யோவான் 9

1 இயேசு நடந்துபோகையில், பிறந்ததிலிருந்தே பார்வைற்றவனாயிருந்த ஒருவனைக் கண்டார்.

AND as he was passing, he saw a man blind from the womb of his mother.

2 அவருடைய சீடர்கள் அவரிடம், “போதகரே, இவன் பார்வையற்றவனாய் பிறந்தது யார் செய்த பாவத்தினால்? இவனுடைய பாவத்தினாலா? அல்லது இவனுடைய பெற்றோரின் பாவத்தினாலா?” என்று கேட்டார்கள்.

And his disciples asked him, saying, Raban, who sinned, this or his parents, that blind he should have been born?

3 இயேசு அவர்களுக்கு மறுமொழியாக, “இவனுடைய பாவத்தினாலோ, இவனுடைய பெற்றோரின் பாவத்தினாலோ அல்ல. இவனுடைய வாழ்க்கையில் இறைவனுடைய செயல்கள் வெளிப்படும்படியாகவே இப்படி ஏற்பட்டிருக்கிறது.

Jeshu saith to them, Neither he sinned, nor his parents; but that there might be seen in him the works of Aloha.

4 பகல் வேளையாய் இருக்கும்போதே, என்னை அனுப்பினவருடைய வேலையை நான் செய்யவேண்டும். இரவு வருகிறது, அப்பொழுது ஒருவராலும் வேலைசெய்யமுடியாது.

Me it behoveth to do the works of Him who sent me, while it is to-day: the night cometh when man cannot work.

5 நான் உலகத்தில் இருக்கையில், நானே உலகத்தின் வெளிச்சமாய் இருக்கிறேன்” என்றார்.

So long as I am in the world, I am the Light of the world.

6 இயேசு இவைகளைச் சொல்லியபின், தரையிலே துப்பி, உமிழ் நீரினால் சிறிதளவு சேறுண்டாக்கி, அவனுடைய கண்களிலே அதைப் பூசினார்.

And when he had said these things, he spat upon the ground, and formed clay from his spittle, and rubbed upon the eyes of the blind,

7 பின்பு இயேசு அவனிடம், “நீ போய் சீலோவாம் குளத்திலே கழுவு” என்றார். சீலோவாம் என்பதன் அர்த்தம், “அனுப்பப்பட்டவன்” என்பதாகும். அவன் அப்படியே போய் கழுவி பார்வையடைந்து வீடு திரும்பினான்.

and said to him, Go, wash in the pool of Shilucha. And he went, washed, and came seeing.

8 அவனுடைய அயலவரும், முன்பு அவன் பிச்சை கேட்டுக்கொண்டிருந்ததைக் கண்டவர்களும், “இங்கே உட்கார்ந்திருந்து பிச்சை கேட்டவன் இவன் அல்லவா?” என்றார்கள்.

But his neighbours, and they who had seen (him) aforetime as he begged, said, Is not this he who sat and begged?

9 சிலர், “இது அவன் தான்” என்றார்கள். இன்னும் சிலர், “இல்லை, இது அவனைப் போன்ற வேறொருவன்” என்றார்கள். ஆனால் அவனோ, “நான்தான் அவன்” என்றான்.

Some said, It is he; and some said, It is not, but one like him; but he said, I am he.

10 அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் அவனிடம், “அப்படியானால் உனக்கு எப்படி பார்வை கிடைத்தது?” என்றார்கள்.

They say to him, How were thine eyes opened?

11 அதற்கு அவன், “இயேசு என்று அழைக்கப்படும் ஒருவர் சிறிதளவு சேறுண்டாக்கி, அதை என் கண்களில் பூசி, சீலோவாம் குளத்தில் போய் கழுவும்படி எனக்குச் சொன்னார். அப்படியே நான் போய் கழுவியபோது, என்னால் பார்க்கமுடிந்தது” என்றான்.

He answered and said to them, The man whose name is Jeshu made clay, and rubbed upon mine eyes, and said to me, Go, wash in the waters of Shilucha; and I went, washed, and received sight.

12 அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் அவனிடம், “அவர் எங்கே?” என்று கேட்டார்கள். அதற்கு அவன், “எனக்குத் தெரியாது” என்றான்.

They say to him, Where is he? He saith to them, I know not.

13 பார்வையற்றவனாயிருந்தவனை மக்கள் பரிசேயரிடம் கொண்டுவந்தார்கள்.

They brought him who from the beginning was blind to the Pharishee.

14 இயேசு சேறுண்டாக்கி, அந்த மனிதனின் கண்களைத் திறந்த நாள் ஒரு ஓய்வுநாளாயிருந்தது.

Now it was shabath when Jeshu made the clay and opened his eyes:

15 எனவே பரிசேயரும் அவனிடம், “நீ எப்படிப் பார்வை பெற்றாய்?” என்று கேட்டார்கள். அதற்கு அவன், “அவர் எனது கண்களில் சேற்றைப் பூசினார். நான் அதைக் கழுவினேன். இப்பொழுது நான் பார்க்கிறேன்” என்றான்.

and again the Pharishee questioned him, How didst thou receive sight? He said to them, He put clay upon mine eyes, and I washed, and received sight.

