எசேக்கியேல் 17
1 யெகோவாவின் வார்த்தை எனக்கு வந்தது.
And the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
2 “மனுபுத்திரனே, ஒரு விடுகதையை ஆயத்தப்படுத்தி, நீ இஸ்ரயேல் குடும்பத்தாருக்கு ஒரு உவமையைச் சொல்
Son of man, put forth a riddle, and speak a parable to the house of Israel;
3 நீ அவர்களுக்குச் சொல்லவேண்டியதாவது: ஆண்டவராகிய யெகோவா கூறுவது இதுவே: ‘ஒரு பெரிய கழுகு லெபனோனுக்கு வந்தது. அது பெரிய இறகுகளையும், நீண்ட இறகுகளையும், பலவர்ணமுள்ள அடர்ந்த இறகுகளையும் உடையதாய் இருந்தது. அது ஒரு கேதுருமரத்தின் உச்சிக்கிளையைப் பிடித்தது.
And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; A great eagle with great wings, long-winged, full of feathers, which had divers colors, came to Lebanon, and took the highest branch of the cedar:
4 அது அந்த உச்சியிலுள்ள தளிரைக் கொய்து, வர்த்தகர்களின் நாடொன்றுக்குக் கொண்டுபோய் வியாபாரிகளின் பட்டணமொன்றில் அதை நாட்டியது.
He cropped off the top of its young twigs, and carried it into a land of traffick; he set it in a city of merchants.
5 “‘அத்துடன் அது உன் நாட்டின் விதைகள் சிலவற்றையும் எடுத்து, வளமிக்க நிலத்தில் விதைத்தது. அதை மிகுந்த தண்ணீரின் ஓரமாய் ஒரு புன்னை மரக்கன்றைப்போல் நாட்டியது.
He took also of the seed of the land, and planted it in a fruitful field; he placed [it] by great waters, [and] set it [as] a willow tree.
6 அது துளிர்த்து, தாழ்ந்து படரும் திராட்சைக்கொடியாகியது. அதன் கிளைகள் அக்கழுகுக்கு நேராகத் திரும்பின. அதன் வேர்கள் கீழ்நோக்கிப் போனது. இவ்விதமாய் அது ஒரு திராட்சைக்கொடியாகி கிளைகளைவிட்டுச் செழிப்பான கொப்புகளைப் படரவிட்டது.
And it grew, and became a spreading vine of low stature, whose branches turned towards him, and its roots were under him: so it became a vine, and brought forth branches, and shot forth sprigs.
7 “‘ஆனால் பெரிய இறகுகளையும், அடர்த்தியான இறகுகளையும் கொண்ட வேறொரு பெரிய கழுகும் அங்கே வந்தது. அப்பொழுது இந்தத் திராட்சைச்கொடி, தான் நாட்டப்பட்ட இடத்திலிருந்து, இந்தக் கழுகுக்கு நேராகத் தன் வேர்களைத் திருப்பிவிட்டது. தண்ணீரைப் பெற்றுக்கொள்ளும்படி அக்கழுகை நோக்கித் தன் கிளைகளையும் படரவிட்டது.
There was also another great eagle with great wings and many feathers: and behold, this vine did bend her roots towards him, and shot forth her branches towards him, that he might water it by the furrows of her plantation.
8 அந்தத் திராட்சைக்கொடி கிளைகளைப் பரப்பி, ஒரு சிறந்த திராட்சைக் கொடியாக வளர்ந்து பழம் தரும்படி, அந்த முதலாம் கழுகினால் அதிக தண்ணீர் அருகே நல்ல நிலத்தில் நாட்டப்பட்டிருந்தது அப்படியிருந்தும் அது இரண்டாம் கழுகை நோக்கிச்சென்றது.’
It was planted in a good soil by great waters, that it might bring forth branches, and that it might bear fruit, that it might be a goodly vine.
9 “நீ இஸ்ரயேலருக்குச் சொல்லவேண்டியதாவது, ‘ஆண்டவராகிய யெகோவா கூறுவது இதுவே: அந்தக் கொடி செழிக்குமோ? அது வேரோடு பிடுங்கப்பட்டு, பழங்களும் முழுவதும் உதிர்த்தப்பட்டு அது பட்டுப்போகாதோ? அதின் இளந்தளிர்கள் எல்லாமே வாடிப்போகும். அதை வேரோடு பிடுங்குவதற்கு பலத்த கைகளோ அதிக ஆட்களோ அவசியமில்லை.
