உபாகமம் 33

1 இறைவனின் மனிதனாகிய மோசே தான் இறப்பதற்குமுன் இஸ்ரயேல் மக்கள்மேல் கூறிய ஆசீர்வாதம் இதுவே.

This is the blessing, wherewith the man of God Moses blessed the children of Israel, before his death.

2 அவன் சொல்லியதாவது: “யெகோவா சீனாயிலிருந்து வந்து, சேயீரிலிருந்து அவர்கள்மேல் உதித்தார். பாரான் மலையிலிருந்து அவர் பிரகாசித்தார். ஆயிரக்கணக்கான பரிசுத்தவான்களுடன் தெற்கிலிருந்தும், மலைச்சரிவுகளிலிருந்தும் வந்தார்.

And he said: The Lord came from Sinai, and from Seir he rose up to us: he hath appeared from mount Pharan, and with him thousands of saints. In his right hand a fiery law.

3 நிச்சயமாக நீரே மக்களில் அன்பு செலுத்துகிறீர். எல்லா பரிசுத்தவான்களும் உமது கரத்திலே இருக்கிறார்கள். அவர்கள் உம்முடைய பாதங்களில் விழுந்து வணங்குகிறார்கள். உம்மிடமிருந்து அறிவுறுத்தலை பெற்றுக்கொள்கிறார்கள்.

He hath loved the people, all the saints are in his hand: and they that approach to his feet, shall receive of his doctrine.

4 மோசே எங்களுக்குக் கொடுத்த சட்டமே அந்த அறிவுறுத்தல். அது யாக்கோபின் சபையாருக்கு உடைமையாய் இருக்கிறது.

Moses commanded us a law, the inheritance of the multitude of Jacob.

5 இஸ்ரயேலின் கோத்திரங்களுடன். மக்களின் தலைவர்கள் ஒன்றாய் கூடியபோது, யெஷூரன்மேல் யெகோவாவே அரசனாய் இருந்தார்.

He shall be king with the most right, the princes of the people being assembled with the tribes of Israel.

6 “ரூபன் வாழட்டும்; அவன் சாகக்கூடாது, அவனுடைய மனிதர் குறையாமல் இருக்கட்டும்.”

Let Ruben live, and not die, and be he small in number.

7 அவன் யூதாவைப்பற்றிச் சொன்னதாவது: “யெகோவாவே, யூதாவின் கதறுதலைக் கேளும்; அவனை அவனுடைய மக்களிடம் கொண்டுவாரும். அவன் தன் சொந்தக் கரங்களால் அவனுடைய உரிமைகளுக்காகப் போராடுகிறான். அவனுடைய பகைவருக்கு எதிராக அவனுக்குத் துணையாய் இரும்.”

This is the blessing of Juda. Hear, O Lord, the voice of Juda, and bring him in unto his people: his hands shall fight for him, and he shall be his helper against his enemies.

8 லேவியைப்பற்றி அவன் சொன்னதாவது: “நீர் தயவுகாட்டிய மனிதனுக்கே உமது தும்மீம், ஊரீம் உரியவை. நீர் மாசாவில் அவனைத் சோதித்தீர். மேரிபாவின் தண்ணீர் அருகே அவனுடன் வாக்குவாதம் பண்ணினீர்.

To Levi also he said: Thy perfection, and thy doctrine be to thy holy man, whom thou hast proved in the temptation, and judged at the waters of contradiction:

9 அவன் தன் தகப்பனையும், தாயையும்பற்றி, ‘நான் அவர்களைக் கவனத்தில் கொள்ளமாட்டேன்’ என்றான். அவன் தன் சகோதரர்களை அங்கீகரிக்கவில்லை. தன் பிள்ளைகளையும் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளவில்லை. ஆனால் அவன் உம்முடைய வார்த்தையைக் கண்காணித்து, உம்முடைய உடன்படிக்கையைக் காவல்செய்தான்.

Who hath said to his father, and to his mother: I do not know you; and to his brethren: I know you not: and their own children they have not known. These have kept thy word, and observed thy covenant,

10 அவன் உமது ஒழுங்குவிதிகளை யாக்கோபுக்கும், உமது சட்டத்தை இஸ்ரயேலுக்கும் போதிக்கிறான். உமது முன்னிலையில் தூபங்காட்டுகிறான். உமது பலிபீடத்தில் முழுமையான தகன காணிக்கையைச் செலுத்துகிறான்.

Thy judgments, O Jacob, and thy law, O Israel: they shall put incense in thy wrath and holocaust upon thy altar.

