ஏசாயா 6
1 உசியா அரசன் இறந்த வருடத்தில், யெகோவா உயரமும் உன்னதமுமான சிங்காசனத்தின்மேல் அமர்ந்திருப்பதை நான் கண்டேன். அவருடைய நீண்டிருந்த மேலுடை ஆலயத்தை நிரப்பியிருந்தது.
In the year in which King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne high and lifted up, and the train of his robe filled the temple.
2 அவருக்கு மேலாக சேராபீன்கள் இருந்தன. அவை ஒவ்வொன்றுக்கும் ஆறு சிறகுகள் இருந்தன. அவை இரு சிறகுகளால் தங்கள் முகங்களை மூடிக்கொண்டும், இரு சிறகுகளால் தங்கள் பாதங்களை மூடிக்கொண்டும், இரு சிறகுகளால் பறந்துகொண்டும் இருந்தன.
Around him stood seraphs; each one of them had six wings; with two he covered his face, with two he covered his feet, and with two he did fly.
3 அவை ஒன்றையொன்று அழைத்து இவ்வாறு கூறியது: “எல்லாம் வல்ல யெகோவா, பரிசுத்தர், பரிசுத்தர், பரிசுத்தர், பூமி முழுவதும் அவரது மகிமையால் நிறைந்திருக்கிறது.”
And one called to another, and said: Holy, holy, holy is Jehovah of hosts; The whole earth is full of his glory.
4 அவைகளுடைய குரல்களின் சத்தத்தினால் ஆலயக் கதவு நிலைகளும், வாசற்படிகளும் அதிர்ந்தன, ஆலயம் புகையினாலும் நிரம்பியது.
And the foundations of the thresholds were shaken with the voice of their cry. And the temple was filled with smoke.
5 அப்பொழுது நான், “எனக்கு ஐயோ, நான் அழிந்தேன்! நானோ அசுத்த உதடுகளுள்ள மனிதன், அசுத்த உதடுகள் உள்ள மக்கள் மத்தியில் வாழ்கிறேன். என் கண்கள், எல்லாம் வல்ல யெகோவாவாகிய அரசரைக் கண்டுவிட்டனவே” என்று சொன்னேன்.
Then I said, Alas for me! I am undone! For I am a man of unclean lips, and dwell among a people of unclean lips, and mine eyes have seen the King, Jehovah of hosts.
6 அப்பொழுது சேராபீன்களுள் ஒருவன், பலிபீடத்திலிருந்து எரியும் நெருப்புத் தணலொன்றைக் குறட்டினால் எடுத்து, அதைத் தன் கையில் பிடித்துக்கொண்டு என்னிடம் பறந்து வந்தான்.
Then flew one of the seraphs to me, having in his hands a glowing stone, which he had taken with the tongs from the altar.
7 அவன் எனது வாயை அதனால் தொட்டு, “பார், இது உனது உதடுகளைத் தொட்டுள்ளது; உனது குற்றம் நீங்கி, உனது பாவம் நிவிர்த்தியாக்கப்பட்டது” என்றான்.
And he touched my mouth, and said, Behold, this toucheth thy lips, and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin is expiated.
8 பின்பு நான், யெகோவாவின் குரலைக் கேட்டேன், அவர், “யாரை நான் அனுப்புவேன்? யார் நமக்காகப் போவான்?” என்றார். அதற்கு நான், “இதோ, நான் இருக்கிறேன், என்னை அனுப்பும்!” என்றேன்.
And I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? And I said: Behold, here am I; send me!
9 அப்பொழுது அவர், “நீ இந்த மக்களிடம்போய் சொல்லவேண்டியது: “‘நீங்கள் எப்பொழுதும் கேட்டுக்கொண்டும் ஒருபோதும் உணராமலும், எப்பொழுதும் பார்த்துக்கொண்டும் ஒருபோதும் அறிந்துகொள்ளாமலும் இருங்கள்.’
And he said: Go, and say thou to this people, Hear ye, indeed, but understand not; See ye, indeed, but perceive not!
10 இந்த மக்களின் இருதயத்தைக் கடினமாக்கு, அவர்களின் காதுகளை மந்தமாக்கு, அவர்கள் கண்களை மூடிவிடு. ஆகையால், அவர்கள் தங்கள் கண்களால் காணாமலும், தங்கள் காதுகளால் கேட்காமலும், இருதயங்களினால் உணர்ந்து, மனமாறி, குணமடையாமலும் இருக்கச் செய்.”
Make the heart of this people gross; Make their ears dull, and blind their eyes; That they may not see with their eyes, nor hear with their ears, Nor perceive with their hearts, and turn, and be healed.
11 அப்பொழுது நான், “யெகோவாவே, எவ்வளவு காலத்திற்கு?” என்றேன். அதற்கு அவர் சொன்னதாவது: “பட்டணங்கள் குடியிருப்பாரின்றிப் பாழாக்கப்பட்டு, வீடுகள் கைவிடப்பட்டு, வயல்கள் பாழாகி சூறையாடப்பட்டு,
Then said I, How long, Lord? He said: Until the cities be laid waste, so that there be no inhabitant, And the houses, so that there be no man, And the land be left utterly desolate;
12 யெகோவா ஒவ்வொருவரையும் வெகுதூரத்துக்கு அனுப்பி நாடு முற்றிலும் கைவிடப்படும் வரைக்குமே அது அப்படியிருக்கும்.
Until Jehovah have removed the men far away, And there be great desolation in the land.
13 நாட்டின் பத்தில் ஒரு பங்கு மிஞ்சியிருந்த போதிலும் மீண்டும் அதுவும் அழிக்கப்படும். ஆனால் தேவதாரு மரமும், கர்வாலி மரமும் வெட்டப்படும்போது, அடிமரம் விடப்படுவதுபோல் பரிசுத்த விதை நாட்டில் அடிமரமாக இருக்கும்.”
And though there be a tenth part remaining in it, Even this shall again be destroyed; Yet as when the terebinth and the oak are cut down, Their stem remaineth alive, So shall a holy race be the stem of the nation.