Say thou, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Shall it prosper? shall he not pull up its roots, and cut off its fruit, that it may wither? it shall wither in all the leaves of her spring, even without great power or many people to pluck it up by its roots.
10 அது இடம் பெயர்த்து திரும்பவும் நாட்டப்பட்டாலும் செழிக்குமோ? கீழ்க்காற்று அதின்மேல் வீசும்போது அது முழுமையாகப் பட்டுப்போகாதோ?’” அது நன்றாய் வளர்ந்த இடத்திலேயே அது பட்டுப்போகுமே என்கிறார்.
Yes, behold, [being] planted, shall it prosper? shall it not utterly wither, when the east wind toucheth it? it shall wither in the furrows where it grew.
11 பின்பு யெகோவாவினுடைய வார்த்தை எனக்கு வந்தது.
Moreover the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
12 “இக்காரியங்கள் எவைகளைக் குறிக்கின்றன என்பது உங்களுக்குத் தெரியுமா? ‘என இக்கலகம் செய்யும் குடும்பத்தாரிடம் கேள்.’ மேலும் நீ அவர்களிடம் சொல்லவேண்டியதாவது; ‘பாபிலோனிய அரசன் எருசலேமுக்குப் போய் அதன் அரசனையும் உயர்குடி மக்களையும் தன்னுடனேகூட பாபிலோனுக்குக் கொண்டுவந்தான்.
Say now to the rebellious house, Know ye not what these [things mean]? tell [them], Behold, the king of Babylon hath come to Jerusalem, and hath taken its king, and its princes, and led them with him to Babylon;
13 பின்பு பாபிலோனிய அரசன் அரச குடும்பத்திலிருந்து சிதேக்கியாவை அரசனாகத் தெரிந்துகொண்டு, அவனோடு உடன்படிக்கைச்செய்து, சத்தியமும் வாங்கிக்கொண்டான். ஆனால் நாட்டின் தலைவர்களையோ அவன் தன்னோடு கொண்டுபோனான்.
And hath taken of the king's seed, and made a covenant with him, and hath taken an oath from him: he hath also taken the mighty of the land:
14 இஸ்ரயேல் மீண்டும் எழும்பாதபடி வலிமை குறையவும், அவனுடைய உடன்படிக்கை மட்டும் கைக்கொள்ளப்பட்டு நிலைத்திருக்கவுமே அவ்வாறு செய்தான்.
That the kingdom might be base, that it might not lift itself up, [but] that by keeping his covenant it might stand.
15 ஆனால் சிதேக்கியா அரசனோ குதிரைகளையும் ஒரு பெரிய படையையும் பெறுவதற்காக தனது தூதுவர்களை எகிப்திற்கு அனுப்பினான். இவ்விதம் இவன் பாபிலோனுக்கு விரோதமாய்க் கலகம் செய்தான். அவனுக்கு வெற்றி கிடைக்குமோ? இத்தகைய காரியங்களைச் செய்கிறவன் தப்புவானோ? உடன்படிக்கையை முறித்துக்கொண்ட பின்பு அவன் தப்பிக்கொள்வானோ?
But he rebelled against him in sending his embassadors into Egypt, that they might give him horses and many people. Shall he prosper? shall he escape that doeth such [things]? or shall he break the covenant, and be delivered?
16 “‘இல்லையே தன்னை அரசனாக்கிய பாபிலோன் அரசனுடைய சத்தியத்தை அவமதித்து, அவனுடைய உடன்படிக்கையையும் முறித்துப்போட்டானே. எனவே சிதேக்கியா அந்த அரசனின் நாடாகிய பாபிலோனிலேயே மரணமடைவான். நான் வாழ்வது நிச்சயம்போலவே இவ்வாறு நடப்பதும் நிச்சயம் என ஆண்டவராகிய யெகோவா அறிவிக்கிறார்.
[As] I live, saith the Lord GOD, surely in the place [where] the king [dwelleth] that made him king, whose oath he despised, and whose covenant he broke, [even] with him in the midst of Babylon he shall die.
17 அநேக உயிர்களை அழிக்கும்படி எருசலேமுக்கெதிராக முற்றுகைகளும், அரண்களும், கொத்தளங்களும், அமைக்கப்படும்போது, பார்வோனும், அவனுடைய பெரும் படைகளும், அவனுடைய மக்கள் திரளும் யுத்தத்தில் சிதேக்கியாவுக்கு உதவியாக இருக்கமாட்டார்கள்.
