எஸ்றா 7
1 இவற்றுக்குப்பின் பெர்சியா அரசன் அர்தசஷ்டாவின் ஆட்சிக்காலத்தில் செராயாவின் மகன் எஸ்றா பாபிலோனில் இருந்து எருசலேமுக்கு வந்தான். எஸ்றா செராயாவின் மகன், செராயா அசரியாவின் மகன், அசரியா இல்க்கியாவின் மகன்,
Now after these things, in the reign of Artaxerxes king of Persia, Ezra the son of Seraiah, the son of Azariah, the son of Hilkiah,
2 இல்க்கியா சல்லூமின் மகன், சல்லூம் சாதோக்கின் மகன், சாதோக் அகிதூபின் மகன்,
the son of Shallum, the son of Zadok, the son of Ahitub,
3 அகிதூப் அமரியாவின் மகன், அமரியா அசரியாவின் மகன், அசரியா மெராயோத்தின் மகன்,
the son of Amariah, the son of Azariah, the son of Meraioth,
4 மெராயோத் செராகியாவின் மகன், செரகியா ஊசியின் மகன், ஊசி புக்கியின் மகன்,
the son of Zerahiah, the son of Uzzi, the son of Bukki,
5 புக்கி அபிசுவாவின் மகன். அபிசுவா பினெகாஸின் மகன், பினெகாஸ் எலெயாசாரின் மகன், எலெயாசாயர் தலைமை ஆசாரியன் ஆரோனின் மகன்.
the son of Abishua, the son of Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the chief priest —
6 இந்த எஸ்றா பாபிலோனிலிருந்து வந்தான். இவன் இஸ்ரயேலின் இறைவனாகிய யெகோவா கொடுத்திருந்த மோசேயின் சட்டத்தை கற்றுத்தேர்ந்த ஆசிரியனாயிருந்தான். அவன் கேட்ட எல்லாவற்றையும் அரசன் அவனுக்குக் கொடுத்தான். ஏனெனில், அவனுடைய இறைவனாகிய யெகோவாவின் கரம் அவனோடிருந்தது.
this Ezra went up from Babylon; and he was a ready scribe in the Law of Moses, which the LORD, the God of Israel, had given; and the king granted him all his request, according to the hand of the LORD his God upon him.
7 அர்தசஷ்டா அரசன் அரசாண்ட ஏழாம் வருடத்தில் இஸ்ரயேல் மக்களில் சிலரான ஆசாரியர்கள், லேவியர்கள், பாடகர்கள், வாசல் காவலர்கள், ஆலய பணியாளர்கள் ஆகியோரும் எஸ்றாவுடன் எருசலேமுக்குப் போனார்கள்.
And there went up some of the children of Israel, and of the priests, and the Levites, and the singers, and the porters, and the Nethinim, unto Jerusalem, in the seventh year of Artaxerxes the king.
8 அரசனின் ஆட்சியின் ஏழாம் வருடம் ஐந்தாம் மாதத்தில் எஸ்றா எருசலேமை வந்துசேர்ந்தான்.
And he came to Jerusalem in the fifth month, which was in the seventh year of the king.
9 அவன் பாபிலோனிலிருந்து முதல் மாதம் முதலாம் நாளிலே தன் பிரயாணத்தைத் தொடங்கி, ஐந்தாம் மாதம் முதலாம் நாள் எருசலேமை வந்தடைந்தான். அவனுடைய இறைவனின் கிருபையின்கரம் அவன்மேல் இருந்தது.
For upon the first day of the first month began he to go up from Babylon, and on the first day of the fifth month came he to Jerusalem, according to the good hand of his God upon him.
10 ஏனெனில் எஸ்றா யெகோவாவின் சட்டத்தைக் கற்பதற்கும், கைக்கொள்வதற்கும், இஸ்ரயேலிலே அதன் விதிமுறைகளையும், சட்டங்களையும் கற்பிக்கவும் தன்னை அர்ப்பணித்திருந்தான்.
For Ezra had set his heart to seek the law of the LORD, and to do it, and to teach in Israel statutes and ordinances.
