லூக்கா 8
1 அதற்குப் பின்பு, இயேசு பட்டணங்கள்தோறும், கிராமங்கள்தோறும் பிரயாணம் செய்து, இறைவனுடைய அரசின் நற்செய்தியைப் பிரசங்கித்தார். அந்தப் பன்னிரண்டு பேர்களும் அவருடனே சென்றார்கள்.
And it came to pass afterward, that he journeyed through cities and villages, preaching and publishing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God; and the twelve were with him,
2 தீய ஆவிகளின் பிடிகளிலிருந்தும் வியாதிகளிலிருந்தும் குணமாக்கப்பட்ட சில பெண்களுங்கூட அவருடனே சென்றார்கள். மகதலேனா என அழைக்கப்பட்ட மரியாளும் அவர்களுடன் இருந்தாள். அவளிலிருந்து ஏழு பிசாசுகள் துரத்தப்பட்டிருந்தன.
and certain women who had been cured of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary called Magdalene, out of whom had come seven demons,
3 ஏரோதுவின் வீட்டு நிர்வாகியான கூசாவின் மனைவி யோவன்னாளும் அவர்களுடன் இருந்தாள். அத்துடன் சூசன்னாளும் வேறு பலரும் இருந்தார்கள். இந்தப் பெண்கள் தங்களுடைய வருமானத்திலிருந்து இயேசுவுக்கு ஆதரவளித்து உதவி செய்தார்கள்.
and Joanna, the wife of Chuzas, Herod's steward, and Susanna, and many others, who afforded them aid from their substance.
4 பல்வேறு பட்டணங்களிலிருந்து, மக்கள் பெருங்கூட்டமாய் இயேசுவிடம் வந்து கொண்டிருந்தார்கள். அப்பொழுது இயேசு அவர்களுக்கு இந்த உவமையைச் சொன்னார்:
And a great multitude collecting together, and people from the cities going out to him, he spoke by a parable:
5 “ஒரு விவசாயி விதைகளை விதைக்கும்படி புறப்பட்டான். அவன் விதைகளைத் தூவி விதைக்கையில், சில விதைகள் பாதையருகே விழுந்தன; அவை மிதிபட்டன; ஆகாயத்துப் பறவைகள் வந்து அவற்றைக் கொத்தித் தின்றுவிட்டன.
A sower went forth to sow his seed; and as he sowed, some seeds fell by the way-side; and they were trodden down, and the birds of the air devoured them.
6 சில விதைகள் கற்பாறையின்மேல் விழுந்தன, அவை முளைத்தபோது ஈரம் இல்லாததினால், அப்பயிர்கள் வாடிப்போயின.
And others fell upon rocky ground; and when they had sprung up they withered away, because they had no moisture.
7 வேறுசில விதைகளோ முட்செடிகளின் இடையே விழுந்தன, அவை முளைத்து வளர்ந்தபோது, முட்களும்கூட வளர்ந்து பயிர்களை மூடி நெருக்கிப்போட்டன.
And others fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up with them, and choked them.
8 இன்னும் சில விதைகளோ நல்ல மண்ணில் விழுந்தன. அவை முளைத்து நூறுமடங்கு விளைச்சலைக் கொடுத்தன.” இயேசு இதைச் சொல்லி முடித்தபின்பு, சத்தமாய்க் கூப்பிட்டு, “கேட்பதற்கு காதுள்ளவன் கேட்கட்டும்” என்றார்.
And others fell upon good ground, and sprung up, and bore fruit, a hundred-fold. While saying these things, he cried aloud, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
9 பின்பு அவருடைய சீடர்கள் அவரிடம் வந்து, “இந்த உவமையின் அர்த்தம் என்ன?” என்று கேட்டார்கள்.
And his disciples asked him what this parable meant.
10 அதற்கு அவர், “இறைவனுடைய அரசின் இரகசியத்தைப் பற்றிய அறிவு உங்களுக்குக் கொடுக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறது. மற்றவர்களுக்கோ, நான் உவமைகள் மூலமாகவே பேசுகிறேன். இதனால் அவர்கள், “‘கண்டும் காணாதவர்களாகவும்; கேட்டும் விளங்கிக்கொள்ளதவர்களாகவும் இருப்பார்கள்.’
