லூக்கா 18
1 அதற்குப் பின்பு இயேசு, தமது சீடர்கள் மனந்தளர்ந்து போகாமல், எப்போதும் மன்றாடுகிறவர்களாய் இருக்கவேண்டும் என்பதைக்குறித்து காண்பிப்பதற்காக, அவர்களுக்கு ஒரு உவமையைச் சொன்னார்:
And he spake also a parable vnto them, to this ende, that they ought alwayes to pray, and not to waxe faint,
2 “ஒரு பட்டணத்திலே ஒரு நீதிபதி இருந்தான். அவன் இறைவனுக்குப் பயப்படாதவன். மக்களையும் மதியாதவன்.
Saying, There was a iudge in a certaine citie, which feared not God, neither reuereced man.
3 அந்தப் பட்டணத்திலே ஒரு விதவையும் இருந்தாள். அவள் தொடர்ந்து அவனிடம் வந்து, ‘எனது விரோதிக்கு எதிராக எனக்கு நீதி வழங்குங்கள்’ என்று அவனைக் கெஞ்சிக் கேட்டாள்.
And there was a widowe in that citie, which came vnto him, saying, Doe mee iustice against mine aduersarie.
4 “கொஞ்சக்காலம் அவன் அப்படிச் செய்ய மறுத்தான். இறுதியாக அவன், ‘நான் இறைவனுக்குப் பயப்படாதவனாகவும், மனிதனை மதிக்காதவனாகவும் இருந்துங்கூட,
And hee would not of a long time: but afterward he said with himselfe, Though I feare not God, nor reuerence man,
5 இந்த விதவை தொடர்ந்து எனக்குத் தொந்தரவு கொடுக்கிறாள்; அதனால், நான் அவளுக்கு நீதி வழங்குவேன். அப்பொழுது அவள் இப்படித் தொடர்ந்து வந்து, என்னைத் தொந்தரவு செய்யமாட்டாள்’ என்று, தனக்குள்ளே சொல்லிக்கொண்டான்” என்றார்.
Yet because this widowe troubleth mee, I will doe her right, lest at the last shee come and make me wearie.
6 பின்பு கர்த்தர், “அந்த அநீதியுள்ள நீதிபதி சொன்னதைச் சிந்தித்துப் பாருங்கள்!
And the Lord said, Heare what the vnrighteous iudge saith.
7 அந்தப்படியே, தம்மை நோக்கி இரவும் பகலும் கூப்பிடும், தம்மால் தெரிந்துகொள்ளப்பட்ட மக்களுக்கு, இறைவன் நீதியை வழங்காதிருப்பாரோ? அவர் நீதி வழங்கத் தாமதிப்பாரோ?
Now shall not God auenge his elect, which cry day and night vnto him, yea, though he suffer long for them?
8 நான் உங்களுக்குச் சொல்கிறேன், அவர்களுக்கு இறைவன் சீக்கிரமாகவே நீதி வழங்குவார். ஆனால் மானிடமகனாகிய நான் வரும்போது, பூமியிலே விசுவாசத்தைக் காண்பேனோ?” என்றார்.
I tell you he will auenge them quickly: but when the Sonne of man commeth, shall he finde faith on the earth?
9 தாங்கள் நீதிமான்கள் என்று நினைத்துக்கொண்டு, மற்றவர்கள் எல்லோரையும் கீழ்த்தரமாய் எண்ணிய சிலரைக் குறித்து, இயேசு இந்த உவமையைச் சொன்னார்:
He spake also this parable vnto certaine which trusted in themselues that they were iust, and despised other.
10 “இரண்டுபேர் மன்றாடும்படி ஆலயத்திற்குச் சென்றார்கள். அதில் ஒருவன் பரிசேயன், மற்றவன் வரி வசூலிப்பவன்.
Two men went vp into the Temple to pray: the one a Pharise, and the other a Publican.
