யோவான் 11
1 லாசரு என்னும் ஒருவன் வியாதியாயிருந்தான். அவன் பெத்தானியா ஊரைச் சேர்ந்தவன். அவன் அங்கே தனது சகோதரிகளான மரியாளுடனும் மார்த்தாளுடனும் வாழ்ந்து வந்தான்.
And there was a certain one ailing, Lazarus, from Bethany, of the village of Mary and Martha her sister—
2 வியாதியாய் இருக்கிற லாசருவின் சகோதரியான இந்த மரியாளே, பின்பு கர்த்தர்மேல் நறுமண தைலத்தை ஊற்றி அவருடைய பாதங்களைத் தன்னுடைய தலைமுடியினால் துடைத்தவள்.
and it was Mary who anointed the LORD with ointment, and wiped His feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was ailing—
3 லாசருவின் சகோதரிகள், “ஆண்டவரே, நீர் நேசிக்கிறவன் வியாதியாக இருக்கிறான்” என்ற செய்தியை அனுப்பினார்கள்.
therefore the sisters sent to Him, saying, “Lord, behold, he whom You cherish is ailing”;
4 இயேசு இதைக் கேட்டபோது அவர், “இந்த வியாதி மரணத்தில் முடிவடையாது. இது இறைவனுடைய மகிமைக்காகவும், இதன் மூலமாக மானிடமகனும் மகிமைப்படுவார்” என்றார்.
and Jesus having heard, said, “This ailment is not to death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified through it.”
5 இயேசு மார்த்தாளிடமும், அவளுடைய சகோதரியிடமும், லாசருவிடமும் அன்பாயிருந்தார்.
And Jesus was loving Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus,
6 ஆனால் லாசரு வியாதியாயிருக்கிறான் என்று அவர் கேள்விப்பட்டபோது, தாம் இருந்த இடத்தில் இன்னும் இரண்டு நாள் தங்கியிருந்தார்.
when, therefore, He heard that he is ailing, then indeed He remained in the place in which He was two days,
7 பின்பு இயேசு தமது சீடர்களிடம், “மீண்டும் நாம் யூதேயாவுக்குப் போவோம் வாருங்கள்” என்றார்.
then after this, He says to the disciples, “We may go to Judea again”;
8 ஆனால் அவர்களோ, “போதகரே, சற்று முன்னதாகத் தான் யூதர்கள் உம்மேல் கல்லெறிய முயன்றார்கள். மீண்டும் அங்குப் போகிறீரா?” என்று கேட்டார்கள்.
the disciples say to Him, “Rabbi, the Jews were just seeking to stone You, and again You go there?”
9 இயேசு அதற்கு மறுமொழியாக, “பகலுக்குப் பன்னிரண்டு மணிநேரம் இருக்கின்றதல்லவா? பகல் வேளையில் நடக்கிறவன் உலகத்தின் வெளிச்சத்தைக் காண்கிறதால், அவன் இடறிவிழமாட்டான்.
Jesus answered, “Are there not twelve hours in the day? If anyone may walk in the day, he does not stumble, because he sees the light of this world;
10 அவன் இரவில் நடக்கிறபோது அவனுக்கு வெளிச்சம் இல்லாதபடியால், அவன் இடறிவிழுகிறான்” என்றார்.
and if anyone may walk in the night, he stumbles, because the light is not in him.”
11 இயேசு அவர்களுக்கு மேலும் சொன்னதாவது: “நம்முடைய சிநேகிதன் லாசரு நித்திரையாயிருக்கிறான்; நான் அங்கேபோய் அவனை எழுப்பப்போகிறேன்” என்றார்.
He said these things, and after this He says to them, “Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep, but I go on that I may awake him”;
12 சீடர்கள் அதற்கு மறுமொழியாக, “போதகரே, அவன் நித்திரையாயிருந்தால் அவன் சுகமடைவான்” என்றார்கள்.
therefore His disciples said, “Lord, if he has fallen asleep, he will be saved”;
13 இயேசு அவனுடைய மரணத்தைக் குறித்துப் பேசினார். அவருடைய சீடர்களோ இயல்பான நித்திரையைக் குறித்தே அவர் சொன்னார் என்று நினைத்தார்கள்.
but Jesus had spoken about his death, but they thought that He speaks about the repose of sleep.