And he said, To you it hath been given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God; but to others [[these things are spoken]] in parables; that while seeing they may not see, and while hearing they may not understand.
11 “இந்த உவமையின் பொருள் இதுவே: விதை இறைவனுடைய வார்த்தை.
Now the meaning of the parable is this. The seed is the word of God.
12 பாதை ஓரத்தில் விழுந்த விதைகள், வார்த்தையைக் கேட்கும் சிலரைக் குறிக்கிறது. அவர்கள் விசுவாசித்து இரட்சிக்கப்படாதபடி சாத்தான் வந்து, அவ்வார்த்தையை அவர்களுடைய இருதயத்திலிருந்து எடுத்துப் போடுகிறான்.
Those by the way-side are they that hear; then cometh the Devil and taketh away the word from their heart, that they may not believe and be saved.
13 கற்பாறையின்மேல் விழுந்த விதைகள் வார்த்தையைக் கேட்ட வேறுசிலரைக் குறிக்கிறது. அவர்கள் அதைக் கேட்கும்போது, சந்தோஷத்துடன் ஏற்றுக்கொண்டாலும், வேரில்லாதவர்களாய் இருக்கிறார்கள். அதனால் அவர்கள் கொஞ்சக்காலம் மட்டுமே விசுவாசிக்கிறார்கள்; சோதிக்கப்படும் காலத்திலே, விழுந்து போகிறார்கள்.
Those on the rocky ground are they who, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root; and for a while they believe, and in time of temptation fall away.
14 ஆனால் முட்செடிகளுக்குள் விழுந்த விதைகள் வார்த்தையைக் கேட்ட வேறுசிலரைக் குறிக்கிறது. அவர்கள் தங்கள் வாழ்க்கையைக் குறித்த கவலைகளினாலும், செல்வங்களினாலும், சிற்றின்பங்களினாலும், மூழ்கி நெருக்கப்பட்டு, முதிர்ச்சி அடையாதிருக்கிறார்கள்.
And those seeds which fell among the thorns, these are they who, when they have heard, go away and are choked with the cares and riches and pleasures of life, and bring no fruit to perfection.
15 நல்ல நிலத்தில் விழுந்த விதைகளோ உண்மையும் நன்மையுமுள்ள இருதயம் கொண்டவர்களைக் குறிக்கிறது. அவர்கள் வார்தையைக் கேட்டு, அதைக் காத்துக்கொண்டு விடாமுயற்சியுடன் செயல்பட்டு, பலன் கொடுக்கிறார்கள்.
But the seeds on the good ground, these are they who in an honest and good heart, when they have heard the word, hold it fast, and bear fruit with constancy.
16 “யாரும் விளக்கைக் கொளுத்தி, அதை ஒரு பானைக்குள்ளோ அல்லது கட்டிலின் கீழோ மறைத்து வைப்பதில்லை. அதை உள்ளே வருகிறவர்கள் வெளிச்சத்தைக் காணும்படி ஒரு விளக்குத்தண்டின் மேலேயே வைப்பார்கள்.
And no one having lighted a lamp, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a lampstand, that those who come in may see the light.
17 எனவே, மறைக்கப்பட்டிருப்பது எதுவும் வெளியாக்கப்படாமல் போவதில்லை. ஒளித்து வைக்கப்பட்டது எதுவும் வெளியே தெரியவராமல் போவதுமில்லை.
For nothing is secret, that will not be made manifest; nor hidden, that will not be known, and come to light.
18 ஆகையால், நீங்கள் கேட்கிற விதத்தைக் குறித்து கவனமாய் இருங்கள். இருக்கிறவனுக்கு மேலும் கொடுக்கப்படும்; இல்லாதவனிடமிருந்து உள்ளதும் எடுத்துக்கொள்ளப்படும்.”
Take heed therefore how ye hear; for whoever hath, to him will be given; and whoever hath not, from him will be taken even what he seemeth to have.
