ஏசாயா 13
1 ஆமோஸின் மகன் ஏசாயா பாபிலோனைப்பற்றிக் கண்ட தரிசனத்தில் கூறப்பட்ட இறைவாக்கு:
The doom of Babylon, which Isaiah Amoz' son foresaw.
2 வறண்ட மலையுச்சியில் கொடியேற்றுங்கள், போர்வீரர்களை கூப்பிடுங்கள்; உயர்குடி மக்களின் வாசல்களுக்குள் போகும்படி அவர்களை அழையுங்கள்.
Upon a high mountain lift ye up a banner, raise high your voice unto them, wave the hand, that they may enter into the gates of the princes.
3 எனது பரிசுத்தவான்களுக்கு கட்டளையிட்டிருக்கிறேன்; எனது கோபத்தை நிறைவேற்ற என் போர்வீரர்களை அழைத்திருக்கிறேன்; அவர்கள் என் வெற்றியில் களிகூறுகிறவர்கள்.
I have charged my prepared ones, I have also called my heroes for my anger, those that rejoice in my highness.
4 கேளுங்கள், மலைகளின்மேல் ஒரு சத்தம் கேட்கிறது! அது பெருந்திரளான மக்களின் இரைச்சல் போலிருக்கிறது. கேளுங்கள், ராஜ்யங்களின் மத்தியில் பெருமுழக்கம் கேட்கிறது! அது பல நாடுகள் ஒன்றுசேர்வது போன்ற ஆரவாரமாயிருக்கிறது. சேனைகளின் யெகோவா போருக்கு ஒரு படையைத் திரட்டுகிறார்.
There is a noise of tumult on the mountains, like that of a numerous people; a noise of shouting of kingdoms of nations assembled; the Lord of hosts mustereth a host of battle.
5 தூர நாடுகளிலிருந்து அவர்கள் வருகிறார்கள்; தொடுவானங்களின் எல்லைகளிலிருந்து வருகிறார்கள். முழு நாட்டையும் அழித்தொழிக்க யெகோவா தமது கோபத்தின் ஆயுதங்களுடன் வருகிறார்.
They are coming from a far-off country, from the end of the heavens, [here is] the Lord, with the weapons of his indignation, to destroy all the land.
6 அழுது புலம்புங்கள், யெகோவாவினுடைய நியாயத்தீர்ப்பின் நாள் சமீபமாகிவிட்டது; அந்த நாள் எல்லாம் வல்லவரிடமிருந்து பேரழிவைப்போல் வரும்.
Wail ye; for nigh is the day of the Lord; like wasting from the Almighty shall it come.
7 இதனால் கைகளெல்லாம் தளர்ந்து போகும்; எல்லா மனிதரின் இருதயமும் உருகிப்போகும்.
Therefore all hands shall become weak, and every mortal's heart shall melt;
8 அவர்களைத் திகில் பற்றிக்கொள்ளும், வலியும் வேதனையும் அவர்களைப் பிடித்துக்கொள்ளும்; பிரசவ வேதனைப்படும் பெண்ணைப்போல் அவர்கள் துடிப்பார்கள். அவர்கள் வெட்கத்தினால் முகம் சிவக்க ஒருவரையொருவர் வியப்புடன் பார்ப்பார்கள்.
And they shall be affrighted, pangs and pains shall seize on them; they shall have throes as a woman that travaileth; one at the other shall they look amazed; red like flames shall their faces glow.
9 பாருங்கள், யெகோவாவினுடைய நியாயத்தீர்ப்பின் நாள் வருகிறது; அது கொடுமையின் நாள், நாட்டைப் பாழாக்குவதற்கும், அங்குள்ள பாவிகளை தண்டிப்பதற்கும், கோபத்துடனும் கடுங்கோபத்துடனும் அது வருகிறது.
Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, direful, [laden] with wrath and the fierceness of anger, to render the earth desolate: and its sinners will he destroy out of it.
10 வானத்து நட்சத்திரங்களும், நட்சத்திரக் கூட்டங்களும் தங்கள் ஒளியைக் கொடாதிருக்கும். சூரியன் உதிக்கும்போது இருண்டுபோகும்; சந்திரனும் தன் ஒளியைக் கொடாதிருக்கும்.
For the stars of the heavens and their constellations shall not give forth their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not shed abroad her light.
11 நான் உலகத்தை அதன் தீமைக்காகவும், கொடியவரை அவர்களுடைய பாவங்களுக்காகவும் தண்டிப்பேன். துன்மார்க்கரின் அகந்தைக்கும் நான் முடிவு செய்வேன்; இரக்கமற்றவர்களின் பெருமையைத் தாழ்த்துவேன்.
