யாத்திராகமம் 34

1 மேலும் யெகோவா மோசேயிடம், “நீ முந்தினவைகளைப்போன்ற இரண்டு கற்பலகைகளைச் செதுக்கி எடுத்துக்கொள். நீ உடைத்துப்போட்ட முந்தின கற்பலகைகளில் இருந்த வார்த்தைகளை நான் இந்தக் கற்பலகைகளில் எழுதுவேன்.

And the Lord said unto Moses, Hew thyself two tables of stone like unto the first; and I will write upon these tables the words which were on the first tables, which thou didst break.

2 நாளை காலையில் நீ ஆயத்தமாகி, சீனாய் மலைக்குமேல் ஏறி வா. மலை உச்சியில் எனது முன்னிலையில் வந்து நில்.

And be ready by the morning, and come up in the morning unto mount Sinai, and present thyself there to me on the top of the mount.

3 உன்னுடன் வேறெவரும் வரக்கூடாது. மலையின் எந்தப்பகுதியிலும் எங்காவது காணப்படவும் கூடாது. ஆடுமாடுகளும் அந்த மலைக்கு முன்னால் மேயக்கூடாது” என்றார்.

And no man shall come up with thee, neither let any man be seen throughout all the mount; neither let the flocks or herds feed near this mount.

4 மோசே யெகோவா தனக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடியே, முந்தின கற்பலகைகளைப்போன்ற இரண்டு கற்பலகைகளையும் செதுக்கி, அதிகாலையில் எழுந்து, அந்த இரண்டு கற்பலகைகளையும் தன் கைகளில் எடுத்துக்கொண்டு, சீனாய் மலைக்கு ஏறிப்போனான்.

And he hewed two tables of stone like unto the first, and Moses rose up early in the morning, and went up unto mount Sinai, as the Lord had commanded him; and he took in his hand the two tables of stone.

5 அப்பொழுது யெகோவா மேகத்தில் இறங்கி அங்கே மோசேயுடன் நின்று, யெகோவா என்ற தமது பெயரைப் பிரசித்தப்படுத்தினார்.

And the Lord descended in a cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed, by name, the Lord.

6 அவர் மோசேயின் முன்னால் கடந்து போகையில், “யெகோவா! யெகோவா! மன இரக்கமும், கிருபையும் உள்ள இறைவன். கோபப்படுவதற்குத் தாமதிக்கிறவர். அன்பிலும், உண்மையிலும் நிறைந்தவர்.

And the Lord passed by before him, and proclaimed, The Lord is the immutable, eternal Being, the omnipotent God, merciful and gracious, long-suffering and abundant in beneficence and truth;

7 ஆயிரம் தலைமுறைகளுக்கு அசையாத அன்பைக் காட்டுகிறவர். கொடுமையையும், கலகத்தையும், பாவத்தையும் மன்னிக்கிறவர். அப்படியிருந்தும் அவர் குற்றவாளிகளைத் தண்டியாமல் தப்பவிடுகிறவர் அல்ல. பெற்றோரின் பாவத்திற்காக பிள்ளைகளையும், பிள்ளைகளின் பிள்ளைகளையும் அவர்களின் மூன்றாம், நான்காம் தலைமுறைவரைக்கும் தண்டிக்கிறவர்” என்று பிரசித்தப்படுத்தினார்.

Keeping mercy unto the thousandth [generation], forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, but who will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.

8 உடனே மோசே, தரையில் விழுந்து வழிபட்டான்.

And Moses made haste, and bowed his head toward the earth, and prostrated himself.

9 அவன், “யெகோவாவே, நான் உம்முடைய கண்களில் தயவு பெற்றிருந்தேன் என்றால், யெகோவாவாகிய நீர் எங்களுடன் வாரும். மக்கள் பிடிவாத குணமுள்ளவர்களாய் இருந்தாலும் எங்கள் கொடுமைகளையும், பாவத்தையும் மன்னித்து, எங்களை உமது உரிமைச்சொத்தாக ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளும்” என்றான்.

And he said, If now I have found grace in thy eyes, O Lord, let the Lord, I pray thee, go among us; even because it is a stiffnecked people; and pardon thou our iniquity and our sin, and take us for thy heritage.

