எரேமியா 32

1 யூதாவின் அரசன் சிதேக்கியா ஆட்சி செய்த பத்தாம் வருடம், எரேமியாவுக்கு யெகோவாவின் வார்த்தை வந்தது: இது நேபுகாத்நேச்சாரின் பதினெட்டாம் வருடமாய் இருந்தது.

This is the word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD in the tenth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, which was the eighteenth year of Nebuchadnezzar.

2 அவ்வேளையில் பாபிலோன் அரசனுடைய படை எருசலேமை முற்றுகையிட்டுக் கொண்டிருந்தது. இறைவாக்கினன் எரேமியா யூதா அரசர்களின் அரண்மனையிலிருந்த காவற்கூட முற்றத்தில் சிறைவைக்கப்பட்டிருந்தான்.

At that time the army of the king of Babylon was besieging Jerusalem, and Jeremiah the prophet was imprisoned in the courtyard of the guard, which was in the palace of the king of Judah.

3 அவ்வேளையில் யூதாவின் அரசனாகிய சிதேக்கியா எரேமியாவை சிறையில் அடைத்துச் சொன்னதாவது. “நீ ஏன் இவ்வாறு இறைவாக்கு உரைக்கிறாய்? யெகோவா சொல்வது இதுவே: நான் இப்பட்டணத்தைப் பாபிலோன் அரசனின் கையில் கொடுக்கப்போகிறேன்; அவன் அதைக் கைப்பற்றுவான்.

For Zedekiah king of Judah had imprisoned him, saying: “Why are you prophesying like this? You claim that the LORD says, ‘Behold, I am about to deliver this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he will capture it.

4 யூதாவின் அரசன் சிதேக்கியா பாபிலோனியருடைய கையிலிருந்து தப்பிப்போகமாட்டான். பாபிலோனின் அரசனிடம் நிச்சயம் ஒப்படைக்கப்படுவான். சிதேக்கியா பாபிலோன் அரசனுடன் நேர்முகமாகப் பேசி தன் கண்களால் அவனைக் காண்பான்.

Zedekiah king of Judah will not escape from the hands of the Chaldeans, but he will surely be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon, and will speak with him face to face and see him eye to eye.

5 அவன் சிதேக்கியாவை பாபிலோனுக்குக் கொண்டுபோவான்; நான் அவனுக்கு நடவடிக்கை எடுக்கும்வரை அங்கேயே தங்கியிருப்பான். எனவே நீயோ பாபிலோனியருடன் போரிட்டால் நிச்சயம் வெற்றிபெறவே மாட்டாய் என்று யெகோவா சொல்கிறார் என்கிறாயே” என்றான்.

He will take Zedekiah to Babylon, where he will stay until I attend to him, declares the LORD. If you fight against the Chaldeans, you will not succeed.’”

6 சிறையிருந்த காலத்தில் எரேமியா சொன்னதாவது, “யெகோவாவினுடைய வார்த்தை எனக்கு வந்தது.

Jeremiah replied, “The word of the LORD came to me, saying:

7 அவர் என்னிடம், சல்லூமின் மகனான உனது ஒன்றுவிட்ட சகோதரன் அனாமெயேல் உன்னிடம் வரப்போகிறான். அவன் வந்து, ‘ஆனதோத்திலிருக்கும் என் வயலை நீ உனக்கு வாங்கிக்கொள். நீ நெருங்கிய உறவினனானபடியால் அதை வாங்கும் உரிமையும், கடமையும் உன்னுடையதே’ என்று சொல்வான் என்று சொன்னார்” என்றான்.

Behold! Hanamel, the son of your uncle Shallum, is coming to you to say, ‘Buy for yourself my field in Anathoth, for you have the right of redemption to buy it.’

8 “பின்பு யெகோவா கூறியபடியே, என் ஒன்றுவிட்ட சகோதரன் அனாமெயேல் காவல் முற்றத்திற்கு என்னிடம் வந்து, ‘பென்யமீன் நாட்டிலிருக்கும் ஆனதோத்திலுள்ள என்னுடைய வயலை நீ வாங்கு. அதை வைத்துக்கொள்ளவும், மீட்டுக்கொள்ளவும் உனக்கே உரிமையுண்டு. அதனால் உனக்காக வாங்கிக்கொள்’ என்றான். “அப்பொழுது அது யெகோவாவின் வார்த்தை என்பதை நான் அறிந்துகொண்டேன்.

