அப்போஸ்தலர் 5
1 அனனியா என்னும் பெயருடைய ஒருவன், தனது மனைவி சப்பீராளுடன் சேர்ந்து, ஒரு சிறு நிலத்தை விற்றான்.
And a certain man whose name was Ananias, with his wife whose name was Sapphira, sold his field,
2 விற்ற பணத்தில் ஒரு பகுதியைத் தனது மனைவி அறியத் தனக்கென வைத்துக்கொண்டு, மறு பகுதியைக் கொண்டுவந்து முழுவதையும் கொடுப்பதுபோல, அப்போஸ்தலரின் பாதத்தில் வைத்தான்.
and carried away part of the price and concealed it, his wife consenting; and he brought a part of the money, and laid it before the feet of the legates.
3 அப்பொழுது பேதுரு அவனிடம், “அனனியாவே, பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவரிடம் பொய் சொல்லும்படி, சாத்தான் உனது இருதயத்தை நிரப்பியது எப்படி? நிலத்தை விற்றுப் பெற்றுக்கொண்ட பணத்தில் ஒரு பகுதியை நீ உனக்கென வைத்துக்கொண்டாயே.
And Simon said to him: Ananias, why hath Satan so filled thy heart, that thou shouldst lie against the Holy Spirit, and conceal of the money of the price of the field?
4 அதை விற்குமுன்பு அது உனக்குச் சொந்தமாக இருக்கவில்லையோ? அது விற்கப்பட்ட பின்பும், அந்தப் பணம் உன்னிடம் இருக்கவில்லையோ? இப்படிப்பட்ட ஒரு செயலைச் செய்ய நீ ஏன் நினைத்தாய்? நீ மனிதரிடம் பொய் சொல்லவில்லை, இறைவனிடமே பொய் சொன்னாய்” என்றான்.
Was it not thine own before it was sold? And when sold, again thou hadst authority over the price of it. Why hast thou set thy heart to do this purpose? Thou hast not lied against men, but against God.
5 அனனியா இதைக் கேட்டபோது, அவன் கீழே விழுந்து இறந்துப்போனான். நடந்ததைக் கேள்விப்பட்ட எல்லோருக்கும் மிகவும் பயமுண்டாயிற்று.
And when Ananias heard these words, he fell down, and died. And great fear was upon all them that heard of it.
6 அப்பொழுது இளைஞர் முன்வந்து, அவனது உடலைத் துணியில் சுற்றி, தூக்கிக்கொண்டுபோய் அடக்கம் செய்தார்கள்.
And the young men among them arose, and gathered him up, and carried him out, and buried him.
7 கிட்டத்தட்ட மூன்றுமணி நேரத்திற்குப்பின், நடந்தது என்ன என்று அறியாமல், அவனுடைய மனைவி உள்ளே வந்தாள்.
And when three hours had passed, his wife also came in, without knowing what had occurred.
8 பேதுரு அவளிடம், “நிலத்தை விற்று நீயும் அனனியாவும் பெற்றுக்கொண்ட பணம் இவ்வளவுதானா?” என்று கேட்டான். அதற்கு அவள், “ஆம், இவ்வளவுதான் அதன் விலை” என்றாள்.
Simon said to her: Tell me, if ye sold the field for this price? And she said: Yes, for this price.
9 அப்பொழுது பேதுரு அவளிடம், “கர்த்தருடைய ஆவியானவரைச் சோதிப்பதற்கு எப்படி நீயும் உடன்பட்டாய்? இதோ, உனது கணவனை அடக்கம் செய்தவர்கள் வாசற்படியிலே நிற்கின்றனர். அவர்கள் உன்னையும் சுமந்துகொண்டு போவார்கள்” என்றான்.
Simon said to her: Since ye have been equals in tempting the Spirit of the Lord, lo, the feet of the buriers of thy husband are at the door, and they will carry thee out.
10 அந்த வினாடியே அவளும் பேதுருவின் பாதத்தில் விழுந்து செத்துப்போனாள். அப்பொழுது அந்த இளைஞர் உள்ளே வந்து, அவள் இறந்துகிடப்பதைக் கண்டு, அவளையும் வெளியே தூக்கிக்கொண்டுபோய் அவளது கணவனுக்குப் பக்கத்தில் அடக்கம் செய்தார்கள்.
And immediately she fell before their feet, and died. And those young men came in, and found her dead; and they took up, carried forth, and buried her by the side of her husband.
11 திருச்சபையோருக்கும் இந்த விஷயத்தைக் கேள்விப்பட்டவர்கள் எல்லோருக்கும் மிகவும் பயம் ஏற்பட்டது.
And great fear was on all the assembly, and on all them that heard it.