11 யெகோவாவே, அவனுடைய திறமைகளை ஆசீர்வதியும். அவனுடைய கைகளின் வேலையில் பிரியமாயிரும். அவனுக்கு எதிரே எழும்புவோரின் இடுப்புகளை அடித்து நொறுக்கும். அவனுடைய பகைவர்கள் இனி ஒருபோதும் எழும்பாதபடி அவர்களை அடியும்.”

Bless, O Lord, his strength, and receive the works of his hands. Strike the backs of his enemies, and let not them that hate him rise.

12 பென்யமீனைப்பற்றி அவன் சொன்னது: “யெகோவாவினால் அன்புகூரப்பட்டவன் அவரில் பாதுகாப்பாய் இளைப்பாறட்டும். ஏனெனில் அவர் அவனை நாள்முழுவதும் பாதுகாக்கிறார். யெகோவா அன்புகூரும் அவன் அவருடைய தோள்களுக்கிடையில் இளைப்பாறுகிறான்.”

And to Benjamin he said: The best beloved of the Lord shall dwell confidently in him: as in a bride chamber shall he abide all the day long, and between his shoulders shall be rest.

13 யோசேப்பைப்பற்றி அவன் சொன்னது: “யெகோவா அவனுடைய நாட்டை, மேலே வானத்திலிருந்து வரும் பனியினாலும், கீழே பூமியின் ஆழத்திலிருந்துவரும் தண்ணீர்களாலும் ஆசீர்வதிப்பாராக.

To Joseph also he said: Of the blessing of the Lord be his land, of the fruits of heaven, and of the dew, and of the deep that lieth beneath.

14 சூரியன் விளைவிக்கும் சிறந்த விளைச்சலினாலும், சந்திரன் விளைவிக்கும் அருமையான பொருட்களாலும் ஆசீர்வதிப்பாராக.

Of the fruits brought forth by the sun and by the moon.

15 பூர்வகால மலைகளின் மிகச்சிறந்த கொடைகளாலும், அழியாத குன்றுகளின் செழிப்பினாலும் ஆசீர்வதிப்பாராக.

Of the tops of the ancient mountains, of the fruits of the everlasting hills:

16 பூமியின் மிகச்சிறந்த கொடைகளினாலும், நிறைவினாலும் ஆசீர்வதிப்பாராக. எரிகின்ற புதரில் வாழ்ந்தவரின் தயவினாலும் ஆசீர்வதிப்பாராக. இவை எல்லாம் யோசேப்பின் தலையின்மேல் தங்கட்டும். தனது சகோதரருள் இளவரசனாயிருந்தவனின் உச்சந்தலையிலும் தங்குவதாக.

And of the fruits of the earth, and of the fulness thereof. The blessing of him that appeared in the bush, come upon the head of Joseph, and upon the crown of the Nazarite among his brethren.

17 மாட்சிமையில் அவன் தலையீற்று காளைபோல் இருக்கிறான். அவன் கொம்புகளோ காட்டு எருதின் கொம்புகள்போல் இருக்கின்றன. அவற்றால் நாடுகளைக் குத்திக் கிழிப்பான். பூமியின் கடையாந்தரங்களில் இருப்பவர்களைக்கூட குத்திக் கிழிப்பான். எப்பிராயீமின் பத்தாயிரம்பேரும் இப்படிப்பட்டவர்களே. மனாசேயின் ஆயிரம்பேரும் இப்படிப்பட்டவர்களே.”

His beauty as of the firstling of a bullock, his horns as the horns of a rhinoceros: with them shall he push the nations even to the ends of the earth These are the multitudes of Ephraim and these the thousands of Manasses.

18 செபுலோனைப்பற்றி அவன் சொன்னதாவது: “செபுலோனே நீ வெளியே போகையில் களிகூரு. இசக்காரே நீ கூடாரங்களிலிருந்து களிகூரு.

And to Zabulon he said: Rejoice, O Zabulon, in thy going out; and Issachar in thy tabernacles.

19 அவர்கள் மக்களை மலைக்கு அழைப்பிப்பார்கள். அங்கே நீதியின் பலிகளைச் செலுத்துவார்கள். அவர்கள் கடல்களின் நிறை வளங்களிலும், மண்ணுள் மறைந்திருக்கும் செல்வங்களிலும் விருந்து உண்பார்கள்.”

They shall call the people to the mountain: there shall they sacrifice the victims of justice. Who shall suck as milk the abundance of the sea, and the hidden treasures of the sands.

20 காத்தியரைப்பற்றி அவன் சொன்னதாவது: “காத்தியரின் ஆளுகைகளை விரிவுபடுத்துபவன் ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்பட்டவன். காத் சிங்கத்தைப்போல் படுத்திருப்பான். அவன், புயத்தையும் தலையையும் கிழிக்கும் சிங்கத்தைப்போல் படுத்திருப்பான்.