Then, as the LORD had said, my cousin Hanamel came to me in the courtyard of the guard and urged me, ‘Please buy my field in Anathoth in the land of Benjamin, for you own the right of inheritance and redemption. Buy it for yourself.’” Then I knew that this was the word of the LORD.

9 ஆகவே நான் ஆனதோத்திலுள்ள வயலை எனது ஒன்றுவிட்ட சகோதரன் அனாமெயேலிடமிருந்து வாங்கி அவனுக்கு பதினேழு சேக்கல் வெள்ளியையும் நிறுத்துக் கொடுத்தேன்.

So I bought the field in Anathoth from my cousin Hanamel, and I weighed out seventeen shekels of silver.

10 நான் பத்திரத்தில் கையெழுத்திட்டு, முத்திரைபோட்டு சாட்சிப்படுத்தி, தராசில் வெள்ளியை நிறுத்துக் கொடுத்தேன்.

I signed and sealed the deed, called in witnesses, and weighed out the silver on the scales.

11 விதிகளும், நிபந்தனைகளும் அடங்கிய பிரதியான பத்திரத்தையும், அதனுடன் முத்திரையிடப்படாத பிரதியையும் எடுத்துக்கொண்டேன்.

Then I took the deed of purchase—the sealed copy with its terms and conditions, as well as the open copy—

12 நான் அந்த பத்திரத்தை மாசெயாவின் மகனான நேரியாவின் மகன் பாரூக்கிடம் கொடுத்தேன். அதை, எனது ஒன்றுவிட்ட சகோதரன் அனாமெயேலுக்கு முன்பாகவும், பத்திரத்தில் கையெழுத்திட்ட சாட்சிகளுக்கு முன்பாகவும், காவற்கூட முற்றத்தில் இருந்த எல்லா யூதரின் முன்பாகவும் அவனிடத்தில் கொடுத்தேன்.

and I gave this deed to Baruch son of Neriah, the son of Mahseiah, in the sight of my cousin Hanamel and the witnesses who were signing the purchase agreement and all the Jews sitting in the courtyard of the guard.

13 “நான் இந்த அறிவுறுத்தல்களை அவர்கள் முன்னிலையில் பாரூக்கிடம் கொடுத்தேன்.

In their sight I instructed Baruch,

14 ‘இஸ்ரயேலின் இறைவனாகிய சேனைகளின் யெகோவா கூறுவது இதுவே: முத்திரையிட்டதும், முத்திரையிடாததுமான பத்திரத்தின் பிரதிகளை எடுத்து, அநேக காலத்திற்குப் பாதுகாப்பாய் இருக்கும்படி ஒரு மண்பானையில் போட்டு வை.

“This is what the LORD of Hosts, the God of Israel, says: Take these deeds—both the sealed copy and the open copy of the deed of purchase—and put them in a clay jar to preserve them for a long time.

15 ஏனெனில் இஸ்ரயேலின் இறைவனாகிய சேனைகளின் யெகோவா, மீண்டும் இந்த நாட்டில் வீடுகளும், வயல்களும், திராட்சைத் தோட்டங்களும் விலைக்கு வாங்கப்படும் என்கிறார்’ என்றேன்.

For this is what the LORD of Hosts, the God of Israel, says: Houses, fields, and vineyards will again be bought in this land.”

16 “நான் பத்திரத்தை நேரியாவின் மகனான பாரூக்கிடம் கொடுத்தபின் யெகோவாவிடம் மன்றாடினேன்.

After I had given the deed of purchase to Baruch son of Neriah, I prayed to the LORD:

17 “ஆண்டவராகிய யெகோவாவே, நீர் உமது மகா வல்லமையினாலும், நீட்டப்பட்ட கரத்தினாலும் வானங்களையும், பூமியையும் உருவாக்கினீர். உம்மால் செய்யமுடியாத காரியம் ஒன்றுமேயில்லை.

“Oh, Lord GOD! You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too difficult for You!

18 நீர் ஆயிரக்கணக்கானோருக்கு அன்பு காட்டுகிறீர். ஆனால் பெற்றோரின் பாவங்களுக்கான தண்டனையை அவர்களுக்குப்பின் அவர்களின் பிள்ளைகளின் மடியில் கொண்டுவருகிறீர். பெரியவரும், வல்லமையுள்ளவருமான இறைவனே, சேனைகளின் யெகோவா என்பது உமது பெயர்.