12 அப்போஸ்தலர் அநேக அற்புத அடையாளங்களையும், அதிசயங்களையும் மக்களிடையே செய்தார்கள். விசுவாசிகள் அனைவரும் சாலொமோனுடைய மண்டபத்தில் கூட்டம் கூடுவது வழக்கமாயிருந்தது.
And there were many signs and prodigies wrought by the legates among the people. And they were all assembled together in the porch of Solomon.
13 மக்கள் அவர்களை உயர்வாய் மதித்தபோதிலும், வேறு யாரும் அவர்களோடு சேரத் துணியவில்லை.
And of the others, no one ventured to come near them; but the people magnified them.
14 ஆனால் அதிகமதிகமாய் ஆண்களும் பெண்களும் கர்த்தர்மேல் விசுவாசம் வைத்து, அவர்களின் எண்ணிக்கையுடன் சேர்த்துக்கொள்ளப்பட்டார்கள்.
And the more were those added who feared the Lord, a multitude both of men and of women.
15 அதன் பலனாக, மக்கள் தங்களுள் வியாதிப்பட்டிருந்தவர்களை வீதிகளுக்குக் கொண்டுவந்து, அவர்களைக் கட்டில்கள்மேலும் பாய்கள்மேலும் கிடத்தினார்கள். பேதுரு நடந்துபோகையில், அவனுடைய நிழலாகிலும் படும்படிக்கே இப்படிச் செய்தார்கள்.
So that they brought out into the streets the sick, laid on beds, that when Simon should pass, at least his shadow might cover them.
16 எருசலேமைச் சுற்றியிருந்த பட்டணங்களிலிருந்துங்கூட, மக்கள் பெருங்கூட்டமாய் வந்தார்கள். அவர்கள் தங்களில் வியாதிப்பட்டவர்களையும் தீய ஆவியினால் துன்புறுத்தப்பட்டவர்களையும் கொண்டுவந்தார்கள்; அவர்கள் அனைவரும் சுகமடைந்தார்கள்.
And many came to them from other cities around Jerusalem, bringing the sick and those who had unclean spirits; and they were all cured.
17 அப்பொழுது பிரதான ஆசாரியனும், சதுசேயர் குழுவைச் சேர்ந்த அவனுடைய கூட்டாளிகள் அனைவரும் பொறாமையால் நிறைந்து,
And the high priest was filled with indignation, and all those with him who were of the doctrine of the Sadducees.
18 அப்போஸ்தலரைக் கைதுசெய்து, பொதுச் சிறைச்சாலையில் அடைத்தார்கள்.
And they laid hands on the legates, and took and bound them in prison.
19 ஆனால் அந்த இரவில், கர்த்தருடைய தூதன் அந்தச் சிறைச்சாலையின் கதவுகளைத் திறந்து, அவர்களை வெளியே கொண்டுவந்தான்.
Then the angel of the Lord, by night, opened the door of the prison, and let them out; and said to them:
20 அவன் அவர்களிடம், “நீங்கள் போய் ஆலய முற்றத்தில் நின்று, இந்த ஜீவ வார்த்தைகள் எல்லாவற்றையும் மக்களுக்குச் சொல்லுங்கள்” என்றான்.
Go, stand in the temple, and speak to the people all these words of life.
21 அதிகாலையிலேயே, அவர்கள் தங்களுக்குச் சொல்லப்பட்டபடியே, ஆலய முற்றத்திற்குள் போய் மக்களுக்குப் போதிக்கத் தொடங்கினார்கள். பிரதான ஆசாரியனும் அவனுடன் இருந்தவர்களும் அங்கே வந்து சேர்ந்தபோது, அவர்கள் ஆலோசனைச் சங்கத்தை, அதாவது இஸ்ரயேல் மக்களின் எல்லா யூதரின் தலைவர்களையும் ஒன்றுகூட்டி, சிறையிலிருந்து அப்போஸ்தலரைக் கொண்டுவரும்படி ஆட்களை அனுப்பினார்கள்.
And in the morning, they went and entered into the temple, and taught. And the high priest and those with him, convoked their associates and the Elders of Israel, and sent to the prison to bring forth the legates.
22 ஆனால் ஆலயக்காவலர் அங்கே போனபோது, சிறைச்சாலையில் அப்போஸ்தலரைக் காணவில்லை. எனவே, அவர்கள் திரும்பிவந்து அதை அறிவித்தார்கள்.
