூதேயா மாகாணத்தின் எல்லா நாட்டுப்புறங்களிலும் எருசலேம் நகரத்திலுமிருந்து எல்லாரும் அவனிடம் சென்றார்கள். அங்கே அவர்கள் தங்களுடைய பாவங்களை அறிக்கைசெய்து, யோர்தான் ஆற்றிலே அவனால் திருமுழுக்குப் பெற்றார்கள்.
And there went out to him all the land of Judea, and they of Jerusalem, and were all baptized by him in the river Jordan, confessing their sins.
6 யோவானின் உடைகள் ஒட்டக முடியினால் செய்யப்பட்டிருந்தன. அவன் இடுப்பைச் சுற்றி தோல் பட்டியையும் கட்டியிருந்தான். அவனது உணவு வெட்டுக்கிளியும், காட்டுத்தேனுமாய் இருந்தது.
And John was clothed with camels hair, and with a girdle of a skin about his loins; and he ate locusts and wild honey;
7 அவன் அறிவித்த செய்தி என்னவென்றால், “என்னைப் பார்க்கிலும் அதிக வல்லமையுள்ளவர் எனக்குப்பின் வருகிறார். நானோ அவருடைய பாதரட்சைகளின் வாரையும் குனிந்து அவிழ்ப்பதற்குத் தகுதியற்றவன்.
And preached, saying, There cometh after me one mightier than I, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to stoop down and unloose.
8 நான் உங்களுக்குத் தண்ணீரினால் திருமுழுக்கு கொடுக்கிறேன்; ஆனால் அவர் உங்களுக்குப் பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவரால் திருமுழுக்கு கொடுப்பார்.”
I indeed have baptized you with water: but he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.
9 அக்காலத்தில் இயேசு கலிலேயா மாகாணத்தின் நாசரேத் பட்டணத்திலிருந்து வந்து, யோர்தான் ஆற்றிலே யோவானால் திருமுழுக்கு பெற்றார்.
And it came to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth to Galilee, and was baptized by John in Jordan.
10 இயேசு தண்ணீரிலிருந்து கரையேறிய உடனே, வானம் திறக்கப்பட்டதையும் பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவர் ஒரு புறாவைப்போல் தம்மேல் இறங்குகிறதையும் அவர் கண்டார்.
And immediately coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him.
11 அப்பொழுது வானத்திலிருந்து ஒரு குரல்: “நீர் என்னுடைய அன்பு மகன்; நான் உம்மில் மிகவும் மகிழ்ச்சியாய் இருக்கிறேன்” என்று ஒலித்தது.
And there came a voice from heaven, [saying], Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
12 உடனே ஆவியானவர் இயேசுவைப் பாலைவனத்துக்கு அனுப்பினார்.
And immediately the spirit driveth him into the wilderness.
13 இயேசு பாலைவனத்தில் நாற்பது நாட்கள் இருந்து சாத்தானால் சோதிக்கப்பட்டார். அங்கு அவர் காட்டு மிருகங்களுடன் இருந்தார்; இறைவனுடைய தூதர்கள் அவருக்குப் பணிவிடை செய்தார்கள்.
And he was there in the wilderness forty days tempted by Satan: and was with the wild beasts, and the angels ministered to him.
14 யோவான் சிறையில் அடைக்கப்பட்ட பின்பு, இயேசு இறைவனுடைய நற்செய்தியை அறிவித்துக்கொண்டு கலிலேயாவுக்கு வந்து,
Now after John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,
15 “காலம் நிறைவேறிவிட்டது, இறைவனுடைய அரசு சமீபித்திருக்கிறது. மனந்திரும்பி நற்செய்தியை விசுவாசியுங்கள்” என்றார்.
And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.
16 இயேசு கலிலேயா கடற்கரையில் நடந்து போகும்போது சீமோனையும் அவனது சகோதரன் அந்திரேயாவையும் கண்டார்; மீனவர்களான அவர்கள் கடலில் வலை வீசிக்கொண்டிருந்தார்கள்.
Now as he was walking by the sea of Galilee, he saw Simon, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.
17 இயேசு அவர்களிடம், “வாருங்கள், என்னைப் பின்பற்றுங்கள்; நான் உங்களை இறைவனுடைய வழியில் மனிதரை நடத்துகிறவர்களாக மாற்றுவேன்” என்றார்.
And Jesus said to them, Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men.
18 உடனே அவர்கள் தங்கள் வலைகளை விட்டுவிட்டு, இயேசுவைப் பின்பற்றினார்கள்.
And immediately they forsook their nets, and followed him.