19 ஒருமுறை இயேசுவின் தாயும், சகோதரர்களும் அவரைப் பார்க்கும்படி வந்தார்கள். ஆனால் மக்கள் திரளாய்க் கூடியிருந்தபடியால், அவர்களால் அவருக்கு அருகே செல்ல முடியவில்லை.
And his mother and his brothers came where he was, and could not get to him on account of the crowd.
20 அப்பொழுது ஒருவன் இயேசுவிடம் வந்து, “உமது தாயும், உமது சகோதரர்களும் உம்மைப் பார்க்க விரும்பி வெளியே நின்று கொண்டிருக்கிறார்கள்” என்றான்.
And word was brought to him, Thy mother and thy brothers stand without, desiring to see thee.
21 அதற்கு இயேசு, “இறைவனுடைய வார்த்தையைக் கேட்டு, அதன்படி நடக்கிறவர்களே என் தாயும், என் சகோதரர்களுமாய் இருக்கிறார்கள்” என்றார்.
And he answering said to them, My mother and my brothers are these, who hear the word of God, and do it.
22 ஒரு நாள் இயேசு தம்முடைய சீடர்களிடம், “ஏரியின் மறுகரைக்குப் போவோம் வாருங்கள்” என்றார். அப்படியே அவர்கள், ஒரு படகில் ஏறிப் புறப்பட்டார்கள்.
Now it came to pass on a certain day, that he went into a boat with his disciples, and said to them, Let us go over to the other side of the lake; and they put off.
23 அவர்கள் போய்க்கொண்டிருக்கையில், இயேசு தூங்கிக்கொண்டிருந்தார். அப்பொழுது புயல்காற்று ஏரியின்மேல் வீசியது. படகில் தண்ணீர் நிரம்பத் தொடங்கியதால், அவர்கள் பெரிய ஆபத்துக்கு உள்ளானார்கள்.
But as they were sailing, he fell asleep. And there came down a storm of wind on the lake, and they were filling with water, and were in jeopardy.
24 அப்போது சீடர்கள் இயேசுவிடம் வந்து, அவரை எழுப்பி, “ஆண்டவரே, ஆண்டவரே, நாங்கள் தண்ணீரில் மூழ்கப்போகிறோம்!” என்றார்கள். அவர் எழுந்து காற்றையும், கொந்தளிக்கும் தண்ணீரையும் கடிந்துகொண்டார்; புயல் தணிந்து, எல்லாம் அமைதியாயிற்று.
And they came and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we are perishing! And he rose, and rebuked the wind, and the surging of the water; and they ceased, and there was a calm.
25 அப்பொழுது அவர் தமது சீடர்களிடம், “உங்கள் விசுவாசம் எங்கே?” என்று கேட்டார். அவர்கள் ஒருவரையொருவர் பார்த்து, “இவர் யாரோ? காற்றுக்கும், கடலுக்கும் கட்டளையிடுகிறார். அவையும் அவருக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிகின்றன” என்று பயத்துடனும், வியப்புடனும் பேசிக்கொண்டார்கள்.
And he said to them, Where is your faith? And they were afraid, and wondered, saying one to another, Who then is this, that he commandeth even the winds and the water, and they obey him?
26 அவர்கள் கலிலேயா கடலின் மறுகரையிலுள்ள கதரேனருடைய நாட்டிற்குப் படகில் சென்றார்கள்.
And they sailed to the country of the Gergesenes, which is over against Galilee.
27 இயேசு கரையில் இறங்கியபோது, அந்தப் பட்டணத்திலிருந்து பிசாசு பிடித்த ஒருவன் அவருக்கு எதிர்ப்பட்டான். அவன் நீண்டகாலமாக உடைகள் உடுத்தாதவனும், வீட்டில் வாழாதவனுமாய், கல்லறைகளிலேயே தங்கியிருந்தான்.
And when he had landed, there met him a certain man out of the city who had demons, and for a long time had worn no clothes, and abode not in a house, but in the tombs.
