யோபு 40
1 மேலும் யெகோவா யோபுவிடம் சொன்னதாவது:
And the Lord God answered Job, and said,
2 “எல்லாம் வல்லவருடன் வாதாடுகிறவன் அவரைத் திருத்துவானோ? இறைவனைக் குற்றம் சாட்டுகிறவன் அவருக்குப் பதிலளிக்கட்டும்.”
Will [any one] pervert judgment with the Mighty One? and he that reproves God, let him return it for answer.
3 யோபு யெகோவாவுக்கு மறுமொழியாக சொன்னது:
And Job answered and said to the Lord,
4 “நான் தகுதியற்றவன்; நான் உமக்கு என்ன பதிலளிக்க முடியும்? நான் என் கையினால் வாயைப் பொத்திக்கொள்ளுகிறேன்.
Why do I yet plead? being rebuked even while reproving the Lord: hearing such things, whereas I am nothing: and what shall I answer to these [arguments]? I will lay my hand upon my mouth.
5 நான் ஒருமுறை பேசினேன், ஆமாம் இரண்டொருமுறை பேசினேன், ஆனால் என்னிடம் பதில் இல்லை; நான் இனிமேல் ஒன்றுமே சொல்லமாட்டேன்.”
I have spoken once; but I will not do so a second time.
6 அப்பொழுது யெகோவா பெருங்காற்றிலிருந்து யோபுவுடன் பேசினார்:
And the Lord yet again answered and spoke to Job out of the cloud, [saying],
7 “இப்பொழுது நீ மனிதனைப்போல் திடமாய் நில்; நான் உன்னிடம் கேள்வி கேட்பேன், நீ எனக்குப் பதில் சொல்.
Nay, gird up now thy loins like a man; and I will ask thee, and do thou answer me.
8 “நீ என் நீதியை அவமதிப்பாயோ? நீ உன்னை நீதியுள்ளவனாக்குவதற்கு, என்னைக் குற்றவாளியென்று தீர்ப்பாயோ?
Do not set aside my judgment: and dost thou think that I have dealt with thee in any other way, than that thou mightest appear to be righteous?
9 உன் புயம் இறைவனுடையதைப் போன்றதோ? உன் குரல் அவருடைய குரலைப்போல் முழங்குமோ?
Hast thou an arm like the Lord's? or dost thou thunder with a voice like his?
10 அப்படியானால் உன்னை மகிமையினாலும் மகத்துவத்தினாலும் அழகுபடுத்தி, மேன்மையையும் மாட்சிமையையும் உடுத்திக்கொள்.
Assume now a lofty bearing and power; and clothe thyself with glory and honour.
11 உன் கோபத்தின் சீற்றத்தை வீசி, பெருமையுள்ளவர்களைச் சிறுமைப்படுத்து.
And send forth messengers with wrath; and lay low every haughty one.
12 பெருமையுள்ள ஒவ்வொரு மனிதனையும் பார்த்து அவர்களைத் தாழ்மைப்படுத்து; கொடியவர்களை அவர்கள் நிற்கும் இடத்திலேயே நசுக்கிப் போடு.
Bring down also the proud man; and consume at once the ungodly.
13 அவர்கள் எல்லோரையும் ஒன்றாய் தூசிக்குள் புதைத்துவிடு; கல்லறையின் உள்ளே அவர்களின் முகங்களை மூடிப்போடு.
And hide them together in the earth; and fill their faces with shame.
14 அப்பொழுது உன் வலதுகையே உன்னை மீட்கும் என்று நானும் ஒத்துக்கொள்வேன்.
[Then] will I confess that thy right hand can save [thee].
15 “இப்பொழுது உன்னோடுகூட நான் படைத்த நீர்யானையைப் பார்; அது எருதைப் போலவே புல் மேய்கிறது.
But now look at the wild beasts with thee; they eat grass like oxen.
16 அதின் இடுப்பிலுள்ள பலம் எவ்வளவு? அதின் வயிற்றின் தசைநார்களின் வலிமை எவ்வளவு?
Behold now, his strength is in his loins, and his force is in the navel of his belly.
17 அதின் வால் கேதுரு மரத்தைப்போல் அசைகிறது; அதின் இடுப்பு நரம்புகள் நெருக்கமாகப் பிணைந்திருக்கின்றன.
He sets up his tail like a cypress; and his nerves are wrapped together.
18 அதின் எலும்புகள் வெண்கலக் குழாய்களாகவும், கால்கள் இரும்புத் தூண்களைப் போலவும் இருக்கின்றன.
His sides are sides of brass; and his backbone is [as] cast iron.
19 இறைவனின் படைப்புகளில் இதுவே முதலிடம் பெறுகிறது; இருந்தும் அதைத் தமது வாளுடன் அணுக அதைப் படைத்தவரால் முடியும்.
This is the chief of the creation of the Lord; made to be played with by his angels.
20 குன்றுகள் விளைச்சலைக் கொடுக்கும்; காட்டு விலங்குகளெல்லாம் அதனருகில் விளையாடும்.
And when he has gone up to a steep mountain, he causes joy to the quadrupeds in the deep.
21 அது தாமரையின் கீழும், நாணலின் மறைவில் சேற்றிலும் படுத்துக்கொள்ளும்.
He lies under trees of every kind, by the papyrus, and reed, and bulrush.
22 தாமரைகளின் நிழல் அதை மூடுகின்றன; ஆற்றலறிகள் அதைச் சூழ்ந்து நிற்கின்றன.
And the great trees make a shadow over him with their branches, and [so do] the bushes of the field.
23 ஆறு பெருக்கெடுக்கும்போது அது திகிலடைவதில்லை; யோர்தான் நதி அதின் வாய்க்கெதிராகப் பெருக்கெடுத்து ஓடினாலும், அது உறுதியாயிருக்கும்.
If there should be a flood, he will not perceive it; he trust that Jordan will rush up into his mouth.
24 அது பார்த்திருக்க அதை யார் பிடிக்கமுடியும்? மூக்கணாங்கயிறுபோட அதின் மூக்கை யார் குத்தமுடியும்?
[Yet one] shall take him in his sight; [one] shall catch [him] with a cord, and pierce his nose.