And when those sent by them went, they found them not in the prison; and they returned and came back,
23 திரும்பி வந்தவர்கள் அவர்களிடம், “சிறைச்சாலை பாதுகாப்பாகப் பூட்டப்பட்டிருப்பதையும் சிறைக்காவலர் வாசல்களில் நின்று கொண்டிருப்பதையும் நாங்கள் கண்டோம். ஆனால் சிறைச்சாலைக் கதவுகளை நாங்கள் திறந்தபோது, உள்ளே நாங்கள் ஒருவரையும் காணவில்லை” என்றார்கள்.
and said: We found the prison carefully closed, and also the keepers standing before the doors; and we opened, but found no one there.
24 ஆலயக்காவலர் தலைவனும் தலைமை ஆசாரியர்களும் இந்த செய்தியைக் கேட்டபோது, அதனால் என்ன நடக்கப்போகிறதோ என நினைத்து, மனக்குழப்பமடைந்தார்கள்.
And when the chief priests and rulers of the temple heard these words, they were astonished at them; and they studied what this could mean.
25 அப்பொழுது ஒருவன் வந்து, “இதோ, நீங்கள் சிறையில் அடைத்தவர்கள் ஆலய முற்றத்தில் நின்று மக்களுக்குப் போதிக்கிறார்கள்” என்று அறிவித்தான்.
And one came and informed them: Those men, whom ye shut up in the prison, lo, they are standing in the temple, and teaching the people.
26 அப்பொழுது, ஆலயக்காவலர் தலைவன் தனது ஆலயக்காவலருடன் போய், அப்போஸ்தலர்களைக் கொண்டுவந்தான். ஆனால், அவர்கள்மேல் வன்முறையைக் கையாளவில்லை. ஏனெனில் மக்கள் தங்கள்மேல் கல்லெறிவார்கள் என்று பயந்திருந்தார்கள்.
Then went the rulers with attendants, to bring them without violence; for they feared, lest the people should stone them.
27 அவர்கள் அப்போஸ்தலர்களைக் கொண்டுவந்து, ஆலோசனைச் சங்கத்தின் முன்நிறுத்தினார்கள். பிரதான ஆசாரியன் கேள்விகளைக் கேட்டான்.
And when they had brought them, they placed them before the whole council; and the high priest began to say to them:
28 அவன் அவர்களிடம், “இந்தப் பெயரால் நீங்கள் போதிக்கக் கூடாது என்று நாங்கள் உங்களுக்குக் கடுமையாக உத்தரவிட்டிருந்தோம். ஆனால் நீங்கள் உங்கள் போதனையினாலே எருசலேமை நிரப்பிவிட்டீர்கள். அந்த மனிதனைக் கொன்ற இரத்தப்பழியை எங்கள்மேல் சுமத்தவே நீங்கள் உறுதிகொண்டிருக்கிறீர்கள்” என்றான்.
Did we not strictly charge you, to teach no person in this name? And behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine; and ye would bring the blood of this man upon us.
29 ஆனால், பேதுருவும் மற்ற அப்போஸ்தலரும் அவர்களிடம்: “மனிதனைவிட நாங்கள் இறைவனுக்கே கீழ்ப்படிய வேண்டும்!
And Simon, with the legates, answered and said to them: God is to be obeyed, rather than men.
30 நீங்கள் மரத்தில் தொங்கவிட்டுக் கொலைசெய்த இயேசுவை, நம்முடைய தந்தையரின் இறைவன் மரித்தோரிலிருந்து எழும்பச்செய்தார்.
The God of our fathers hath raised up that Jesus, whom ye slew when ye hanged him on a tree.
31 இறைவனோ இயேசுவை அதிபதியாகவும், இரட்சகராகவும், தனது வலதுபக்கத்தில் இருக்கும்படி உயர்த்தி, இவர் இஸ்ரயேலுக்கு மனந்திரும்புதலையும், பாவங்களுக்கான மன்னிப்பையும் கொடுக்கும்படி செய்தார்.
Him hath God established as a head and vivifier; and hath exalted him to his own right hand, so that he might give repentance and remission of sins to Israel.
32 இவற்றிற்கு நாங்கள் சாட்சிகளாய் இருக்கிறோம். தமக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிகிறவர்களுக்கு, இறைவன் கொடுத்திருக்கும் பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவரும் சாட்சியாய் இருக்கிறார்” என்றார்கள்.
And we are the witnesses of these things; and also the Holy Spirit, whom God giveth to them that believe in him.
33 அவர்கள் இதைக் கேட்டபோது, கடுங்கோபமடைந்து இவர்களைக் கொல்ல யோசித்தார்கள்.
And when they heard these things, they burned with indignation, and thought of putting them to death.
