எசேக்கியேல் 35
1 யெகோவாவின் வார்த்தை எனக்கு வந்தது:

2 “மனுபுத்திரனே, நீ சேயீர்மலைக்கு எதிராக உன் முகத்தைத் திருப்பி அதற்கு விரோதமாக இறைவாக்கு சொல்.

3 நீ சொல்லவேண்டியதாவது, ‘ஆண்டவராகிய யெகோவா கூறுவது இதுவே. சேயீர்மலையே! நான் உனக்கு விரோதமாயிருக்கிறேன். நான் உனக்கு விரோதமாய் எனது கரத்தை நீட்டி, உன்னைப் பாழாக்குவேன்.

4 நான் உனது பட்டணங்களை இடிந்துபோகப்பண்ணுவேன். நீ பாழாக்கிவிடப்படுவாய். அப்பொழுது நானே யெகோவா என்பதை நீ அறிந்துகொள்வாய்.

5 “‘இஸ்ரயேலின் தண்டனை உச்சமடைந்து, அவர்கள் துன்பத்திலிருந்த வேளையில் நீ பழைய பகைமையை நினைவில் வைத்திருந்தபடியினால், அவர்களை வாளுக்கு இரையாக்கினாய்.

6 ஆகையால் நான் வாழ்வது நிச்சயம்போலவே, உன்னை நான் இரத்தம் சிந்துதலுக்கு ஒப்புக்கொடுப்பேன். அது உன்னைத் தொடரும். இரத்தம் சிந்துதலை நீ வெறுக்காதபடியால், இரத்தம் சிந்துதல் உன்னைத் தொடரவே செய்யும் என்பதும் நிச்சயம் என ஆண்டவராகிய யெகோவா அறிவிக்கிறார்.

7 சேயீர்மலையைப் பாழாக்கி, போவோரையும் வருவோரையும் அதிலிருந்து அகற்றிவிடுவேன்.

8 நான் உன் மலைகளைக் கொலையுண்டோரால் நிரப்புவேன். வாளினால் கொல்லப்பட்டோர் உனது குன்றுகளிலும், பள்ளத்தாக்குகளிலும் உன் சகல கணவாய்களிலும் விழுவார்கள்.

9 நான் உன்னை என்றென்றும் பாழாயிருக்கும்படி செய்வேன். உனது பட்டணங்கள் குடியேற்றப்படுவதில்லை; அப்பொழுது நானே யெகோவா என்பதை நீ அறிந்துகொள்வாய்.

10 “‘யெகோவாவாகிய நான் அங்கு இருப்பினும், “இஸ்ரயேல் யூதா ஆகிய இவ்விரு நாடுகளும், அவைகளின் நாடுகளும் எங்களுடையதாகும்; அவைகளை நாம் உடைமையாக்கிக்கொள்வோம்” என்றும் நீ சொன்னாய்.

11 ஆதலால் ஆண்டவராகிய யெகோவா கூறுவது இதுவே: நான் வாழ்வது நிச்சயம்போலவே, நீ அவர்களில்கொண்ட வெறுப்பினால் காட்டிய கோபத்திற்கும் எரிச்சலுக்கும் ஏற்றவாறு நான் உன்னை நடத்துவேன். நான் உனக்குத் தீர்ப்பிடும்போது, அவர்கள் மத்தியில் என்னை அறிந்துகொள்ளச் செய்வேன் என்பதும் நிச்சயம்.

12 அப்பொழுது இஸ்ரயேலின் மலைகளுக்கு விரோதமாக நீ சொன்ன இழிவான காரியங்களையெல்லாம் யெகோவாவாகிய நான் கேட்டேன் என்பதை நீ அறிந்துகொள்வாய். “அவை பாழாக்கப்பட்டு எங்களுக்கு இரையாகக் கொடுக்கப்பட்டது” என்று நீ சொன்னாயே.

13 நீ எனக்கு விரோதமாய் பெருமைபாராட்டி, அடக்கமின்றி எனக்கு விரோதமாய்ப் பேசினாய். அதை நான் கேட்டேன்.

14 ஆண்டவராகிய யெகோவா கூறுவது இதுவே. பூமி முழுவதுமே மகிழ்ந்து கொண்டிருக்கையில் நான் உன்னைப் பாழாகும்படி செய்வேன்.

15 ஏனெனில், இஸ்ரயேலின் உரிமைச்சொத்து பாழாகியபோது நீ மகிழ்ந்தாயே. அவ்வாறே நானும் உனக்குச் செய்வேன். நீ பாழாக்கப்படுவாய். சேயீர்மலையே, நீயும் முழு ஏதோமும் பாழாக்கப்படுவீர்கள். அப்பொழுது நானே யெகோவா என்பதை அவர்கள் அறிந்துகொள்வார்கள் என்று சொல் என்றார்.’”
