யோவான் 7
1 இவைகளுக்குப்பின், இயேசுவைக் கொலைசெய்வதற்கு யூதத்தலைவர்கள் வழி தேடிக்கொண்டிருந்ததால், அவர் யூதேயாவுக்குப் போக விரும்பாமல் கலிலேயாவிலேயே வெவ்வேறு இடங்களுக்குச் சென்றார்.
AFTER these Jeshu walked in Galila; for he would not walk in Jihuda, because the Jihudoyee had sought to kill him.
2 ஆனால் யூதரின் கூடாரப்பண்டிகைச் சமீபித்தபோது,
And the feast of tabernacles of the Jihudoyee drew nigh.
3 இயேசுவின் சகோதரர் அவரிடம், “நீர் இவ்விடத்தைவிட்டுப் புறப்பட்டு யூதேயாவுக்குச் செல்லும். அப்பொழுதே நீர் செய்யும் கிரியைகளை உமது சீடர்கள் காண்பார்கள்.
And his brethren said to Jeshu, Remove thee hence, and go into Jihuda, that thy disciples may see the works which thou doest.
4 பிரபலமடைய விரும்புகிற எவனும் இரகசியமாக செயல்படுவதில்லை. நீர் இந்தக் காரியங்களைச் செய்கிறதினால், உலகத்துக்கு உம்மை வெளிப்படுத்தலாமே” என்றார்கள்.
For there is no man who doeth any thing in concealment, and willeth himself to be in openness: if these things thou doest, show thyself to the world.
5 ஏனெனில் இயேசுவின் சொந்தச் சகோதரர்கள்கூட அவரை விசுவாசிக்கவில்லை.
For neither did his brethren believe in him, in Jeshu.
6 எனவே இயேசு அவர்களிடம், “எனது நேரம் இன்னும் வரவில்லை; ஆனால் உங்களுக்கோ எந்த நேரமும் சரியானதே.
Jeshu saith to them, My time until now cometh not, but your time is always ready.
7 உலகம் உங்களை வெறுக்க முடியாது. உலகத்தின் செயல்கள் தீமையென்று நான் சாட்சிக் கொடுக்கிறதினால் உலகம் என்னை வெறுக்கிறது.
The world cannot hate you: but me it hateth, because I bear witness against it that the works of it are evil.
8 இந்தப் பண்டிகைக்கு நீங்கள் போங்கள். நானோ இந்தப் பண்டிகைக்கு இப்பொழுது போகிறதில்லை. ஏனெனில் எனக்கேற்ற நேரம் இன்னும் வரவில்லை” என்றார்.
Go you up to this feast: I do not ascend now to this feast, because my time is not yet complete.
9 இதைச் சொல்லிவிட்டு, இயேசு கலிலேயாவிலேயே தங்கியிருந்தார்.
These things said he, and remained in Galila.
10 ஆனால் அவருடைய சகோதரர் பண்டிகைக்குப் போனபின் அவரும் வெளிப்படையாக அல்ல, இரகசியமாகவே சென்றார்.
But when his brethren had ascended to the feast, then also he ascended; not in openness, but as in concealment.
11 அந்தப் பண்டிகையிலே யூதர் இயேசுவைத் தேடிக்கொண்டு, “அவர் எங்கே?” என்று கேட்டுக்கொண்டிருந்தார்கள்.
But the Jihudoyee sought him at the feast, and said, Where is he?
12 கூடியிருந்த மக்களுக்கிடையில் இயேசுவைக்குறித்து கருத்து வேறுபாடு இருந்தது. சிலர், “அவர் ஒரு நல்ல மனிதர்” என்றார்கள். மற்றவர்களோ, “அப்படியல்ல, அவன் மக்களை ஏமாற்றுகிறான்” என்றார்கள்.
and there was great murmuring concerning him among the people; for some said that he was good, and others said, No; but he deceiveth the people.
13 ஆனால், அவர்கள் யூதருக்குப் பயந்ததினால், ஒருவரும் அவரைப்பற்றி வெளிப்படையாக எதையும் பேசவில்லை.
But no man openly spoke of him, for fear of the Jihudoyee.
14 பண்டிகை நாட்கள் முடிந்தபின்பு இயேசு ஆலய முற்றத்திற்கு போய், அங்கே போதிக்கத் தொடங்கினார்.
But when the days of the feast divided, Jeshu ascended to the temple, and taught.
15 யூதர்களோ வியப்படைந்து, “படிக்காமலே இந்த மனிதனுக்கு இவ்வளவு அறிவு எப்படி வந்தது?” என்று கேட்டார்கள்.
And the Jihudoyee wondered and said, How knoweth this man the scripture, when he hath not learned?