11 இஸ்ரயேலுக்கான யெகோவாவின் கட்டளைகளையும், விதிமுறைகளையும் குறித்த விஷயங்களைக் கற்றறிந்தவனும், ஆசாரியனும், வேதபாரகனுமாகிய எஸ்றாவுக்கு அர்தசஷ்டா அரசன் கொடுத்திருந்த கடிதத்தின் பிரதி இதுவே:
Now this is the copy of the letter that the king Artaxerxes gave unto Ezra the priest, the scribe, even the scribe of the words of the commandments of the LORD, and of His statutes to Israel:
12 பரலோகத்தின் இறைவனுடைய சட்ட ஆசிரியனான எஸ்றா என்னும் ஆசாரியனுக்கு, அரசர்களுக்கு அரசனான அர்தசஷ்டா வாழ்த்துதல் கூறி எழுதுகிறதாவது,
'Artaxerxes, king of kings, unto Ezra the priest, the scribe of the Law of the God of heaven, and so forth. And now
13 எனது ஆட்சிக்குட்பட்டிருக்கும் இஸ்ரயேல் மக்களுடன், ஆசாரியர்கள், லேவியர்கள் உட்பட யார் எருசலேமுக்கு உன்னுடன் போக விரும்புகிறார்களோ அவர்கள் உன்னுடன் போகலாம் எனக் கட்டளையிடுகிறேன்.
I make a decree, that all they of the people of Israel, and their priests and the Levites, in my realm, that are minded of their own free will to go with thee to Jerusalem, go.
14 உன் கையில் இருக்கிற உன் இறைவனின் சட்டத்தின்படி யூதாவையும், எருசலேமையும் விசாரிப்பதற்காக நீ அனுப்பப்படுகிறாய். நீ அரசனாலும் அவருடைய ஏழு ஆலோசகர்களாலும் அனுப்பப்படுகிறாய்.
Forasmuch as thou art sent of the king and his seven counsellors, to inquire concerning Judah and Jerusalem, according to the law of thy God which is in thy hand;
15 மேலும், நீ அரசனும் அவனுடைய ஆலோசகர்களும் எருசலேமில் வாழ்கின்ற இஸ்ரயேலின் இறைவனுக்குத் தாராளமாய்க் கொடுத்த வெள்ளியையும், தங்கத்தையும் உன்னுடன் எடுத்துச்செல்ல வேண்டும்.
and to carry the silver and gold, which the king and his counsellors have freely offered unto the God of Israel, whose habitation is in Jerusalem,
16 பாபிலோன் நாட்டிலிருந்து உனக்குக் கிடைக்கக்கூடிய எல்லா வெள்ளியையும், தங்கத்தையும் கொண்டுபோ. அத்துடன் எருசலேமில் இருக்கிற தங்கள் இறைவனுக்கென மக்களும், ஆசாரியரும் கொடுத்திருக்கிற சுயவிருப்பக் காணிக்கை யாவையும் எடுத்துச்செல்ல வேண்டும்.
and all the silver and gold that thou shalt find in all the province of Babylon, with the freewill-offering of the people, and of the priests, offering willingly for the house of their God which is in Jerusalem;
17 இப்பணத்தைக் கொண்டு காளைகளையும், ஆட்டுக்கடாக்களையும், ஆட்டுக்குட்டிகளையும் அவற்றுடன் அவற்றுக்கான தானிய காணிக்கைகளையும், பானகாணிக்கைகளையும் வாங்கக் கவனமாயிரு. அவற்றை எருசலேமில் இருக்கிற உன் இறைவனின் ஆலயத்தின் பலிபீடத்தில் பலியிடு.
therefore thou shalt with all diligence buy with this money bullocks, rams, lambs, with their meal-offerings and their drink-offerings, and shalt offer them upon the altar of the house of your God which is in Jerusalem.
18 மிகுதியான வெள்ளியையும், தங்கத்தையும் கொண்டு இறைவனின் திட்டப்படி நீயும் உன் சகோதர யூதர்களும் நலமாய்த் தோன்றும் எதையும் செய்யலாம்.
And whatsoever shall seem good to thee and to thy brethren to do with the rest of the silver and the gold, that do ye after the will of your God.
19 உனது இறைவனுடைய ஆலயத்தின் வழிபாட்டுக்காக உன்னிடம் ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கப்பட்ட எல்லாப் பொருட்களையும் எருசலேமின் இறைவனிடத்தில் ஒப்புவி.
And the vessels that are given thee for the service of the house of thy God, deliver thou before the God of Jerusalem.
20 அத்துடன் உன்னுடைய இறைவனின் ஆலயத்தில் வேறு ஏதாவது கொடுக்கவேண்டிய தேவை ஏற்பட்டால், அரச திரவிய களஞ்சியத்திலிருந்து அது உனக்குக் கொடுக்கப்படும்.
And whatsoever more shall be needful for the house of thy God, which thou shalt have occasion to bestow, bestow it out of the king's treasure-house.
21 அர்தசஷ்டா அரசனாகிய நான் ஐபிராத்து நதிக்கு மறுகரையில் இருக்கும் எல்லா பொருளாளர்களுக்கும், ஆசாரியனாகவும் பரலோகத்தின் இறைவனின் சட்டங்களைக் கற்பிக்கிறவனுமான எஸ்றா உங்களிடம் கேட்கிறதையெல்லாம் காலம் தாழ்த்தாது கொடுக்கக் கவனமாயிருக்கும்படி உத்தரவிடுகிறேன்.