14 அப்பொழுது இயேசு, “லாசரு இறந்துவிட்டான்” என்று வெளிப்படையாக அவர்களுக்குச் சொல்லி,
Then, therefore, Jesus said to them freely, “Lazarus has died;
15 “நான் அங்கே இல்லாததைக் குறித்து, உங்கள் நிமித்தம் மகிழ்ச்சியடைகிறேன். ஏனெனில் நீங்கள் விசுவாசிப்பதற்கு அது உதவியாயிருக்கும். நாம் அவனிடம் போவோம் வாருங்கள்” என்றார்.
and I rejoice, for your sake (that you may believe), that I was not there; but we may go to him”;
16 அப்பொழுது திதிமு எனப்பட்ட தோமா மற்றச் சீடர்களைப் பார்த்து, “நாமும் சாகும்படி அவருடன் போவோம், வாருங்கள்” என்றான்.
therefore Thomas, who is called Didymus, said to the fellow-disciples, “We may go—we also, that we may die with Him,”
17 இயேசு வந்து சேர்ந்தபோது, லாசரு கல்லறையில் வைக்கப்பட்டு ஏற்கெனவே நான்கு நாட்களாகிவிட்டன என்று கண்டார்.
Jesus, therefore, having come, found him having already been four days in the tomb.
18 பெத்தானியா எருசலேமில் இருந்து இரண்டு மைல்களுக்கும் குறைவான தூரத்திலேயே இருந்தது.
And Bethany was near to Jerusalem, about fifteen stadia off,
19 இறந்துபோன அவர்களுடைய சகோதரனின் நிமித்தம், மார்த்தாளுக்கும் மரியாளுக்கும் ஆறுதல் சொல்வதற்கு அநேக யூதர்கள் அங்கே வந்திருந்தார்கள்.
and many of the Jews had come to Martha and Mary, that they might comfort them concerning their brother;
20 இயேசு வருகிறார் என்று மார்த்தாள் கேள்விப்பட்டபோது, அவரைச் சந்திப்பதற்கு அவள் புறப்பட்டுப் போனாள். ஆனால் மரியாளோ வீட்டிலேயே இருந்துவிட்டாள்.
Martha, therefore, when she heard that Jesus comes, met Him, and Mary kept sitting in the house.
21 மார்த்தாள் இயேசுவைப் பார்த்து, “ஆண்டவரே, நீர் இங்கே இருந்திருந்தால், எனது சகோதரன் மரித்திருக்கமாட்டான்.
Martha, therefore, said to Jesus, “Lord, if You had been here, my brother had not died;
22 இப்பொழுதும்கூட நீர் கேட்பது எதுவோ அதை இறைவன் உமக்குக் கொடுப்பார் என்று நான் அறிந்திருக்கிறேன்” என்றாள்.
but even now, I have known that whatever You may ask of God, God will give to You”;
23 அப்பொழுது இயேசு அவளைப் பார்த்து, “உன்னுடைய சகோதரன் மீண்டும் உயிருடன் எழுந்திருப்பான்” என்றார்.
Jesus says to her, “Your brother will rise again.”
24 அதற்கு மார்த்தாள், “கடைசி நாளில் நடைபெறும் உயிர்த்தெழுதலில் அவன் உயிரோடு எழுந்திருப்பான் என்று எனக்குத் தெரியும்” என்றாள்.
Martha says to Him, “I have known that he will rise again in the resurrection in the last day”;
25 அப்பொழுது இயேசு அவளிடம், “உயிரும், உயிர்த்தெழுதலும் நானே. என்னில் விசுவாசமாயிருக்கிறவன், மரித்தாலும் உயிர்வாழ்வான்.
