லூக்கா 1
1 மதிப்புக்குரிய தெயோப்பிலுவே, நமது மத்தியில் நிறைவேறிய நிகழ்வுகளின் விவரத்தை ஒழுங்காக எழுத, அநேகர் முன்வந்தார்கள்.
Whereas many have undertaken to compose a narrative of the things, which have been fully certified among us;
2 துவக்கத்திலிருந்து கண்கண்ட சாட்சிகளாகவும், வார்த்தையை அறிவிக்கும் ஊழியர்களாகவும் இருந்த அவர்கள், எங்களுக்குக் கொடுக்கப்பட்டபடியே எழுதினார்கள்.
as they delivered them to us, who were from the beginning eye-witnesses of them, and ministers of the word;
3 நானும் உமக்கு அவற்றை ஒழுங்காக எழுதுவதற்குத் தீர்மானித்தேன். துவக்கத்திலிருந்து நடந்த எல்லாவற்றையும் கவனமாய் விசாரித்தறிந்து, இதை எழுதுகிறேன்.
it seemed good to me also, having thoroughly traced them all from the very first, to write an account of them in order to thee,
4 இதனால் உமக்குப் போதிக்கப்பட்ட விஷயங்கள் நிச்சயமாக உண்மையானவை என்பதை நீர் அறிந்துகொள்ளலாம்.
most excellent Theophilus, that thou mayst know the certainty of the things wherein thou hast been instructed.
5 ஏரோது அரசன் யூதேயாவை ஆட்சி செய்த காலத்தில், சகரியா என்னும் பெயருடைய ஒரு ஆசாரியன் இருந்தான். இவன் அபியாவின் ஆசாரியப் பிரிவைச் சேர்ந்தவன். இவனுடைய மனைவி எலிசபெத்தும், ஆசாரியனாகிய ஆரோனின் சந்ததியைச் சேர்ந்தவள்.
There was in the days of Herod king of Judea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia; and his wife was of the family of Aaron, and her name was Elisabeth.
6 அவர்கள் இருவரும் இறைவனின் பார்வையில் நீதிமான்களாக இருந்தார்கள். மற்றவர்களால் குற்றஞ்சாட்டப்பட இடமில்லாமல், கர்த்தருடைய எல்லாக் கட்டளைகளையும் ஒழுங்குவிதிகளையும் கைக்கொண்டார்கள்.
And they were both righteous in the sight of God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.
7 ஆனாலும் எலிசபெத் மலடியாக இருந்ததினால், அவர்களுக்குப் பிள்ளையில்லாதிருந்தது; அவர்கள் இருவரும், இப்பொழுது வயது சென்றவர்களாய் இருந்தார்கள்.
And they had no child, for Elisabeth was barren; and they were both far advanced in years.
8 ஒருமுறை அபியாவின் பிரிவை சேர்ந்தவர்கள், ஆலயத்தில் பணிபுரிந்தபோது, சகரியாவும் இறைவனுக்கு முன்பாக ஆசாரியப் பணியைச் செய்தான்.
And it came to pass, while he was in the order of his course performing the priest's office before God,
9 ஒரு நாள் ஆசாரியர்களின் வழக்கத்தின்படி கடமைகளைச் செய்வதற்கு சீட்டு போட்டபோது, கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்திற்குள் போய் தூபங்காட்டும் பணியைச் செய்வதற்கு சகரியா தெரிந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டான்.
according to the custom of dividing the office of the priests, that it fell to his lot to burn incense, entring into the temple of the Lord:
10 தூபங்காட்டும் வேளை வந்தபோது வழிபாட்டிற்கு கூடிவந்த மக்கள் வெளியே மன்றாடிக்கொண்டிருந்தார்கள்.
and all the people were praying without at the time of offering incense.
11 அப்பொழுது கர்த்தரின் தூதன் ஒருவன், தூபபீடத்தின் வலதுபக்கத்திலே நின்று சகரியாவுக்குக் காட்சியளித்தான்.
And there appeared to him an angel of the Lord standing on the right hand of the altar of incense.
12 சகரியா அவனைக் கண்டு திடுக்கிட்டுப் பயந்தான்.
