எபேசியர் 2

1 நீங்களோ ஒருகாலத்தில் உங்களுடைய மீறுதல்களிலும், பாவங்களிலும் மரித்தவர்களாக இருந்தீர்கள்.

and also you, he filleth, who were dead in your sins, and in your offences,

2 அப்பொழுது நீங்கள், இந்த உலகத்தின் வழிமுறைகளைக் கைக்கொண்டு ஆகாயத்து ஆட்சியின் அதிகாரிக்கு கீழ்ப்படிந்து நடந்தீர்கள். அந்த தீய ஆவியே இப்பொழுது கீழ்ப்படியாதவர்களில் செயலாற்றுகிறது. (aiōn g165)

in the which ye before walked, according to the worldliness of this world, and according to the pleasure of the prince potentate of the air, that spirit which is active in the children of disobedience: (aiōn g165)

3 ஒருகாலத்தில் நாம் எல்லோரும் அவர்களிடையே வாழ்ந்தோம். நமது மாம்சத்திலிருந்து எழும் இச்சைகளைத் தீர்த்துக்கொள்கிறவர்களாகவும், மாம்சத்திலிருந்து எழும் ஆசைகளின்படியும் யோசனைகளின்படியும், நடக்கிறவர்களாகவும் இருந்தோம். மற்றவர்களைப் போலவே, இறைவனுடைய கோபத்துக்கு உட்பட்டவர்களாய் இருந்தோம்.

in which deeds we also, formerly, were conversant, in the cravings of our flesh; and we did the pleasure of our flesh, and of our mind, and were altogether the children of wrath, like the rest.

4 ஆனால் இரக்கத்தில் ஐசுவரியமுள்ள இறைவன், நமக்கு மிகுந்த அன்பு காண்பித்தார்.

But God who is rich in his mercies, because of the great love with which he loved us,

5 எப்படியென்றால், நாம் மீறுதல்களினால் இறந்தவர்களாய் இருந்தபோதும், நம்மை கிறிஸ்துவுடன் உயிர்ப்பித்தார். இறைவனுடைய கிருபையினாலேயே நீங்கள் இரட்சிக்கப்பட்டீர்கள்.

when we were dead in our sins, quickened us with the Messiah, and rescued us by his grace;

6 இறைவன் கிறிஸ்துவுடனேகூட நம்மை உயிருடன் எழுப்பி, கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவில் நம்மைத் தம்முடனே பரலோகத்தின் உயர்வான இடங்களில் அமரும்படி செய்தார்.

and resuscitated us with him, and seated us with him in heaven, in Jesus the Messiah:

7 இனிவரும் காலங்களிலும், கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவில் நமக்குக் காட்டிய தயவின்மூலம், இறைவனுடைய கிருபையின் அளவற்ற நிறைவை காண்பிக்கும்படியாகவே இதைச் செய்தார். (aiōn g165)

that he might show to the coming ages the magnitude of the riches of his grace, and his benignity towards us in Jesus the Messiah. (aiōn g165)

8 விசுவாசத்தின்மூலமாய், கிருபையினால் நீங்கள் இரட்சிக்கப்பட்டீர்கள். இந்த இரட்சிப்பு உங்களால் உண்டானதல்ல. இது இறைவனுடைய கொடையே ஆகும்.

For it is by his grace we are rescued, through faith; and this is not of yourselves, but it is the gift of God:

9 இந்த இரட்சிப்பு நற்செயல்களினால் வந்தது அல்ல. ஆகையால் இதைக்குறித்து ஒருவரும் பெருமைப்பாராட்ட முடியாது.

not of works, lest any one glory.

10 ஏனெனில், நாங்கள் கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவில் படைக்கப்பட்ட இறைவனின் வேலைப்பாடுகளாய் இருக்கிறோம். நல்ல செயல்களைச் செய்யும்படி, இறைவனால் முன்னதாகவே ஆயத்தம் பண்ணப்பட்டபடியே நம்மை ஏற்பாடு செய்திருக்கிறார்.

For we are his creation; who are created in Jesus the Messiah, for good works, which God hath before prepared for us to walk in.

11 ஆகையால், “விருத்தசேதனம் செய்துகொண்டிருக்கிறோம்” என்று தங்களை அழைத்துக்கொண்டவர்கள், பிறப்பினால் யூதரல்லாதவர்களாய் இருந்த உங்களை, “விருத்தசேதனம் பெறாதவர்கள்” என்று உங்களை அழைத்தார்கள் என்பதை நீங்கள் நினைவில்கொள்ளுங்கள். இந்த விருத்தசேதனம், மனிதரின் கைகளால் உடலில் செய்யப்பட்டது.

Wherefore be mindful, that ye formerly were carnal Gentiles; and ye were called the uncircumcision, by that which is called the circumcision, and which is the work of the hands in the flesh.

