ஏசாயா 22

1 தரிசனப் பள்ளத்தாக்கு எனப்படும் எருசலேமைக் குறித்த இறைவாக்கு: வீடுகளின்மேல் போய் இருக்கிறீர்களே, உங்களுக்கு நடந்தது என்ன?

The burden of the valley of vision. What aileth thee now, that thou hast wholly gone up to the housetops?

2 குழப்பம் நிறைந்த நகரமே, ஆரவாரமும் குதூகலமும் உள்ள பட்டணமே, உங்களில் கொல்லப்பட்டவர்கள் வாளினால் கொல்லப்படவில்லை; அல்லது அவர்கள் போரில் சாகவில்லை.

Thou that art full of shoutings, a tumultuous city, a joyous city: thy slain men are not slain with the sword, nor dead in battle.

3 உங்கள் தலைவர்கள் யாவரும் சேர்ந்து ஓடிவிட்டார்கள்; வில்லை நாணேற்றாமலே அவர்கள் கைது செய்யப்பட்டு விட்டார்கள். பகைவன் வெகு தூரத்திலிருக்கும்போதே நீங்கள் தப்பி ஓடினீர்கள்; ஆயினும் நீங்கள் யாவரும் ஒன்றாய் பிடிக்கப்பட்டு கைதிகளாக்கப்பட்டீர்கள்.

All thy rulers have fled together, they are bound by the archers: all that are found in thee are bound together, who have fled from far.

4 ஆகவே நான், “என்னிடமிருந்து திரும்புங்கள்; என்னை மனங்கசந்து அழவிடுங்கள்; என் மக்களின் அழிவின் நிமித்தம் என்னைத் தேற்ற முயலாதீர்கள்” என்றேன்.

Therefore said I, Look away from me; I will weep bitterly, labour not to comfort me, because of the plundering of the daughter of my people.

5 யெகோவா, சேனைகளின் யெகோவா, தரிசனப் பள்ளத்தாக்கிற்கு அமளிக்கும், மிதித்தலுக்கும், திகிலுக்கும் என்று ஒருநாளை ஏற்படுத்தி வைத்திருக்கிறார். அந்த நாளிலே மதில்கள் இடித்து வீழ்த்தப்படும்; மலைகளை நோக்கிக் கூக்குரலிடுவார்கள்.

For it is a day of trouble, and of treading down, and of perplexity by the Lord GOD of hosts in the valley of vision, breaking down the walls, and of crying to the mountains.

6 ஏலாமியர் தமது தேரோட்டிகளோடும், குதிரைகளோடும் தமது அம்புக் கூடுகளை எடுக்கிறார்கள்; கீர் ஊரார் கேடயத்தை வெளியே எடுக்கிறார்கள்.

And Elam bore the quiver with chariots of men and horsemen, and Kir uncovered the shield.

7 உங்கள் செழிப்பான பள்ளத்தாக்குகள் தேர்களினால் நிரம்பி இருக்கின்றன; பட்டணத்து வாசலிலே குதிரைவீரர் நிறுத்தப்பட்டிருக்கிறார்கள்.

And it shall come to pass, that thy choicest valleys shall be full of chariots, and the horsemen shall set themselves in array at the gate.

8 யூதாவின் அரண்கள் அகற்றப்பட்டிருக்கின்றன; அந்த நாளிலே நீங்கள் வன மாளிகையின் ஆயுதங்களில் உங்கள் நம்பிக்கையை வைத்திருந்தீர்கள்.

And he uncovered the coverings of Judah, and thou didst look in that day to the armour of the house of the forest.

9 தாவீதின் பட்டணத்து அரண்களில் பல வெடிப்புகளைக் கண்டீர்கள். நீங்கள் கீழ் குளத்தில் தண்ணீரைச் சேகரித்தீர்கள்.

Ye have seen also the breaches of the city of David, that they are many: and ye gathered together the waters of the lower pool.

10 பின்பு எருசலேமிலுள்ள வீடுகளை எண்ணினீர்கள்; மதிலைப் பலப்படுத்துவதற்காக வீடுகளை உடைத்து வீழ்த்தினீர்கள்.

And ye have numbered the houses of Jerusalem, and the houses have ye broken down to fortify the wall.

11 பழைய குளத்துத் தண்ணீரைச் சேகரிப்பதற்காக, நீங்கள் இரு மதில்களுக்கிடையில் நீர்த்தேக்கம் ஒன்றை அமைத்தீர்கள். ஆனால் இதை உண்டாக்கியவரை நீங்கள் நோக்கவும் இல்லை; ஆதியிலே இதைத் திட்டமிட்டவரை நீங்கள் மதிக்கவும் இல்லை.

Ye made also a ditch between the two walls for the water of the old pool: but ye have not looked to its maker, neither had respect to him that fashioned it long ago.

12 அந்த நாளிலே யெகோவா, சேனைகளின் யெகோவா, அழுவதற்கும், புலம்புவதற்கும், தலைமயிரை மொட்டையிடுவதற்கும், துக்கவுடை உடுத்துவதற்கும் உங்களுக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டார்.

And in that day did the Lord GOD of hosts call to weeping, and to mourning, and to baldness, and to girding with sackcloth:

13 ஆயினும் பாருங்கள், நீங்கள் கொண்டாட்டங்களிலும் மகிழ்ச்சியிலும் குதூகலத்திலும் ஈடுபடுகிறீர்கள். ஆடுமாடுகளை அடித்து, செம்மறியாடுகளையும் வெட்டி, இறைச்சியை சாப்பிட்டு, திராட்சை இரசம் குடிக்கிறீர்கள்! நீங்களோ, “உண்போம், குடிப்போம். ஏனெனில், நாளைக்குச் சாவோம்!” என்று சொல்லுகிறீர்களே.