And I will visit on the world its evil, and on the wicked their iniquity; and I will stop the arrogance of the presumptuous, and the haughtiness of the tyrants will I humble.
12 சிறந்த தங்கத்தைப் பார்க்கிலும், ஓப்பீர் நாட்டின் தங்கத்தைப் பார்க்கிலும் நான் மனிதரை அபூர்வமாக்குவேன்.
I will make the mortal more precious than fine gold; and man, more than the valued metal of Ophir.
13 ஆகையால் நான் வானங்களை நடுங்கப்பண்ணுவேன்; பூமி தன் நிலையிலிருந்து அசையும். எல்லாம் வல்ல யெகோவாவின் கோபம் பற்றியெரியும் நாளில், அவருடைய கோபத்தில் இது நடக்கும்.
Therefore will I shake the heavens, and the earth shall start quaking out of her place, at the wrath of the Lord of hosts, and on the day of his fierce anger.
14 அப்பொழுது வேட்டையாடப்படும் மானைப்போலவும், மேய்ப்பனில்லாத செம்மறியாட்டைப் போலவும், ஒவ்வொருவனும் தன் சொந்த மக்களிடம் திரும்புவான்; ஒவ்வொருவனும் தன் சொந்த நாட்டுக்குத் தப்பியோடுவான்.
And the people shall be as the chased roe, and as flocks which no one gathereth up; every man to his own people shall they turn, and every man into his own land shall they flee.
15 கைதியாக்கப்பட்டவன் குத்தப்படுவான்; அகப்பட்டவன் வாளினால் சாவான்.
Every one that is found shall be thrust through; and every one that is joined unto them shall fall by the sword.
16 அவர்களுடைய குழந்தைகள் அவர்கள் கண்களின்முன் மோதியடிக்கப்பட்டு, துண்டுகளாக்கப்படுவார்கள்; அவர்களுடைய வீடுகள் கொள்ளையிடப்படும், அவர்களுடைய மனைவிகள் அவமானப்படுவார்கள்.
And their babes shall be dashed to pieces before their eyes: spoiled shall be their houses, and their wives ravished.
17 பாருங்கள், மேதியரை நான் அவர்களுக்கு எதிராக எழுப்புவேன்; அவர்கள் வெள்ளியை மதியாதவர்கள், தங்கத்தில் மகிழ்ச்சி கொள்ளாதவர்கள்.
Behold, I will stir up against them the Medes; who will not regard silver, and who will not delight in gold.
18 அவர்களின் வில்லுகள் வாலிபரைத் தாக்கி வீழ்த்தும்; அவர்கள் குழந்தைகளுக்கு இரக்கம் காட்டமாட்டார்கள், சிறுபிள்ளைகள்மேல் கருணை காட்டவுமாட்டார்கள்.
And their bows will dash young men to pieces; and on the fruit of the womb will they have no mercy; on children their eye will not look with pity.
19 பாபிலோன், சோதோம் கொமோராவைப்போல் இறைவனால் கவிழ்க்கப்படும். இதுவே அரசுகளின் மேன்மையாகவும், கல்தேயரின் பெருமையின் சிறப்பாகவும் இருந்தது.
And [thus] shall Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the proud ornament of the Chaldeans, become like the overthrow through God of Sodom and Gomorrah.
20 வரும் தலைமுறைகளில் ஒருவரும் இனியொருபோதும் அங்கு குடியேறவோ, வசிக்கவோ மாட்டார்கள். அரேபியன் எவனும் அங்கு தனது கூடாரத்தைப் போடமாட்டான். மேய்ப்பன் தன் மந்தைகளை அங்கு இளைப்பாற விடவுமாட்டான்.
It shall not be inhabited for ever, and it shall not be dwelt in from generation to generation; nor shall the Arabian pitch there his tent; and shepherds shall not let their flocks rest there.
21 ஆனால் அங்கு பாலைவன மிருகங்கள் தங்கும்; அவர்களுடைய வீடுகள் நரிகளால் நிரம்பும். ஆந்தைகள் அங்கே குடியிருக்கும்; காட்டாடுகளும் அங்கே துள்ளி விளையாடும்.
But there shall rest the wild beasts of the desert; and their houses shall be full of owls; and ostriches shall dwell there, and evil spirits shall dance there.
22 அரண்செய்யப்பட்ட இடங்களில் ஓநாய்களும், அதன் அலங்காரமான அரண்மனைகளில் நரிகளும் ஊளையிடும். பாபிலோனுக்குரிய வேளை வந்துவிட்டது. அதன் நாட்கள் நீடிக்காது.
And jackals shall howl in her palaces, and monsters in the temples of pleasure; and near to come is her time, and her days shall not be extended.
