ஓசியா 12
1 எப்பிராயீம் காற்றை மேய்கிறான், நாள்முழுவதும் கொண்டற்காற்றைப் பின்தொடர்ந்து செல்கிறான். பொய்களையும், வன்செயல்களையும் பெருகப்பண்ணுகிறான். அவன் அசீரியாவோடு ஒப்பந்தம் செய்கிறான்; எகிப்திற்கு ஒலிவ எண்ணெய் அனுப்புகிறான்.
Ephraim's food is the wind, and he goes after the east wind: deceit and destruction are increasing day by day; they make an agreement with Assyria, and take oil into Egypt.
2 யூதாவுக்கு எதிரான ஒரு குற்றச்சாட்டு யெகோவாவிடம் இருக்கிறது. யாக்கோபின் மக்களை அவர்களுடைய வழிகளுக்குத்தக்கதாக அவர் தண்டிப்பார்; அவர்களுடைய செயல்களுக்கேற்றபடி அவர்களுக்குப் பிரதிபலன் செய்வார்.
The Lord has a cause against Judah, and will give punishment to Jacob for his ways; he will give him the reward of his acts.
3 யாக்கோபு தாயின் கர்ப்பத்திலேயே, தனது சகோதரனின் குதிங்காலைப் பிடித்துக்கொண்டான்; மனிதனானபோது இறைவனோடு போராடினான்.
In the body of his mother he took his brother by the foot, and in his strength he was fighting with God;
4 அவன் தூதனுடனும் போராடி வெற்றிகொண்டான்; அவன் அவருடைய தயவுக்காக அழுது மன்றாடினான். இறைவன் அவனைப் பெத்தேலில் கண்டு, அங்கே நம்முடன் பேசினார்.
He had a fight with the angel and overcame him; he made request for grace to him with weeping; he came face to face with him in Beth-el and there his words came to him;
5 சேனைகளின் இறைவனாகிய யெகோவா அவரே; யெகோவா என்பது அவரது புகழ்வாய்ந்த பெயர்.
Even the Lord, the God of armies; the Lord is his name.
6 யாக்கோபின் மக்களே, நீங்கள் எல்லோரும் இறைவனிடம் திரும்பிவாருங்கள். அன்பையும் நீதியையும் கடைபிடியுங்கள்; எப்பொழுதும் உங்கள் இறைவனுக்காகக் காத்திருங்கள்.
So then, come back to your God; keep mercy and right, and be waiting at all times on your God.
7 ஆனால் இப்பொழுது நீங்கள் கள்ளத்தராசுகளைப் பயன்படுத்துகிற வியாபாரிபோல் இருக்கிறீர்கள்; அவன் ஏமாற்றுவதையே விரும்புகிறான்.
As for Canaan, the scales of deceit are in his hands; he takes pleasure in twisted ways.
8 அத்துடன் எப்பிராயீமோ, “நான் மிகவும் பணக்காரன்; நான் செல்வந்தனாகிவிட்டேன். என் செல்வத்தினிமித்தம் அவர்கள் என்னில் அநியாயத்தையோ, பாவத்தையோ கண்டுபிடிக்க முடியாது என்று பெருமைப்படுகிறான்.”
And Ephraim said, Now I have got wealth and much property; in all my works no sin may be seen in me.
9 “உங்களை எகிப்திலிருந்து வெளியே கொண்டுவந்த உங்கள் இறைவனாகிய யெகோவா நானே. நான் உங்களது நியமிக்கப்பட்ட பண்டிகையின் நாட்களில் இருப்பதுபோல, நான் திரும்பவும் உங்களைக் கூடாரங்களில் குடியிருக்கப்பண்ணுவேன்.
But I am the Lord your God from the land of Egypt; I will give you tents for your living-places again as in the days of the holy meeting.
10 அத்துடன் நான் இறைவாக்கினருடன் பேசி, அவர்களுக்கு அநேக தரிசனங்களைக் கொடுத்தேன்; அவர்களைக்கொண்டு உவமைகளினால் பேசினேன்.”
My word came to the ears of the prophets and I gave them visions in great number, and by the mouths of the prophets I made use of comparisons.
11 கீலேயாத் கொடுமையானதா? அதன் மக்கள் ஒன்றுக்கும் உதவாதவர்கள்; கில்காலில் காளைகளைப் பலியிடுகிறார்களா? அவர்களுடைய பலிபீடங்கள் உழுத வயலிலுள்ள கற்குவியலைப்போல் ஆகும்.
In Gilead there is evil. They are quite without value; in Gilgal they make offerings of oxen; truly their altars are like masses of stones in the hollows of a ploughed field.
12 யாக்கோபு ஆராமுக்கு ஓடிப்போனான்; இஸ்ரயேல் தனக்கு மனைவியைப் பெறுவதற்காக வேலைசெய்தான்; அவளுக்கான பணத்தைக் கொடுப்பதற்கு செம்மறியாடுகளை மேய்த்தான்.
And Jacob went in flight into the field of Aram, and Israel became a servant for a wife, and for a wife he kept sheep.
13 யெகோவா இறைவாக்கினன் ஒருவனை அனுப்பி, இஸ்ரயேலரை எகிப்திலிருந்து வெளியே கொண்டுவந்தார்; இறைவாக்கினன் மூலம் இஸ்ரயேலரை பராமரித்தார்.
And by a prophet the Lord made Israel come up out of Egypt, and by a prophet he was kept safe.
14 ஆயினும் எப்பிராயீம் யெகோவாவுக்குக் கசப்பாகக் கோபமூட்டியிருக்கிறான்; எனவே அவனுடைய யெகோவா, அவனுடைய இரத்தப்பழியை அவன் மேலேயே சுமத்துவார். அவன் காட்டிய அவமதிப்புக்குத்தக்கதாய் அவனுக்குப் பதில் செய்வார்.
I have been bitterly moved to wrath by Ephraim; so that his blood will be on him, and the Lord will make his shame come back on him.
