யோசுவா 15
1 வம்சம் வம்சமாக யூதா கோத்திரத்திற்கு அளிக்கப்பட்ட பங்கு தென்பகுதியில் ஏதோம் நாட்டிற்கும், சீன் பாலைவனத்திற்கும் பரந்திருந்தது.
So then the boundary of the tribe of the sons of Judah, by their families, —reached unto the boundary of Edom, the desert of Zin southward, on the extreme south;
2 அதன் தென் எல்லை உப்புக்கடலில் தென் மூலையிலுள்ள முனையிலிருந்து,
so their south boundary beginneth at the end of the Salt Sea, —from the bay that turneth to the south;
3 அக்கராபீமின் மேட்டைத் தென்புறமாகக் கடந்து சீன் பாலைவனத்தின் வழியாக, காதேஸ் பர்னேயாவுக்கு தெற்கே சென்றது. பின்பு அது எஸ்ரோன் பக்கமாக ஆதார்வரை போய் வளைந்துசென்று கார்க்காவை அடைந்தது.
and goeth forth on the south of the cliffs of Akrabbim, and crosseth over to Zin, and goeth up on the south of Kadesh-barnea, —and passeth over by Hezron, and goeth up to Addar, and turneth round to Karka;
4 பின்பு அஸ்மோன் பக்கமாகச்சென்று, எகிப்தின் நதியுடன் இணைந்து மத்திய தரைக்கடலில் முடிந்தது. இதுவே யூதா கோத்திரத்தாரின் தென் எல்லை.
and passeth over to Azmon, and goeth forth at the ravine of Egypt, and so the extensions of the boundary are to the sea. This, shall be your south boundary.
5 யோர்தான் நதியின் ஆரம்பம் வரை உள்ள உப்புக்கடல் அதன் கிழக்கு எல்லையாகும். வட எல்லை யோர்தான் முகத்துவாரத்திலுள்ள கடலின் முனையிலிருந்து ஆரம்பமாகி,
And, a boundary eastward, is the Salt Sea, as far as the end of the Jordan. And, the boundary on the north side, is from the bay of the sea, from the end of the Jordan.
6 அங்கிருந்து பெத் ஓக்லாவுக்குச் சென்று பின் பெத் அரபாவின் வடக்காகக் கடந்து ரூபனின் மகனாகிய போகனின் கல் இருந்த இடம்வரை சென்றது.
And the boundary goeth up Beth-hoglah, and passeth over, on the north, by Beth-arabah, —and the boundary goeth up by the Stone of Bohan, son of Reuben;
7 அந்த எல்லை ஆகோர் பள்ளத்தாக்கிலிருந்து தெபீருக்குச் சென்றது. வடக்கே திரும்பி கணவாய்க்குத் தெற்கிலுள்ள அதும்மீமின் மேட்டுக்கு எதிரேயுள்ள கில்காலுக்குச் சென்றது. அங்கிருந்து எல்லையானது என்சேமேசின் நீரூற்றுகளுக்குச் சென்று என்ரொகேல் நீரூற்றுவரை வந்தது.
and the boundary goeth up towards Debir, out of the vale of Achor, then northward, turning unto Gilgal, which is over against the ascent of Adummim, which is on the south side of the ravine, —then the boundary passeth over unto the waters of En-shemesh, and so the extensions thereof are unto En-rogel:
8 பின் எல்லையானது பென் இன்னோம் பள்ளத்தாக்கின் வழியாக எபூசியரின் பட்டணத்தின் தென்மலைச்சரிவை அதாவது எருசலேமை அடைந்தது. அங்கிருந்து இன்னோம் பள்ளத்தாக்கிற்கு மேற்கே மலையின் உச்சிக்கு ஏறியது. இந்த மலை ரெப்பாயீம் பள்ளத்தாக்கின் வடக்குமுனையில் இருந்தது.
then ascendeth the boundary by the valley of the son of Hinnom, to the side of the Jebusite, on the south, the same, is Jerusalem, —and the boundary goeth up unto the top of the mountain which faceth the valley of Hinnom, to the west, which is at the end of the Vale of Giants, northwards;
9 அந்த மலையுச்சியிலிருந்து எல்லையானது, நெப்தோ நீரூற்றை நோக்கிச்சென்று, பின்னர் எப்ரோன் மலையிலுள்ள நகரங்களின் வழியாகச் சென்று அங்கிருந்த கீரியாத்யாரீமாகிய பாலாவை நோக்கிசென்றது.