16 அப்பொழுது பரிசேயரில் சிலர், “இவன் இறைவனிடமிருந்து வந்தவனல்ல. ஏனெனில் இவன் யூதரின் ஓய்வுநாளைக் கைக்கொள்ளவில்லையே” என்றார்கள். அதற்கு மற்றவர்கள், “பாவியான ஒருவனால் இப்படிப்பட்ட அடையாளங்களை எப்படிச் செய்யமுடியும்?” என்றார்கள். அதனால் அவர்களுக்கிடையே பிரிவினை ஏற்பட்டது.

And some of the Pharishee said, This man is not from Aloha; for the shabath he keepeth not. But others said, How can a man, a sinner, perform these signs? And there was a division among them.

17 கடைசியாக அவர்கள் மீண்டும் அந்தக் பார்வையற்றவனைப் பார்த்து, “உனது கண்களைத் திறந்தவரைக் குறித்து நீ என்ன சொல்கிறாய்?” என்று கேட்டார்கள். அதற்கு அவன், “அவர் ஒரு இறைவாக்கினர்” என்றான்.

They say again to the blind, What sayest thou concerning him, because he hath opened thine eyes? He saith to them, I say that he is the Prophet.

18 பார்வையற்றவனாயிருந்தவனுடைய பெற்றோரைக் கூப்பிட்டு விசாரிக்கும் வரைக்கும், அவன் பார்வையற்றவனாய் இருந்து பார்வை பெற்றான் என்று யூதர்கள் நம்பவில்லை.

But believed not concerning him the Jihudoyee that blind he had been and made-to-see, until they called the parents of him who had been made to see,

19 அவர்கள் அவனுடைய பெற்றோரிடம், “பார்வையற்றவனாய்ப் பிறந்தான் என்று நீங்கள் சொன்ன உங்கள் மகன் இவன்தானா? இவன் எப்படி இப்பொழுது பார்வையடைந்தான்?” என்று கேட்டார்கள்.

and asked them, If this is your son who, you say, was born blind, how now doth he see?

20 அதற்கு அவனுடைய பெற்றோர், “இவன் எங்கள் மகன் என்பதும், இவன் பார்வையற்றவனாய் பிறந்தான் என்பதும் எங்களுக்குத் தெரியும்.

His parents answered and said, We know that this (is) our son, and that blind he was born.

21 ஆனால் இவனால் இப்பொழுது எப்படிப் பார்க்க முடிகிறது என்பதோ, இவனுடைய கண்களைத் திறந்தது யார் என்பதோ எங்களுக்குத் தெரியாது. அவனையே கேளுங்கள். அவன் வயது வந்தவனாய் இருக்கிறானே; அவனே தனக்காகப் பேசுவான்” என்றார்கள்.

But how he now seeth, or who hath opened his eyes, we know not. He also hath entered on his years, ask him: he for himself shall speak.

22 அவனுடைய பெற்றோர் யூதத்தலைவர்களுக்கு பயந்தபடியினாலேயே இப்படிச் சொன்னார்கள். ஏனெனில் இயேசுவை யாராவது கிறிஸ்து என அங்கீகரித்தால், அவன் ஜெப ஆலயத்திலிருந்து வெளியேற்றப்பட வேண்டும் என்று யூதர்கள் ஏற்கெனவே தீர்மானித்திருந்தார்கள்.

These words said his parents, because they feared the Jihudoyee; for the Jihudoyee had determined that if any man should confess him that he was the Meshicha, they would cast him out of the synagogue:

23 அதனாலேயே அவனுடைய பெற்றோர், “அவன் வயது வந்தவன்; அவனையே கேளுங்கள்” என்று சொன்னார்கள்.

on this account said his parents, He hath entered on his years, ask him.

24 இரண்டாவது முறையும் அவர்கள் பார்வையற்றவனாயிருந்த அவனைக் கூப்பிட்டு, “நீ இறைவனுக்கு மகிமையைக் கொடு. அவன் ஒரு பாவி என்று எங்களுக்குத் தெரியும்” என்றார்கள்.

And they called the second time the man who had been blind, and said to him, Glorify Aloha: for we know that this man is a sinner.

25 அதற்கு பார்வையற்றவனாயிருந்தவன், “அவர் ஒரு பாவியோ இல்லையோ, எனக்குத் தெரியாது. எனக்கு ஒன்றுமட்டும் தெரியும். நான் பார்வையற்றவனாயிருந்தேன், இப்பொழுது பார்க்கிறேன்!” என்றான்.

He answered and said to them, Whether he be a sinner, I know not; but one (thing) I know, that I have been blind, and now, behold, I see.

26 அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் அவனிடம், “அவன் உனக்கு என்ன செய்தான்? அவன் எப்படி உன் கண்களைத் திறந்தான்?” என்று கேட்டார்கள்.

They say to him again, What did he to thee? how opened he to thee thine eyes?