16 இயேசு அவர்களுக்கு மறுமொழியாக, “எனது போதனை என்னுடையது அல்ல, அது என்னை அனுப்பின பிதாவிடமிருந்தே வருகிறது.
Jeshu answered and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his who sent me.
17 இறைவனுடைய சித்தத்தைச் செய்ய விரும்புகிறவன் எவனோ, அவன் எனது போதனை இறைவனிடமிருந்து வருகிறதா, அல்லது நான் என் சுயமாய் சொல்கிறேனா என்று அறிந்துகொள்வான்.
Whosoever willeth to do his will understandeth my doctrine, if it be from Aloha, or (if) from the will of myself I speak.
18 தனது சுய சிந்தனையில் பேசுகிறவன் தனக்கே மகிமையைத் தேட முயற்சிக்கிறான். ஆனால் தம்மை அனுப்பியவரின் மகிமையைத் தேடுகிறவன் உண்மையுள்ளவனாய் இருக்கிறான்; அவனில் அநீதி எதுவுமில்லை.
He who from the will of his (own) mind speaketh, the glory of himself seeketh; but he who the glory of him who hath sent him seeketh, is true, and no iniquity is in him.
19 மோசே உங்களுக்கு சட்டத்தைக் கொடுக்கவில்லையா? அப்படியிருந்தும் உங்களில் ஒருவனும் மோசேயின் சட்டத்தைக் கைக்கொள்கிறதில்லை. நீங்கள் ஏன் என்னைக் கொலைசெய்ய முயற்சிக்கிறீர்கள்?” என்றார்.
Did not Musha give you the law? But no man of you keepeth the law. Why seek you to kill me?
20 அப்பொழுது கூடியிருந்த கூட்டம், “நீ பிசாசு பிடித்தவன். யார் உன்னைக் கொலைசெய்ய முயற்சிக்கிறார்கள்?” என்றார்கள்.
The people answered, saying, Thou hast a demon: who seeketh to kill thee?
21 இயேசு அவர்களிடம், “நான் ஒரு கிரியையை செய்தேன். அதனால் நீங்கள் எல்லோரும் வியப்படைந்திருக்கிறீர்கள்.
Jeshu answered and said to them, One work have I performed, and all of you wondered on this account.
22 விருத்தசேதனத்தை மோசே உங்களுக்கு ஏற்படுத்திக் கொடுத்தான். நீங்கள் ஓய்வுநாளிலும் ஒரு பிள்ளைக்கு விருத்தசேதனம் செய்கிறீர்கள். உண்மையிலேயே விருத்தசேதனம் மோசேயினால் ஏற்படுத்தப்படவில்லை. நமது கோத்திரப் பிதாக்களினாலேயே ஏற்படுத்தப்பட்டது.
Musha gave you circumcision, not because it was from the fathers, and on the shabath you circumcise a man.
23 மோசேயின் சட்டம் மீறப்படாதபடி ஒரு பிள்ளை ஓய்வுநாளில் விருத்தசேதனம் பண்ணப்படலாம் என்கிறீர்கள். அப்படியானால் ஓய்வுநாளிலே ஒருவனை முழுவதும் குணமாக்கிய என்மேல் ஏன் கோபம் கொள்கிறீர்கள்?
But if a man is circumcised on the day of shabath because the law of Musha may not be broken, why against me do you murmur, because I have altogether healed a man on the day of shabath?
24 வெளித்தோற்றத்தின்படி தீர்ப்பு செய்வதை நிறுத்துங்கள். நீதியாய் தீர்ப்பு செய்யுங்கள்” என்றார்.
Judge not with acceptance of persons, but righteous judgment judge you.
25 அப்பொழுது எருசலேமைச் சேர்ந்த மக்களில் சிலர், “இந்த மனிதனையல்லவா அவர்கள் கொலைசெய்ய முயற்சிக்கிறார்கள்?
And some of Urishlem said, Is not this he whom they seek to kill?
26 இதோ இங்கே இவர் வெளிப்படையாகப் பேசுகிறார். அவர்கள் இவரை எதிர்த்து ஒரு வார்த்தையும் சொல்லாதிருக்கிறார்கள். ஒருவேளை அதிகாரத்தில் உள்ளவர்கள் இவர்தான் கிறிஸ்து என்று உண்மையாகவே அறிந்துகொண்டார்களோ?
and, behold, openly he discourseth, and nothing say they to him. Do the elders know that this is truly the Meshicha?
27 ஆனால் இந்த மனிதன் எங்கிருந்து வந்திருக்கிறான் என்று நமக்குத் தெரியும்; ஆனால் கிறிஸ்து வரும்போது, அவர் எங்கிருந்து வருகிறார் என்று யாருக்கும் தெரியாதே” என்று பேசத் தொடங்கினார்கள்.