10 அதற்கு யெகோவா, “நான் உன்னுடன் ஒரு உடன்படிக்கை செய்கிறேன். முழு உலகத்திலும், எந்த நாட்டினரின் மத்தியிலும் முன் ஒருபோதும் செய்யப்படாத அதிசயங்களை உன் மக்களுக்கு முன்பாகச் செய்வேன். யெகோவாவாகிய நான் உனக்காகச் செய்யப்போகும் செயல் எவ்வளவு பிரமிப்புக்குரியதாய் இருக்கும் என்பதை உன்னோடுகூட வாழும் மக்கள் காண்பார்கள்.

And he said, Behold, I make a covenant: before all thy people will I perform wonders, such as have not been done on all the earth, nor in any nation; and all the people amongst whom thou art shall see the work of the Lord; for it is a terrible thing that I will do with thee.

11 இன்று நான் உனக்குக் கட்டளையிடுகிறதற்கு நீ கீழ்ப்படி. நான் எமோரியர், கானானியர், ஏத்தியர், பெரிசியர், ஏவியர், எபூசியர் ஆகியோரை உனக்கு முன்பாக வெளியே துரத்திவிடுவேன்.

Observe thou that which I command thee this day; behold, I will drive out before thee the Emorite, and the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite.

12 நீ போய்ச்சேரும் நாட்டிலுள்ள மக்களோடு எந்த விதமான உடன்படிக்கையையும் செய்யாதிருக்கக் கவனமாயிரு. மீறினால் அவர்கள் உங்கள் மத்தியில் கண்ணியாயிருப்பார்கள்.

Take heed to thyself, lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land against which thou goest up, lest it be for a snare in the midst of thee;

13 நீயோ அவர்களுடைய பலிபீடங்களை இடித்து, விக்கிரகங்களை உடைத்து, அவர்களுடைய அசேரா விக்கிரகக் கம்பங்களை வெட்டி அழித்துவிடவேண்டும்.

But their altars shall ye destroy, and their statues shall ye break, and their groves shall ye cut down.

14 நீ வேறெந்த தெய்வத்தையும் வணங்காதே. வைராக்கியமுடையவர் என்ற பெயருடைய யெகோவா, தமக்குரிய வழிபாட்டைக் குறித்து வைராக்கியமுடைய இறைவன்.

For thou shalt worship no other God; for the Lord whose name is Watchful, is a watchful God.

15 “நீ அந்நாட்டிலுள்ள மக்களோடு உடன்படிக்கை செய்யாமலிருக்க கவனமாயிரு. ஏனெனில், அவர்கள் தங்கள் தெய்வங்களுக்குப் பலிசெலுத்திப் பாவம் செய்யும்போது, பலிகளைச் சாப்பிடும்படி உங்களை அழைத்தால், ஒருவேளை நீங்கள் அவர்களுடன் சேர்ந்து அதைச் சாப்பிடுவீர்கள்.

Make thou then no covenant with the inhabitants of the land; lest that, if they go astray after their gods, and sacrifice unto their gods, any one call thee, and thou eat of his sacrifice;

16 நீங்கள் உங்கள் மகன்களுக்கு அவர்களுடைய மகள்களை மனைவிகளாகத் தெரிந்துகொள்ளும்போது, அவர்களுடைய மகள்கள் தங்கள் தெய்வங்களுக்குப் பலிகளைச் செலுத்தி பாவம் செய்து, அதைச் செய்யும்படி உங்கள் மகன்களையும் தூண்டுவார்கள்.

And lest thou take of his daughters unto thy sons; and when his daughters go astray after their gods, they make thy sons also go astray after their gods.

17 “வார்க்கப்பட்ட விக்கிரகங்களைச் செய்யவேண்டாம்.

Thou shalt not make unto thyself any molten gods.

18 “புளிப்பில்லாத அப்பப்பண்டிகையைக் கொண்டாடுங்கள். நான் உனக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடியே ஏழுநாட்களுக்குப் புளிப்பில்லாத அப்பங்களைச் சாப்பிடவேண்டும். குறித்த காலமான ஆபீப் மாதத்திலே இதைச் செய்யுங்கள். ஏனெனில், அந்த மாதத்திலேயே நீங்கள் எகிப்திலிருந்து புறப்பட்டு வந்தீர்கள்.