27 அவன் அதற்குப் பதிலாக, “ஏற்கெனவே நான் உங்களுக்குச் சொன்னேன். நீங்கள் கேட்கவில்லை. மீண்டும் ஏன் அதைக் கேட்கிறீர்கள்? நீங்களும் அவருடைய சீடர்களாக விரும்புகிறீர்களோ?” என்று கேட்டான்.

He saith to them, I told you, and you heard not: what will you hear? Are you also willing disciples to him to become?

28 அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் ஆத்திரத்துடன் அவனை அவமதித்துப் பேசி, “நீ அவனுடைய சீடன், நாங்கள் மோசேயின் சீடர்கள்.

But they reviled him, and said to him, Thou art the disciple of him; but we are the disciples of Musha.

29 மோசேயுடன் இறைவன் பேசினார் என்று எங்களுக்குத் தெரியும். ஆனால் இவனைப் பற்றியோ, இவன் எங்கிருந்து வந்தான் என்றோ எங்களுக்குத் தெரியாது” என்றார்கள்.

And we know that with Musha Aloha spake; but for this, we know not whence he is.

30 அதற்கு அவன், “இது வியப்பாயிருக்கிறது! என் கண்களை அவரே திறந்தார். அப்படியிருந்தும் அவர் எங்கிருந்து வந்தார் என்று உங்களுக்குத் தெரியாது என்கிறீர்களே.

Answered the man and said to them, At this then we must wonder, that you know not from whence he is, and (yet) mine eyes he hath opened!

31 இறைவன் பாவிகளுக்குச் செவிகொடுப்பதில்லை என்பது நமக்குத் தெரியும். தமது சித்தத்தைச் செய்கிற இறை பக்தியுள்ளவருக்கே அவர் செவிகொடுக்கிறார்.

But we know that Aloha the voice of sinners heareth not; but if any man fear him and do his will, him he heareth.

32 பிறந்ததிலிருந்தே பார்வையற்றவனாயிருந்த ஒருவனுடைய கண்கள் திறக்கப்பட்டதை, ஒருவருமே ஒருபோதும் கேள்விப்பட்டதில்லை. (aiōn g165)

From of old it hath not been heard that a man hath opened the eyes of one born blind. (aiōn g165)

33 அவர் இறைவனிடமிருந்து வந்திராவிட்டால், அவரால் ஒன்றையுமே செய்திருக்க முடியாது” என்றான்.

If this were not from Aloha, he could not this have done.

34 அதற்கு அவர்கள், “பிறப்பிலேயே பாவத்தில் மூழ்கியிருந்த நீ எங்களுக்குப் போதிக்கத் துணிந்துவிட்டாயோ!” என்று சொல்லி அவனை வெளியே தள்ளிவிட்டார்கள்.

They answered and say to him, Thou altogether wast born in sins, and art thou teaching us? And they cast him without.

35 யூதத்தலைவர்கள் அவனை ஜெப ஆலயத்திலிருந்து வெளியே தள்ளிவிட்டார்கள் என்று இயேசு கேள்விப்பட்டார். இயேசு அவனைத் திரும்பவும் கண்டபோது, “நீ மானிடமகனை விசுவாசிக்கிறாயா?” என்று கேட்டார்.

Jeshu heard that they had cast him without, and he found him, and said to him, Dost thou believe on the Son of Aloha?

36 அதற்கு அவன், “ஐயா, அவர் யார் என்று சொல்லும். அப்பொழுது நான் அவரை விசுவாசிக்கிறேன்” என்றான்.

He who had been cured answered and said, Who (is he), my Lord, that I may believe in him?

37 அதற்கு இயேசு, “நீ அவரை இப்பொழுது பார்க்கிறாய்; உன்னோடு பேசிக்கொண்டிருக்கிற நானே அவர்” என்றார்.

Jeshu said to him, Thou hast SEEN him, and He who talketh with thee is He.

38 அதற்கு அவன், “ஆண்டவரே, நான் விசுவாசிக்கிறேன்” என்று சொல்லி, அவரை வழிபட்டான்.

He said, I believe, my Lord! And, falling, he adored him.

39 அப்பொழுது இயேசு, “நியாயத்தீர்ப்பிற்காகவே நான் இந்த உலகத்திற்கு வந்தேன். இதனால் பார்வையற்றவர்கள் காண்பார்கள். காண்கிறவர்கள் பார்வையற்றவராவார்கள்” என்றார்.

Jeshu said to them, For the judgment of this world am I come, that they who see not may see, and they who see may be made blind.

40 அப்பொழுது இயேசுவுடன் இருந்த சில பரிசேயர்கள் இதைக் கேட்டு, “என்ன! நாங்களும் பார்வையற்றோர்களோ?” என்று கேட்டார்கள்.

And some of the Pharishee who were with him heard these (words), and they said to him, Are we blind also?

41 அதற்கு இயேசு, “நீங்கள் பார்வையற்றவர்களாயிருந்தால், பாவத்தின் குற்றம் உங்களுக்கு இராது; ஆனால் உங்களால் பார்க்கமுடியும் என்று நீங்கள் சொல்கிறபடியால், குற்றம் உங்கள்மேல் இருக்கிறது” என்றார்.

Jeshu saith to them, If blind you were, you would have no sin; but now you say, We see: therefore your sin is confirmed.
