ஏசாயா 57

1 நீதியானவர்கள் அழிகின்றார்கள், இதைப்பற்றி ஒருவருமே தங்கள் இருதயத்தில் சிந்திப்பதில்லை; பக்தியுள்ளவர்களும் எடுத்துக்கொள்ளப்படுகிறார்கள்; தீமையிலிருந்து தப்பித்துக்கொள்ளும்படியாகவே, நீதியுள்ளவர்கள் எடுத்துக்கொள்ளப்படுகிறார்கள் என்பதை ஒருவரும் விளங்கிக்கொள்வதில்லை.

The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth [it] to heart: and merciful men [are] taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil [to come].

2 நீதியாய் நடக்கிறவர்கள் சமாதானத்திற்குள் சென்றடைந்து, தங்கள் மரணத்தில் படுத்திருக்கும்போது, இளைப்பாறுதல் பெறுகிறார்கள்.

He shall enter into peace: they shall rest in their beds, [each one] walking [in] his uprightness.

3 “ஆனால், மந்திரவாதிகளின் பிள்ளைகளே, விபசாரிகளுக்கும் வேசிகளுக்கும் பிறந்த பிள்ளைகளே, நீங்கள் இங்கே வாருங்கள்.

But draw near hither, ye sons of the sorceress, the seed of the adulterer and the lewd.

4 யாரை நீங்கள் ஏளனம்பண்ணுகிறீர்கள்? யாரைப் பழிக்க உங்கள் வாயைத் உங்கள் நாவை நீட்டுகிறீர்கள்? நீங்கள் கலகக்காரரின் பிள்ளைகள் அல்லவா? பொய்யரின் சந்ததியல்லவா?

Against whom do ye sport yourselves? against whom make ye a wide mouth, [and] thrust out the tongue? [are] ye not children of transgression, a seed of falsehood,

5 நீங்கள் தேவதாரு மரங்களுக்கிடையிலும், ஒவ்வொரு படர்ந்த மரத்தினடியிலும் காமவெறி கொள்கிறீர்கள்; பாறைகளின் வெடிப்புகளிலும், தொங்கும் பாறைகளின் கீழும் உங்கள் பிள்ளைகளைப் பலியிடுகிறீர்கள்.

Inflaming yourselves with idols under every green tree, slaying the children in the valleys under the cliffs of the rocks?

6 வெடிப்புகளின் வழுவழுப்பான கற்களின் இடையில் இருக்கும் விக்கிரங்களே உங்கள் பங்கு; அவை, அவைதான் உங்கள் பாகம். ஆம், அவைகளுக்கே நீங்கள் பானபலியை வார்த்து, தானியபலியையும் செலுத்தியிருக்கிறீர்கள். இவை வெளிப்படையாயிருக்க நான் உங்களுக்குக் கருணைகாட்ட வேண்டுமோ?

Among the smooth [stones] of the stream [is] thy portion; they, they [are] thy lot: even to them hast thou poured a drink-offering, thou hast offered a meat-offering. Should I receive comfort in these?

7 நீ உயரமும், உன்னதமுமான குன்றின்மேல் உன் படுக்கையை விரித்தாய்; பலிகளைச் செலுத்துவதற்காக நீ மேலே போனாய்.

Upon a lofty and high mountain hast thou set thy bed: even thither thou wentest up to offer sacrifice.

8 உனது கதவுகளுக்கும், உனது கதவு நிலைகளுக்கும் பின்னால் நீ உனது தெய்வச் சின்னங்களை வைத்தாய். என்னைக் கைவிட்டு உன் படுக்கையை விரித்தாய், அதிலேறி அதை அகலமாக்கினாய்; நீ எவர்களுடைய படுக்கையை விரும்பினாயோ அவர்களோடு ஒப்பந்தம் செய்தாய், நீ அவர்களுடைய நிர்வாணத்தைப் பார்த்தாய்.

Behind the doors also and the posts hast thou set up thy remembrance: for thou hast uncovered [thyself to another] than me, and hast gone up; thou hast enlarged thy bed, and made thee [a covenant] with them; thou lovedst their bed where thou sawest [it].

9 நீ ஒலிவ எண்ணெயுடன் மோளேக் தெய்வத்திடம் போனாய்; நீ வாசனைத் தைலங்களை அதிகமாய்ப் பூசிக்கொண்டாய். நீ உனது தூதுவரை வெகுதூரத்திற்கு அனுப்பினாய்; அவர்களைப் பாதாளத்துக்குள்ளுங்கூட இறங்கப்பண்ணினாய்! (Sheol h7585)

And thou wentest to the king with ointment, and didst increase thy perfumes, and didst send thy messengers far off, and didst debase [thyself even] to hell. (Sheol h7585)

10 உங்கள் எல்லா முயற்சிகளாலும் நீங்கள் களைத்துப்போனீர்கள், ஆயினும் நீங்கள், ‘அது பயனற்றது’ என்று சொல்லவில்லை. நீங்கள் கையில் புதிய பெலனை பெற்றபடியால் சோர்ந்துபோகவில்லை.

Thou art wearied in the greatness of thy way; [yet] saidst thou not, There is no hope: thou hast found the life of thy hand; therefore thou wast not grieved.

