யோவான் 2
1 இவை நடந்து மூன்றாவது நாளிலே கலிலேயாவிலுள்ள கானா என்ற ஊரிலே ஒரு திருமணம் நடைபெற்றது. இயேசுவின் தாயும் அங்கே இருந்தாள்.
And the thirde day, was there a mariage in Cana a towne of Galile, and the mother of Iesus was there.
2 இயேசுவும் அவருடைய சீடர்களுங்கூட அந்தத் திருமணத்திற்கு அழைக்கப்பட்டிருந்தார்கள்.
And Iesus was called also, and his disciples vnto the mariage.
3 திராட்சைரசம் தீர்ந்துபோனபோது, இயேசுவின் தாய் அவரிடத்தில், “திராட்சைரசம் தீர்ந்துவிட்டது” என்று சொன்னாள்.
Nowe when the wine failed, the mother of Iesus saide vnto him, They haue no wine.
4 அப்பொழுது இயேசு, அம்மா, நான் உங்களுக்கு என்ன செய்யவேண்டும்? “என் நேரம் இன்னும் வரவில்லையா?” என்றார்.
Iesus saide vnto her, Woman, what haue I to doe with thee? mine houre is not yet come.
5 இயேசுவின் தாயோ வேலைக்காரரைப் பார்த்து, “அவர் உங்களுக்கு எதைச் சொல்கிறாரோ அதைச் செய்யுங்கள்” என்றாள்.
His mother saide vnto the seruants, Whatsoeuer he sayeth vnto you, doe it.
6 அவ்விடத்தின் அருகில், தண்ணீர் வைக்கும் ஆறு கற்சாடிகள் இருந்தன. இவ்விதமான கற்சாடிகளையே யூதர்கள் சடங்காச்சாரச் சுத்திகரிப்புக்கு உபயோகித்தார்கள். ஒவ்வொரு கற்சாடியும் இருபதிலிருந்து முப்பது குடங்கள்வரைத் தண்ணீர் கொள்ளும்.
And there were set there, sixe waterpots of stone, after the maner of the purifying of the Iewes, conteining two or three firkins a piece.
7 இயேசு வேலைக்காரரிடம், “அந்தக் கற்சாடிகளில் தண்ணீரை நிரப்புங்கள்” என்றார்; அப்படியே அவர்கள் நிரம்பி வழியத்தக்கதாய் நிரப்பினார்கள்.
And Iesus sayde vnto them, Fill the waterpots with water. Then they filled them vp to the brim.
8 அப்பொழுது இயேசு அவர்களிடம், “இதிலிருந்து மொண்டு, பந்திவிசாரிப்புக்காரனிடம் கொடுங்கள்” என்றார். அவர்கள் அப்படியே செய்தார்கள்.
Then he sayde vnto them, Draw out nowe and beare vnto the gouernour of the feast. So they bare it.
9 பந்தி விசாரிப்புக்காரன், திராட்சை இரசமாய் மாறியிருந்த அந்தத் தண்ணீரை ருசித்துப் பார்த்தான். அது எங்கேயிருந்து வந்தது என்று அவனுக்குத் தெரியாதிருந்தது; ஆனால் தண்ணீரை நிரப்பிய வேலைக்காரருக்கே அது தெரிந்திருந்தது. அப்பொழுது பந்தி விசாரிப்புக்காரன் மணமகனை ஒரு பக்கமாய் கூட்டிக்கொண்டுபோய்,
Nowe when the gouernour of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, (for he knewe not whence it was: but the seruants, which drewe the water, knewe) the gouernour of ye feast called the bridegrome,
10 அவனிடம், “சிறந்த திராட்சை இரசத்தையே எல்லோரும் முதலில் கொடுப்பார்கள். விருந்தாளிகள் நிறைய குடித்த பின்பே தரம் குறைந்த இரசத்தைக் கொடுப்பார்கள். ஆனால் நீரோ சிறந்த இரசத்தை இவ்வளவு நேரமாய் வைத்திருந்திருக்கிறீரே” என்றான்.
And saide vnto him, All men at the beginning set foorth good wine, and when men haue well drunke, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept backe the good wine vntill nowe.
11 இதுவே இயேசு செய்த அடையாளங்களில் முதலாவது அடையாளம் ஆகும். அதை அவர் கலிலேயாவிலுள்ள கானாவிலே செய்தார். இவ்விதமாய் இயேசு தம்முடைய மகிமையை வெளிப்படுத்தினார். இதனால் அவருடைய சீடர்கள் அவரிடத்தில் விசுவாசம் வைத்தார்கள்.
This beginning of miracles did Iesus in Cana a towne of Galile, and shewed forth his glorie: and his disciples beleeued on him.
12 இதற்குப் பின்பு இயேசு தம்முடைய தாயோடும், சகோதரரோடும், தம்முடைய சீடரோடும் கப்பர்நகூமுக்குச் சென்றார். அங்கே அவர்கள் சிலநாட்கள் தங்கினார்கள்.
After that, he went downe into Capernaum, he and his mother, and his brethren, and his disciples: but they continued not many daies there.