11 அந்தப் பரிசேயன் நின்றுகொண்டு: ‘இறைவனே, நான் மற்றவர்களைப்போல் இராதபடியினால், உமக்கு நன்றி செலுத்துகிறேன். நான் கள்வர்களையோ, தீமை செய்கிறவர்களையோ, விபசாரக்காரரையோ அல்லது இந்த வரி வசூலிக்கிறவனைப் போன்றவன் அல்ல.
The Pharise stoode and prayed thus with himselfe, O God, I thanke thee that I am not as other men, extortioners, vniust, adulterers, or euen as this Publican.
12 நான் வாரத்தில் இரண்டுமுறை உபவாசிக்கிறேன், எனது வருமானத்திலெல்லாம் பத்திலொன்றை கொடுக்கிறேன்’ என்று, தனக்குத்தானே சொல்லி மன்றாடினான்.
I fast twise in the weeke: I giue tithe of all that euer I possesse.
13 “ஆனால், வரி வசூலிப்பவனோ தூரமாய் நின்று வானத்தை நோக்கிப் பார்க்கவும் துணியாமல், அவன் தன் மார்பில் அடித்துக்கொண்டு, ‘இறைவனே, பாவியாகிய என்மேல் இரக்கம் காட்டும்’ என மன்றாடினான்.
But the Publican standing a farre off, woulde not lift vp so much as his eyes to heauen, but smote his brest, saying, O God, be mercifull to me a sinner.
14 “நான் உங்களுக்குச் சொல்கிறேன், அவன் அல்ல, இவனே இறைவனுடைய பார்வையில் நீதிமானாகத் தீர்க்கப்பட்டு, தன் வீட்டிற்குத் திரும்பிச்சென்றான். ஏனெனில், தன்னைத்தான் உயர்த்துகிற எவனும் தாழ்த்தப்படுவான், தன்னைத்தான் தாழ்த்துகிறவன் உயர்த்தப்படுவான்.”
I tell you, this man departed to his house iustified, rather then the other: for euery man that exalteth himselfe, shall be brought lowe, and he that humbleth himselfe, shalbe exalted.
15 குழந்தைகள்மேல் இயேசு கைகளை வைக்கவேண்டும் என்பதற்காக, மக்கள் குழந்தைகளை இயேசுவிடம் கொண்டுவந்தார்கள். இதைச் சீடர்கள் கண்டபோது, அவர்கள் மக்களைக் கண்டித்தார்கள்.
They brought vnto him also babes that he should touche them. And when his disciples sawe it, they rebuked them.
16 இயேசுவோ, பிள்ளைகளைத் தம்மிடம் வரவேற்று சீடர்களுக்கு, “சிறுபிள்ளைகளை என்னிடம் வரவிடுங்கள். அவர்களைத் தடுக்கவேண்டாம். ஏனெனில், இறைவனுடைய அரசு இப்படிப்பட்டவர்களுக்கே உரியது.
But Iesus called them vnto him, and said, Suffer the babes to come vnto mee, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdome of God.
17 நான் உங்களுக்கு உண்மையைச் சொல்கிறேன், சிறுபிள்ளையைப்போல் இறைவனுடைய அரசை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளாத ஒருவன், அதற்குள் ஒருபோதும் செல்லமாட்டான்” என்றார்.
Verely I say vnto you, whosoeuer receiueth not the kingdome of God as a babe, he shall not enter therein.
18 அப்பொழுது தலைவன் ஒருவன் அவரிடம், “நல்ல போதகரே, நித்திய வாழ்வை உரிமையாகப் பெறுவதற்கு, நான் என்ன செய்யவேண்டும்?” என்று கேட்டான். (aiōnios g166)
Then a certaine ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what ought I to doe, to inherite eternall life? (aiōnios g166)
19 அதற்கு இயேசு, “நீ ஏன் என்னை நல்லவர் என்று அழைக்கிறாய்? இறைவன் ஒருவரைத் தவிர, வேறு யாரும் நல்லவர் இல்லையே.
And Iesus said vnto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good, saue one, euen God.
20 ‘விபசாரம் செய்யாதே, கொலை செய்யாதே, களவு செய்யாதே, பொய்சாட்சி சொல்லாதே, உன் தகப்பனையும் தாயையும் மதித்து நட’ என்ற கட்டளைகளை நீ அறிந்திருக்கிறாயே” என்றார்.