and the boundary turneth round, from the top of the mountain, unto the fountain of the waters of Nephtoah, and goeth out unto the cities of Mount Ephron, —then the boundary turneth round to Baalah, the same, is Kiriath-jearim;
10 பாலாவிலிருந்து எல்லையானது, மேற்கே வளைந்து சேயீர் மலையை நோக்கித் திரும்பி யெயாரீம் மலையில் வடக்குசரிவு அதாவது கெசலோக் ஒரமாகத் தொடர்ந்துசென்றது. அங்கிருந்து பெத்ஷிமேஷைக் கடந்து திம்னாவரை சென்றது.
then the boundary goeth round from Baalah westward, unto Mount Seir, and passeth over unto the slope of Mount Yearim, on the north, the same, is Chesalon, —and descendeth Bethshemesh, and passeth over Timnah;
11 அது எக்ரோனின் வடக்கு மலைச்சரிவை நோக்கிச்சென்று, சிக்ரோனை நோக்கி திரும்பிச்சென்று, பாலா மலையைக்கடந்து யாப்னியேலை அடைந்தது. அதன் எல்லை மத்திய தரைக்கடலில் முடிந்தது.
then the boundary goeth forth unto the side of Ekron, northward, then the boundary turneth round towards Shikkeron, and crosseth over Mount Baalah, and goeth out at Jabneel, —and the extensions of the boundary are to the sea.
12 தேசத்தின் மேற்கு எல்லை, மத்திய தரைக்கடலின் கரையோரமாகும். மேலே கூறப்பட்டவை யூதாவின் கோத்திரத்திற்கு அதன் வம்சங்களுக்கேற்ப வழங்கப்பட்ட நிலத்தின் எல்லைகளாகும்.
And, as a west boundary, are the great sea and coast. This, is the boundary of the sons of Judah, round about, by their families.
13 யோசுவாவிற்கு யெகோவா கட்டளையிட்டபடியே அவன் யூதா தேசத்தின் ஒரு பகுதியை எப்புன்னேயின் மகனாகிய காலேப்புக்கு கொடுத்தான். அது கீரியாத் அர்பா அதாவது எப்ரோன் பிரதேசம் ஆகும். அர்பா என்பவன் ஏனாக்கின் முற்பிதா.
And, to Caleb, son of Jephunneh, gave he a portion, in the midst of the sons of Judah, at the bidding of Yahweh, by Joshua, —even the City of Arba, father of Anak, the same, is Hebron.
14 காலேப் மூன்று ஏனாக்கியரின் மகன்களை எப்ரோனிலிருந்து துரத்திவிட்டான். அவர்கள் ஏனாக்கின் வழித்தோன்றல்களான சேசாய், அகீமான், தல்மாய் என்பவர்கள்.
And Caleb dispossessed from thence, the three sons of Anak, —Sheshai, and Ahiman, and Talmai, the descendants of Anak.
15 அங்கிருந்து அவன் தெபீரில் வசித்தவர்களுக்கெதிராக படையெடுத்துச்சென்றான். தெபீர் என்பது முன்பு கீரியாத் செபேர் எனப்பட்டது.
And he went up from thence, against the inhabitants of Debir, —now, the name of Debir, formerly, was Kiriath-sepher.
16 காலேப், “கீரியாத் செபேர் நகரைத் தாக்கிக் கைப்பற்றும் வீரனுக்கு, என் மகள் அக்சாளைத் திருமணம் செய்துவைப்பேன்” என்று சொல்லியிருந்தான்.
Then said Caleb, He that smiteth Kiriath-sepher, and captureth it, I will give unto him Achsah, my daughter, to wife.
17 காலேபின் சகோதரனான கேனாசின் மகன் ஒத்னியேல் அந்நகரைக் கைப்பற்றினான். எனவே காலேப் தன் மகள் அக்சாளை அவனுக்குத் திருமணம் செய்துகொடுத்தான்.
And Othniel son of Kenaz, brother of Caleb, captured it, —so he gave unto him Achsah, his daughter, to wife.
18 ஒரு நாள் அவள் ஒத்னியேலுடன் வந்தபோது, அவளைத் தன் தகப்பனிடம் இன்னும் ஒரு வயல் நிலத்தைக் கேட்கும்படி அவளைத் தூண்டினான். அப்படியே அவள் கழுதையிலிருந்து இறங்கியபோது காலேப் அவளிடம், “நான் உனக்கு என்ன செய்யவேண்டும்?” என்று கேட்டான்.
And it came to pass, when she came, that she moved him to ask of her father a field, and, when she alighted from off the ass, Caleb said unto her—What aileth thee?
