உபாகமம் 22
1 உங்கள் அயலானுடைய எருதோ, செம்மறியாடோ வழிதவறிப்போவதைக் கண்டால், காணாததுபோல் இருக்கவேண்டாம். அதை உரியவனிடத்தில் கொண்டுபோய்விட நீங்கள் கவனமாயிருங்கள்.
Thou shalt not see thy brother's ox or his lamb go astray, and withdraw thyself from them: thou shalt surely bring them back again unto thy brother.
2 அந்த அயலவன் உங்களுக்கு அருகில் குடியிராவிட்டாலோ, அவன் யார் என்று உங்களுக்குத் தெரியாவிட்டாலோ அவன் அதைத் தேடிவரும்வரை அதை உங்கள் வீட்டில் கொண்டுபோய் வைத்திருந்து, அவனிடம் திருப்பிக்கொடுங்கள்.
But if thy brother be not nigh unto thee, or thou know him not: then shalt thou take it unto thy own house, and it shall remain with thee until thy brother inquire after it, and then shalt thou restore it to him.
3 உங்கள் அயலான் தனது கழுதையையோ, மேலங்கியையோ அல்லது வேறு பொருளையோ தொலைத்திருக்க நீங்கள் அதைக் கண்டெடுத்தால், இவ்வாறே செய்யவேண்டும். அதைத் திருப்பிக் கொடுக்காதிருக்கவேண்டாம்.
In like manner shalt thou do with his ass; and in like manner shalt thou do with his raiment; and in like manner shalt thou do with every lost thing of thy brother's, which may have been lost to him, and which thou hast found; thou art not at liberty to withdraw thyself.
4 உங்கள் அயலானுடைய கழுதையோ, மாடோ வீதியில் விழுந்து கிடப்பதைக் கண்டால், அதைக் காணாததுபோல் இருக்கவேண்டாம். அந்த மிருகத்தைத் தூக்கிவிட அவனுக்கு உதவிசெய்யுங்கள்.
Thou shalt not see thy brother's ass or his ox fallen down by the way, and withdraw thyself from them: thou shalt surely help him to lift them up again.
5 ஒரு பெண், ஆண்களின் உடையையோ ஒரு ஆண், பெண்களின் உடையையோ உடுத்தக்கூடாது. ஏனெனில், உங்கள் இறைவனாகிய யெகோவா இதைச் செய்பவர்களை அருவருக்கிறார்.
A woman shall not have upon her the apparel of a man, and a man shall not put on a woman's garment; for an abomination unto the Lord thy God are all who do this.
6 வழியருகிலாவது, மரத்திலாவது, தரையிலாவது தாய்க் குருவி ஒன்று முட்டைகளோடு அல்லது குஞ்சுகளோடு ஒரு கூட்டில் இருப்பதை நீங்கள் கண்டால், தாய்க் குருவியை குஞ்சுகளோடு எடுக்காதீர்கள்.
If a bird's nest chance to be before thee in the way, on any tree, or on the ground, with young ones, or with eggs, and the mother be sitting upon the young, or upon the eggs: thou shalt not take the mother with the young;
7 நீங்கள் குஞ்சுகளை எடுக்கலாம், ஆனால் தாய்க் குருவியை போகவிட கவனமாயிருங்கள், அப்படிச் செய்தால் நீங்கள் நலமாயிருந்து நீடித்து வாழ்வீர்கள்.
But thou shalt surely let the mother go, and the young thou mayest take to thyself; in order that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest live many days.
8 நீங்கள் புதிய வீடு கட்டும்பொழுது கூரையிலிருந்து யாரும் விழாதபடி, கூரையைச் சுற்றி சிறிய கைச்சுவரைக் கட்டுங்கள். ஏனெனில், யாரேனும் கூரையிலிருந்து விழுந்தால், நீங்கள் அந்த வீட்டின்மேல் இரத்தப்பழி சுமராதிருக்கச்செய்வீர்கள்.
When thou buildest a new house, thou shalt make a battlement for thy roof; that thou bring not blood upon thy house, if any one were to fall from there.
9 உங்கள் திராட்சைத் தோட்டத்தில் இரண்டு வகையான விதைகளை நடவேண்டாம்; அப்படிச் செய்தால் நீங்கள், நட்டவைகளின் பயிர்கள் மட்டுமல்ல திராட்சைத் தோட்டத்தின் பலனும் தீட்டுப்படும்.
Thou shalt not sow thy vineyard with divers seeds; that the ripe fruit of thy seed which thou hast sown, and the fruit of the vineyard, be not defiled.
10 மாட்டையும், கழுதையையும் ஒரே நுகத்தில் பூட்டி உழவேண்டாம்.
