எபிரேயர் 8

1 நாங்கள் சொல்வதன் முக்கியமான கருத்து என்னவெனில், நமக்கு அப்படிப்பட்ட பிரதான ஆசாரியர் ஒருவர் இருக்கிறார். அவர் பரலோகத்தில் உன்னதமான இறைவனுடைய அரியணையின் வலதுபக்கத்தில் அமர்ந்திருக்கிறார்.

Nowe of the things which we haue spoken, this is the summe, that wee haue such an hie Priest, that sitteth at the right hand of the throne of the Maiestie in heauens,

2 கிறிஸ்துவாகிய இவர் அங்கே, பரலோகத்தில் பரிசுத்த இடத்தில் ஊழியம் செய்கிறார். இது கர்த்தரால் ஏற்படுத்தப்பட்ட உண்மையான இறைசமுகக் கூடாரம். இது மனிதரால் ஏற்படுத்தப்பட்டதல்ல.

And is a minister of the Sanctuarie, and of that true Tabernacle which the Lord pight, and not man.

3 காணிக்கைகளையும் பலிகளையும் செலுத்துவதற்காகவே ஒவ்வொரு பிரதான ஆசாரியனும் நியமிக்கப்படுகிறான். எனவே இயேசுவும் செலுத்தும்படி, ஏதோ ஒன்றைத் தம்மிடத்தில் வைத்திருக்க வேண்டியிருந்தது.

For euery high Priest is ordeined to offer both giftes and sacrifices: wherefore it was of necessitie, that this man shoulde haue somewhat also to offer.

4 அவர் பூமியில் இருந்திருந்தால், ஒரு ஆசாரியனாய் இருந்திருக்கமாட்டார். ஏனெனில், மோசேயின் சட்டத்தில் குறிப்பிட்டிருக்கிறபடி, காணிக்கைகளைச் செலுத்துகிற ஆசாரியர்கள் ஏற்கெனவே இருக்கிறார்கள்.

For he were not a Priest, if he were on the earth, seeing there are Priestes that according to the Lawe offer giftes,

5 அவர்கள் பரலோகத்திலுள்ள, உண்மையான பரிசுத்த இடத்தின் மாதிரியாகவும், நிழலாகவும் இங்கே இருக்கின்ற ஒரு பரிசுத்த இடத்திலேயே ஊழியம் செய்கிறார்கள். இதனாலேயே மோசே, அந்த இறைசமுகக் கூடாரத்தை அமைக்கத் தொடங்குமுன், அவனுக்கு இறைவன்: “மலையின்மேல் உனக்குக் காண்பிக்கப்பட்ட அந்த மாதிரியின்படியே எல்லாவற்றையும் செய்யும்படி நீ கவனமாயிரு” என்று எச்சரிக்கை கொடுத்தார்.

Who serue vnto the paterne and shadowe of heauenly things, as Moses was warned by God, whe he was about to finish the Tabernacle. See, saide hee, that thou make all thinges according to the paterne, shewed to thee in the mount.

6 இயேசு பெற்றுக்கொண்ட ஊழியம் முந்தைய ஆசாரியர்களின் ஊழியத்தைவிட மேன்மையானது. ஏனெனில், இயேசுவை நடுவராகக் கொண்ட புதிய உடன்படிக்கை, மேன்மையான வாக்குத்தத்தங்களைக் கொண்டு ஏற்படுத்தப்பட்டது, அதினால், அது பழைய உடன்படிக்கையைப் பார்க்கிலும் சிறந்ததாயிருக்கிறது.

But nowe our hie Priest hath obteined a more excellent office, in as much as he is the Mediatour of a better Testament, which is established vpon better promises.

7 ஏனெனில், முதலாவது உடன்படிக்கை குறையற்றதாய் இருந்தால், இரண்டாவது உடன்படிக்கைக்கு அவசியம் ஏற்பட்டிருக்காது.

For if that first Testament had bene vnblameable, no place should haue bene sought for the second.

8 ஆனால், இறைவனோ மக்களில் குறைபாட்டைக் கண்டதினாலேயே: “கர்த்தர் அறிவிக்கிறதாவது, இஸ்ரயேல் குடும்பத்தோடும், யூதா குடும்பத்தோடும் நான் புதிய உடன்படிக்கையைச் செய்துகொள்ளும் நாட்கள் வருகிறது.

For in rebuking them he saith, Beholde, the dayes will come, saith the Lord, when I shall make with the house of Israel, and with the house of Iuda a newe Testament:

9 நான் அவர்களுடைய முற்பிதாக்களை என்னுடைய கரத்தினால் எகிப்திலிருந்து வெளியே வழிநடத்திக் கொண்டுவந்தபோது, நான் அவர்களுடன் செய்த உடன்படிக்கையைப்போல் இருப்பதில்லை; ஏனெனில், அவர்கள் என் உடன்படிக்கையில் நிலைத்திருக்கவில்லை. அதனால் நான், அவர்கள்மேல் கவனம் செலுத்தாமல் இருந்தேன், என்று கர்த்தர் அறிவிக்கிறார்.

Not like the Testament that I made with their fathers, in the day that I tooke them by the hand, to leade them out of the land of Egypt: for they continued not in my Testament, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.

10 அந்த நாட்களுக்குப்பின்பு, நான் இஸ்ரயேல் குடும்பத்துடன் செய்துகொள்ளும் உடன்படிக்கை இதுவே என்று கர்த்தர் அறிவிக்கிறார். நான் எனது சட்டங்களை அவர்களுடைய மனங்களில் வைப்பேன். அவற்றை அவர்களுடைய இருதயங்களில் எழுதுவேன். நான் அவர்களுடைய இறைவனாய் இருப்பேன். அவர்கள் எனது மக்களாய் இருப்பார்கள்.

For this is the Testament that I will make with the house of Israel, After those dayes, saith the Lord, I will put my Lawes in their minde, and in their heart I will write them, and I wil be their God, and they shalbe my people,

11 இனிமேல் ஒருவன் தன் அயலானுக்கோ, அல்லது தன் சகோதரனுக்கோ, ‘கர்த்தரை அறிந்துகொள்’ என்று போதிக்க வேண்டியிருக்காது. ஏனெனில், சிறியவர்களிலிருந்து பெரியவர்கள்வரை எல்லோரும் என்னை அறிந்துகொள்வார்கள்.

And they shall not teache euery man his neighbour and euery man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall knowe me, from the least of them to the greatest of them.

12 நான் அவர்களுடைய அநியாயங்களை மன்னிப்பேன். அவர்களுடைய பாவங்களை ஒருபோதும் ஞாபகத்தில் வைத்திருக்கமாட்டேன்.”

For I will bee mercifull to their vnrighteousnes, and I wil remember their sinnes and their iniquities no more.

13 இந்த உடன்படிக்கையை “புதியது,” என்று சொல்கிறதினாலே, அவர் முதலாவது உடன்படிக்கையை பழமையாக்கினார். எனவே அது பழமையானதும், நாள்பட்டதும், மறைந்து போகிறதுமாயிற்று.

In that he saith a new Testament, he hath abrogate the olde: nowe that which is disanulled and waxed olde, is ready to vanish away.