And when Zacharias saw him, he was startled and struck with fear:
13 அந்தத் தூதனோ அவனைப் பார்த்து: “சகரியாவே, பயப்படாதே; உனது மன்றாட்டு கேட்கப்பட்டது. உனது மனைவி எலிசபெத் உனக்கு ஒரு மகனைப் பெறுவாள், நீ அவனுக்கு யோவான் என்று பெயரிட வேண்டும்.
but the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias; for thy prayer is heard, and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John:
14 அவன் உனக்கு மகிழ்ச்சியும் மனக்களிப்புமாய் இருப்பான். அவனுடைய பிறப்பின் நிமித்தம், அநேகர் பெருமகிழ்ச்சியடைவார்கள்;
and he shall be a joy and transport to thee, yea, many shall rejoice on account of his birth; for he shall be great in the sight of the Lord,
15 அவன் கர்த்தருடைய பார்வையில் பெரியவனாயிருப்பான். அவன் ஒருபோதும் திராட்சை இரசத்தையோ, மதுபானத்தையோ அருந்த மாட்டான், அவன் தனது தாயின் வயிற்றில் இருக்கும்போதே பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவரால் நிரப்பப்படுவான்.
and he shall drink neither wine nor any other strong liquor; and he shall be filled with the holy Spirit even from his birth;
16 அவன் இஸ்ரயேல் மக்களில் பலரை அவர்களுடைய இறைவனாகிய கர்த்தரிடத்திற்குத் திரும்பவும் கொண்டுவருவான்.
and many of the children of Israel shall he convert unto the Lord their God.
17 அவன் எலியாவின் ஆவியோடும் வல்லமையோடும் கர்த்தருக்கு முன்பாகப் போவான்; தந்தையரின் இருதயத்தைப் பிள்ளைகள் பக்கமாகத் திருப்புவான், கீழ்ப்படியாதவர்களை நீதிமான்களுடைய ஞானத்திற்குத் திருப்புவான். இவ்விதமாய் கர்த்தருக்காக முன்னேற்பாடு செய்திருக்கிற மக்களை அவன் ஆயத்தம் செய்வான்” என்றான்.
And he shall go before Him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers unto the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just, to prepare for the Lord a people well-disposed.
18 அப்பொழுது சகரியா அந்தத் தூதனிடம், “இது நடக்கும் என்று நான் எப்படி நம்பலாம்? நான் கிழவனாய் இருக்கிறேன், என் மனைவியும் வயது சென்றவளாய் இருக்கிறாளே” என்றான்.
And Zacharias said unto the angel, Whereby shall I know this? for I am an old man, and my wife far advanced in years.
19 அதற்கு அந்தத் தூதன், “நான் இறைவனின் சமுகத்தில் நிற்கின்ற காபிரியேல்; உன்னுடன் பேசுவதற்காகவும், இந்த நற்செய்தியை உனக்கு அறிவிப்பதற்காகவும் நான் அனுப்பப்பட்டிருக்கிறேன்.
And the angel answering said to him, I am Gabriel, that stand in the presence of God, and I am sent to speak to thee, and to tell thee this good news:
20 நீயோ எனது வார்த்தைகளை நம்பவில்லை, ஆதலால் இவை நிகழும் நாள்வரைக்கும் நீ பேச முடியாமல் ஊமையாயிருப்பாய்; நான் சொன்னவையோ நியமித்த காலத்தில் நிறைவேறும்” என்றான்.
and now shalt thou be dumb, and not able to speak, until the day that these things shall come to pass; because thou believedst not my words, which shall be fulfilled at their season.
21 அதேவேளையில், சகரியாவின் வருகைக்காக வெளியே காத்துக்கொண்டிருந்த மக்கள், அவன் ஏன் ஆலயத்தில் நீண்ட நேரமாய் இருக்கிறான் என யோசிக்கத் தொடங்கினார்கள்.
And the people were waiting for Zacharias, and wondered at his staying so long in the temple:
22 அவன் வெளியே வந்தபோது, அவர்களோடு பேச அவனால் முடியவில்லை. அவன் அவர்களுக்கு சைகை காட்டியதால், அவன் ஆலயத்தில் ஒரு தரிசனத்தைக் கண்டிருக்கிறான் என்று அவர்கள் அறிந்துகொண்டார்கள். ஆனால் அவன் பேசமுடியாதவனாகவே இருந்தான்.
but when he came out he could not speak to them, and they perceived that he had seen a vision in the temple; and he made signs to them, and continued speechless:
23 அவனது பணிசெய்யும் காலம் முடிவடைந்தபோது, அவன் தன் வீட்டிற்குத் திரும்பிப்போனான்.
and as soon as the days of his ministration were accomplished, he departed to his own house.