Yet of this we know from whence he is; but when the Meshicha cometh, no man knoweth from whence he is.
28 அப்பொழுது தொடர்ந்து ஆலய முற்றத்தில் போதித்துக்கொண்டிருந்த இயேசு, சத்தமாய் சொன்னதாவது, “ஆம்! நீங்கள் என்னை அறிவீர்கள். நான் எங்கே இருந்து வந்தேன் என்றும் உங்களுக்குத் தெரியும். நான் என் சுயவிருப்பத்தின்படி வரவில்லை. என்னை அனுப்பிய பிதா உண்மையுள்ளவர். நீங்களோ அவரை அறியவில்லை.
Jeshu lifted up his voice as he taught in the temple, and said, You know me, and from whence I am you know: and of myself I am not come; but true is he who sent me, he whom you know not.
29 நானோ பிதாவை அறிந்திருக்கிறேன். ஏனெனில் நான் அவரிடமிருந்து வந்திருக்கிறேன். அவரே என்னை அனுப்பினவர்” என்றார்.
But I know him who am from him; and he hath sent me.
30 அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் இயேசுவைக் கைதுசெய்ய முயன்றார்கள். ஆனால் ஒருவரும் அவர்மேல் கைவைக்கவில்லை. ஏனெனில் அவருடைய நேரம் இன்னும் வரவில்லை.
And they sought to apprehend him; but no man laid hands on him, because not yet was come his hour.
31 ஆனால் கூடியிருந்த மக்களில் பலர் இயேசுவின்மேல் விசுவாசம் வைத்தார்கள். அவர்கள், “கிறிஸ்து வரும்போது, இவர் செய்ததைப் பார்க்கிலும் அதிகமான அடையாளங்களை அவர் செய்வாரோ?” என்றார்கள்.
But many of the multitude believed in him, and said, When the Meshicha is come, will he exceed the miracles which this doeth?
32 கூடியிருந்த மக்கள் இயேசுவைக்குறித்து இப்படிப்பட்ட காரியங்களை தங்களுக்குள் மெதுவாய் பேசிக்கொண்டதை பரிசேயர் கேட்டார்கள். எனவே தலைமை ஆசாரியர்களும் பரிசேயரும் இயேசுவைக் கைதுசெய்யும்படி, ஆலயக்காவலரை அனுப்பினார்கள்.
The Pharishee heard the assembly, that they said these things of him, and the chief priests sent officers to apprehend him.
33 அப்பொழுது இயேசு, “இன்னும் சிறிது காலமே நான் உங்களுடன் இருப்பேன். பின்பு என்னை அனுப்பிய பிதாவிடம் நான் போய்விடுவேன்.
Jeshu said, Yet a little while am I with you, and I go unto him who sent me:
34 நீங்களோ என்னைத் தேடுவீர்கள். ஆனால் என்னைக் காணமாட்டீர்கள். நான் இருக்கும் இடத்திற்கும் உங்களால் வரமுடியாது” என்றார்.
and you will seek me, and shall not find me: and where I am you cannot come.
35 அப்பொழுது யூதத்தலைவர்கள் ஒருவரையொருவர் பார்த்து, “நாம் கண்டுபிடிக்க முடியாதபடி, இவன் எங்குபோக இருக்கிறான்? “கிரேக்கருக்குள்ளே சிதறடிக்கப்பட்டிருக்கின்ற நம் மக்களிடம்போய், அங்கே கிரேக்கருக்குக் போதிக்க போகிறானா?
The Jihudoyee say among themselves, Whither is this about to go, that we cannot find him? To the countries of the nations is he to go, and to teach the Heathens?
36 ‘நீங்களோ என்னைத் தேடுவீர்கள், ஆனால் என்னைக் காணமாட்டீர்கள், நான் இருக்கும் இடத்திற்கு உங்களால் வரமுடியாது’ என்று சொல்லுகிறானே. இதன் அர்த்தம் என்ன?” என்று பேசிக்கொண்டார்கள்.
What is this word he hath said, You shall seek me, and not find me; and where I am you cannot come?
37 பண்டிகையின் கடைசி நாளான அந்தப் பெரிய நாளிலே, இயேசு எழுந்து நின்று சத்தமாய்ச் சொன்னதாவது: “யாராவது தாகமுள்ளவராய் இருந்தால், அவர்கள் என்னிடம் வந்து பானம்பண்ணட்டும்.
BUT in the great day, which was the last of the feast, stood Jeshu and cried, and said, If (any) man thirst, let him come unto me and drink;
38 வேதவசனத்தில் சொல்லியிருக்கிறபடி, என்னை விசுவாசிக்கிறவர்களுடைய உள்ளத்திலிருந்து ஜீவத்தண்ணீர் நதியாய் பெருக்கெடுத்து ஓடும்” என்றார்.
for whosoever believeth in me, as have said the scriptures, rivers of living waters shall flow from his belly.
