ஏசாயா 29

1 அரியேலே, அரியேலே, தாவீது குடியிருந்த பட்டணமே, ஐயோ, உனக்குக் கேடு! வருடத்துடன் வருடத்தைக் கூட்டு, உங்கள் பண்டிகைகளும் ஒன்றன்பின் ஒன்றாக நடக்கட்டும்.

Woe to you, O Ariel, the city of Ariel where David camped! Year upon year let your festivals recur.

2 ஆனாலும் நான் அரியேலை முற்றுகையிடுவேன்; அது துக்கித்துப் புலம்பும், அது எனக்கு பலிபீடத்தின் அடுப்பைப் போலிருக்கும்.

And I will constrain Ariel, and there will be mourning and lamentation; she will be like an altar hearth before Me.

3 நான் உனக்கு விரோதமாக உன்னைச் சுற்றி முகாமிடுவேன்; நான் கோபுரங்களால் உன்னைச் சூழ்ந்துகொள்வேன், எனது முற்றுகை வேலைகளை உனக்கு விரோதமாய் அமைப்பேன்.

I will camp in a circle around you; I will besiege you with towers and set up siege works against you.

4 நீ தாழ்த்தப்பட்டு நிலத்திலிருந்து பேசுவாய், உனது பேச்சு புழுதியிலிருந்து முணுமுணுக்கும். உனது குரல் செத்தவனின் ஆவியைப்போல் பூமியிலிருந்து வரும்; உனது பேச்சு புழுதியிலிருந்து தாழ் குரலாய் வரும்.

You will be brought low, you will speak from the ground, and out of the dust your words will be muffled. Your voice will be like a spirit from the ground; your speech will whisper out of the dust.

5 ஆனாலும் யெகோவாவின் நிமித்தம் உனது அநேக பகைவர்கள் திடீரென புழுதியைப்போல் ஆவார்கள்; இரக்கமில்லாதவரின் கூட்டங்கள் பறக்கும் பதரைப்போல் ஆகும். சடுதியாய், ஒரு நொடிப்பொழுதில்,

But your many foes will be like fine dust, the multitude of the ruthless like blowing chaff. Then suddenly, in an instant,

6 இடி முழக்கத்துடனும் பூமியதிர்ச்சியுடனும், பெருஞ்சத்தத்துடனும் சேனைகளின் யெகோவா அவர்களுக்கெதிராக வருவார். அவர் புயல்காற்றுடனும், சூறாவளியுடனும், எரிக்கும் நெருப்புச் சுவாலையுடனும் வருவார்.

you will be visited by the LORD of Hosts with thunder and earthquake and loud noise, with windstorm and tempest and consuming flame of fire.

7 அப்பொழுது அரியேலுக்கு விரோதமாய்ப் போரிடும் எல்லா நாடுகளின் கூட்டத்தாரும் அதன் அரண்களையும் தாக்கி, முற்றுகையிடுகிறவர்கள் ஒரு கனவுபோலவும், இரவின் தரிசனம் போலவும் மறைந்துபோவார்கள்.

All the many nations going out to battle against Ariel— even all who war against her, laying siege and attacking her— will be like a dream, like a vision in the night,

8 அவர்கள் நினைத்திருந்த வெற்றியோ, பசியுள்ளவன் தான் சாப்பிடுவதாகக் கனவு கண்டும் அவன் விழித்தவுடன் பசியுடனே இருப்பதுபோலவும், தாகமுள்ளவன் தான் குடிப்பதாகக் கனவு கண்டும் அவன் விழித்தவுடன் தீராத தாகத்துடன் மயங்குவதுபோலவும், சீயோன் மலையை எதிர்த்துப் போரிடும் எல்லா நாடுகளின் கூட்டத்திற்கும் இருக்கும்.

as when a hungry man dreams he is eating, then awakens still hungry; as when a thirsty man dreams he is drinking, then awakens faint and parched. So will it be for all the many nations who go to battle against Mount Zion.