Thou knowest the comandements, Thou shalt not commit adulterie: Thou shalt not kill: Thou shalt not steale: Thou shalt not beare false witnes: Honour thy father and thy mother.
21 அதற்கு அவன், “என் சிறுவயதுமுதல், இவற்றையெல்லாம் செய்துகொண்டு இருக்கிறேன்” என்றான்.
And hee saide, All these haue I kept from my youth.
22 இயேசு இதைக் கேட்டபோது, “உன்னிடம் இன்னும் ஒரு குறைபாடு இருக்கிறது. உன்னிடம் உள்ள எல்லாவற்றையும் விற்று ஏழைகளுக்குக் கொடு. அப்பொழுது, பரலோகத்தில் உனக்கு செல்வம் இருக்கும். பின்பு வந்து என்னைப் பின்பற்று” என்றார்.
Nowe when Iesus heard that, he saide vnto him, Yet lackest thou one thing. Sell all that euer thou hast, and distribute vnto the poore, and thou shalt haue treasure in heauen, and come follow mee.
23 அவன் இதைக் கேட்டபோது மிகவும் துக்கமடைந்தான். ஏனெனில், அவன் மிகுந்த செல்வமுடையவனாய் இருந்தான்.
But when he heard those things, he was very heauie: for he was marueilous riche.
24 இயேசு அவனைப் பார்த்து, “பணக்காரன் இறைவனுடைய அரசிற்குள் போவது எவ்வளவு கடினமானது!
And when Iesus sawe him very sorowfull, he said, With what difficultie shall they that haue riches, enter into the kingdome of God!
25 பணக்காரன் ஒருவன் இறைவனுடைய அரசுக்குள் செல்வதைப் பார்க்கிலும், ஒரு ஒட்டகம் ஊசியின் காதினுள் நுழைவது இலகுவாயிருக்கும்” என்றார்.
Surely it is easier for a camel to go through a needles eye, then for a riche man to enter into the kingdome of God.
26 இதைக் கேட்டவர்களோ, “அப்படியானால், யார்தான் இரட்சிக்கப்பட முடியும்?” என்று கேட்டார்கள்.
Then said they that heard it, And who then can be saued?
27 அதற்கு இயேசு, “மனிதரால் செய்ய முடியாதவற்றை, இறைவனால் செய்யமுடியும்” என்றார்.
And he said, The things which are vnpossible with men, are possible with God.
28 அப்பொழுது பேதுரு அவரிடம், “உம்மைப் பின்பற்றுவதற்காக, எங்களிடம் உள்ளதையெல்லாம் விட்டுவிட்டு நாங்கள் வந்தோமே” என்றான்.
Then Peter said, Loe, we haue left all, and haue followed thee.
29 அதற்கு இயேசு அவர்களிடம், “நான் உங்களுக்கு உண்மையைச் சொல்கிறேன், யாராவது இறைவனுடைய அரசின் நிமித்தம் வீட்டையோ, மனைவியையோ, சகோதரர்களையோ, பெற்றோரையோ, பிள்ளைகளையோ விட்டுவிட்டிருந்தால்,
And he said vnto them, Verely I say vnto you, there is no man that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children for the kingdome of Gods sake,
31 இயேசு பன்னிரண்டு சீடர்களையும் ஒரு பக்கமாய் அழைத்துக் கொண்டுபோய் அவர்களிடம், “நாம் எருசலேமுக்குப் போகிறோம், மானிடமகனாகிய என்னைப்பற்றி இறைவாக்கினர்களால் எழுதப்பட்டிருக்கின்ற எல்லாம் நிறைவேறும்.
Then Iesus tooke vnto him ye twelue, and said vnto them, Beholde, we goe vp to Hierusalem, and all things shalbe fulfilled to the Sonne of man, that are writttn by the Prophets.