And behold joy and gladness, slaying oxen, and killing sheep, eating flesh, and drinking wine: let us eat and drink; for to morrow we shall die.

14 என் செவிகேட்க சேனைகளின் யெகோவா இதை வெளிப்படுத்தியிருக்கிறார்: “நீங்கள் சாகும் நாள்வரை, இந்தப் பாவம் நிவிர்த்தியாக்கப்படுவதில்லை” என யெகோவா, சேனைகளின் யெகோவா சொல்கிறார்.

And it was revealed in my ears by the LORD of hosts, Surely this iniquity shall not be purged from you till ye die, saith the Lord GOD of hosts.

15 யெகோவா, சேனைகளின் யெகோவா சொல்வது இதுவே: “நீ போய் அரண்மனைக்குப் பொறுப்பாய் இருக்கும் அதிகாரியான செப்னாவிடம் சொல்லவேண்டியதாவது:

Thus saith the Lord GOD of hosts, Go, get to this treasurer, even to Shebna, who is over the house, and say,

16 நீ இங்கே என்ன செய்கிறாய்? உனக்கென்று இந்த இடத்தில் ஒரு கல்லறையை வெட்டுவதற்கு உனக்கு உத்தரவு கொடுத்தது யார்? உயர்ந்த இடத்தில் உனது கல்லறையை வெட்டவும், கற்பாறையில் உனது இளைப்பாறும் இடத்தைச் செதுக்கவும் உனக்கு உத்தரவு கொடுத்தது யார்?

What hast thou here? and whom hast thou here, that thou hast hewed thee out a sepulchre here, as he that heweth him out a sepulchre on high, and that cut out an habitation for himself in a rock?

17 “வலியவனே, எச்சரிக்கையாயிரு, யெகோவா உன்னை இறுகப் பிடித்துத் தூக்கியெறியப் போகிறார்.

Behold, the LORD will carry thee away with a mighty captivity, and will surely cover thee.

18 அவர் உன்னை இறுக்கமாய் சுருட்டி, ஒரு பந்துபோல் ஆக்கி, ஒரு பெரிய நாட்டிற்குள் எறிவார். அங்கே நீ சாவாய், உனது சிறப்பான தேர்கள் அங்கு இருக்கும்; நீ உன் எஜமான் வீட்டுக்கு அவமானமாய் இருந்தாயே.

With violence he will surely turn and toss thee like a ball into a wide country: there shalt thou die, and there the chariots of thy glory shall be the shame of thy lord’s house.

19 நான் உனது பதவியிலிருந்து உன்னை நீக்குவேன், நீ இருக்கும் நிலையிலிருந்து அகற்றப்படுவாய்.

And I will drive thee from thy station, and from thy state shall he pull thee down.

20 “அந்த நாளிலே, இல்க்கியாவின் மகன் எலியாக்கீம் என்னும் என் அடியவனை அழைப்பேன்.

And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will call my servant Eliakim the son of Hilkiah:

21 உனது உடையை அவனுக்கு உடுத்தி, உனது சால்வையை அவனுடைய இடையில் கட்டி, உன்னிடம் இருந்த அதிகாரத்தை அவனிடம் ஒப்படைப்பேன். எருசலேமின் குடிகளுக்கும் யூதாவின் வீட்டாருக்கும் அவன் தகப்பனாயிருப்பான்.

And I will clothe him with thy robe, and strengthen him with thy belt, and I will commit thy government into his hand: and he shall be a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to the house of Judah.

22 தாவீதின் வீட்டுத் திறப்பை அவனிடம் கொடுப்பேன்; அவன் திறப்பதை யாராலும் மூட இயலாது, அவன் மூடியதை ஒருவராலும் திறக்கவும் இயலாது.

And the key of the house of David will I lay upon his shoulder; so he shall open, and none shall shut; and he shall shut, and none shall open.

23 ஒரு உறுதியான இடத்தில் அவனை ஒரு ஆணியைப்போல் அறைவேன்; அவன் தனது தகப்பன் வீட்டுக்கு ஒரு மகிமையுள்ள இருக்கையாய் இருப்பான்.

And I will fasten him as a nail in a sure place; and he shall be for a glorious throne to his father’s house.

24 அவனுடைய தகப்பன் குடும்பத்தினராகிய பிள்ளைகளும் பேரப்பிள்ளைகளுமான, சிறிய பாத்திரங்கள், கிண்ணங்கள் முதல் பெரிய குடங்கள் வரையுள்ள அனைத்து பாத்திரங்களைப்போல் பெரிய பொறுப்பு அவன்மேல் இருக்கும்.”

And they shall hang upon him all the glory of his father’s house, the offspring and the issue, all vessels of small quantity, from the vessels of cups, even to all the vessels of flagons.

25 சேனைகளின் யெகோவா அறிவிக்கிறதாவது: “அந்த நாளிலே, உறுதியான இடத்தில் அறையப்பட்டிருந்த ஆணி பிடுங்கப்பட்டு, முறிந்து விழும்; அதில் தொங்கியிருந்த பாரமான யாவும் விழுந்துவிடும்.” யெகோவாவே இதைப் பேசியிருக்கிறார்.

In that day, saith the LORD of hosts, shall the nail that is fastened in the sure place be removed, and be cut down, and fall; and the burden that was upon it shall be cut off: for the LORD hath spoken it.