The feast of unleavened bread shalt thou keep; seven days shalt thou eat unleavened bread, as I have commanded thee, in the time of the month of Abib; for in the month of Abib thou wentest forth out of Egypt.

19 “கர்ப்பத்திலிருந்து வரும் முதற்பேறானவைகள் எல்லாம் எனக்கே சொந்தம். உனக்குரிய கால்நடையில் உள்ள ஆட்டு மந்தையிலிருந்தோ மாட்டு மந்தையிலிருந்தோ பிறக்கும் தலையீற்றான எல்லா கடாக்களும் காளைகளும் எனக்கே உரியவை.

All that openeth the womb is mine; and every firstling that is a male among thy cattle, whether ox or lamb.

20 ஒரு செம்மறியாட்டுக் குட்டியைக் கொடுத்து கழுதையின் தலையீற்றை மீட்டுக்கொள்ள வேண்டும். அப்படி அதை மீட்காவிட்டால் அதன் கழுத்தை முறித்து விடவேண்டும். உன் மகன்களில் முதற்பேறான எல்லோரையும் மீட்டுக்கொள்ள வேண்டும். “ஒருவரும் வெறுங்கையோடு என்முன் வரக்கூடாது.

But the firstling of an ass shalt thou redeem with a lamb: and if thou redeem him not, then shalt thou break his neck; all the first-born of thy sons shalt thou redeem; and none shall appear before me empty.

21 “ஆறுநாட்கள் வேலைசெய், ஆனால் ஏழாம் நாளிலோ ஓய்ந்திருக்க வேண்டும். உழவு காலத்திலும், அறுப்புக் காலத்திலும் அப்படியே ஓய்ந்திருக்க வேண்டும்.

Six days thou mayest work, but on the seventh day shalt thou rest: even in ploughing time and in harvest shalt thou rest.

22 “கோதுமை அறுவடையின் முதற்பலன்களை கொண்டு, வாரங்களின் பண்டிகையையும், வருட முடிவில் தானிய சேர்ப்பின் பண்டிகையையும் கொண்டாடுங்கள்.

And the feast of weeks shalt thou observe, with the firstfruits of the wheat harvest; and the feast of ingathering at the closing of the year.

23 ஒரு வருடத்தில் மூன்றுமுறை உங்கள் எல்லா ஆண்களும் இஸ்ரயேலின் இறைவனான ஆண்டவராகிய யெகோவாவுக்குமுன் வரவேண்டும்.

Thrice in the year shall all thy males appear before the Lord, the Eternal, the God of Israel.

24 நான் நாடுகளை உங்களுக்கு முன்பாக வெளியே துரத்தி, உங்கள் நிலப்பரப்பை விரிவுபடுத்துவேன். ஒவ்வொரு வருடமும் மூன்றுமுறை நீங்கள் உங்கள் இறைவனாகிய யெகோவாவுக்கு முன்பாக நிற்கப் போகும்போது, ஒருவனும் உங்கள் நாட்டை அபகரிக்க ஆசைகொள்ளமாட்டான்.

For I will cast out nations before thee, and enlarge thy borders; yet shall no man desire thy land, when thou goest up to appear in the presence of the Lord thy God thrice in the year.

25 “புளிப்புள்ள எதனுடனும் ஒரு பலியின் இரத்தத்தை எனக்குச் செலுத்தவேண்டாம். பஸ்கா பண்டிகையின் பலியிலுள்ள எதையும் மறுநாள் காலைவரை வைக்கவேண்டாம்.

Thou shalt not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leaven; neither shall be left unto the morning the sacrifice of the feast of the passover.

26 “உங்கள் நிலத்திலுள்ள முதற்பலன்களில் சிறந்தவற்றையே உங்கள் இறைவனாகிய யெகோவாவின் ஆலயத்துக்குக் கொண்டுவர வேண்டும். “வெள்ளாட்டுக்குட்டியை அதன் தாயின் பாலிலே சமைக்கவேண்டாம்” என்றார்.