32 மானிடமகனாகிய நான் யூதரல்லாதவர்களிடம் ஒப்படைக்கப்படுவேன். அவர்கள் என்னை ஏளனம் செய்து, அவமதித்து, என்மேல் துப்புவார்கள். என்னைச் சவுக்கால் அடித்து, என்னைக் கொலைசெய்வார்கள்.
For he shall be deliuered vnto the Gentiles, and shalbe mocked, and shalbe spitefully entreated, and shalbe spitted on.
33 ஆனால் மூன்றாம் நாளிலே, நான் உயிரோடு எழுந்திருப்பேன்” என்று சொன்னார்.
And when they haue scourged him, they will put him to death: but the thirde day hee shall rise againe.
34 சீடர்களோ, இவைகளில் ஒன்றையுமே விளங்கிக்கொள்ளவில்லை. இயேசு சொன்னதின் அர்த்தம் அவர்களிடமிருந்து மறைக்கப்பட்டிருந்தது. அவர் எதைக்குறித்துப் பேசுகிறாரென்றுகூட அவர்கள் அறிந்துகொள்ளவில்லை.
But they vnderstood none of these things, and this saying was hidde from them, neither perceiued they the things, which were spoken.
35 இயேசு எரிகோவுக்கு அருகில் வந்துகொண்டிருக்கையில், பார்வையற்ற ஒருவன் வீதி ஓரத்தில் உட்கார்ந்து பிச்சை கேட்டுக்கொண்டிருந்தான்.
And it came to passe, that as he was come neere vnto Iericho, a certaine blinde man sate by the way side, begging.
36 மக்கள் கூட்டமாக செல்லுகின்ற சத்தத்தை அவன் கேட்டு, என்ன நிகழ்கிறது என்று விசாரித்தான்.
And when he heard the people passe by, he asked what it meant.
37 நாசரேத்தைச் சேர்ந்த இயேசு, அவ்வழியாய் போகிறாரென்று அவனுக்குச் சொன்னார்கள்.
And they saide vnto him, that Iesus of Nazareth passed by.
38 உடனே அவன், “இயேசுவே, தாவீதின் மகனே, என்மேல் இரக்கமாயிரும்” என்று சத்தமாய் கூப்பிட்டான்.
Then hee cried, saying, Iesus the Sonne of Dauid, haue mercie on me.
39 முன்னே சென்றுக் கொண்டிருந்தவர்கள் அவன் சத்தமிடாதிருக்கும்படி அவனை அதட்டினார்கள். ஆனால் அவனோ, இன்னும் அதிக சத்தமாய், “இயேசுவே, தாவீதின் மகனே, என்மேல் இரக்கமாயிரும்” என்று, கூப்பிட்டான்.
And they which went before, rebuked him that he shoulde holde his peace, but he cried much more, O Sone of Dauid, haue mercie on me.
40 இயேசு நின்று, அவனைத் தம்மிடத்தில் கொண்டுவரும்படி உத்தரவிட்டார். அவன் அருகில் வந்தபொழுது, இயேசு அவனிடம்,
And Iesus stoode stil, and commanded him to be brought vnto him. And when he was come neere, he asked him,
41 “நான் உனக்கு என்ன செய்யவேண்டுமென்று நீ விரும்புகிறாய்?” என்று, கேட்டார். அதற்கு அவன், “ஆண்டவரே, நான் பார்வை பெறவிரும்புகிறேன்” என்றான்.
Saying, What wilt thou that I doe vnto thee? And he said, Lord, that I may receiue my sight.
42 இயேசு அவனிடம், “நீ பார்வையைப் பெற்றுக்கொள்; உன் விசுவாசம் உன்னை நலமாக்கிற்று” என்றார்.
And Iesus said vnto him, Receiue thy sight: thy faith hath saued thee.
43 உடனே, அவன் பார்வை பெற்று இறைவனைத் துதித்துக்கொண்டு, இயேசுவைப் பின்பற்றிச் சென்றான். இதைக் கண்ட எல்லா மக்களும் இறைவனைத் துதித்தார்கள்.
Then immediatly he receiued his sight, and followed him, praysing God: and all the people, when they sawe this, gaue praise to God.