39 தம்மில் விசுவாசமாய் இருக்கிறவர்கள் பின்னர் பெறப்போகும் பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவரைக் குறித்தே அவர் இப்படிச் சொன்னார். இயேசு இன்னும் மகிமையடையாது இருந்தபடியால், பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவர் இன்னும் கொடுக்கப்படவில்லை.
But this he spake of the Spirit which they should receive who believe in him. For not yet was the Spirit given, because not yet was Jeshu glorified.
40 இயேசுவினுடைய வார்த்தைகளைக் கேட்டுக்கொண்டிருந்த மக்களில் சிலர், “உண்மையிலேயே இவர் வர இருக்கிற இறைவாக்கினனே” என்றார்கள்.
Now many of the assemblies who heard his words said, This is truly the Prophet.
41 வேறுசிலரோ, “இவரே கிறிஸ்து” என்றார்கள். ஆனால் இன்னும் சிலர், “கலிலேயாவிலிருந்து எப்படி கிறிஸ்து வருவார்?
Others said, This is the Meshicha. Others said, How from Galila cometh the Meshicha?
42 கிறிஸ்து தாவீதின் குடும்பத்திலிருந்தும், தாவீது வாழ்ந்த பெத்லகேம் பட்டணத்தில் இருந்து வருவார் என்று வேதவசனம் சொல்லுகிறது அல்லவா?” என்றார்கள்.
Hath not the scripture said, That from the seed of David, and from Beth-lechem the town of David, cometh the Meshicha?
43 இயேசுவின் நிமித்தம் இவ்விதமாய் மக்கள் கருத்து வேறுபட்டார்கள்.
And there was a division concerning him among the assemblies;
44 சிலர் அவரைக் கைதுசெய்ய விரும்பினார்கள். ஆனால் ஒருவரும் அவர்மேல் கைவைக்கவில்லை.
and there were men of them who would have apprehended him; but no man laid hands on him.
45 பின்பு ஆலயக்காவலர், தலைமை ஆசாரியர்களிடமும் பரிசேயரிடமும் போனபோது, “நீங்கள் ஏன் அவனைப் பிடித்துக் கொண்டுவரவில்லை?” என்று கேட்டார்கள்.
AND those officers came to the chief priests and the Pharishee; and the priests said to them, Why have you not brought him?
46 காவலர் அதற்கு மறுமொழியாக, “இந்த மனிதன் பேசியதுபோல் ஒருவனும் ஒருக்காலும் பேசியதில்லையே” என்றார்கள்.
The officers say to them, Never so spake a son of man as speaks this man!
47 அப்பொழுது பரிசேயர் அவர்களிடம், “அவன் உங்களையும் ஏமாற்றி விட்டானா?
The Pharishee say to them, Are you also deceived?
48 ஆளுநர்களில், அல்லது பரிசேயரைச் சேர்ந்த எவராவது இயேசுவை விசுவாசிக்கிறார்களா?
Have any of the heads, or of the Pharishee, believed in him?
49 இல்லையே! ஆனால் இந்த மக்களோ மோசேயின் சட்டத்தை அறியாதவர்கள். இவர்கள்மேல் சாபம் உண்டு” என்றார்கள்.
But if this people who know not the law (believe in him), they are accursed.
50 முன்பு இயேசுவினிடம் போயிருந்தவனும், பரிசேயரைச் சேர்ந்தவனுமான நிக்கொதேமு அவர்களிடம்,
One of them, Nikodimos, he who came to Jeshu by night, saith to them,
51 “ஒருவன் என்ன செய்கிறான் என்று அறியும்படி முதலாவது அவனை விசாரிக்காமல், அவனுக்கு நமது மோசேயின் சட்டம் தண்டனைத்தீர்ப்பு கொடுக்கிறதா?” என்று கேட்டான்.
Does our law condemn a man unless it shall hear from him first, and know what he hath done?
52 அதற்கு அவர்கள் அவனிடம், “நீயும் கலிலேயாவைச் சேர்ந்தவனா? வேதவசனத்தை ஆராய்ந்து பார். அப்பொழுது கலிலேயாவிலிருந்து இறைவாக்கினர் யாரும் வருவதில்லை என்பதைக் கண்டுகொள்வாய்” என்றார்கள்.
They answered and said to him, Art thou also of Galila? Investigate, and see, that the Prophet from Galila ariseth not.
53 பின்பு ஒவ்வொருவரும் தங்கள் தங்கள் வீட்டிற்குச் சென்றார்கள்.