11 “நீ யாருக்குப் பயந்து, நடுங்கி எனக்குப் பொய்யாய் நடந்தாய்? என்னை நினையாமலும் இதைப்பற்றி உன் இருதயத்தில் சிந்திக்காமலும் இருந்தாய்? நான் நெடுங்காலமாக அமைதியாய் இருந்தபடியினாலன்றோ நீ எனக்குப் பயப்படாது போனாய்?

And of whom hast thou been afraid or feared, that thou hast lied, and hast not remembered me, nor laid [it] to thy heart? have not I held my peace even of old, and thou fearest me not?

12 நான் உனது நீதியையும் உனது வேலைகளையும் உனது செயல்களையும் வெளிப்படுத்துவேன்; அவை உனக்கு உதவாது.

I will declare thy righteousness, and thy works; for they shall not profit thee.

13 நீ உதவிகேட்டு அழுகிறபோது, நீ சேகரித்த விக்கிரகங்கள் உன்னைக் காப்பாற்றட்டும்! காற்று அவைகளை அள்ளிக்கொண்டு போகுமே! வெறும் மூச்சே அவைகளை அடித்துக்கொண்டும். ஆனால் என்னை நம்பியிருக்கிறவர்களோ, நாட்டைத் தன் சொத்துரிமையாக்கி, எனது பரிசுத்த மலையையும் சொந்தமாக்கிக்கொள்வார்கள்.”

When thou criest, let thy companies deliver thee; but the wind shall carry them all away; vanity shall take [them]: but he that putteth his trust in me shall possess the land, and shall inherit my holy mountain;

14 அப்பொழுது: “கட்டுங்கள், கட்டுங்கள், வீதியை ஆயத்தம் பண்ணுங்கள்! எனது மக்களின் வழியிலுள்ள தடைகளை நீக்கிவிடுங்கள்” என்று சொல்லப்படும்.

And shall say, Cast ye up, cast ye up, prepare the way, take up the stumbling-block out of the way of my people.

15 உயர்ந்திருப்பவரும், உன்னதமானவரும், என்றென்றும் வாழ்பவருமான பரிசுத்தர் என்னும் பெயரையுடையவர் சொல்வதாவது: “இறைவனாகிய நான் உயரமான பரிசுத்த இடத்தில் வாழ்கிறேன். ஆனாலும் மனமுடைந்தவர்களுடனும், தாழ்மையான ஆவியுடையவர்களுடனும் இருக்கிறேன். ஆவியில் தாழ்மையுடையவர்களுக்குப் புத்துயிர் கொடுக்கவும், மனமுடைந்தவர்களின் இருதயத்தைத் திடப்படுத்தவும் நான் அவர்களுடன் இருக்கிறேன்.

For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name [is] Holy; I dwell in the high and holy [place], with him also [that is] of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

16 நான் என்றென்றும் குற்றஞ்சாட்டமாட்டேன், எப்பொழுதும் கோபமாயிருக்கமாட்டேன். ஏனெனில் அப்பொழுது மனிதனின் ஆவி, என்னால் படைக்கப்பட்ட மனித சுவாசம், எனக்குமுன் சோர்வடைந்துவிடும்.

For I will not contend for ever, neither will I be always wroth: for the spirit would fail before me, and the souls [which] I have made.

17 அவனுடைய பாவ பேராசையின் காரணமாக நான் அவன்மீது கடுங்கோபம் கொண்டேன், அவனைத் தண்டித்து கோபத்தில் என் முகத்தை மறைத்தேன், ஆனாலும் அவன் தன் மனம்போன போக்கிலேயே தொடர்ந்து போய்க்கொண்டிருந்தான்.

For the iniquity of his covetousness I was wroth, and smote him: I hid me, and was wroth, and he went on frowardly in the way of his heart.

18 அவனுடைய வழிகளை நான் கண்டிருக்கிறேன்; ஆயினும் நான் அவனைச் சுகப்படுத்துவேன்; அவனை வழிநடத்தி, மீண்டும் அவனுக்கு ஆறுதல் அளிப்பேன்;

I have seen his ways, and will heal him: I will lead him also, and restore comforts to him and to his mourners.

19 நான் துயரப்படுகிறவர்களின் உதடுகளில் துதியைக் கொண்டுவருவேன். தொலைவிலும் அருகிலும் உள்ளவர்களுக்குச் சமாதானம், சமாதானம் என்றும், அவர்களை நான் சுகப்படுத்துவேன்” என்றும் யெகோவா சொல்கிறார்.

I create the fruit of the lips; Peace, peace to [him that is] far off, and to [him that is] near, saith the LORD; and I will heal him.

20 ஆனால் கொடியவர்களோ, கொந்தளிக்கும் கடலைப்போல் இருக்கிறார்கள்; அதற்கு அமைதியாய் இருக்கமுடியாது, அதன் அலைகள் சேற்றையும் சகதியையும் அள்ளிக்கொண்டுவரும்.

But the wicked [are] like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt.

21 “கொடியவருக்கோ, மன அமைதி இல்லை” என்று என் இறைவன் சொல்கிறார்.

[There is] no peace, saith my God, to the wicked.