9 திகைத்து வியப்படையுங்கள்! நீங்களே உங்களைக் குருடர்களாக்கி பார்வையற்றவர்களாய் இருங்கள். வெறிகொள்ளுங்கள், ஆனால் திராட்சை இரசத்தினால் அல்ல; தள்ளாடுங்கள், ஆனால் மதுவினால் அல்ல.

Stop and be astonished; blind yourselves and be sightless; be drunk, but not with wine; stagger, but not from strong drink.

10 யெகோவா உங்கள்மேல் ஆழ்ந்த நித்திரையை வருவித்துள்ளார்: அவர் உங்கள் இறைவாக்கினரினதும் தரிசனம் காண்போரினதும் கண்களை மூடியிருக்கிறார்.

For the LORD has poured out on you a spirit of deep sleep. He has shut your eyes, O prophets; He has covered your heads, O seers.

11 அவர்களுக்கோ இந்த தரிசனம் முழுவதும் முத்திரை இடப்பட்ட சுருளிலிருக்கும் வார்த்தைகளைப்போல் மட்டுமே இருக்கும். நீ அதை வாசிக்கக்கூடிய ஒருவனிடம் கொடுத்து, “தயவுசெய்து இதை வாசி” எனச் சொன்னால் அவன், “எனக்கு வாசிக்க முடியாது. அது முத்திரையிடப்பட்டிருக்கிறது” என்பான்.

And the entire vision will be to you like the words sealed in a scroll. If it is handed to someone to read, he will say, “I cannot, because it is sealed.”

12 அல்லது அந்தச் சுருளை வாசிக்கமுடியாத ஒருவனிடம் கொடுத்து, “தயவுசெய்து இதை வாசி” என்று சொன்னால், அவன், “எப்படி வாசிப்பது என எனக்குத் தெரியாது” என்பான்.

Or if the scroll is handed to one unable to read, he will say, “I cannot read.”

13 எனவே யெகோவா சொல்கிறார்: “இந்த மக்கள் தங்கள் வாயின் வார்த்தைகளினால் என்னைக் கிட்டிச் சேருகிறார்கள்; தங்கள் உதடுகளினால் என்னைக் கனம்பண்ணுகிறார்கள். ஆனால் அவர்களுடைய இருதயங்களோ எனக்கு வெகுதூரமாய் இருக்கின்றன. அவர்கள் எனக்குச் செய்யும் வழிபாடு மனிதர்களால் போதிக்கப்பட்ட சட்டங்களாகவே இருக்கின்றன.

Therefore the Lord said: “These people draw near to Me with their mouths and honor Me with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me. Their worship of Me is but rules taught by men.

14 ஆகையால், இன்னும் ஒருமுறை அதிசயங்கள்மேல் அதிசயங்களால் இம்மக்களை வியப்படையச் செய்வேன். ஞானிகளுடைய ஞானம் அழிந்துபோகும், அறிவாளிகளின் அறிவு ஒழிந்துபோகும்.”

Therefore I will again confound these people with wonder upon wonder. The wisdom of the wise will vanish, and the intelligence of the intelligent will be hidden.”

15 தங்களுடைய திட்டங்களை யெகோவாவிடமிருந்து மறைப்பதற்காக மிக்க முயற்சி செய்கிறவர்களுக்கு ஐயோ கேடு! இருண்ட இடங்களில் தமது செயல்களைச் செய்து, “நம்மைக் காண்பவன் யார்? நம்மை அறிகிறவன் யார்?” என நினைக்கிறவர்களுக்கும் ஐயோ கேடு!

Woe to those who dig deep to hide their plans from the LORD. In darkness they do their works and say, “Who sees us, and who will know?”

