யோபு 9
1 அப்பொழுது யோபு மறுமொழியாக சொன்னது:
And Job made answer and said,
2 “நீ சொல்வது உண்மையென நான் அறிவேன். மனிதன் எப்படி இறைவனுக்கு முன்பாக நீதிமானாக இருக்கமுடியும்?
Truly, I see that it is so: and how is it possible for a man to get his right before God?
3 இறைவனோடு மனிதன் வாதாட விரும்பினால், அவர் கேட்கும் ஆயிரத்தில் ஒரு கேள்விக்குக்கூட அவனால் பதிலளிக்க முடியாது.
If a man was desiring to go to law with him, he would not be able to give him an answer to one out of a thousand questions.
4 இறைவன் இருதயத்தில் ஞானமுள்ளவர், வல்லமையில் பலமுள்ளவர். அவரை எதிர்த்து சேதமின்றித் தப்பினவன் யார்?
He is wise in heart and great in strength: who ever made his face hard against him, and any good came of it?
5 அவர் மலைகளை அவைகளுக்குத் தெரியாமலே நகர்த்துகிறார்; அவர் தன் கோபத்தில் அவற்றைப் புரட்டிப் போடுகிறார்.
It is he who takes away the mountains without their knowledge, overturning them in his wrath:
6 அவர் பூமியின் தூண்கள் அதிரும்படி அதை அதின், இடத்திலிருந்து அசையவைக்கிறார்.
Who is moving the earth out of its place, so that its pillars are shaking:
7 அவர் கட்டளையிட்டால், சூரியனும் ஒளி கொடாதிருக்கும்; நட்சத்திரங்களின் ஒளியையும் மூடி மறைக்கிறார்.
Who gives orders to the sun, and it does not give its light; and who keeps the stars from shining.
8 அவர் தனிமையாகவே வானங்களை விரித்து, கடல் அலைகளின்மேல் மிதிக்கிறார்.
By whose hand the heavens were stretched out, and who is walking on the waves of the sea:
9 சப்தரிஷி, மிருகசீரிடம், கார்த்திகை நட்சத்திரங்களையும், தென்திசை நட்சத்திரக் கூட்டங்களையும் படைத்தவர் அவரே.
Who made the Bear and Orion, and the Pleiades, and the store-houses of the south:
10 அவர் ஆழ்ந்தறிய முடியாத அதிசயங்களையும் அவர் கணக்கிடமுடியாத அற்புதங்களையும் செய்கிறார்.
Who does great things not to be searched out; yes, wonders without number.
11 அவர் என்னைக் கடந்து செல்லும்போது, அவரை என்னால் காணமுடியாது; அவர் என் அருகில் வரும்போது, அவரை என்னால் பார்க்க முடியாது.
See, he goes past me and I see him not: he goes on before, but I have no knowledge of him.
12 அவர் எதையும் பறித்தெடுத்தால் அதை யாரால் நிறுத்த முடியும்? ‘நீர் என்ன செய்கிறீர்?’ என யாரால் அவரிடம் கேட்க முடியும்?
If he puts out his hand to take, by whom may it be turned back? who may say to him, What are you doing?
13 இறைவன் தமது கோபத்தைக் கட்டுப்படுத்தவில்லை; ராகாப் என்ற பெரிய விலங்கைச் சேர்ந்தவர்களும் அவருடைய காலடியில் அடங்கிக் கிடந்தனர்.
God's wrath may not be turned back; the helpers of Rahab were bent down under him.
14 “இப்படியிருக்க, நான் அவரோடு எப்படி விவாதம் செய்வேன்? அவரோடு வாதாடும் வார்த்தைகளை நான் எங்கே கண்டுபிடிப்பேன்?
How much less may I give an answer to him, using the right words in argument with him?
15 நான் நீதிமானாயிருந்தாலும் என்னால் அவருடன் வழக்காட முடியாது; எனது நீதிபதியிடம் இரக்கத்திற்காக மன்றாடத்தான் என்னால் முடியும்.
Even if my cause was good, I would not be able to give an answer; I would make request for grace from him who was against me.
16 அவர் என் அழைப்பிற்கு இணங்கினாலும், என் விண்ணப்பத்திற்குச் செவிகொடுப்பார் என நான் நம்பவில்லை.
If I had sent for him to be present, and he had come, I would have no faith that he would give ear to my voice.
17 அவர் என்னைப் புயலினால் தாக்குவார்; காரணமில்லாமல் அவர் என் காயங்களைப் பலுகச்செய்வார்.
For I would be crushed by his storm, my wounds would be increased without cause.
18 அவர் என்னைத் திரும்பவும் மூச்சுவிட முடியாமல் துன்பத்திற்குள் அமிழ்த்தி விடுவார்.
He would not let me take my breath, but I would be full of bitter grief.