You show loving devotion to thousands but lay the iniquity of the fathers into the laps of their children after them, O great and mighty God whose name is the LORD of Hosts,

19 உமது நோக்கங்கள் பெரியவை. உமது செயல்கள் வல்லமையுள்ளவை. மனிதருடைய வழிகளையெல்லாம் உமது கண்கள் காண்கின்றன. அவனவனுடைய நடத்தைக்குத் தக்கதாகவும், அவனவனுடைய செயல்களுக்குத் தக்கதாகவும் ஒவ்வொருவருக்கும் நீர் பலன் அளிக்கிறீர்.

the One great in counsel and mighty in deed, whose eyes are on all the ways of the sons of men, to reward each one according to his ways and according to the fruit of his deeds.

20 நீர் எகிப்திலே அற்புத அடையாளங்களையும் அதிசயங்களையும் செய்தீர். இஸ்ரயேலருக்கும், மற்ற எல்லா மனுமக்களுக்கும் மத்தியில் தொடர்ந்து இன்றுவரை அவைகளை நடப்பித்திருக்கிறீர். இன்னும் உமக்கே உரியதாய் இருக்கும் புகழையும் பெற்றிருக்கிறீர்.

You performed signs and wonders in the land of Egypt, and You do so to this very day, both in Israel and among all mankind. And You have made a name for Yourself, as is the case to this day.

21 நீர் உமது மக்களான இஸ்ரயேலரை அடையாளங்களுடனும், அதிசயங்களுடனும் எகிப்திலிருந்து வெளியே கொண்டுவந்தீர். உமது வல்லமையுள்ள கையினாலும், நீட்டப்பட்ட புயத்தினாலும் பெரிய பயங்கரத்தினாலும் அதைச் செய்தீர்.

You brought Your people Israel out of the land of Egypt with signs and wonders, with a strong hand and an outstretched arm, and with great terror.

22 அவர்களுடைய முற்பிதாக்களுக்குக் கொடுப்பதாக வாக்களித்த பாலும் தேனும் ஓடுகிறதான இந்த நாட்டையும் நீரே அவர்களுக்குக் கொடுத்தீர்.

You gave them this land that You had sworn to give their fathers, a land flowing with milk and honey.

23 அவர்கள் வந்து அதைத் தங்களுக்கு உரிமையாக்கிக்கொண்டார்கள். ஆனால் அவர்கள் உமக்குக் கீழ்ப்படியவோ, உமது சட்டத்தைப் பின்பற்றவோ இல்லை. நீர் அவர்களுக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடி செய்யவும் இல்லை. ஆகையினால் நீர் அவர்கள்மீது இந்த பேராபத்தையெல்லாம் கொண்டுவந்தீர்.

They came in and possessed it, but they did not obey Your voice or walk in Your law. They failed to perform all that You commanded them to do, and so You have brought upon them all this disaster.

24 “பட்டணத்தைக் கைப்பற்றுவதற்காக எப்படியாக முற்றுகைக் கொத்தளங்கள் கட்டப்பட்டுள்ளன என்று பாரும். வாள், பஞ்சம், கொள்ளைநோய் ஆகியவற்றின் நிமித்தம் இப்பட்டணம் அதைத் தாக்கிக்கொண்டிருக்கிற பாபிலோனியரிடம் கொடுக்கப்படும். நீர் இப்போது காண்கிறதுபோல நீர் சொன்னது நடந்திருக்கிறது.

See how the siege ramps are mounted against the city to capture it. And by sword and famine and plague, the city has been given into the hands of the Chaldeans who are fighting against it. What You have spoken has happened, as You now see!

25 ஆண்டவராகிய யெகோவாவே! இப்பட்டணம் பாபிலோனியரிடம் கையளிக்கப்பட இருக்கிறபோதிலும், நீர் என்னிடம், ‘வெள்ளியைக் கொடுத்து வயலை வாங்கி, அதன் ஆவணங்களைச் சாட்சிப்படுத்து என்று சொல்கிறீரே’ என்று மன்றாடினேன்.”

Yet You, O Lord GOD, have said to me, ‘Buy for yourself the field with silver and call in witnesses, even though the city has been delivered into the hands of the Chaldeans!’”

26 அப்பொழுது யெகோவாவின் வார்த்தை எரேமியாவுக்கு வந்தது:

Then the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah:

27 “மாம்சமான யாவருக்கும் இறைவனாகிய யெகோவா நானே. என்னால் இயலாதது ஒன்றுண்டோ?

“Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh. Is anything too difficult for Me?