19 அதற்கு அவள், “எனக்கு இன்னும் ஒரு உதவிசெய்ய வேண்டும். நீங்கள் எனக்கு, ‘நெகேவ்’ என்னும் வறண்டபகுதியில் நிலத்தை கொடுத்திருப்பதால் நீரூற்றுள்ள நிலத்தையும் கொடுங்கள்” என்றாள். அப்படியே காலேப் மேற்புறத்திலும், கீழ்ப்புறத்திலும் நீரூற்றுள்ள நிலத்தையும் அவளுக்குக் கொடுத்தான்.
And she said—Give me a present, for, dry land, hast thou given me, therefore must thou give me, pools of water. So he gave her upper pools and lower pools.
20 யூதா கோத்திரத்திற்கு வம்சம் வம்சமாக வழங்கப்பட்ட சொத்துரிமையாவது:
This, is the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Judah, by their families.
21 நெகேவின் தென்பகுதியில், ஏதோம் எல்லையை நோக்கி யூதா கோத்திரத்திற்குத் தென்முனையிலிருந்த நகரங்களாவன: கப்சேயேல், ஏதேர், யாகூர்,
And the uttermost cities of the tribe of the sons of Judah, towards the boundary of Edom in the south, were, —Kabzeel and Eder, and Jagur,
22 கீனா, திமோனா, ஆதாதா,
and Kinah and Dimonah, and Adadah, —
23 கேதேஸ், ஆத்சோர், இத்னான்,
and Kedesh and Hazor, and Ithnan,
24 சீப், தெலெம், பெயாலோத்,
Ziph and Talem, and Bealoth,
25 ஆத்சோர் அதாத்தா, கீரியோத் எஸ்ரோன் அதாவது ஆத்சோர்,
and Hazor-hadattah and Kerioth-hezron, the same, is Hazor;
26 ஆமாம், சேமா, மொலாதா;
Amam and Shema, and Moladah,
27 ஆத்சார்காதா, எஸ்மோன், பெத்பெலேத்,
and Hazar-gaddah and Heshmon, and Beth-pelet.
28 ஆத்சார்சூவால், பெயெர்செபா, பிஸ்யோத்யா,
and Hazarshual and Beer-sheba, with the hamlets thereof,
29 பாலா, ஈயிம், ஆத்சேம்,
Baalah and Iyyim, and Ezem,
30 எல்தோலாத், கெசீல், ஓர்மா,
and Eltolad and Chesil, and Hormah,
31 சிக்லாக், மத்மன்னா, சன்சன்னா,
and Ziklag and Madmannah, and Sansannah,
32 லெபாயோத், சில்லீம், ஆயின், ரிம்மோன் ஆகிய இருபத்தொன்பது நகரங்களும் அவற்றின் கிராமங்களும் ஆகும்.
and Lebaoth and Shilhim, and En-rimmon, —all the cities are twenty-nine, with their villages.
33 மேற்கு மலையடிவாரங்களில் எஸ்தாவோல், சோரியா, அஷ்னா,
In the lowland, —Eshtaol and Zorah, and Ashnah,
34 சனோகா, என்கன்னீம், தப்புவா, ஏனாம்,
and Zanoah and En-gannim, Tappuah, and Enam;
35 யர்மூத், அதுல்லாம், சோக்கோ, அசேக்கா,
Jarmuth, and Adullam, Socoh, and Azekah;
36 சாராயீம், அதித்தாயீம், கெதேரா அல்லது கெதெரோத்தாயீம் ஆகிய பதினான்கு நகரங்களும் அவற்றின் கிராமங்களும் ஆகும்.
and Shaaraim, and Adithaim, and Gederah, and Gederothaim, —fourteen cities, with their villages.
37 சேனான், அதாஷா, மிக்தால்காத்,
Zenan and Hadashah, and Migdal-gad,
38 திலியான், மிஸ்பே, யோக்தெயேல்,
and Dilan and Mizpeh, and Joktheel,
39 லாகீசு, போஸ்காத், எக்லோன்,
Lachish and Bozkath, and Eglon,
40 காபோன், லகமாஸ், கித்லீஷ்,
and Cabbon and Lahmas, and Chithlish,
41 கெதெரோத், பெத்டாகோன், நாமா, மக்கெதா ஆகிய பதினாறு நகரங்களும் அவற்றின் கிராமங்களும் ஆகும்.
and Gederoth, Beth-dagon and Naamah, and Makkedah, —sixteen cities, with their villages.