24 இந்த நாட்களுக்குப்பின் அவன் மனைவி எலிசபெத் கருத்தரித்தாள், அவள் ஐந்து மாதங்களாக பிறர் கண்களில் படாதிருந்தாள்.
And after these days his wife Elisabeth conceived, and retired five months,
25 அப்பொழுது அவள், “கர்த்தரே இதைச் செய்தார், இந்த நாட்களில் அவர் எனக்குத் தயவுகாட்டி, என் மக்களிடையே எனக்கிருந்த அவமானத்தை நீக்கிவிட்டார்” என்றாள்.
saying, the Lord hath thus dealt with me in the days wherein he looked upon me to take away my reproach among men.
26 ஆறாம் மாதத்தில், கலிலேயாவிலுள்ள நாசரேத் என்னும் ஒரு பட்டணத்திற்கு இறைவன் காபிரியேல் தூதனை,
But in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee called Nazareth,
27 ஒரு கன்னிகையிடம் அனுப்பினார்; அவள் தாவீதின் சந்ததியானாகிய யோசேப்பு என்னும் பெயருள்ள ஒருவனுக்கு திருமணம் செய்ய நிச்சயிக்கப்பட்டிருந்தாள். அந்தக் கன்னிகையின் பெயர் மரியாள்.
to a virgin who was betrothed to a man, whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the name of the virgin was Mary.
28 கர்த்தருடைய தூதன் அவளிடம் போய், “மிகவும் தயவு பெற்றவளே வாழ்க! கர்த்தர் உன்னுடன் இருக்கிறார்” என்றான்.
And when the angel came in to the room to her, he said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured; the Lord is with thee;
29 தூதன் சொன்ன வார்த்தையைக் கேட்ட மரியாள் மிகவும் கலக்கமடைந்து, இந்த வாழ்த்துதல் எத்தகையதோ என்று யோசிக்கத் தொடங்கினாள்.
blessed art thou among women! and when she saw him, she was confused at what he said, and pondered in her mind what sort of salutation this could be.
30 ஆனால் அந்தத் தூதன் அவளிடம், “மரியாளே, பயப்படாதே! நீ இறைவனிடத்தில் தயவு பெற்றிருக்கிறாய்.
And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary; for thou hast found favor with God:
31 நீ கருத்தரித்து ஒரு மகனைப் பெற்றெடுப்பாய், அவருக்கு இயேசு என்று பெயரிட வேண்டும்.
and behold thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and shalt bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS:
32 அவர் பெரியவராயிருப்பார், மகா உன்னதமானவரின் மகன் என அழைக்கப்படுவார். அவருடைய தந்தையாகிய தாவீதின் அரியணையை இறைவனாகிய கர்த்தர் அவருக்குக் கொடுப்பார்.
He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Most High, and the Lord God shall give Him the throne of David his father,
33 அவர் யாக்கோபின் குடும்பத்தாரை என்றென்றும் ஆட்சி செய்வார்; அவருடைய அரசு ஒருபோதும் முடிவுபெறாது” என்றான். (aiōn g165)
and He shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever, and of his kingdom there shall be no end. (aiōn g165)
34 அப்பொழுது மரியாள் அந்தத் தூதனிடம், “இது எப்படியாகும், நான் கன்னியாய் இருக்கிறேனே?” என்றாள்.
Then said Mary to the angel, How can this be, since I am a virgin?
35 அதற்கு தூதன், “பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவர் உன்மேல் வருவார், மகா உன்னதமானவரின் வல்லமை உன்மேல் நிழலிடும். எனவே பிறக்கும் பரிசுத்த குழந்தை இறைவனின் மகன் என அழைக்கப்படுவார்.