16 நீங்கள் காரியங்களைத் தலைகீழாக்கி, குயவனைக் களிமண்ணாக எண்ணுகிறீர்களே! உருவாக்கப்பட்ட பொருள் உருவாக்கியவனைப் பார்த்து, “இவர் என்னை உண்டாக்கவில்லை” என்றும் பாத்திரமானது குயவனைப் பார்த்து, “இவருக்கு ஒன்றுமே தெரியாது” என்றும் கூறலாமோ?

You have turned things upside down, as if the potter were regarded as clay. Shall what is formed say to him who formed it, “He did not make me”? Can the pottery say of the potter, “He has no understanding”?

17 இன்னும் சொற்ப காலத்தில் லெபனோன் ஒரு செழிப்பான வயலாக மாறாதோ? செழிப்பான வயலும் வனமாகக் காணப்படாதோ?

In a very short time, will not Lebanon become an orchard, and the orchard seem like a forest?

18 அந்த நாளில் புத்தகச்சுருளிலுள்ள வார்த்தைகளைச் செவிடர் கேட்பார்கள்; குருடரின் கண்கள் அந்தகாரத்திலும், இருட்டிலும் இருந்து அதைக் காணும்.

On that day the deaf will hear the words of the scroll, and out of the deep darkness the eyes of the blind will see.

19 தாழ்த்தப்பட்டவர்கள் இன்னும் ஒருமுறை யெகோவாவுக்குள் மகிழ்ச்சியடைவார்கள்; எளியோர் இஸ்ரயேலரின் பரிசுத்தரில் களிகூருவார்கள்.

The humble will increase their joy in the LORD, and the poor among men will rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.

20 இரக்கமற்றோர் ஒழிந்துபோவார்கள், ஏளனம் செய்வோர் மறைந்துபோவார்கள்; தீமையை நோக்கும் அனைவரும் இல்லாதொழிக்கப்படுவார்கள்.

For the ruthless will vanish, the mockers will disappear, and all who look for evil will be cut down—

21 இவர்கள் தங்கள் பேச்சினால் ஒருவனைக் குற்றவாளியாக்கி, நீதிமன்றத்தில் தீர்ப்பு வழங்குவோரை இடறப் பண்ணுகிறார்கள். இவ்வாறு பொய்ச் சாட்சியத்தினால் குற்றமற்றவனுக்கு நீதிவழங்க மறுக்கிறார்கள்; அதனாலேயே இல்லாதொழிக்கப்படுவார்கள்.

those who indict a man with a word, who ensnare the mediator at the gate, and who with false charges deprive the innocent of justice.

22 ஆகையால், ஆபிரகாமை மீட்ட யெகோவா, யாக்கோபின் குடும்பத்திற்கு சொல்வது இதுவே: “இனிமேலும் யாக்கோபு வெட்கமடைவதில்லை; அவர்களுடைய முகங்களும் வெளிறிப் போவதில்லை.

Therefore the LORD who redeemed Abraham says of the house of Jacob: “No longer will Jacob be ashamed and no more will his face grow pale.

23 அவர்கள் எனது கரங்களின் வேலையாகிய, தங்கள் பிள்ளைகளை தங்கள் மத்தியில் காணும்போது, எனது பெயரைப் பரிசுத்தமாய் வைத்திருப்பார்கள். அவர்கள் யாக்கோபின் பரிசுத்தரின் பரிசுத்தத்தை உண்மையென்று ஒப்புக்கொண்டு, இஸ்ரயேலின் இறைவனிடம் பயபக்தி உள்ளவர்களாய் இருப்பார்கள்.

For when he sees his children around him, the work of My hands, they will honor My name, they will sanctify the Holy One of Jacob, and they will stand in awe of the God of Israel.

24 சிந்தனையில் தவறு செய்கிறவர்கள் விளக்கம் பெறுவார்கள்; முறையிடுகிறவர்களும் அறிவுறுத்துதலை ஏற்றுக்கொள்வார்கள்.”

Then the wayward in spirit will come to understanding, and those who grumble will accept instruction.”