42 லிப்னா, ஏத்தேர், ஆஷான்,
Libnah and Ether, and Ashan,
43 இப்தா, அஸ்னா, நெத்சீப்,
and Iphtah and Ashnah, and Nezib,
44 கேகிலா, அக்சீப், மரேஷா ஆகிய ஒன்பது நகரங்களும் அவற்றின் கிராமங்களும் ஆகும்.
and Keilah and Achzib, and Mareshah, —nine cities, with their villages.
45 எக்ரோனும் அதைச் சுற்றியுள்ள குடியேற்றங்களும், கிராமங்களும்.
Ekron with her towns, and her villages.
46 எக்ரோனின் மேற்கே அஸ்தோத்தின் சுற்றுப்புறமும் அவற்றோடும் அவற்றின் கிராமங்களும்.
From Ekron, even unto the sea, —all that were by the side of Ashdod with their villages.
47 அஸ்தோத் பட்டணமும் அதன் சுற்றியுள்ள குடியேற்றங்களும், கிராமங்களும், காசா நகரும், அதைச் சுற்றியுள்ள குடியேற்றங்களும், அதன் கிராமங்களும் ஆகும். இப்பிரதேசங்கள் எகிப்தின் ஆறுவரையும் மத்திய தரைக்கடற்கரை வரையும் பரந்திருந்தன.
Ashdod, her towns and her villages. Gaza, her towns and her villages, as far as the ravine of Egypt, —and the great sea and coast.
48 மலைநாட்டில் இருந்தவைகளான: சாமீர், யாத்தீர், சோக்கோ,
And in the hill-country, —Shamir and Jattir, and Socoh,
49 தன்னா, தெபீர் என்னப்பட்ட கீரியாத் சன்னா,
and Dannah and Kiriath-sannah, the same, is Debir,
50 ஆனாப், எஸ்தெமொ, ஆனிம்,
and Anab and Eshtemoh, and Anim,
51 கோசேன், ஓலோன், கிலொ ஆகிய பதினொன்று நகரங்களும் அவற்றின் கிராமங்களும் ஆகும்.
and Goshen and Holon, and Giloh, —eleven cities, with their villages.
52 அராப், ரூமா, எஷான்,
Arab and Rumah and Eshan,
53 யானூம், பெத் தப்புவா, ஆப்பெக்கா
and Janim and Beth-tappuah and Aphekah,
54 உம்தா, கீரியாத் அர்பா அல்லது எப்ரோன், சீயோர் ஆகிய ஒன்பது நகரங்களும் அவற்றின் கிராமங்களும் ஆகும்.
and Humtah, and Kiriath-arba, the same, is Hebron, and Zior, —nine cities, with their villages.
55 மாகோன், கர்மேல், சீப், யுத்தா,
Maon, Carmel, and Ziph and Jutah,
56 யெஸ்ரயேல், யோக்தெயாம், சனோகா,
and Jezreel and Jokdeam, and Zanoah,
57 காயின், கிபியா, திம்னா ஆகிய பத்துப் பட்டணங்களும் அவற்றின் கிராமங்களும் ஆகும்.
Kain, Gibeah and Timnah, —ten cities, with their villages.
58 அல்கூல், பெத்சூர், கேதோர்,
Halhul, Beth-zur, and Gedor,
59 மாராத், பெத் ஆனோத், எல்தெகோன், ஆகிய ஆறு நகரங்களும் அவற்றின் கிராமங்களும் ஆகும்.
and Maarath and Beth-anoth, and Eltekon, —six cities, with their villages.
60 கீரியாத் பாகால், அதாவது கீரியாத்யாரீம், ரபா ஆகிய இரண்டு நகரங்களும் அவற்றின் கிராமங்களும் ஆகும்.
Kiriath-baal, the same, is Kiriath-jearim, and Rabbah, —two cities, with their villages.
61 பாலைவனத்தில் இருந்த நகரங்களாவன: பெத் அரபா, மித்தீன், செக்காக்கா,
In the desert, —Beth-arabah, Middin, and Secacah,
62 நிப்சான், உப்புப்பட்டணம், என்கேதி ஆகிய நகரங்களும் அவற்றின் கிராமங்களும் உட்பட ஆறு ஆகும்.
and Nibshan and the City of Salt, and En-gedi, —six cities, with their villages.
63 ஆனாலும் எருசலேம் பட்டணத்தில் வாழ்ந்த எபூசியரை வெளியேற்ற யூதாவினால் முடியவில்லை. எனவே அவர்கள் யூதா மக்களுடன் இன்றுவரை எருசலேமில் வாழ்ந்து வருகிறார்கள்.
But, as for the Jebusites, the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the sons of Judah could not dispossess them, —so the Jebusites have dwelt with the sons of Judah, in Jerusalem, until this day.