Jesus said to her, “I AM the resurrection, and the life; he who is believing in Me, even if he may die, will live;
26 உயிரோடிருந்து என்னில் விசுவாசிக்கிறவன் எவனும் ஒருநாளும் மரிக்கமாட்டான். நீ இதை விசுவாசிக்கிறாயா?” என்று கேட்டார். (aiōn g165)
and everyone who is living and believing in Me will not die—throughout the age; (aiōn g165)
27 அதற்கு அவள், “ஆம் ஆண்டவரே, நீர் இறைவனின் மகன், உலகத்திற்கு வருகிற கிறிஸ்து. நான் இதை விசுவாசிக்கிறேன்” என்றாள்.
do you believe this?” She says to Him, “Yes, Lord, I have believed that You are the Christ, the Son of God, who is coming into the world.”
28 அவள் இதைச் சொன்னபின்பு திரும்பிப்போய். தன்னுடைய சகோதரி மரியாளை இரகசியமாகக் கூட்டிக்கொண்டுபோய், “போதகர் வந்து இருக்கிறார். அவர் உன்னைக் கூப்பிடுகிறார்” என்றாள்.
And having said these things, she went away, and called Mary her sister privately, saying, “The Teacher is present, and calls you”;
29 மரியாள் இதைக் கேட்டபோது, விரைவாய் எழுந்து அவரிடம் போனாள்.
she, when she heard, rises up quickly, and comes to Him;
30 இயேசு இன்னும் கிராமத்திற்குள் வராமல், தான் மார்த்தாளைச் சந்தித்த இடத்திலேயே இருந்தார்.
and Jesus had not yet come into the village, but was in the place where Martha met Him;
31 வீட்டிலே மரியாளுடன் இருந்து அவளுக்கு ஆறுதல் கூறிய யூதர்கள், அவள் விரைவாய் எழுந்து புறப்பட்டுப் போகிறதைக் கண்டபோது, அவர்களும் அவள் பின்னே சென்றார்கள். அவள் அழுவதற்காக கல்லறைக்குப் போகிறாள் என்றே அவர்கள் நினைத்தார்கள்.
the Jews, therefore, who were with her in the house, and were comforting her, having seen Mary that she rose up quickly and went forth, followed her, saying, “She goes away to the tomb, that she may weep there.”
32 இயேசு இருந்த இடத்திற்கு மரியாள் போய்ச் சேர்ந்தபோது, அவள் அவரைக்கண்டு, அவருடைய பாதத்தில் விழுந்து, “ஆண்டவரே, நீர் இங்கே இருந்திருந்தால், என்னுடைய சகோதரன் மரித்திருக்கமாட்டான்” என்றாள்.
Mary, therefore, when she came where Jesus was, having seen Him, fell at His feet, saying to Him, “Lord, if You had been here, my brother had not died”;
33 அவள் அழுவதையும், அவளுடன் வந்திருந்த யூதர்கள் அழுவதையும் இயேசு கண்டபோது, அவர் ஆவியில் கலங்கி, துயரமடைந்து,
Jesus, therefore, when He saw her weeping, and the Jews who came with her weeping, groaned in the spirit, and troubled Himself, and He said,
34 “அவனை எங்கே வைத்திருக்கிறீர்கள்?” என்று கேட்டார். அதற்கு அவர்கள், “ஆண்டவரே வாரும், வந்துபாரும்” என்றார்கள்.
“Where have you laid him?” They say to Him, “Lord, come and see”;
35 இயேசு கண்ணீர்விட்டார்.
Jesus wept.
36 அதைக்கண்ட யூதர்கள், “பாருங்கள், இவர் லாசருமீது எவ்வளவு அன்பாயிருந்தார்!” என்றார்கள்.
The Jews, therefore, said, “Behold, how He was cherishing him!”
37 ஆனால் அவர்களில் சிலரோ, “பார்வையற்றவனுடைய கண்களைத் திறந்த இவர், அவனைச் சாகாமல் காத்திருக்கலாமே?” என்றார்கள்.
And certain of them said, “Was not this One, who opened the eyes of the blind man, also able to cause that this one might not have died?”
38 இயேசு மீண்டும் துயரமுடையவராய் கல்லறைக்கு வந்தார். அது ஒரு குகையாய் இருந்தது. அதன் வாசலிலே ஒரு கல் வைக்கப்பட்டிருந்தது.