The first of the first-fruits of thy land shalt thou bring unto the house of the Lord thy God: thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother's milk.

27 அதன்பின் யெகோவா மோசேயிடம், “இந்த வார்த்தைகளை எழுது. ஏனெனில் இந்த வார்த்தைகளின்படியே உன்னோடும் இஸ்ரயேலரோடும் நான் உடன்படிக்கை செய்திருக்கிறேன்” என்றார்.

And the Lord said unto Moses, Write thee down these words; for after the tenor of these words have I made with thee a covenant and with Israel.

28 அங்கே மோசே இரவும் பகலும் அப்பம் சாப்பிடாமலும், தண்ணீர் குடியாமலும் நாற்பது நாட்கள் யெகோவாவோடு இருந்தான். அவர் பத்துக் கட்டளைகளான உடன்படிக்கையின் வார்த்தைகளைக் கற்பலகைகளில் எழுதினார்.

And he remained there with the Lord forty days and forty nights; bread he did not eat, and water he did not drink; and he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.

29 மோசே, சாட்சியின் பலகைகளைத் தனது கையில் வைத்துக்கொண்டு, சீனாய் மலையிலிருந்து கீழே இறங்கி வந்தான். அவன் யெகோவாவோடு பேசியதனால் அவனுடைய முகம் பிரகாசமாயிருந்தது. ஆனால் அவனோ அதை அறியாதிருந்தான்.

And it came to pass, when Moses came down from mount Sinai, with the two tables of the testimony in Moses' hand, when be came down from the mount, that Moses knew not that the skin of his face shone, because he had spoken with him.

30 ஆரோனும், இஸ்ரயேலர் எல்லோரும் மோசேயைப் பார்த்தபோது, அவனுடைய முகம் பிரகாசமாயிருந்தது. அதனால் அவர்கள் அவனுக்கு அருகில் வருவதற்குப் பயந்தார்கள்.

And Aaron and all the children of Israel saw Moses, and, behold, the skin of his face shone: and they were afraid to come nigh unto him.

31 ஆனால் மோசேயோ அவர்களை அழைத்தான். அப்பொழுது ஆரோனும், சமுதாயத்தின் எல்லா தலைவர்களும் அவனிடம் திரும்பி வந்தார்கள். அவன் அவர்களுடன் பேசினான்.

But Moses called unto them, and then returned unto him Aaron and all the princes of the congregation: and Moses spoke to them.

32 அதன்பின் இஸ்ரயேலர் எல்லோரும் அவனை நெருங்கி வந்தார்கள். யெகோவா சீனாய் மலையில் கொடுத்த கட்டளைகள் எல்லாவற்றையும் அவன் அவர்களுக்குக் கொடுத்தான்.

And afterward all the children of Israel came nigh: and he commanded them all that which the Lord had spoken with him on mount Sinai.

33 மோசே அவர்களுடன் பேசி முடிந்ததும், அவன் தன் முகத்தை முகத்திரையால் மூடிக்கொண்டான்.

And when Moses had done speaking with them, he put a vail over his face.

34 ஆனாலும் மோசே, யெகோவாவுடன் பேசும்படி அவர் முன்னிலையில் போகும்போதெல்லாம், அவன் அங்கிருந்து திரும்பி வரும்வரை முகத்திரையை நீக்கிவிடுவான். அவன் தனக்குக் கட்டளையிடப்பட்டதை வெளியே வந்து இஸ்ரயேலருக்குச் சொல்லும்போது,

But when Moses went in before the Lord to speak with him, he took the vail off, until he came out; and then he came out, and spoke unto the children of Israel that which he had been commanded.

35 இஸ்ரயேலர் அவன் முகம் பிரகாசிப்பதைக் கண்டார்கள். எனவே மோசே, தான் யெகோவாவுடன் பேசுவதற்கு உள்ளே போகும்வரை, அந்த முகத்திரையைத் திரும்பவும் தன் முகத்தின்மேல் போட்டுக்கொள்வான்.

And the children of Israel saw the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses' face shone: and Moses put the vail again over his face, until he went in to speak with him.