28 ஆகையினால் யெகோவா சொல்வது இதுவே: நான் இப்பட்டணத்தைப் பாபிலோனியரிடமும், பாபிலோன் அரசன் நேபுகாத்நேச்சாரிடமும் கொடுக்கப்போகிறேன். அவன் அதைக் கைப்பற்றுவான்.

Therefore this is what the LORD says: Behold, I am about to deliver this city into the hands of the Chaldeans and of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, who will capture it.

29 இந்தப் பட்டணத்தைத் தாக்குகிற பாபிலோனியர் இதற்குள் புகுந்து, இதற்கு நெருப்பு வைப்பார்கள். வீட்டின் கூரைகளில் பாகாலுக்குத் தூபங்காட்டி, பிற தெய்வங்களுக்குப் பானபலிகளை வார்த்து, எனக்குக் கோபமூட்டிய இம்மக்களின் வீடுகளுடன் இந்த நகரத்தையும் எரித்துப் போடுவார்கள்.

And the Chaldeans who are fighting against this city will come in, set it on fire, and burn it, along with the houses of those who provoked Me to anger by burning incense to Baal on their rooftops and by pouring out drink offerings to other gods.

30 “தங்கள் இளமையிலிருந்தே, இஸ்ரயேல், யூதா மக்கள் எனக்கு முன்பாகத் தீமையை அல்லாமல், வேறொன்றும் செய்யவில்லை. இஸ்ரயேல் மக்கள் உண்மையிலேயே தங்கள் கைகள் செய்த விக்கிரகங்களினால் எனக்குக் கோபமூட்டினார்கள் என்று யெகோவா அறிவிக்கிறார்.

For the children of Israel and of Judah have done nothing but evil in My sight from their youth; indeed, they have done nothing but provoke Me to anger by the work of their hands, declares the LORD.

31 இந்தப் பட்டணம் கட்டப்பட்ட நாளிலிருந்து இன்றுவரை எனக்குக் கோபத்தையும், கடுங்கோபத்தையும், மிகுதியாய் எழுப்பியபடியால் அதை என் பார்வையிலிருந்து அகற்றவேண்டும்.

For this city has aroused My wrath and fury from the day it was built until now. Therefore I will remove it from My presence

32 இஸ்ரயேல் மக்களும், யூதா மக்களும் தாங்கள் செய்த தீமையினால் எனக்குக் கோபமூட்டினார்கள். அவர்களும், அவர்கள் அரசர்களும், அதிகாரிகளும், ஆசாரியரும், இறைவாக்கினரும், யூதா மனிதரும், எருசலேம் மக்களுமே அப்படிச் செய்தார்கள்.

because of all the evil the children of Israel and of Judah have done to provoke Me to anger—they, their kings, their officials, their priests and prophets, the men of Judah, and the residents of Jerusalem.

33 அவர்களோ தங்கள் முகங்களையல்ல; முதுகுகளையே எனக்குக் காட்டினார்கள். நான் திரும்பத்திரும்ப போதித்தும் அதை அவர்கள் கேட்கவோ, திருந்துவதற்கு முயற்சிக்கவோ இல்லை.

They have turned their backs to Me and not their faces. Though I taught them again and again, they would not listen or respond to discipline.

34 அவர்கள் என் பெயரினால் அழைக்கப்படும் ஆலயத்தில், தங்கள் அருவருப்பான விக்கிரகங்களை வைத்து ஆலயத்தைக் கறைப்படுத்தினார்கள்.

They have placed their abominations in the house that bears My Name, and so have defiled it.

35 அவர்கள் தங்கள் மகன்களையும், மகள்களையும் மோளேகு தெய்வத்திற்குப் பலியிடுவதற்காக பென் இன்னோம் பள்ளத்தாக்கில் பாகாலுக்கு மேடைகளைக் கட்டினார்கள். இத்தகைய அருவருப்பான செயல்களைச் செய்யும்படி நான் அவர்களுக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டதுமில்லை; அப்படி நான் என் மனதில் எண்ணியதுமில்லை. இருந்தும் அவர்கள் இப்படிச் செய்து யூதாவைப் பாவத்திற்குட்படுத்தினார்கள்.

They have built the high places of Baal in the Valley of Hinnom to make their sons and daughters pass through the fire to Molech—something I never commanded them, nor had it ever entered My mind, that they should commit such an abomination and cause Judah to sin.