Jesus, therefore, again groaning in Himself, comes to the tomb, and it was a cave, and a stone was lying on it,
39 இயேசு அங்கு நின்றவர்களைப் பார்த்து, “அந்தக் கல்லை அகற்றுங்கள்” என்றார். அப்பொழுது இறந்தவனுடைய சகோதரியாகிய மார்த்தாள், “ஆண்டவரே, இப்பொழுது அது நாற்றம் வீசுமே. அங்கே, அவனை வைத்து நான்கு நாட்கள் ஆயிற்றே” என்றாள்.
Jesus says, “Take away the stone”; the sister of him who has died—Martha—says to Him, “Lord, he already stinks, for he is four days dead”;
40 அப்பொழுது இயேசு, “நீ விசுவாசித்தால், இறைவனுடைய மகிமையைக் காண்பாய் என்று நான் உனக்குச் சொல்லவில்லையா?” என்று கேட்டார்.
Jesus says to her, “Did I not say to you that if you may believe, you will see the glory of God?”
41 எனவே அவர்கள் அந்தக் கல்லை அகற்றினார்கள். இயேசு அண்ணார்ந்து பார்த்து, “பிதாவே, நீர் எனக்குச் செவிகொடுத்துக் கேட்டபடியால் உமக்கு நன்றி செலுத்துகிறேன்.
Therefore they took away the stone where the dead was laid, and Jesus lifted His eyes upwards, and said, “Father, I thank You that You heard Me;
42 நீர் எப்பொழுதும் எனக்கு செவிகொடுக்கிறீர் என்பதை நான் அறிவேன். ஆனால் இங்கு நிற்கிற மக்கள் நீரே என்னை அனுப்பினீர் என்று விசுவாசிக்கும்படி இதைச் சொன்னேன்” என்றார்.
and I knew that You always hear Me, but because of the multitude that is standing by, I said [it], that they may believe that You sent Me.”
43 இயேசு இதைச் சொன்னபின்பு, அவனை உரத்த குரலில், “லாசருவே, வெளியே வா!” என்று கூப்பிட்டார்.
And saying these things, He cried out with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come forth!”
44 மரித்துபோனவன் வெளியே வந்தான். அவனுடைய கைகளும் கால்களும் மென்பட்டு துணிகளால் சுற்றப்பட்டிருந்தன. அவனுடைய முகத்தைச் சுற்றியும் ஒரு துணி கட்டப்பட்டிருந்தது. இயேசு அவர்களைப் பார்த்து, “பிரேதத் துணிகளை அவிழ்த்து அவனைப் போகவிடுங்கள்” என்றார்.
And he who died came forth, feet and hands being bound with grave-clothes, and his face was bound around with a napkin; Jesus says to them, “Loose him, and permit to go.”
45 மரியாளைச் சந்திக்க வந்திருந்த பல யூதர்கள் இயேசு செய்ததைக் கண்டு அவரில் விசுவாசம் வைத்தார்கள்.
Many, therefore, of the Jews who came to Mary, and beheld what Jesus did, believed in Him;
46 ஆனால் அவர்களில் சிலர் பரிசேயரிடத்தில் போய், இயேசு செய்ததைக் குறித்துச் சொன்னார்கள்.
but certain of them went away to the Pharisees, and told them what Jesus did;
47 அப்பொழுது தலைமை ஆசாரியர்களும் பரிசேயரும் ஆலோசனைச் சங்கத்தைக் கூட்டினார்கள். அவர்கள், “நாம் என்ன செய்துகொண்டிருக்கிறோம்? இதோ இவன் பல அடையாளங்களைச் செய்கிறானே.
the chief priests, therefore, and the Pharisees, gathered together [the] Sanhedrin and said, “What may we do? Because this Man does many signs?
48 நாம் இப்படியே இவனைப் போகவிட்டால், எல்லோரும் இவனில் விசுவாசம் வைப்பார்கள். அப்பொழுது ரோமர்கள் வந்து நமது ஆலயத்தையும், நமது ஜனத்தையும் அழித்துப்போடுவார்களே” என்றார்கள்.
