ஓசியா 3

1 பின்பு யெகோவா என்னிடம், “நீ உன் மனைவியிடம் திரும்பவும் போய், அவளிடத்தில் அன்பு செலுத்து, அவள் உன் மனைவி. வேறொருவனால் அன்பு செலுத்தப்பட்டவளும், விபசாரியுமாய் இருந்தாலும், நீ அவளில் அன்பு செலுத்து. வேறு தெய்வங்களின் பக்கம் திரும்பி, புனிதமான திராட்சைப்பழ அடைகளை விரும்புகிற இஸ்ரயேலில் யெகோவா அன்பாயிருக்கிறதுபோல, நீயும் அவளில் அன்பாயிரு என்றார்.”

Then said the LORD to me, Go yet, love a woman beloved by [her] friend, yet an adulteress, according to the love of the LORD towards the children of Israel, who look to other gods, and love flagons of wine.

2 எனவே நான் அவளை எனக்காக பதினைந்து வெள்ளிக்காசுகளுக்கும், 150 கிலோ வாற்கோதுமையும் கொடுத்து வாங்கினேன்.

So I bought her to me for fifteen [pieces] of silver, and [for] a homer of barley, and a half homer of barley:

3 பின்பு நான் அவளிடம், “அநேக நாட்களுக்கு நீ என்னுடனே வாழவேண்டும்; நீ வேசியாயிராதே, நீ ஒருவரோடும் பாலுறவு கொள்ளாதே; நான் உனக்காகத் காத்திருப்பேன், நான் உன்னுடன் வாழ்வேன் என்றேன்.”

And I said to her, Thou shalt abide for me many days; thou shalt not play the harlot, and thou shalt not be for [another] man: so [will] I also [be] for thee.

4 இஸ்ரயேலர் அநேக நாட்களுக்கு அரசனும் இளவரசனும் இல்லாமலும், பலியும், ஏபோத்தும், புனிதக் கற்களும் இல்லாமலும் இருப்பார்கள். விக்கிரகங்களுங்கூட இல்லாமல் இருப்பார்கள்.

For the children of Israel shall abide many days without a king and without a prince, and without a sacrifice, and without an image, and without an ephod, and [without] teraphim:

5 இவற்றுக்குப்பின் இஸ்ரயேலர் திரும்ப வந்து, தங்களது இறைவனாகிய யெகோவாவையும், அரசனாகிய தாவீதையும் தேடுவார்கள். கடைசி நாட்களில் அவர்கள் யெகோவாவையும், அவருடைய ஆசீர்வாதங்களையும் நாடி, நடுக்கத்துடன் வருவார்கள்.

Afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek the LORD their God, and David their king; and shall fear the LORD and his goodness in the latter days.
