யோபு 17
1 என் மூச்சு நின்றுபோகிறது, என் வாழ்நாட்கள் முடிகின்றன, கல்லறை எனக்குக் காத்திருக்கிறது.
My breath is corrupt, my days are extinct, the graves are mine.
2 கேலி செய்கிறவர்கள் என்னைச் சூழ்ந்திருக்கின்றனர்; அவர்களுடைய பகைமையே என் கண்முன் இருக்கிறது.
Are there not mockers around me? and doth [not] mine eye abide in their provocation?
3 “இறைவனே, நீர் கேட்கும் பிணையை நீரே எனக்குத் தாரும். வேறு யார் எனக்கு அதைக் கொடுப்பார்கள்?
Lay down now [a pledge], be thou surety for me with thyself: who is he that striketh hands with me?
4 விளங்கிக்கொள்ளாதபடி அவர்களுடைய மனதை நீர் அடைத்தீர். ஆகையால் அவர்களை வெற்றிகொள்ள விடமாட்டீர்.
For thou hast hidden their heart from understanding; therefore thou wilt not exalt [them].
5 தன் சொந்த நலன் கருதி சிநேகிதர்களுக்குத் துரோகம் செய்தால், அவருடைய பிள்ளைகளின் கண்கள் மங்கிப்போகும்.
He that betrayeth friends for a prey — even the eyes of his children shall fail.
6 “இறைவன் என்னை எல்லோருக்கும் ஒரு பழமொழியாக்கினார்; என்னைக் காண்போர் என் முகத்தில் துப்புகின்றனர்.
And he hath made me a proverb of the peoples; and I am become one to be spit on in the face.
7 துயரத்தினால் என் கண்கள் மங்கிப்போயின; என் உடலமைப்பு ஒரு நிழலைப்போல் ஆயிற்று.
And mine eye is dim by reason of grief, and all my members are as a shadow.
8 நேர்மையான மனிதர் இதைக்கண்டு திகைக்கிறார்கள்; குற்றமற்றவர்கள் இறைவனற்றவர்களுக்கு விரோதமாக எழும்புவார்கள்.
Upright men [shall be] astonished at this, and the innocent shall be stirred up against the ungodly;
9 ஆனாலும் நேர்மையானவர்கள் தங்கள் வழிகளில் உறுதியாய் நிற்பார்கள்; சுத்தமான கைகளை உடையவர்கள் வலிமை அடைவார்கள்.
But the righteous shall hold on his way, and he that hath clean hands shall increase in strength.
10 “நீங்கள் எல்லோரும் வாருங்கள், முயன்று பாருங்கள்! நான் உங்களில் ஞானமுள்ள ஒருவரையும் காணவில்லை.
But as for you all, pray come on again; and I shall not find one wise man among you.
11 என் நாட்கள் கடந்துபோயின; என் திட்டங்கள் சிதைந்துவிட்டன. என் இருதயத்தின் ஆசைகளும் அவ்வாறே சிதறிப்போயின.
My days are past, my purposes are broken off, the cherished thoughts of my heart.
12 இந்த மனிதர் இரவைப் பகலாக மாற்றுகிறார்கள்; வெளிச்சம் இருளுக்கு சமீபமாயிருக்கிறது என்கிறார்கள்.
They change the night into day; the light [they imagine] near in presence of the darkness.
13 நான் எதிர்பார்த்திருக்கும் ஒரே வீடு பாதாளமாய் இருந்திருந்தால், நான் என் படுக்கையை இருளில் விரித்திருந்தால், (Sheol h7585)
If I wait, Sheol is my house; I spread my bed in the darkness: (Sheol h7585)
14 நான் அழிவைப் பார்த்து, ‘நீ என் தகப்பன்’ என்றும், புழுவைப் பார்த்து, ‘நீ என் தாய்’ அல்லது ‘என் சகோதரி’ என்றும் சொல்லியிருந்தால்,
I cry to the grave, Thou art my father! to the worm, My mother, and my sister!
15 என் நம்பிக்கை எங்கே? யாராவது அதைக் கண்டுபிடிக்க முடியுமா?
And where is then my hope? yea, my hope, who shall see it?