If we may leave Him alone thus, all will believe in Him; and the Romans will come, and will take away both our place and nation.”
49 அப்பொழுது அந்த வருடத்துப் பிரதான ஆசாரியனான காய்பா எனப்பட்ட ஒருவன் அவர்களிடம், “நீங்கள் எதுவுமே தெரியாதவர்களாய் இருக்கிறீர்களே.
And a certain one of them, Caiaphas, being chief priest of that year, said to them, “You have not known anything,
50 மக்கள் அழிவதைப் பார்க்கிலும், மக்களுக்காக ஒருவன் சாவது நல்லது என்று நீங்கள் புரிந்துகொள்ளாமல் இருக்கிறீர்கள்” என்றான்.
nor reason that it is good for us that one man may die for the people, and not the whole nation perish.”
51 இதை அவன் தன்னுடைய சுயமாகச் சிந்தித்துச் சொல்லவில்லை. அந்த வருடத்துப் பிரதான ஆசாரியன் என்ற வகையில் யூத மக்களுக்காக இயேசு மரிக்கப்போகிறார் என்று இறைவாக்காகவே இதைச் சொன்னான்.
And he did not say this of himself, but being chief priest of that year, he prophesied that Jesus was about to die for the nation,
52 இஸ்ரயேல் மக்களுக்காக மாத்திரமல்ல, சிதறி இருக்கும் இறைவனுடைய பிள்ளைகளை ஒன்றுச் சேர்க்கும்படியும் மரிக்கப்போகிறார் என்பதை அவன் சொன்னான்.
and not for the nation only, but that also the children of God, who have been scattered abroad, He may gather together into one.
53 எனவே அன்றிலிருந்து அவர்கள் அவரைக் கொலைசெய்வதற்குச் சூழ்ச்சி செய்தார்கள்.
From that day, therefore, they took counsel together that they may kill Him;
54 ஆகவே இயேசு தொடர்ந்து யூதர்கள் மத்தியிலே வெளிப்படையாக நடமாடவில்லை. அவர் பாலைவனத்தின் அருகே உள்ள பகுதிக்குப் போய், அங்கே எப்பிராயீம் எனப்பட்ட ஒரு கிராமத்தில் தம்முடைய சீடர்களுடனே தங்கினார்.
Jesus, therefore, was no longer freely walking among the Jews, but went away from there into the region near the wilderness, to a city called Ephraim, and there He tarried with His disciples.
55 யூதர்களுடைய பஸ்கா என்ற பண்டிகைக் காலம் நெருங்கி வந்தது. அப்பொழுது பஸ்கா என்ற பண்டிகைக்கு முன்னதாகவே தங்களுடைய சுத்திகரிப்பைச் செய்துகொள்ளும்படி, அநேகர் நாட்டுப் புறத்திலிருந்து எருசலேமுக்குச் சென்றார்கள்.
And the Passover of the Jews was near, and many went up to Jerusalem out of the country before the Passover, that they might purify themselves;
56 அவர்கள் இயேசுவைப் பார்க்க விரும்பித்தேடினார்கள். அவர்கள் ஆலயப் பகுதியில் நின்றுகொண்டு ஒருவரையொருவர் பார்த்து, “நீங்கள் என்ன நினைக்கிறீர்கள்? இந்தப் பண்டிகைக்கு அவர் வருவாரா?” என்று கேட்டார்கள்.
therefore they were seeking Jesus and said with one another, standing in the temple, “What appears to you—that He may not come to the celebration?”
57 ஆனால் தலைமை ஆசாரியர்களும் பரிசேயர்களும் யாராவது இயேசு இருக்கும் இடத்தை அறிந்தால், அவரைக் கைதுசெய்யும்படி அதைத் தங்களுக்குத் தெரிவிக்க வேண்டும் என்று உத்தரவிட்டிருந்தார்கள்.
And both the chief priests and the Pharisees had given a command, that if anyone may know where He is, he may show [it], so that they may seize Him.
