யோபு 18
1 அப்பொழுது சூகியனான பில்தாத் மறுமொழியாக சொன்னது:
Then answered Bildad the Shuchite, and said,
2 “நீ எப்பொழுது இந்தப் பேச்சுக்களை நிறுத்துவாய்? நிதானமாயிரு, அப்பொழுது நாங்கள் பேசுவோம்.
When will ye at length put an end to words? Come to an understanding, and afterward let us speak.
3 உன் பார்வையில் நாங்கள் மிருகங்களைப்போல கருதப்பட்டு மதியீனர்களாய் எண்ணப்படுவது ஏன்?
For what cause are we counted as beasts, reputed stupid your eyes?
4 உன் கோபத்தில் உன்னையே காயப்படுத்துகிறவனே, உனக்காக பூமி கைவிடப்படுமோ? பாறை தன் இடத்தைவிட்டு நகருமோ?
Thou, the one that teareth himself to pieces in his anger— shall for thy sake the earth be forsaken, and the rock be moved away out of its place?
5 “கொடியவனின் விளக்கு அணைக்கப்படுகிறது; அவனுடைய நெருப்புச் சுவாலையும் எரியாமல் போகிறது.
Ah, truly the light of the wicked will be quenched, and the spark of his fire shall not give light.
6 அவனுடைய கூடார வெளிச்சம் இருளாகிறது; அவனுடைய விளக்கும் அணைந்து போகிறது.
The light becometh dark in his tent, and his lamp will be quenched above him.
7 அவனுடைய நடையின் கம்பீரம் பலவீனமடைகிறது; அவனுடைய சுயதிட்டங்கள் அவனைக் கீழே வீழ்த்துகின்றன.
His powerful steps will be narrowed, and his own counsel will cast him down.
8 அவன் தன் கால்களினால் வலையில் பிடிபட்டு, அந்த வலையின் சிக்கலிலே நடக்கிறான்.
For he is driven into the net by his own feet, and he taketh his walk upon a snare.
9 பொறி அவன் குதிகாலைப் பிடிக்கிறது; கண்ணி அவனை இறுக்கிப் பிடிக்கிறது.
The trap will seize him by the heel, and the robber will prevail over him.
10 சுருக்கு அவனுக்காகத் தரையிலும், பொறி அவன் பாதையிலும் மறைத்து வைக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறது.
The cord is hidden for him in the ground, and a trap is set for him on the pathway.
11 எப்பக்கத்திலும் பயங்கரங்கள் அவனைத் திடுக்கிடப்பண்ணி, அவன் கால்களை அலையவைக்கும்.
All around do terrors scare him, and chase him as he walketh along.
12 பேரழிவு அவனுக்காக காத்திருக்கிறது; பெருங்கேடு அவன் விழும்போது ஆயத்தமாக இருக்கிறது.
His first-born will suffer hunger, and calamity will be ready for his wife.
13 வியாதி அவன் தோலைத் தின்கிறது; சாவின் முதற்பேறு அவன் அங்கங்களை விழுங்குகிறது.
It will devour the limbs of his body: yea, the first-born of death will devour his limbs.
14 அவன் தன் கூடாரத்தின் பாதுகாப்பிலிருந்து பிடுங்கப்பட்டு, பயங்கரங்களின் அரசனிடம் கொண்டுபோகப்படுகிறான்.
Then will be plucked up out of his tent his confidence, and [the evil] will urge him forward to the king of terrors.
15 அவனுடைய கூடாரத்தில் நெருப்பு குடியிருக்கும்; அவனுடைய உறைவிடங்களில் கந்தகம் வாரி இறைக்கப்படும்.
It will dwell in his tent, because it is no more his: there will be strewed sulphur on his habitation.
16 கீழே அவனுடைய வேர்கள் காய்ந்து போகின்றன; மேலே அவனுடைய கிளைகள் வாடிப்போகின்றன.
Beneath, his roots will be dried up, and above will his boughs he cut away.
17 அவனைப் பற்றிய நினைவு பூமியிலிருந்து அற்றுப்போகிறது; மண்ணில் அவனுக்குப் பெயர் இல்லாதிருக்கிறது.
His resemblance vanisheth from the earth, and no name remaineth for him in the streets.
18 அவன் வெளிச்சத்திலிருந்து இருளுக்குள் தள்ளப்படுகிறான்; உலகத்திலிருந்தும் துரத்தப்படுகிறான்.
Men will thrust him out from light into darkness, and out of the world will they drive him.
19 அவனுடைய மக்கள் மத்தியில் அவனுக்கு சந்ததிகளே இல்லை, அவன் வாழ்ந்த இடத்தில் மீதியாயிருப்பவன் ஒருவனும் இல்லை.
He will have neither son nor grandson among his people, nor any that escapeth in the places of his sojourning.
20 அவன் முடிவைக்கண்டு மேற்கிலுள்ளோர் நடுங்கினர்; அவன் காலத்திற்கு பின்பு வாழ்ந்த கிழக்கிலுள்ளோர் திகிலுற்றனர்.
Because of his [calamitous] day are they that come after him astonished, and they that went before are seized with shuddering.
21 தீயவனின் குடியிருப்பு இத்தகையதே; இறைவனை அறியாதவனின் இருப்பிடமும் இத்தகையதே.”
Yea, such are the dwellings of the unjust, and this is the place of one that knew not God.