19 இயேசு சற்று தூரம் போனபின்பு, செபெதேயுவின் மகன் யாக்கோபையும், அவனுடைய சகோதரன் யோவானையும் கண்டார்; அவர்கள் ஒரு படகிலிருந்து தங்கள் வலைகளை ஆயத்தப்படுத்திக் கொண்டிருந்தார்கள்.
And when he had gone a little further thence, he saw James the [son] of Zebedee, and John his brother, who also were in the boat mending their nets.
20 உடனே இயேசு அவர்களையும் அழைத்தார்; அவர்கள் தங்கள் தகப்பனாகிய செபெதேயுவை படகிலே கூலியாட்களோடு விட்டுவிட்டு, இயேசுவைப் பின்பற்றினார்கள்.
And immediately he called them: and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired servants, and went after him.
21 பின்பு அவர்கள் கப்பர்நகூம் நகரத்திற்குச் சென்றார்கள்; ஓய்வுநாளில் இயேசு யூத ஜெப ஆலயத்திற்குச் சென்று, அங்கு போதித்தார்.
And they went into Capernaum; and immediately on the sabbath he entered into the synagogue and taught.
22 அங்கிருந்த மக்கள் அவருடைய போதனையைக் கேட்டு வியப்படைந்தார்கள். ஏனெனில், அவர் மோசேயின் சட்ட ஆசிரியர்களைப்போல் போதிக்காமல், அதிகாரமுள்ளவராய் அவர்களுக்கு போதித்தார்.
And they were astonished at his doctrine: for he taught them as one that had authority, and not as the scribes.
23 அப்பொழுது, அந்த ஜெப ஆலயத்தில் தீய ஆவி பிடித்தவனாயிருந்த ஒருவன் சத்தமிட்டு,
And there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit; and he cried out,
24 “நசரேயனாகிய இயேசுவே, எங்களிடம் உமக்கு என்ன? எங்களை அழிப்பதற்காகவா வந்தீர்? நீர் யார் என்பது எனக்குத் தெரியும், நீர் இறைவனுடைய பரிசுத்தர்!” என்றான்.
Saying, Let [us] alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God.
25 “அமைதியாயிரு! இவனைவிட்டு வெளியே போ” என்று இயேசு அவனை அதட்டினார்.
And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him.
26 அப்பொழுது தீய ஆவி, அந்த மனிதனை வலிப்புடன் வீழ்த்தி, பெருங்கூச்சலிட்டுக் கொண்டு, அவனைவிட்டு வெளியேறியது.
And when the unclean spirit had torn him, and cried with a loud voice, he came out of him.
27 எல்லோரும் வியப்படைந்து ஒருவரோடொருவர், “இது என்ன? இது அதிகாரமுடைய ஒரு புதிய போதனையாக இருக்கிறதே! இயேசு தீய ஆவிகளுக்குக்கூட கட்டளையிடுகிறார்; அவைகளும் அவருக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிகின்றனவே” என்று பேசிக்கொண்டார்கள்.
And they were all amazed, so that they questioned among themselves, saying, What thing is this? what new doctrine [is] this? for with authority he commandeth even the unclean spirits, and they obey him.
28 இயேசுவைப்பற்றிய இச்செய்தி கலிலேயா பகுதிகள் முழுவதும் விரைவாய் பரவியது.
And immediately his fame spread abroad throughout all the region around Galilee.
29 ஜெப ஆலயத்தைவிட்டுப் புறப்பட்ட உடனே அவர்கள், யாக்கோபு மற்றும் யோவானுடன் சீமோன், அந்திரேயா ஆகியோரின் வீட்டிற்குள் சென்றார்கள்.
And forthwith, when they had come out of the synagogue, they entered into the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John.
30 அங்கே சீமோனுடைய மாமியார் காய்ச்சலுடன் படுக்கையில் கிடந்தாள். உடனே அவர்கள் அவளைப்பற்றி இயேசுவுக்குச் சொன்னார்கள்.
But the mother of Simon's wife lay sick with a fever; and forthwith they tell him of her.
31 எனவே இயேசு அவளிடத்தில் சென்று, அவளுடைய கையைப் பிடித்து, அவள் எழுந்துகொள்ள உதவினார். உடனே காய்ச்சல் அவளைவிட்டுப் போயிற்று; அவள் அவர்களுக்குப் பணிவிடை செய்யத் தொடங்கினாள்.
And he came and took her by the hand, and lifted her up; and immediately the fever left her, and she ministered to them.
32 அன்று மாலை கதிரவன் மறைந்தபின்பு, வியாதிப்பட்டவர்கள், பிசாசு பிடித்தவர்கள் எல்லோரையும் மக்கள் இயேசுவிடம் கொண்டுவந்தார்கள்.