Neither shall Pharaoh with [his] mighty army and great company make for him in the war, by casting up mounts, and building forts, to cut off many persons:
18 அவன் உடன்படிக்கையை மீறி, சத்தியத்தை அசட்டை செய்துவிட்டான். கைகொடுத்து ஆணையிட்டிருந்தும், அவன் இக்காரியங்களைச் செய்தபடியால் தப்பவேமாட்டான்.
Seeing he despised the oath by breaking the covenant, when lo, he had given his hand, and hath done all these [things], he shall not escape.
19 “‘ஆகவே ஆண்டவராகிய யெகோவா கூறுவது இதுவே: நான் வாழ்வது நிச்சயம்போலவே, அவன் உதாசீனம் செய்த என் சத்தியத்தையும், அவன் மீறிய என் உடன்படிக்கையையும் நான் அவன் தலைமீது வரப்பண்ணுவேன் என்பதும் நிச்சயம்.
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; [As] I live, surely my oath that he hath despised, and my covenant that he hath broken, even that will I recompense upon his own head.
20 நான் என் வலையை அவனுக்கு விரிப்பேன். அவன் என் கண்ணியில் அகப்படுவான், நான் அவனைப் பாபிலோனுக்குக் கொண்டுவந்து, அவன் எனக்கு உண்மையற்றவனாய் நடந்ததினிமித்தம் அவனுக்குத் தண்டனை கொடுப்பேன்.
And I will spread my net upon him, and he shall be taken in my snare, and I will bring him to Babylon, and will plead with him there for his trespass that he hath trespassed against me.
21 பயந்து ஓடும் அவனுடைய படையினர் அனைவரும் வாளினால் மடிவார்கள். மீதியாய் இருப்பவர்கள் திசையெங்கும் சிதறடிக்கப்படுவார்கள். அப்பொழுது யெகோவாவாகிய நானே பேசினேன் என்பதை நீங்கள் அறிந்துகொள்வீர்கள்.
And all his fugitives with all his bands shall fall by the sword, and they that remain shall be scattered towards all winds: and ye shall know that I the LORD have spoken [it].
22 “‘ஆண்டவராகிய யெகோவா கூறுவது இதுவே. கேதுருமரத்தின் உச்சியிலிருந்து நானே ஒரு துளிரை எடுத்து அதை நாட்டுவேன். அதனுடைய நுனியிலிருக்கும் துளிர்களிலிருந்து இளங்கிளை ஒன்றை முறித்து அதை உயர்ந்ததும் கம்பீரமானதுமான மலையொன்றில் நாட்டுவேன்.
Thus saith the Lord God, I will also take of the highest branch of the high cedar, and will set [it]; I will crop off from the top of its young twigs a tender one, and will plant [it] upon a high mountain and eminent:
23 இஸ்ரயேலின் மலையுச்சிகளில் அதை நான் நாட்டுவேன். அது கிளைகளைப் பரப்பி, பழங்களைக் கொடுத்து, சிறப்பான கேதுரு மரமாகும். எல்லாவித பறவைகளும் அதில் கூடுகட்டும். அதன் கிளைகளின் நிழலிலே அவை தஞ்சமடையும்.
In the mountain of the hight of Israel will I plant it: and it shall bring forth boughs, and bear fruit, and be a goodly cedar: and under it shall dwell all fowl of every wing; in the shade of its branches shall they dwell.
24 அப்பொழுது உயர்ந்த மரத்தைத் தாழ்த்தி, தாழ்ந்த மரத்தை உயரமாய் வளரப்பண்ணுகிறவர் யெகோவாவாகிய நானே என்பதை வெளியின் மரங்களெல்லாம் அறிந்துகொள்ளும். பச்சை மரத்தைப் பட்டுப்போகப்பண்ணுகிறவரும், பட்டுப்போனதைத் தளைக்கப்பண்ணுகிறவரும் யெகோவாவாகிய நானே என்பதையும் அவை அறிந்துகொள்ளும். “‘யெகோவாவாகிய நானே இதைச் சொன்னேன், நானே இதைச் செய்வேன்,’” என்றார்.
And all the trees of the field shall know that I the LORD have brought down the high tree, have exalted the low tree, have dried up the green tree, and have made the dry tree to flourish: I the LORD have spoken and have done [it].
