ஓசியா 13

1 முன்பு எப்பிராயீம் பேசியபோது மனிதர் நடுங்கினார்கள்; அவன் இஸ்ரயேலில் மேன்மை அடைந்திருந்தான். ஆனால் பாகாலை வணங்கிய குற்றத்தினால் அழிந்துபோனான்.

When Ephraim spoke trembling, he exalted himself in Israel; but when he offended in Baal, he died.

2 இப்பொழுதோ அவர்கள் அதிகமதிகமாகப் பாவம் செய்கிறார்கள், அவர்கள் தங்கள் வெள்ளியினாலேயே தங்களுக்கென விக்கிரகங்களைச் செய்கிறார்கள். திறமையாய் வடிவமைக்கப்பட்ட அந்த உருவச்சிலைகள் யாவும் கைவினைஞனின் வேலைப்பாடாய் இருக்கின்றன. இந்த மக்களைக் குறித்து, “அவர்கள் மனித பலிகளைச் செலுத்துகிறார்கள். கன்றுக்குட்டி விக்கிரகத்தை முத்தமிடுகிறார்கள் எனச் சொல்லப்படுகிறது.”

And now they sin more and more, and have made them molten images of their silver, [and] idols according to their own understanding, all of it the work of artificers: they say of them, Let the men that sacrifice kiss the calves.

3 ஆகவே, அவர்கள் காலை நேர மூடுபனிபோலவும், அதிகாலைப் பனிபோலவும் மறைந்துபோவார்கள், சூடடிக்கும் களத்திலிருந்து பறக்கும் பதரைப்போலவும் புகைபோக்கியினூடாகப் போகும் புகையைப்போலவும் இருப்பார்கள்.

Therefore they shall be as the morning cloud, and as the early dew that passeth away, as the chaff [that] is driven with the whirlwind from the floor, and as the smoke from the chimney.

4 “உங்களை எகிப்திலிருந்து வெளியே கொண்டுவந்த உங்கள் இறைவனாகிய யெகோவா நானே; என்னைத்தவிர வேறு இறைவனையும், என்னைத்தவிர வேறு இரட்சகரையும் நீங்கள் அறியவேண்டாம்.

Yet I [am] the LORD thy God from the land of Egypt, and thou shalt know no God but me: for [there is] no savior besides me.

5 மிகவும் வெப்பம் நிறைந்த தேசமான பாலைவனத்தில் நான் அவர்களைப் பாதுகாத்தேன்.

I did know thee in the wilderness, in the land of great drouth.

6 நான் அவர்களுக்கு உணவு கொடுத்தபோது, அவர்கள் திருப்தியடைந்தார்கள்; அவர்கள் திருப்தியடைந்ததும் பெருமை கொண்டார்கள். அதன்பின் அவர்கள் என்னை மறந்துவிட்டார்கள்.

According to their pasture, so were they filled; they were filled, and their heart was exalted; therefore have they forgotten me.

7 ஆகவே நான் அவர்களுக்கு சிங்கத்தைப்போல் இருப்பேன்; அவர்களுடைய வழியின் அருகே சிறுத்தையைப்போல் பதுங்கியிருப்பேன்.

Therefore I will be to them as a lion: as a leopard by the way will I observe [them].

8 தன் குட்டியை இழந்த கரடியைப்போல் நான் அவர்களைத் தாக்கிக் கிழிப்பேன்; சிங்கத்தைப்போல் நான் அவர்களை விழுங்குவேன், காட்டுமிருகம் அவர்களைக் கிழித்துப்போடும்.

I will meet them as a bear [that is] bereaved [of her whelps], and will rend the caul of their heart, and there will I devour them like a lion: the wild beast shall tear them.

9 “இஸ்ரயேலே, உனது உதவியாளரான எனக்கு நீ விரோதமாயிருக்கிறபடியால், நீ அழிவை உண்டாக்கிக்கொண்டாய்.

O Israel, thou hast destroyed thyself; but in me [is] thy help.

10 ஆனால் உன்னைக் காப்பாற்றுவதற்கு உன் அரசன் எங்கே? ‘எனக்கு அரசர்களையும் இளவரசர்களையும் கொடும்’ என்று கேட்டாயே. உன் பட்டணத்திலுள்ள உன்னுடைய அந்த ஆளுநர்கள் எங்கே?

I will be thy king: where [is any other] that may save thee in all thy cities? and thy judges of whom thou saidst, Give me a king and princes?

11 எனது கோபத்தில் நான் உனக்கு அரசனைக் கொடுத்தேன்; பின்பு நான் எனது கோபத்தில் அவனை எடுத்துக்கொண்டேன்.

I gave thee a king in my anger, and took [him] away in my wrath.

12 எப்பிராயீமின் குற்றங்கள் சேர்த்து வைக்கப்பட்டிருக்கின்றன; அவனது பாவங்கள் குறிப்பேட்டில் எழுதப்பட்டுள்ளன.

The iniquity of Ephraim [is] bound up; his sin [is] hid.

13 பிள்ளை பெறுகிற பெண்ணின் வேதனைக்கொத்த வேதனை அவனுக்கு வருகிறது; அவன் ஞானமில்லாத பிள்ளை; பிறக்கும் நேரம் வந்தும் அவன் கருப்பையைவிட்டு வெளியே வராதிருக்கிறான்.

The sorrows of a travailing woman shall come upon him: he [is] an unwise son; for he should not stay long in [the place of] the breaking forth of children.

14 “நான் அவர்களைப் பாதாளத்தின் வல்லமையினின்றும் விடுவிப்பேன்; மரணத்தினின்று மீட்டுக்கொள்வேன். மரணமே, உன் வாதைகள் எங்கே? பாதாளமே, உன் அழிவு எங்கே? “இரக்கத்தை என் கண்களில் நான் காண்பிக்கமாட்டேன். (Sheol h7585)

I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death: O death, I will be thy plagues, O grave, I will be thy destruction: repentance shall be hid from my eyes. (Sheol h7585)

15 இவன் சகோதரரின் மத்தியில் செழித்தோங்கி இருப்பினும், யெகோவாவிடமிருந்து ஒரு கீழ்க்காற்று பாலைவனத்திலிருந்து பலமாக வீசும். அப்பொழுது உனது நீரூற்று வறண்டு, கிணறுகள் காய்ந்து போகும். உனது களஞ்சியத்திலிருந்து உனது திரவியங்கள் எல்லாம் கொள்ளையடிக்கப்படும்.

Though he is fruitful among [his] brethren, an east wind shall come, the wind of the LORD shall come up from the wilderness, and his spring shall become dry, and his fountain shall be dried up: he shall pillage the treasure of all pleasant vessels.

16 சமாரியர் தமது இறைவனுக்கு எதிராகக் கலகம் செய்தபடியினால், அவர்கள் தங்கள் குற்றத்தைச் சுமக்கவேண்டும். அவர்கள் வாளுக்கு இரையாவார்கள்; அவர்களுடைய குழந்தைகள் நிலத்தில் மோதியடிக்கப்படுவார்கள்; அவர்களுடைய கர்ப்பவதிகள் கிழித்தெறியப்படுவார்கள்.”

Samaria shall become desolate; for she hath rebelled against her God: they shall fall by the sword: their infants shall be dashed in pieces, and their women with child shall be ripped up.