And the angel answered and said unto her, The holy Spirit shall come upon thee, and the power of the Most High shall overshadow thee, and therefore thine holy offspring shall be called the Son of God: and lo,
36 உனது உறவினராகிய எலிசபெத்தும் தனது முதிர்வயதில் ஒரு குழந்தையைப் பெற இருக்கிறாள். மலடி எனப்பட்டவள் இப்பொழுது கருத்தரித்து ஆறு மாதங்களாகின்றன.
thy cousin Elisabeth also hath conceived a son in her old age, and this is the sixth month with her that was called barren;
37 இறைவனால் செய்ய முடியாதது ஒன்றும் இல்லை” என்றான்.
for nothing is impossible with God.
38 அதற்கு மரியாள், “இதோ நான் கர்த்தரின் அடிமை; நீர் சொன்னபடியே எனக்கு நடக்கட்டும்” என்றாள். அப்பொழுது கர்த்தருடைய தூதன் அவளைவிட்டுப் போனான்.
Then Mary said, Behold the servant of the Lord, may it be unto me according to thy word. So the angel departed from her.
39 அந்நாட்களில் மரியாள் புறப்பட்டு யூதேயாவின் மலைநாட்டிலுள்ள ஒரு பட்டணத்திற்கு விரைவாகப் போனாள்;
Then Mary arose and went with speed into the hill-country, to a city of Juda,
40 அங்கே அவள் சகரியாவின் வீட்டிற்குள் போய், எலிசபெத்தை வாழ்த்தினாள்.
and came into the house of Zacharias, and saluted Elisabeth.
41 மரியாளுடைய வாழ்த்துதலை எலிசபெத் கேட்டபோது, அவளுடைய கருப்பையில் இருந்த குழந்தை துள்ளியது. அப்பொழுது எலிசபெத் பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவரால் நிரப்பப்பட்டு,
And as soon as Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the child leaped in her womb, and Elisabeth was filled with the holy Spirit:
42 உரத்த குரலில் சொன்னதாவது: “நீ பெண்களுக்குள்ளே ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்பட்டவள். நீ பெற்றெடுக்கப்போகும் பிள்ளையும் ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்பட்டது!
and she cried out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb:
43 என் கர்த்தரின் தாய் என்னிடம் வருவதற்கு, நான் இவ்வளவாய் தயவுபெற்றேன்.
and whence is this honor to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?
44 உனது வாழ்த்துதலின் சத்தம் எனது காதில்பட்டதுமே, எனது கருப்பையில் இருக்கும் குழந்தை மகிழ்ச்சியினால் துள்ளிற்று.
for behold, as soon as the voice of thy salutation reached my ears, the child in my womb leaped for joy:
45 கர்த்தர் தனக்குச் சொன்னது நிறைவேறும் என்று விசுவாசித்தவள் ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்பட்டவளே!” என்றாள்.
and blessed is she that believed; for there shall be a performance of the things that were told her from the Lord.
46 அப்பொழுது மரியாள் சொன்னதாவது: “என் ஆத்துமா கர்த்தரை மகிமைப்படுத்துகிறது,
And Mary said, "My soul doth magnify the Lord, and my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour;
47 என் ஆவி என் இரட்சகராகிய இறைவனில் பெருமகிழ்ச்சியடைகிறது.
for He hath regarded the low estate of his handmaid:
48 ஏனெனில், அவர் தமது அடிமையின் தாழ்மை நிலையைத் தயவுடன் பார்த்தார். இப்பொழுதிலிருந்து எல்லாத் தலைமுறையினரும் என்னை ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்பட்டவள் என்று அழைப்பார்கள்;
for behold, from henceforth shall all generations call me blessed:
49 வல்லமையுள்ளவர் எனக்கு அரும்பெரும் காரியங்களைச் செய்தார்; பரிசுத்தர் என்பது அவருடைய பெயர்.
for He that is mighty hath done great things for me,
50 அவருக்குப் பயப்படுகிறவர்களுக்கு, தலைமுறை தலைமுறையாக அவர் இரக்கம் காண்பிக்கிறார்.
and his name is holy, and his mercy is on them that fear Him, unto all generations.
51 அவர் தமது புயத்தினால் வல்லமையான செயல்களை நிறைவேற்றினார்; தங்களுடைய உள்ளத்தில் அகந்தையான நினைவு கொண்டவர்களை அவர் சிதறடித்தார்.
He hath wrought powerfully with his arm; He hath confounded those that were proud in the imagination of their heart.