28 அவன் இயேசுவைக் கண்டபோது, கூச்சலிட்டு, அவருடைய பாதத்தில் விழுந்தான். அவன் அவரிடம், “இயேசுவே, மகா உன்னதமான இறைவனின் மகனே, என்னிடம் உமக்கு என்ன வேண்டும்? நான் உம்மைக் கெஞ்சிக்கேட்கிறேன், என்னைத் துன்புறுத்தவேண்டாம்” என்று உரத்த குரலில் சத்தமிட்டுச் சொன்னான்.
And seeing Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and said with a loud voice, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, Son of the most high God? I beseech thee, do not torment me.
29 ஏனெனில், அவனைவிட்டு வெளியே வரும்படி, இயேசு அந்தத் தீய ஆவிக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டிருந்தார். பலமுறை அது அவனைப் பிடித்திருந்தது. அதனால் அவனுடைய கையையும், காலையும் சங்கிலியால் கட்டி, காவலில் வைத்திருந்த போதுங்கூட, அவன் சங்கிலிகளை உடைத்து எறிந்து விடுவான். அந்த தீய ஆவியினால் அவன் வனாந்திரங்களுக்குத் துரத்தப்பட்டிருந்தான்.
For he was about to command the unclean spirit to come out of the man; for it had possessed him for a long time, and he had been kept bound and secured with chains and fetters; and bursting the bands, he had been driven by the demon into the wilderness.
30 இயேசு பிசாசு பிடித்தருந்தவனை, “உனது பெயர் என்ன?” என்று கேட்டார். அவன் அதற்குப் பதிலாக, “லேகியோன்” என்றான். ஏனெனில், பல தீய ஆவிகள் அவனுக்குள் புகுந்திருந்தன.
And Jesus asked him, saying, What is thy name? And he said, Legion; because many demons had entered into him.
And they besought him not to command them to go away into the abyss. (Abyssos g12)
32 அங்கிருந்த மலைப்பகுதியில், பன்றிகள் பெருங்கூட்டமாய் மேய்ந்து கொண்டிருந்தன. பிசாசுகள் தாங்கள் அந்தப் பன்றிகளுக்குள்ளே போவதற்கு, இயேசு அனுமதிக்கவேண்டும் என்று, அவரைக் கெஞ்சிக்கேட்டன. அப்படியே அவர் அவைகளுக்கு அனுமதி கொடுத்தார்.
Now there was there a herd of many swine feeding on the mountain; and they besought him to permit them to go into them. And he permitted them.
33 பிசாசுகள், அவனைவிட்டுப் புறப்பட்டுப் பன்றிகளுக்குள்ளே புகுந்தன. அந்தப் பன்றிக்கூட்டம் உயர்ந்த மேட்டிலிருந்து கீழே பாய்ந்து, ஏரியில் விழுந்து மூழ்கியது.
And the demons coming out of the man went into the swine; and the herd rushed down the steep into the lake, and were drowned.
34 பன்றிகளை மேய்த்துக் கொண்டிருந்தவர்கள் பன்றிகளுக்கு நடந்ததைக் கண்டபோது, ஓடிப்போய் பட்டணத்தில் உள்ளவர்களுக்கும், நாட்டுப்புறத்தில் உள்ளவர்களுக்கும் அதை அறிவித்தார்கள்.
And the herdsmen, seeing what was done, fled, and told the news in the city and in the country.
35 என்ன நடந்தது என அறியும்படி, மக்கள் புறப்பட்டுப் போனார்கள். அவர்கள் இயேசுவிடம் வந்தபோது, பிசாசுகளிலிருந்து விடுதலை பெற்றவன், உடை உடுத்தி மனத்தெளிவடைந்தவனாய், இயேசுவின் பாதத்தருகே உட்கார்ந்திருப்பதைக் கண்டு பயந்தார்கள்.
And they went out to see what had been done. And they came to Jesus and found the man from whom the demons had gone out sitting, clothed, and in his right mind, at the feet of Jesus; and they were afraid.