Thou shalt not plough with an ox and an ass together.
11 கம்பளி நூலும், மென்பட்டு நூலும் சேர்த்து நெய்யப்பட்ட துணியினாலான உடையை உடுத்தவேண்டாம்.
Thou shalt not wear a garment of divers sorts, of woolen and linen together.
12 நீங்கள் உடுத்தும் உங்கள் மேலங்கியின் நான்கு முனைகளிலும் தொங்கல்களைக் கட்டிக்கொள்ளுங்கள்.
Thou shalt make thyself fringes upon the four corners of thy vesture, wherewith thou coverest thyself.
13 ஒருவன் ஒரு மனைவியை எடுத்து, அவளுடன் உறவுகொண்டபின் அவளை வெறுத்து,
If any man take a wife, and go in unto her, and hate her,
14 “நான் அவளுடன் சேர்ந்தபொழுது அவளுடைய கன்னித்தன்மைக்கான அத்தாட்சியை அவளில் காணவில்லை” என்று சொல்லி, அவளைத் தூஷித்து, அவளுக்கு ஒரு கெட்டபெயர் வரப்பண்ணக்கூடும்.
And he lay an accusation against her, and spread abroad an evil name upon her, and say, This woman I took [for wife], and when I came near to her, I found no tokens of virginity in her:
15 அப்பொழுது அவளுடைய தகப்பனும் தாயும் அவள் கன்னித்தன்மை உடையவள் என்ற அத்தாட்சியை பட்டண வாசலில் இருக்கும் சபைத்தலைவர்களிடம் கொண்டுவர வேண்டும்.
Then shall the father of the damsel, and her mother, take and bring forth the tokens of the damsel's virginity unto the elders of the city, to the gate.
16 அவளின் தகப்பன் சபைத்தலைவர்களிடம், “என் மகளை இவனுக்குத் திருமணம் செய்துகொடுத்தேன்; அவனோ அவளை வெறுக்கிறான்.
And the father of the damsel shall say unto the elders, My daughter I gave unto this man for wife; but he hath conceived hatred toward her;
17 அவன் இப்போது அவளைத் தூஷித்து, உன்னுடைய மகளைக் கன்னியாக நான் காணவில்லை என்று சொல்கிறான். அவளது கன்னித்தன்மையின் அத்தாட்சி இங்கே இருக்கிறது” என்று சொல்லவேண்டும். பின்பு அவளுடைய பெற்றோர், பட்டணத்து சபைத்தலைவர்கள் முன்னிலையில் அந்த துணியை விரித்துக் காட்டவேண்டும்.
And, lo, he hath laid an accusation [against her], saying, I have found no tokens of virginity in thy daughter; and yet these are the tokens of my daughter's virginity; and they shall spread the cloth before the elders of the city.
18 அப்பொழுது பட்டணத்து சபைத்தலைவர்கள் அந்த மனிதனைப்பிடித்து, அவனைத் தண்டிக்கவேண்டும்.
And the elders of that city shall take that man and chastise him;
19 அவர்கள் அவனுக்கு நூறு சேக்கல் வெள்ளி அபராதம் விதித்து, அதைப் பெண்ணின் தகப்பனிடம் கொடுக்கவேண்டும். ஏனெனில் அந்த மனிதன் ஒரு இஸ்ரயேலில் கன்னிப்பெண்ணிற்கு கெட்டபெயரை உண்டாக்கியிருக்கிறான். அவள் தொடர்ந்து அவன் மனைவியாக இருக்கவேண்டும். அவன் வாழ்நாள் முழுவதும் அவளை விவாகரத்துசெய்தல் கூடாது.
And they shall amerce him in a hundred shekels of silver, and give them unto the father of the damsel; because he hath spread abroad an evil name upon a virgin of Israel; and she shall remain his wife; he shall not be at liberty to put her away all his days.
20 ஆனாலும் அக்குற்றச்சாட்டு உண்மையாயிருந்து, அவளின் கன்னித்தன்மைக்கான அத்தாட்சி காட்டப்படாதிருந்தால்,
But if this thing was true, there have not been found tokens of virginity in the damsel:
21 அந்தப் பெண்ணை அவள் தகப்பன் வீட்டு வாசலில் கொண்டுவர வேண்டும். அப்பொழுது அந்த பட்டணத்தில் உள்ள ஆண்கள் அவள்மேல் கல்லெறிந்து அவளைக் கொல்லவேண்டும். ஏனெனில் தன் தகப்பன் வீட்டில் அவள் இருக்கும்போது, அவள் மானக்கேடாக நடந்து, இஸ்ரயேலில் ஒரு இழிவான செயலைச் செய்திருக்கிறாள். இப்படியாக உங்கள் மத்தியிலுள்ள தீமையை அகற்றவேண்டும்.