52 ஆளுநர்களை அவர்களுடைய அரியணைகளில் இருந்து கீழே வீழ்த்தினார். ஆனால், தாழ்மையானவர்களையோ அவர் உயர்த்தினார்.
He hath cast down the mighty from their thrones, and exalted the humble.
53 அவர் பசியாய் இருந்தவர்களை நன்மைகளால் நிரப்பினார். ஆனால் செல்வந்தர்களையோ வெறுமையாய் அனுப்பினார்.
He hath filled the hungry with good things, and the rich He hath sent away empty.
54 அவர் தமது வேலைக்காரனாகிய இஸ்ரயேலுக்கு உதவி செய்தார்.
He hath supported Israel his servant,
55 நம்முடைய தந்தையர்களுக்கு அவர் வாக்களித்தபடியே, ஆபிரகாமுக்கும் அவனுடைய தலைமுறையினருக்கும் என்றென்றுமுள்ள இரக்கத்தை அவர் நினைத்தபடியே செய்திருக்கிறார்” என்று பாடினாள். (aiōn g165)
in remembrance of his mercy (even as He promised to our fathers, to Abraham and to his seed, ) for ever." (aiōn g165)
56 மரியாள் எலிசபெத்துடன் மூன்று மாதங்கள் தங்கியிருந்து, அதற்குப் பின்பு தன் வீட்டிற்குத் திரும்பிப் போனாள்.
And Mary stayed with her about three months, and then returned to her own house.
57 எலிசபெத்திற்குப் பிள்ளைபெறும் காலம் வந்தபோது, அவள் ஒரு மகனைப் பெற்றாள்.
Now when Elisabeth's time for her delivery was fully come, she brought forth a son:
58 அவளுடைய அயலவர்களும் உறவினர்களும் கர்த்தர் அவளுக்குப் பெரிதான இரக்கம் காண்பித்திருக்கிறார் என்று கேள்விப்பட்டபோது, அவளுடன்கூட மகிழ்ச்சி அடைந்தார்கள்.
and her neighbours and kindred heard that the Lord had magnified his mercy towards her, and they congratulated her;
59 அவர்களுடைய அயலவர்களும் உறவினர்களும் எட்டாம் நாளில் அந்தப் பிள்ளைக்கு விருத்தசேதனம் செய்யும்படி வந்து சேர்ந்தார்கள். அவர்கள் குழந்தைக்கு அவனுடைய தகப்பனின் பெயரின்படியே சகரியா என்று பெயரிட நினைத்தார்கள்.
and on the eighth day they came to circumcise the child: and they would have called him Zacharias, after the name of his father:
60 ஆனால் குழந்தையின் தாயோ, “இல்லை! அவன் யோவான் என்றே அழைக்கப்பட வேண்டும்” என்று சொன்னாள்.
but his mother said, No, but he shall be called John:
61 அதற்கு அவர்கள் அவளிடம், “உனது உறவினரில் அந்தப் பெயருள்ளவன் ஒருவனும் இல்லையே” என்றார்கள்.
and they said to her, There is none of thy relations of this name.
62 அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் பிள்ளையின் தகப்பன் என்ன பெயரிட விரும்புகிறான் என்று அறிவதற்கு, அவனிடம் சைகை மூலம் கேட்டார்கள்.
And they made signs to his father, what name he would have him called by.
63 அவன் ஒரு கற்பலகையைக் கேட்டுவாங்கி, அவர்கள் எல்லோரும் வியப்படையத்தக்கதாக, “இவனுடைய பெயர் யோவான்” என்று எழுதினான்.
And he called for a writing-tablet, and wrote upon it, His name is John: and they all wondered.
64 உடனே அவனது வாய் திறக்கப்பட்டு, அவனுடைய நாவு கட்டவிழ்ந்தது. அவன் இறைவனைப் புகழ்ந்து பேசத் தொடங்கினான்.
And his mouth was opened immediately, and his tongue loosed, and he spake and praised God.
65 அயலவர்கள் எல்லோரும் ஆச்சரியப்பட்டார்கள். இந்தக் காரியங்களைக்குறித்து, யூதேயாவின் மலைநாடு எங்கும் மக்கள் பேசிக்கொண்டார்கள்.
And an awe fell upon all that dwelt round about them; and all these things were divulged through the whole hill-country of Judea.