36 சம்பவித்ததைக் கண்டவர்கள், பிசாசு பிடித்திருந்தவன் எவ்விதமாய் குணமடைந்தான் என்று அங்கு வந்த மக்களுக்குச் சொன்னார்கள்.
And they who had seen it told them how he that was possessed by demons was made well.
37 அப்பொழுது கதரேனர் நாட்டிலுள்ள மக்கள் எல்லோரும் பயமடைந்ததினால், தங்களைவிட்டுப் போய்விடும்படி இயேசுவை வேண்டிக்கொண்டார்கள். எனவே, அவர் படகில் ஏறி புறப்பட்டுப் போனார்.
And the whole multitude in the surrounding country of the Gergesenes besought him to depart from them; for they were seized with great fear. And he went on board a boat and returned.
38 பிசாசுகளிலிருந்து விடுதலை பெற்றவன், தானும் இயேசுவுடனேகூடப் போகும்படி அவரைக் கெஞ்சிக்கேட்டான். ஆனால் இயேசு
And the man out of whom the demons had gone besought him that he might be with him. But he sent him away, saying,
39 அவனிடம், “நீ உன் வீட்டிற்குத் திரும்பிப்போய், இறைவன் உனக்கு செய்ததையெல்லாம் அறிவி” என்று சொல்லி அவனை அனுப்பிவிட்டார். அப்படியே அவன் புறப்பட்டுப், பட்டணத்திலுள்ள எல்லோருக்கும் இயேசு தனக்கு எவ்வளவு பெரிய காரியத்தைச் செய்தார் என்பதைக் குறித்துச் சொன்னான்.
Return to thy house, and tell what great things God hath done for thee. And he went and published through the whole city what great things Jesus had done for him.
40 இயேசு திரும்பிவந்தபோது, அவருக்காக காத்துக்கொண்டிருந்த மக்கள் அவரை வரவேற்றனர்.
And it came to pass when Jesus returned, that the multitude welcomed him; for they were all waiting for him.
41 அப்பொழுது ஜெப ஆலயத் தலைவனான யவீரு என்னும் பெயருடைய ஒருவன் வந்து, இயேசுவின் பாதத்தில் விழுந்து, அவரைத் தன்னுடைய வீட்டிற்கு வரும்படி கெஞ்சினான்.
And lo! there came a man, named Jairus, and he was a ruler of the synagogue; and falling at the feet of Jesus, he besought him to come into his house;
42 ஏனெனில், அவனுடைய ஒரே மகளான பன்னிரண்டு வயதுடைய சிறுமி மரணத் தருவாயில் இருந்தாள். இயேசு வழியே அவனுடன் போய்க்கொண்டிருக்கையில், மக்கள் கூட்டம் அவரைச் சுற்றி நெருக்கிக் கொண்டிருந்தது.
for he had an only daughter, about twelve years of age, and she was dying. And as he went, the multitudes thronged him.
43 அக்கூட்டத்தில், பன்னிரண்டு வருடங்களாக இரத்தப்போக்கினால் வருந்திக்கொண்டிருந்த ஒரு பெண் இருந்தாள். அவள் தன் சொத்து முழுவதையும் மருத்துவரிடம் செலவழித்தும் அவளை எவராலும் குணமாக்க முடியவில்லை.
And a woman who had had an issue of blood twelve years, and had spent all her living upon physicians, and could not be cured by any one,
44 அவள் இயேசுவுக்குப் பின்னால் வந்து, அவருடைய மேலுடையின் ஓரத்தைத் தொட்டாள். உடனே அவளுடைய இரத்தப்போக்கு நின்றது.
came up behind and touched the fringe of his garment; and immediately her issue of blood ceased.
45 அப்பொழுது இயேசு, “என்னைத் தொட்டது யார்?” என்று கேட்டார். அனைவரும் மறுத்தனர். அப்போது, பேதுரு அவரிடம், “ஐயா, மக்கள் கூட்டமாய்க் கூடி உம்மை நெருக்கிக் கொண்டிருக்கிறார்களே” என்றான்.
And Jesus said, Who touched me? And when all denied it, Peter and those with him said, Master, the multitudes are thronging thee, and pressing against thee.