And I, even I Artaxerxes the king, do make a decree to all the treasurers that are beyond the River, that whatsoever Ezra the priest, the scribe of the Law of the God of heaven, shall require of you, it be done with all diligence,
22 நூறு தாலந்து வெள்ளி, நூறுபடி கோதுமை நூறு குடம் திராட்சை இரசம், நூறு குடம் ஒலிவ எண்ணெய் ஆகிய அளவுவரை கொடுங்கள். அத்துடன் தேவையான அளவு உப்பையும் கொடுங்கள்.
unto a hundred talents of silver, and to a hundred measures of wheat, and to a hundred baths of wine, and to a hundred baths of oil, and salt without prescribing how much.
23 பரலோகத்தின் இறைவன் விவரித்தபடி, எல்லாம் பரலோக இறைவனின் ஆலயத்திற்காகக் கவனத்துடன் செய்யப்படட்டும். அரசனுடைய பிரதேசத்துக்கும், அவனுடைய மகன்களுக்கும் எதிராக ஏன் அவரின் கோபம் உண்டாக வேண்டும்.
Whatsoever is commanded by the God of heaven, let it be done exactly for the house of the God of heaven; for why should there be wrath against the realm of the king and his sons?
24 அத்துடன் ஆசாரியர்கள், லேவியர்கள், பாடகர்கள், வாசல் காவலர்கள், ஆலய பணியாளர், இறைவனின் மற்ற ஆலய ஊழியக்காரர் ஆகியோரிடம் எவ்வித வரியோ, தீர்வையோ, திறையோ வசூலிக்க உங்களுக்கு அதிகாரம் இல்லையென்பதை நீங்கள் அறியவேண்டும்.
Also we announce to you, that touching any of the priests and Levites, the singers, porters, Nethinim, or servants of this house of God, it shall not be lawful to impose tribute, impost, or toll, upon them.
25 எஸ்றாவாகிய நீயோ, உன்னிடம் இருக்கும் உனது இறைவனின் ஞானத்தின்படி, நதிக்கு மறுகரையில் இருக்கும் மக்களான உன் இறைவனின் சட்டங்களை அறிந்திருக்கும் யாவருக்கும் நீதி வழங்கும்படி, நீதிபதிகளையும், உப நீதிபதிகளையும் நியமி. அவற்றை அறியாத மக்களுக்கு நீ கற்பிக்க வேண்டும்.
And thou, Ezra, after the wisdom of thy God that is in thy hand, appoint magistrates and judges, who may judge all the people that are beyond the River, all such as know the laws of thy God; and teach ye him that knoweth them not.
26 உனது இறைவனின் சட்டங்களுக்கும், அரசனின் சட்டங்களுக்கும் கீழ்ப்படியாதவன் எவனோ, அவன் மரண தண்டனை, நாடுகடத்தப்படல், சொத்துக்கள் பறிமுதல் அல்லது சிறைத் தண்டனை ஆகியவற்றில் ஒன்றினால் நிச்சயமாகத் தண்டிக்கப்பட வேண்டும்.
And whosoever will not do the law of thy God, and the law of the king, let judgment be executed upon him with all diligence, whether it be unto death, or to banishment, or to confiscation of goods, or to imprisonment.'
27 இவ்விதமாய் எருசலேமிலுள்ள ஆலயத்துக்கு அலங்கரிக்கும்படி அரசனின் இருதயத்தை ஏவிய எங்கள் முற்பிதாக்களின் இறைவனாகிய யெகோவாவுக்குத் துதி உண்டாவதாக.
Blessed be the LORD, the God of our fathers, who hath put such a thing as this in the king's heart, to beautify the house of the LORD which is in Jerusalem;
28 அரசனுக்கும், அவரது ஆலோசகருக்கும், அரசனின் வல்லமையுள்ள அதிகாரிகள் எல்லோருக்கும் முன்பு அவர் எனக்குத் தயவு காண்பித்தார். என்மேல் இறைவனாகிய யெகோவாவின் கரம் இருந்ததால், நான் தைரியங்கொண்டு என்னுடன் போவதற்கு இஸ்ரயேலில் இருந்து முதன்மையான மனிதர்களை ஒன்றுசேர்த்தேன்.
and hath extended mercy unto me before the king, and his counsellors, and before all the king's mighty princes. And I was strengthened according to the hand of the LORD my God upon me, and I gathered together out of Israel chief men to go up with me.