13 யூதருடைய பஸ்கா என்ற பண்டிகைக்கான காலம் நெருங்கி வந்தபோது, இயேசு எருசலேமுக்குச் சென்றார்.
For the Iewes Passeouer was at hande. Therefore Iesus went vp to Hierusalem.
14 ஆலய முற்றத்திலே ஆடுமாடுகளையும், புறாக்களையும் விற்கிறவர்களை அவர் கண்டார். இன்னும் சிலர் அங்கே உட்கார்ந்து மேஜைகளிலே நாணய மாற்று வியாபாரத்தில் ஈடுபட்டுக் கொண்டிருப்பதையும் கண்டார்.
And he found in the Temple those that sold oxen, and sheepe, and doues, and changers of money, sitting there.
15 எனவே இயேசு ஒரு கயிற்றைச் சவுக்கைப்போல் முறுக்கி எடுத்துக்கொண்டு, அவர்கள் எல்லோரையும் ஆலயப் பகுதியில் இருந்து துரத்தினார். ஆடுமாடுகளையும் துரத்தினார். நாணயம் மாற்றுவதில் ஈடுபட்டிருந்தவர்களின் நாணயங்களை எல்லாம் அவர் கொட்டிச் சிதறடித்து, அவர்களுடைய மேஜைகளைப் புரட்டித்தள்ளினார்.
Then hee made a scourge of small cordes, and draue them all out of the Temple with the sheepe and oxen, and powred out the changers money, and ouerthrewe the tables,
16 இயேசு புறாக்களை விற்றுக் கொண்டிருந்தவர்களைப் பார்த்து, “இவைகளை இங்கிருந்து அகற்றிவிடுங்கள். என்னுடைய பிதாவின் வீட்டைச் சந்தையாக மாற்ற எப்படித் துணிந்தீர்கள்!” என்றார்.
And said vnto them that solde doues, Take these things hence: make not my fathers house, an house of marchandise.
17 அப்பொழுது இயேசுவினுடைய சீடர்களுக்கு, “உம்முடைய வீட்டைக் குறித்த பக்தி வைராக்கியம் என்னைச் சுட்டெரித்தது” என்று எழுதப்பட்டிருப்பது நினைவுக்கு வந்தது.
And his disciples remembred, that it was written, The zeale of thine house hath eaten me vp.
18 பின்பு யூதர்கள் அவரிடம், “இவைகளை எல்லாம் நீர் செய்கிறீரே, இதை எந்த அதிகாரத்தோடு செய்கிறீர் என்று நாங்கள் அறிவதற்கு, நீர் எங்களுக்கு என்ன அற்புத அடையாளத்தைச் செய்துகாட்டுவீர்?” என்று கேட்டார்கள்.
Then answered the Iewes, and saide vnto him, What signe shewest thou vnto vs, that thou doest these things?
19 இயேசு அவர்களுக்குப் பதிலாக, “இந்த ஆலயத்தை இடித்துப்போடுங்கள். நான் அதைத் திரும்பவும் மூன்று நாளில் எழுப்புவேன்” என்றார்.
Iesus answered, and said vnto them, Destroy this Temple, and in three daies I will raise it vp againe.
20 அதற்கு யூதர்கள், “இந்த ஆலயத்தைக் கட்டுவதற்கு நாற்பத்தாறு வருடங்கள் எடுத்தன. நீர் இதை மூன்று நாட்களில் எழுப்புவீரோ?” என்றார்கள்.
Then said the Iewes, Fourtie and sixe yeeres was this Temple a building, and wilt thou reare it vp in three daies?
21 ஆனால் இயேசு குறிப்பிட்டுச் சொன்னதோ தமது உடலாகிய ஆலயத்தையே.
But he spake of the temple of his bodie.
22 இயேசு இப்படிச் சொல்லியது அவர் மரித்தவர்களில் இருந்து உயிரோடு எழுந்தபின், சீடர்களுடைய நினைவுக்கு வந்தது, அவர்கள் வேதவசனத்தையும் இயேசு பேசிய வார்த்தைகளையும் விசுவாசித்தார்கள்.
Assoone therefore as he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembred that hee thus sayde vnto them: and they beleeued the Scripture, and the worde which Iesus had saide.
23 பஸ்கா என்ற பண்டிகையின்போது இயேசு எருசலேமில் இருக்கையில், அநேக மக்கள் அவரால் செய்யப்பட்ட அடையாளங்களைக் கண்டு, அவருடைய பெயரிலே விசுவாசம் வைத்தார்கள்.
Nowe when hee was at Hierusalem at the Passeouer in the feast, many beleeued in his Name, when they sawe his miracles which he did.
24 ஆனால் இயேசுவோ எல்லா மனிதரையும் அறிந்திருந்தபடியால், அவர்களுக்கு இணங்கவில்லை.
But Iesus did not commit him selfe vnto them, because he knewe them all,
25 மனிதனைக் குறித்து இயேசுவுக்கு யாரும் சாட்சி சொல்லவேண்டிய அவசியம் இருக்கவில்லை. ஏனெனில் அவர் மனிதனின் உள்ளத்தை அறிந்திருந்தார்.
And had no neede that any should testifie of man: for he knewe what was in man.