19 பெலத்தை மட்டும் எடுத்துக்கொண்டால் அவரே வல்லமையுடையவர். நீதியை எடுத்துக்கொண்டால் அவரை விசாரணைக்கு அழைப்பவன் யார்?
If it is a question of strength, he says, Here I am! and if it is a question of a cause at law, he says, Who will give me a fixed day?
20 நான் மாசற்றவனாய் இருந்தாலும் என் வாயே எனக்குக் குற்றத் தீர்ப்பளிக்கும்; நான் குற்றமற்றவனாய் இருந்தாலும், அது என்னைக் குற்றவாளி எனத் தீர்க்கும்.
Though I was in the right, he would say that I was in the wrong; I have done no evil; but he says that I am a sinner.
21 “நான் குற்றமற்றவன், என்னைப்பற்றி எனக்கு அக்கறையில்லை; என் சொந்த வாழ்வையே நான் வெறுக்கிறேன்.
I have done no wrong; I give no thought to what becomes of me; I have no desire for life.
22 எல்லாம் ஒன்றுதான்; அதினால்தான் நான் சொல்கிறேன், ‘குற்றமற்றவர்களையும், கொடியவர்களையும் அவர் அழிக்கிறார்.’
It is all the same to me; so I say, He puts an end to the sinner and to him who has done no wrong together.
23 வாதை திடீர் மரணத்தைக் கொண்டுவரும்போது, அவர் குற்றமற்றவனின் தவிப்பைக் கண்டு ஏளனம் செய்கிறார்.
If death comes suddenly through disease, he makes sport of the fate of those who have done no wrong.
24 நாடு கொடியவர்களின் கையில் விழும்போது, அவர் அதின் நீதிபதிகளின் கண்களை மூடிக் கட்டுகிறார். அவர் அதைச் செய்யவில்லையென்றால் அதைச் செய்வது வேறு யார்?
The land is given into the power of the evil-doer; the faces of its judges are covered; if not by him, then who has done it?
25 “எனது நாட்கள் ஓடுபவனைவிட வேகமாய்ப் போகின்றன; அவை ஒருகண நேர மகிழ்ச்சியும் இல்லாமல் பறந்து போகின்றன.
My days go quicker than a post-runner: they go in flight, they see no good.
26 நாணல் படகுகள் வேகமாகச் செல்வது போலவும், தங்கள் இரைமேல் பாய்கிற கழுகுகளைப் போலவும் அவை பறந்து போகின்றன.
They go rushing on like reed-boats, like an eagle dropping suddenly on its food.
27 ‘நான் என் குற்றச்சாட்டை மறந்து, என் முகபாவனையை மாற்றி சிரிப்பேன்’ என்று சொன்னாலும்,
If I say, I will put my grief out of mind, I will let my face be sad no longer and I will be bright;
28 நான் இன்னும் என் பாடுகளைக் குறித்துத் திகிலடைகிறேன்; நீர் என்னைக் குற்றமற்றவனாக எண்ணமாட்டீர் என்றும் அறிவேன்.
I go in fear of all my pains; I am certain that I will not be free from sin in your eyes.
29 நான் ஏற்கெனவே குற்றவாளி என்பது தீர்க்கப்பட்டிருக்க, ஏன் வீணாய் போராட வேண்டும்?
You will not let me be clear of sin! why then do I take trouble for nothing?
30 நான் என்னை பனிநீரினால் கழுவினாலும், என் கைகளை சோப்பினால் சுத்தப்படுத்தினாலும்,
If I am washed with snow water, and make my hands clean with soap;
31 நீர் என்னைச் சேற்றின் குழிக்குள் அமிழ்த்துவீர். அப்பொழுது என் சொந்த உடைகளே என்னை அருவருக்கும்.
Then you will have me pushed into the dust, so that I will seem disgusting to my very clothing.
32 “நான் அவருக்குப் பதிலளிக்கவும், அவரை நீதிமன்றத்தில் எதிர்க்கவும் அவர் என்னைப்போல் ஒரு மனிதனல்ல.
For he is not a man as I am, that I might give him an answer, that we might come together before a judge.
33 எங்கள் இருவருக்கும் நடுவராயிருந்து தீர்ப்புக்கூறவும், எங்கள் இருவர்மேலும் தம் கையை வைத்து,
There is no one to give a decision between us, who might have control over us.
34 என்னிடத்திலிருந்து இறைவனது தண்டனையின் கோலை அகற்ற ஒருவர் இருந்தால் நலமாயிருக்குமே; அவருடைய பயங்கரம் என்னைப் பயமுறுத்தாது.
Let him take away his rod from me and not send his fear on me:
35 நான் அவருக்குப் பயப்படாமல் பேசுவேன், ஆனால் இப்போதைய நிலையில் அப்படிப் பேச என்னால் முடியாது.
Then I would say what is in my mind without fear of him; for there is no cause of fear in myself.