36 “எரேமியாவே, ‘இப்பட்டணம் வாளினாலும், பஞ்சத்தினாலும், கொள்ளைநோயினாலும் பாபிலோன் அரசனின் கையில் கொடுக்கப்படும்’ என்று மக்கள் சொல்கிறார்கள். ஆனாலும் இஸ்ரயேலின் இறைவனாகிய யெகோவா அந்நாட்டைப் பற்றி இன்னும் அதிகமாய்ச் சொல்வது இதுவே:

Now therefore, about this city of which you say, ‘It will be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon by sword and famine and plague,’ this is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says:

37 கடுஞ்சினத்தாலும் என் கோபத்தாலும் துரத்திவிட்ட எல்லா நாடுகளிலிருந்தும் நிச்சயமாக அவர்களைச் சேர்த்தெடுப்பேன். அவர்களைத் திரும்பவும் இந்த இடத்திற்குக் கொண்டுவந்து அவர்கள் பாதுகாப்புடன் வாழும்படி செய்வேன்.

I will surely gather My people from all the lands to which I have banished them in My furious anger and great wrath, and I will return them to this place and make them dwell in safety.

38 அவர்கள் என் மக்களாயிருப்பார்கள், நான் அவர்களுடைய இறைவனாயிருப்பேன்.

They will be My people, and I will be their God.

39 நான் அவர்களுக்கு ஒரே இருதயத்தையும், ஒரே மனதையும் கொடுப்பேன். அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் தங்கள் சொந்த நன்மைக்காகவும், தங்களுக்குப் பின்வரும் பிள்ளைகளின் நன்மைக்காகவும் என்றென்றைக்கும் எனக்குப் பயந்து நடப்பார்கள்.

I will give them one heart and one way, so that they will always fear Me for their own good and for the good of their children after them.

40 நான் அவர்களோடு ஒரு நித்திய உடன்படிக்கையைச் செய்வேன். நான் அவர்களுக்கு நன்மை செய்வதை ஒருபோதும் நிறுத்தமாட்டேன். அவர்கள் என்னைவிட்டுத் திரும்பாதபடி எனக்குப் பயப்படும் உணர்வை நான் அவர்களுக்குக் கொடுப்பேன்.

I will make an everlasting covenant with them: I will never turn away from doing good to them, and I will put My fear in their hearts, so that they will never turn away from Me.

41 அவர்களுக்கு நன்மை செய்வதில் நான் மகிழ்ந்து, அவர்களை இந்த நாட்டில் நிச்சயமாக நிலைநாட்டுவேன். இதை என் முழு இருதயத்தோடும், என் முழு ஆத்துமாவோடும் செய்வேன்.

Yes, I will rejoice in doing them good, and I will faithfully plant them in this land with all My heart and with all My soul.

42 “யெகோவா கூறுவது இதுவே: இந்த மக்கள்மேல் இப்பேரிடரை நானே கொண்டுவந்தேன். ஆகவே நான் அவர்களுக்குக் கொடுத்த வாக்குத்தத்தத்தின்படி, எல்லா செல்வச் செழிப்பையும் அதிகமாய் அவர்களுக்குக் கொடுப்பேன்.

For this is what the LORD says: Just as I have brought all this great disaster on this people, so I will bring on them all the good I have promised them.

43 ‘அது மனிதர்களும், மிருகங்களும் இல்லாமல் பாழடைந்த நாடு என்றும், அது பாபிலோனியரின் கையில் கொடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது என்றும்,’ நீங்கள் சொல்லும் இந்நாட்டிலே, மறுபடியும் வயல்கள் வாங்கப்படும்.

And fields will be bought in this land about which you are saying, ‘It is a desolation, without man or beast; it has been delivered into the hands of the Chaldeans.’

44 பென்யமீன் நாட்டிலும், எருசலேமைச் சூழ்ந்துள்ள கிராமங்களிலும், யூதாவின் பட்டணங்களிலும், மேற்கு மலைச்சரிவிலுள்ள நாட்டின் பட்டணங்களிலும், நெகேவ் பிரதேசத்திலும் வயல்கள் வெள்ளிக்கு வாங்கப்படும். பத்திரங்களுக்குக் கையெழுத்திட்டு முத்திரையிட்டு சாட்சிகளையும் வைப்பார்கள். ஏனெனில் நான் அவர்களுடைய செல்வங்களை திருப்பிக் கொடுப்பேன் என்று யெகோவா அறிவிக்கிறார்.”

Fields will be purchased with silver, and deeds will be signed, sealed, and witnessed in the land of Benjamin, in the areas surrounding Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah—the cities of the hill country, the foothills, and the Negev—because I will restore them from captivity, declares the LORD.”