And at evening, when the sun had set, they brought to him all that were diseased, and them that were possessed with demons.
33 பட்டணத்திலுள்ள அனைவரும் வீட்டு வாசலுக்கு முன்பாகக் கூடியிருந்தார்கள்.
And all the city was gathered at the door.
34 பலவித வியாதி உடையவர்களாயிருந்த அநேகரை, இயேசு குணமாக்கி, அநேக பிசாசுகளையும் துரத்தினார். அந்தப் பிசாசுகள் தம்மை யாரென்று அறிந்திருந்தபடியால், அவைகள் பேசுகிறதற்கு இயேசு அனுமதிக்கவில்லை.
And he healed many that were sick with divers diseases, and cast out many demons; and suffered not the demons to speak, because they knew him.
35 விடியுமுன் இருட்டாய் இருக்கையிலேயே இயேசு எழுந்து புறப்பட்டு ஒரு தனிமையான இடத்திற்குப் போய், அங்கே மன்றாடினார்.
And in the morning, rising a great while before day, he went out and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.
36 சீமோனும் அவனுடன் இருந்தவர்களும் அவரைத் தேடிச்சென்றார்கள்.
And Simon, and they that were with him, followed after him.
37 அவர்கள் இயேசுவைக் கண்டபோது, “எல்லோரும் உம்மைத் தேடிக்கொண்டு இருக்கிறார்களே” என்றார்கள்.
And when they had found him, they said to him, All [men] seek for thee.
38 இயேசு அவர்களிடம், “நாம் வேறுசில கிராமங்களுக்குப் போவோம்; அங்கேயும் நான் பிரசங்கிக்க வேண்டும். அதற்காகவே நான் வந்திருக்கிறேன்” என்றார்.
And he said to them, Let us go into the next towns, that I may preach there also: for, for this purpose have I come.
39 எனவே, இயேசு கலிலேயா முழுவதிலும் பயணம் செய்து, ஜெப ஆலயங்களில் நற்செய்தியை அறிவித்து, பிசாசுகளையும் துரத்தினார்.
And he preached in their synagogues throughout all Galilee, and cast out demons.
40 குஷ்டவியாதி உள்ளவன் இயேசுவினிடத்தில் வந்து முழங்காற்படியிட்டு, நீர் விரும்பினால், “என்னைச் சுத்தமாக்க உம்மால் முடியும்” என்று கெஞ்சி வேண்டிக்கொண்டான்.
And there came a leper to him, beseeching him, and kneeling down to him, and saying to him, If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.
41 இயேசு மனதுருகினவராய் தன் கையை நீட்டி அவனைத் தொட்டு, “எனக்கு சித்தமுண்டு, நீ சுத்தமடைவாயாக!” என்றார்.
And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth [his] hand, and touched him, and saith to him, I will; be thou clean.
42 உடனே குஷ்டவியாதி அவனைவிட்டு நீங்கியது, அவன் குணமடைந்தான்.
And as soon as he had spoken, immediately the leprosy departed from him, and he was cleansed.
43 இயேசு அவனுக்கு ஒரு கண்டிப்பான எச்சரிப்பைக் கொடுத்து:
And he strictly charged him, and forthwith sent him away;
44 “நீ இதை ஒருவருக்கும் சொல்லாதபடி பார்த்துக்கொள். ஆனால், நீ போய் ஆசாரியனுக்கு உன்னைக் காண்பித்து, உன்னுடைய சுத்திகரிப்புக்காக மோசே கட்டளையிட்ட பலிகளைச் செலுத்து. அது அவர்களுக்கு நீ சுகமடைந்ததற்கான ஒரு சாட்சியாய் இருக்கும்” என்று சொல்லி அவனை உடனே அனுப்பிவிட்டார்.
And saith to him, See thou say nothing to any man; but go, show thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing those things which Moses commanded, for a testimony to them.
45 ஆனால் அவன் புறப்பட்டுப்போய் தாராளமாய் பேசத்தொடங்கி, தனக்கு நடந்த செய்தியை எங்கும் பரப்பினான். இதன் காரணமாக, இயேசுவினால் ஒரு பட்டணத்திற்குள்ளும் வெளிப்படையாக செல்லமுடியாமல், வெளியே தனிமையான இடங்களிலேயே தங்கினார். ஆனால் எல்லா இடங்களிலும் இருந்து மக்கள் அவரிடத்திற்கு வந்தார்கள்.
But he went out, and began to publish [it] much, and to blaze abroad the matter, so that Jesus could no more openly enter into the city, but was without in desert places: and they came to him from every quarter.