Then shall they lead out the damsel to the door of her father's house, and the men of her city shall stone her with stones that she die; because she hath wrought a disgraceful deed in Israel, to commit incest in her father's house; and thou shalt put away the evil from the midst of thee.
22 ஒருவன் வேறு ஒருவனின் மனைவியுடன் உறவுகொண்டது கண்டுபிடிக்கப்பட்டால், அவளுடன் உறவுகொண்ட மனிதனும், அந்த பெண்ணுமாகிய இருவருமே சாகவேண்டும். இப்படியாக இஸ்ரயேலின் மத்தியிலுள்ள தீமையை அகற்றவேண்டும்.
If a man be found lying with a woman married to a husband: then shall both of them die, the man that lieth with the woman, and the woman; and thou shalt put away the evil from Israel.
23 ஒரு கன்னிப்பெண்ணை ஒருவனுக்கென்று நியமித்தபின், வேறொருவன் பட்டணத்தில் அவளைக் கண்டு, அவளுடன் உறவுகொண்டால்,
If a damsel that is a virgin be betrothed unto a man, and a man find her in the city, and lie with her:
24 நீங்கள் அவர்கள் இருவரையும் பட்டணத்து வாசலுக்குக் கொண்டுவந்து, அவர்கள்மேல் கல்லெறிந்து அவர்களைக் கொல்லவேண்டும். ஏனெனில், அவள் பட்டணத்திலிருந்தும் உதவிக்காகக் கூக்குரலிடாதபடியால் அவளையும், அவன் வேறொருவனது மனைவியை மானபங்கப்படுத்தினபடியால் அவனையும் கொல்லவேண்டும். இப்படியாக உங்கள் மத்தியிலுள்ள தீமையை அகற்றவேண்டும்.
Then shall ye lead them both out unto the gate of that city, and ye shall stone them with stones that they die; the damsel, because she cried not [for aid] in the city; and the man, because he hath done violence to his neighbor's wife; and thou shalt put away the evil from the midst of thee.
25 ஆனால் வேறொருவனுக்கு திருமண நிச்சயதார்த்தம் செய்த ஒரு பெண்ணை நாட்டுப்புறத்தில் கண்டு, ஒருவன் அவளைக் கற்பழித்தால், அதைச் செய்த அம்மனிதன் மட்டுமே சாகவேண்டும்.
But if in the field the man should find the betrothed damsel, and the man take hold of her by force, and lie with her: then shall the man that lay with her die alone;
26 அவளுக்கு ஒன்றும் செய்யவேண்டாம். அவள் மரணத்துக்குரிய பாவம் ஒன்றையும் செய்யவில்லை. இந்த செயல் ஒருவன் தன் அயலானைத் தாக்கிக் கொலைசெய்தது போன்றதாகும்,
But unto the damsel shalt thou not do any thing; there is in the damsel no sin worthy of death; for as when a man riseth against his neighbor, and striketh him dead. even so is this matter;
27 அவன் அவளை புறம்பான ஒரு தனி இடத்திலே கண்டு அதைச் செய்தான். விவாக நிச்சயதார்த்தம் செய்யப்பட்ட அப்பெண் கூக்குரலிட்டிருந்தும் அவளைக் காப்பாற்ற ஒருவரும் இருக்கவில்லை.
For in the field did he find her; had the betrothed damsel even cried, there would have been none to aid her.
28 ஆனால் திருமணம் நிச்சயிக்கப்படாத ஒரு கன்னிப்பெண்ணை ஒருவன் வெளியிலே கண்டு, அவளைக் கற்பழித்தது, கண்டுபிடிக்கப்பட்டால்,
If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, who is not betrothed, and lay fast hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found:
29 அவன் அவளுடைய தகப்பனுக்கு ஐம்பது சேக்கல் வெள்ளியைக் கொடுக்கவேண்டும். அவன் அவளை பலாத்காரமாய் கற்பழித்தபடியால், அவளைத் திருமணம் செய்யவேண்டும். அவன் தன் வாழ்நாள் முழுவதும் ஒருபோதும் அவளை விவாகரத்து செய்யமுடியாது.
Then shall the man who lieth with her give unto the father of the damsel fifty shekels of silver; and she shall become his wife, because he hath done violence to her, he shall not be at liberty to put her away all his days.
30 ஒருவன் தன் தகப்பனின் மனைவியை திருமணம் செய்யக்கூடாது; அவன் தன் தகப்பனை அவமதிக்கக்கூடாது.
A man shall not take his lather's wife, and he shall not uncover his father's skirt.