34 ஆனால் அந்த ஆலோசனைச் சங்கத்தில், கமாலியேல் என்னும் பெயருடைய ஒரு பரிசேயன் இருந்தான். அவன் ஒரு மோசேயின் சட்ட ஆசிரியனாகவும், எல்லா மக்களுடைய மதிப்பைப் பெற்றவனாகவும் இருந்தான்; அவன் எழுந்து நின்று, சிறிது நேரத்திற்கு அப்போஸ்தலரை வெளியே கொண்டுபோகும்படி உத்தரவிட்டான்.
Then rose up one of the Pharisees whose name was Gamaliel, a teacher of the law, and honored by all the people; and he directed them to put the legates aside for a short time.
35 பின்பு கமாலியேல் அங்கிருந்தவர்களைப் பார்த்து: “இஸ்ரயேலரே, இவர்களுக்கு நீங்கள் செய்யப்போவதைக் கவனமாய் எண்ணிப்பாருங்கள்.
And he said, to them: Men, sons of Israel, take heed to yourselves, and consider what ye ought to do in regard to these men.
36 ஏனெனில் சிலகாலத்திற்கு முன்பு, தெயுதாஸ் என்பவன் முன்வந்து, தன்னை ஒரு பெரிய ஆளாக எல்லோருக்கும் காண்பித்தான், கிட்டத்தட்ட நானூறுபேர் அவனுடன் சேர்ந்துகொண்டார்கள். ஆனால் அவன் கொல்லப்பட்டான்; அவனைப் பின்பற்றிய அனைவரும் சிதறிப்போனார்கள். அந்தக் கூட்டத்தினர் இருந்த இடம் தெரியாமல் போய்விட்டனர்.
For before this time, rose up Theudas, and said of himself, that he was some great one; and there went after him about four hundred men. And he was slain; and they who went after him, were dispersed and became as nothing.
37 அவனுக்குப்பின்பு, குடிமதிப்பு எடுக்கப்பட்ட காலத்தில் கலிலேயனான யூதாஸ் என்பவன் முன்வந்து, அவனும் ஒரு மக்கள் குழுவை கலகத்திற்கு வழிநடத்தினான். ஆனால் அவனும் கொல்லப்பட்டான்; அவனைப் பின்பற்றியவர்களும் சிதறடிக்கப்பட்டார்கள்.
And after him, rose up Judas a Galilean, in the days when the people were enrolled for the capitation tax; and he seduced much people after him. And he died, and all they that went after him were dispersed.
38 எனவே, இப்பொழுது இந்த விஷயத்திலும்கூட, நான் கூறும் ஆலோசனை இதுவே: இவர்களை விட்டுவிடுங்கள்! இவர்கள் போகட்டும்! ஏனெனில் இந்தத் திட்டமும், இந்த செயலும் மனிதரிடமிருந்து வந்ததானால், இது இல்லாமற்போகும்.
And now, I say to you: Desist from these men, and let them lone. For if this device and this work originate from men, they will dissolve and come to nothing.
39 ஆனால் இது இறைவனிடமிருந்து வந்ததானால், உங்களால் இவர்களை நிறுத்தமுடியாது; அப்படி முயன்றால், நீங்கள் இறைவனுக்கு விரோதமாக யுத்தம் செய்கிறவர்களாய் இருப்பீர்களே” என்றான்.
But if it be from God, it is not in your power to frustrate it: that ye may not be found placing yourselves in opposition to God. And they, assented to him.
40 அங்கிருந்தவர்கள் கமாலியேல் சொன்னதற்கு இணங்கினார்கள். அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் அப்போஸ்தலரை உள்ளே கூப்பிட்டு, அவர்களைச் சவுக்கினால் அடித்தார்கள். பின்பு அவர்கள், இயேசுவின் பெயரினால் பேசக்கூடாது என்று கட்டளையிட்டு, அவர்களைப் போகவிட்டார்கள்.
And they called the legates, and scourged them, and commanded them not to teach in the name of Jesus, and dismissed them.
41 அப்போஸ்தலர் ஆலோசனைச் சங்கத்தைவிட்டுப் போனபின், இயேசுவின் பெயருக்காக தாங்கள் அவமானப்பட்டுத் துன்பம் அடைவதற்குத் தகுந்தவர்களாக கருதப்பட்டதால், பெருமகிழ்ச்சி அடைந்தார்கள்.
And they went from before them, rejoicing that they were worthy to suffer abuse on account of that name.
42 ஒவ்வொரு நாளும் அவர்கள் ஆலய முற்றத்திலும், வீடுகள்தோறும் இடைவிடாது போதித்து, இயேசுவே கிறிஸ்து என்று நற்செய்தியை அறிவித்துவந்தார்கள்.
And they ceased not to teach daily, in the temple and at home, and to preach concerning our Lord Jesus Messiah.