12 அக்காலத்தில் நீங்கள் எப்படிப்பட்டவர்களாய் இருந்தீர்கள் என்பதை நினைத்துக்கொள்ளுங்கள். அப்பொழுது நீங்கள் கிறிஸ்துவிலிருந்து புறம்பானவர்களாய், இறைவனின் சுதந்தரமாகிய இஸ்ரயேலுக்கு உட்படாதவர்களாகவும், வாக்குக்கொடுக்கப்பட்ட உடன்படிக்கையின் வாக்குத்தத்தங்களை அறியாதவர்களாகவும் இருந்தீர்கள். நீங்கள் எதிர்பார்ப்பு இல்லாதவர்களாகவும், இறைவன் இல்லாதவர்களாகவுமே இந்த உலகத்தில் வாழ்ந்தீர்கள்.

And ye were, at that time, without the Messiah; and were aliens from the regulations of Israel; and strangers to the covenant of the promise; and were without hope, and without God, in the world.

13 ஆனால் முன்பு ஒருகாலத்தில் தூரமாய் இருந்த நீங்கள், இப்பொழுதோ கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவில், கிறிஸ்துவின் இரத்தத்தினாலே இறைவனுக்கு சமீபமாயிருக்கிறீர்கள்.

But now, by Jesus the Messiah, ye who before were afar off, have been brought near by the blood of the Messiah.

14 கிறிஸ்துவே நமது சமாதானத்தின் வழியானார். அவரே இருபிரிவினரையும் ஒன்றாக்கி, தடையாயிருந்த பகைமைச் சுவரை தமது உடலின் மூலமாக அழித்தார்.

For he is himself our peace, who hath made the two become one, and hath demolished the wall which stood in the midst, and the enmity, by his flesh;

15 கிறிஸ்து தமது உடலினால் மோசேயின் சட்டத்தை, அதின் கட்டளைகளோடும் விதிமுறைகளோடும் நீக்கியதினால், இந்த இருபிரிவினரையும் தம்மில் ஒரு புதிய மனிதனாக உருவாக்கி, சமாதானத்தை ஏற்படுத்தினார்.

and by his prescriptions he hath abolished the law of ordinances; that, in himself, he might make the two to be one new man; and he hath made peace,

16 சிலுவையினால் இருபிரிவினரையும் ஒரே உடலாக இறைவனுடன் ஒப்புரவாக்குவதே அவருடைய நோக்கமாயிருந்தது. கிறிஸ்து தமது சிலுவையினால் அவர்களது பகைமையைச் சாகடித்தார்.

and hath reconciled both with God, in one body, and hath slain the enmity by his cross.

17 இவ்விதமாய் அவர் தூரமாயிருந்த உங்களுக்கும், சமீபமாய் இருந்த அவர்களுக்கும் நற்செய்தியின் சமாதானத்தைப் பிரசங்கித்தார்.

And he came, and proclaimed peace to you afar off, and to those near:

18 ஆகவே கிறிஸ்து மூலமாக நாங்கள் இரு பிரிவினரும் ஒரே ஆவியானவரினால் பிதாவின் முன்னிலையில் வரக்கூடியவர்களாய் இருக்கிறோம்.

because, by him there is access for us both, by one Spirit, unto the Father.

19 ஆகையால் யூதரல்லாதவர்களாகிய நீங்கள் இனிமேலும் அந்நியரும் அறியாதவரும் அல்ல, இப்பொழுது நீங்களும் இறைவனுடைய மக்களுடன் குடியுரிமை பெற்றவர்களாயும், இறைவனுடைய குடும்பத்தின் அங்கத்தினர்களாயும் இருக்கிறீர்கள்.

Wherefore, ye are not strangers, nor sojourners, but ye are fellow-citizens with the saints, and of the household of God.

20 நீங்களும் அப்போஸ்தலர், இறைவாக்கினர் ஆகியோரை அஸ்திபாரமாயும், கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவையே மூலைக்கல்லாயும் கொண்டு கட்டப்பட்டிருக்கிறீர்கள்.

And ye are built upon the foundations of the legates and the prophets; and Jesus the Messiah hath become the head of the corner in the edifice.

21 கிறிஸ்துவிலேயே அந்த முழுக்கட்டிடமும் ஒன்றாய் இணைக்கப்பட்டு, கர்த்தரில் ஒரு பரிசுத்த ஆலயமாக இருக்கும்படி வளர்ச்சி பெறுகிறது.

And in him all the edifice is framed together, and groweth into a holy temple in the Lord;

22 நீங்களும்கூட கிறிஸ்துவில், இறைவன் தமது ஆவியானவரினால் குடியிருக்கும் இடமாக சேர்த்துக் கட்டப்படுகிறீர்கள்.

while ye also are builded in him, for a habitation of God through the Spirit.