66 இதைக் கேள்விப்பட்ட எல்லோரும் வியப்படைந்து, “இந்தப் பிள்ளை எப்படிப்பட்டதாய் இருக்குமோ?” என்றார்கள் கர்த்தருடைய கரம் அந்த பிள்ளையோடு இருந்தது.
And all that heard them, laid them up in their hearts, saying, What a child will this be? And the hand of the Lord was with him.
67 அந்தப் பிள்ளையின் தகப்பனான சகரியா பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவரால் நிரப்பப்பட்டு இறைவாக்கு உரைத்ததாவது:
And his father Zacharias was filled with the holy Spirit,
68 “இஸ்ரயேலின் இறைவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்குத் துதி உண்டாவதாக, அவர் வந்து தம்முடைய மக்களை மீட்டுக்கொண்டார்.
and prophesied, saying, "Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, for He hath visited and wrought redemption for his people,
69 அவர் தமது தாசனாகிய தாவீதின் வம்சத்திலிருந்து, நாம் இரட்சிப்பு அடைவதற்கான இரட்சணியக்கொம்பை எழுப்பியிருக்கிறார்.
and hath raised up an horn of salvation for us,
70 அவர் தம்முடைய பரிசுத்த இறைவாக்கினர் மூலமாய், நெடுங்காலத்திற்கு முன்பே சொல்லியிருந்தார். (aiōn g165)
in the house of his servant David, as He spake by the mouth of his holy prophets from the beginning, (aiōn g165)
71 நம்முடைய பகைவரிடமிருந்தும், நம்மை வெறுக்கும் எல்லோருடைய கைகளிலிருந்தும் நமக்கு விடுதலையை ஏற்படுத்துவேன் என்றும்,
even salvation from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us,
72 அவருடைய பரிசுத்த உடன்படிக்கையை நினைவுகூர்ந்து, நம்முடைய தந்தையருக்கு இரக்கம் காண்பிப்பேன் என்றும் சொல்லியிருந்தார்.
to display his mercy towards our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant,
73 அவர் நமது தந்தையான ஆபிரகாமுக்கு ஆணையிட்டு:
according to the oath which He sware to Abraham our father,
74 நம்முடைய பகைவருடைய கையினின்று நம்மைத் தப்புவித்து, நமது நாட்களெல்லாம் பயமின்றிப் பணிசெய்யும்படி,
to grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies, might serve Him without fear, in holiness and righteousness before Him,
75 பரிசுத்தத்திலும் நீதியிலும் அவருக்கு முன்பாக என்றும் வாக்குக் கொடுத்திருந்தார்.
all the days of our life.
76 “என் பிள்ளையே, நீயோ, உன்னதமானவருடைய இறைவாக்கினன் என்னப்படுவாய்; நீ கர்த்தருக்கு வழியை ஆயத்தம்பண்ணும்படி, அவருக்கு முன்பாகப் போவாய்.
And thou, my child, shalt be called the prophet of the most High; for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord,
77 நம்முடைய இறைவனின் மிகுந்த இரக்கத்தின் நிமித்தம் அவருடைய மக்களுக்கு பாவங்கள் மன்னிக்கப்படுவதன் மூலமாய், இரட்சிப்பின் அறிவைக் கொடுப்பாய்.
to make known salvation to his people,
78 இருளில் வாழ்கிறவர்களுக்கும் மரண இருளில் இருக்கிறவர்களுக்கும் ஒளியைத் தருவதற்கும்,
in the remission of their sins, through the tender mercy of our God, whereby the day-spring hath visited us from on high,
79 நமது கால்களை சமாதானத்தின் வழியில் நடத்துவதற்கும், பரலோகத்திலிருந்து தோன்றிய அருணோதயம் நம்மைச் சந்தித்திருக்கிறது.”
to enlighten them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to direct our feet into the way of peace."
80 அந்தப் பிள்ளை வளர்ந்து ஆவியில் வலிமையடைந்தது; அவன் வெளியரங்கமாக இஸ்ரயேலரின்முன் வரும் காலம்வரைக்கும் பாலைவனத்தில் வாழ்ந்தான்.
And the child grew, and became strong in spirit: and he was in the deserts till the time of his being manifested to Israel.