And to Gad he said: Blessed be Gad in his breadth: he hath rested as a lion, and hath seized upon the arm and the top of the head.

21 அவன் சிறந்த நிலத்தை தனக்கென்று தெரிந்துகொண்டான். தலைவருக்கான பங்கு அவனுக்காக ஒதுக்கப்பட்டிருந்தது. மக்களின் தலைவர்கள் ஒன்றுகூடியபோது, அவன் யெகோவாவின் நீதியையும், இஸ்ரயேலருக்கான யெகோவாவின் நியாயத்தீர்ப்புகளையும் நிறைவேற்றினான்.”

And he saw his pre-eminence, that in his portion the teacher was laid up: who was with the princes of the people, and did the justices of the Lord, and his judgment with Israel.

22 தாணைப்பற்றி அவன் சொன்னதாவது: “தாண் பாசானிலிருந்து, பாய்கிற சிங்கக்குட்டி.”

To Dan also he said: Dan is a young lion, he shall flow plentifully from Basan.

23 நப்தலியைப்பற்றி அவன் சொன்னதாவது: “நப்தலி யெகோவாவின் தயவில் பெருகி அவரின் ஆசீர்வாதத்தால் நிறைந்திருக்கிறான். அவன் கலிலேயா கடலின் தெற்குப் பக்கமாக உள்ள பகுதியை உரிமையாக்கிக்கொள்வான்.”

And to Nephtali he said: Nephtali shall enjoy abundance, and shall be full of the blessings of the Lord: he shall possess the sea and the south.

24 ஆசேரைப்பற்றி அவன் சொன்னதாவது: “ஆசேர் மகன்களுக்குள் அதிகமாய் ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்பட்டவன். சகோதரரிடமிருந்து அவனுக்கு ஆதரவு கிடைக்கும். அவன் தன் பாதங்களை எண்ணெயில் குளிப்பாட்டட்டும்.

To Aser also he said: Let Aser be blessed with children, let him be acceptable to his brethren, and let him dip his foot in oil.

25 உன் வாயிற்கதவுகளின் தாழ்ப்பாள்கள் இரும்பும் வெண்கலமுமாய் இருக்கும். நீ வாழும் காலமெல்லாம் உன் பெலனும் நீடித்திருக்கும்.

His shoe shall be iron and brass. As the days of thy youth, so also shall thy old age be.

26 “யெஷூரனின் இறைவனைப்போல் வேறொருவரும் இல்லை. அவர் உனக்கு உதவிசெய்ய வானங்களிலும், அவருடைய மகத்துவத்துடன் மேகங்களிலும் ஏறிவருவார்.

There is no other God like the God of the rightest: he that is mounted upon the heaven is thy helper. By his magnificence the clouds run hither and thither.

27 என்றும் வாழ்கிற இறைவன் உன் அடைக்கலம். அவரின் நித்திய புயங்கள் உன்னைத் தாங்கும். அவர், ‘பகைவனை அழித்துவிடு!’ என்று சொல்லி, உன் பகைவனை உனக்கு முன்பாகத் துரத்திவிடுவார்.

His dwelling is above, and underneath are the everlasting arms: he shall cast out the enemy from before thee, and shall say: Be thou brought to nought.

28 இஸ்ரயேல் தனிமையாய் பாதுகாப்புடன் வாழும். தானியமும், புது திராட்சை இரசமும் உள்ள நாட்டில், யாக்கோபின் நீரூற்று பாதுகாப்பாய் இருக்கிறது. அங்கே வானம் பனியைப் பெய்கின்றது.

Israel shall dwell in safety, and alone. The eye of Jacob in a land of corn and wine, and the heavens shall be misty with dew.

29 இஸ்ரயேலேரே, நீங்கள் ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்பட்டவர்கள்! யெகோவாவினால் மீட்கப்பட்ட மக்களான உங்களைப்போல் வேறு யார் இருக்கிறார்கள்? அவரே உங்கள் கேடயமும், உங்களுக்கு உதவி செய்பவருமாயிருக்கிறார். அவரே உங்களது மகிமையான வாளுமாயிருக்கிறார். உங்களது பகைவர் உங்களுக்கு முன்பாக அஞ்சி ஒதுங்குவார்கள். நீங்கள் அவர்களின் தொழுகைமேடுகளை மிதிப்பீர்கள்.”

Blessed are thou, Israel: who is like to thee, O people, that art saved by the Lord? the shield of thy help, and the sword of thy glory: thy enemies shall deny thee, and thou shalt tread upon their necks.