46 ஆனால் இயேசுவோ, “யாரோ ஒருவர் என்னைத் தொட்டிருக்கிறார்; என்னிலிருந்து வல்லமை புறப்பட்டதை நான் அறிவேன்” என்றார்.
But Jesus said, Some one touched me; for I perceived that power went out from me.
47 அப்பொழுது அந்தப் பெண், தான் மறைந்திருக்க முடியாதென்று கண்டு, நடுங்கிக்கொண்டுவந்து, அவருடைய பாதத்தில் விழுந்தாள். அவள் எல்லா மக்களுக்கு முன்பாகவும், தான் அவரைத் தொட்ட காரணத்தையும், தான் உடனே குணமடைந்ததையும் அறிவித்தாள்.
And the woman, seeing that she was discovered, came trembling, and falling down before him declared before all the people for what cause she had touched him, and how she was cured immediately.
48 அப்பொழுது இயேசு அவளிடம், “மகளே, உன் விசுவாசம் உன்னை குணப்படுத்தியது. சமாதானத்தோடே போ” என்றார்.
And he said to her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee well; go in peace.
49 இயேசு இன்னும் பேசிக்கொண்டிருக்கையில், ஜெப ஆலயத் தலைவன் யவீருவின் வீட்டில் இருந்து ஒருவன் வந்தான். அவன் யவீருவிடம், “உமது மகள் இறந்துவிட்டாள். இனிமேலும் போதகரைத் தொந்தரவு செய்யவேண்டாம்” என்றான்.
While he was yet speaking, there cometh one from the house of the ruler of the synagogue, saying, Thy daughter is dead; trouble not the Teacher any further.
50 இயேசு இதைக் கேட்டதும் யவீருவிடம், “பயப்படாதே; விசுவாசமுள்ளவனாய் மட்டும் இரு. அவள் பிழைப்பாள்” என்றார்.
But Jesus hearing this, answered him, Fear not; only believe, and she will be made well.
51 அவர் யவீருவினுடைய வீட்டிற்கு வந்து சேர்ந்தபோது, பேதுரு, யோவான், யாக்கோபு ஆகியோருடன், அந்தப் பிள்ளையின் தகப்பனையும் தாயையும் தவிர, வேறு ஒருவரையும் தன்னுடன் உள்ளே போக அவர் அனுமதிக்கவில்லை.
And going into the house, he suffered no one to go in with him but Peter and John and James, and the father of the maiden, and the mother.
52 இதற்கிடையில், அங்கிருந்த மக்களெல்லாரும் இறந்த சிறுமிக்காக அழுது புலம்பிக் கொண்டிருந்தார்கள். இயேசு அவர்களிடம், “அழாதீர்கள். இவள் இறந்து போகவில்லை, தூங்குகிறாள்” என்றார்.
And all were weeping, and lamenting for her. But he said, Weep not; she is not dead, but sleeping.
53 அவள் இறந்துபோனதை அறிந்திருந்த மக்கள், அவரைப் பார்த்து நகைத்தார்கள்.
And they laughed him to scorn, knowing that she was dead.
54 ஆனால் இயேசு அவளுடைய கையைப் பிடித்து, “பிள்ளையே, எழுந்திரு!” என்றார்.
But he took hold of her hand, and called aloud, saying, Maiden, arise!
55 அப்பொழுது, அவளுடைய உயிர் திரும்பவும் வந்தது. உடனே அவள் எழுந்து உட்கார்ந்தாள். இயேசு அவர்களிடம், அவளுக்குச் சாப்பிட ஏதாவது கொடுக்கும்படி சொன்னார்.
And her spirit returned, and she immediately arose. And he ordered food to be given to her.
56 அவளுடைய பெற்றோர்கள் வியப்படைந்தார்கள். இயேசு அவர்களிடம், “நடந்த சம்பவத்தை யாருக்கும் சொல்லவேண்டாம்” என்று கட்டளையிட்டார்.
And her parents were amazed. But he charged them to tell no one what had been done.
