2 தீமோத்தேயு 3
1 இதை நன்றாய் அறிந்துகொள்: கடைசி நாட்களில் மிகப் பயங்கரமான காலங்கள் உண்டாகும்.
But know this, that in the last days trying times will come.
2 மக்கள் தங்களில் மாத்திரம் அன்பு செலுத்துகிறவர்களாகவும், பண ஆசையுள்ளவர்களாகவும், கர்வம் உடையவர்களாகவும், பெருமையுள்ளவர்களாகவும், தூற்றித்திரிகிறவர்களாகவும், தங்கள் பெற்றோருக்குக் கீழ்ப்படியாதவர்களாகவும், நன்றி கெட்டவர்களாகவும், பரிசுத்தம் இல்லாதவர்களாகவும் இருப்பார்கள்.
For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, revilers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 அவர்கள் அன்பில்லாதவர்களாகவும், மன்னிக்கும் தன்மையற்றவர்களாகவும், அவதூறு பேசுகிறவர்களாகவும், சுயக்கட்டுப்பாடு இல்லாதவர்களாகவும், மிருகத்தனமுள்ளவர்களாகவும், நன்மையை விரும்பாதவர்களாகவும் இருப்பார்கள்.
without natural affection, implacable, false accusers, intemperate, fierce, haters of those who are good,
4 மேலும், துரோகம் செய்கிறவர்களாகவும், முன்யோசனை அற்றவர்களாகவும், இறுமாப்புடையவர்களாகவும், இறைவனை நேசிக்காமல், சிற்றின்பங்களை விரும்புகிறவர்களாகவும் இருப்பார்கள்.
traitors, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God,
5 வெளித்தோற்றத்தில் இறை பக்தி உள்ளவர்களாகக் காணப்படுவார்கள். ஆனால் இறை பக்தியின் வல்லமை இல்லாதவர்களாயிருப்பார்கள். இப்படிப்பட்டவர்களோடு எவ்விதத் தொடர்பும் வைக்காதே.
having a form of godliness, but denying its power: from these also turn away.
6 இப்படிப்பட்டவர்கள்தான் வீடுகளுக்குள் நுழைந்து, மனவுறுதியற்ற பெண்களைத் தம்வசப்படுத்துகிறார்கள். இந்தப் பெண்களோ பாவங்கள் நிறைந்தவர்களாகவும், பலவித தகாத ஆசைகளினால் இழுபடுகிறவர்களாகவும் இருக்கிறார்கள்.
For of this sort are those who worm themselves into houses, and lead captive silly women that are laden with sins, and influenced by various desires,
7 இவர்கள் எப்போதும் கற்றுக்கொள்கிறார்கள், ஆனால் ஒருபோதும் சத்தியத்தை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ள இயலாதவர்களாய் இருக்கிறார்கள்.
that are always learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
8 யந்நேயும் யம்பிரேயும் மோசேயை எதிர்த்து நின்றதுபோல, இந்த மனிதரும் சத்தியத்திற்கு எதிர்த்து நிற்கிறார்கள். இவர்கள் சீர்கெட்ட மனமுடையவர்கள். விசுவாசத்தைப் பொறுத்தமட்டிலோ, இவர்கள் புறக்கணிக்கப்பட்டவர்களே!
Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so these also will withstand the truth; men corrupt in mind, rejected as it respects the faith.
9 ஆனாலும் இவர்கள் இப்படியே அதிக தூரம் போகமாட்டார்கள். ஏனெனில் யந்நேயுவிற்கும் யம்பிரேயுவிற்கும் நடந்ததுபோல, இவர்களுடைய மூடத்தனமும் எல்லோருக்கும் வெளிப்படும்.
But they shall proceed no further; for their madness shall be manifest to all, as was the madness of those men.
10 ஆனால் நீயோ, எனது போதனைகள் எல்லாவற்றையும், எனது வாழ்க்கை முறையையும், எனது நோக்கத்தையும், விசுவாசத்தையும், பொறுமையையும், அன்பையும், சகிப்புத்தன்மையையும் அறிந்திருக்கிறாய்.
But you have fully known my teaching, my course of life, my purpose, my faithfulness, my long-suffering, my love, my patience,
11 அந்தியோகியாவிலும், இக்கோனியாவிலும், லீஸ்திராவிலும், எனக்கு ஏற்பட்ட பலவித துன்புறுத்தல்களையும், பாடுகளையும், நான் எப்படி சகித்தேன் என்றும் நீ அறிந்திருக்கிறாய். ஆனால் அவை எல்லாவற்றிலிருந்தும், கர்த்தர் என்னை விடுவித்தார்.
my persecutions, my sufferings which came upon me in Antioch, in Iconium, in Lystra; you well know what persecutions I endured: and yet out of them all, the Lord delivered me.
12 உண்மையாகவே, கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவில் இறை பக்தியுள்ள வாழ்க்கை வாழ விரும்புகிற ஒவ்வொருவனும் துன்புறுத்தப்படுவான்.
And all that will live godly in Christ Jesus, shall suffer persecution.
13 ஆனால் அதேவேளையில், தீயமனிதரும், வஞ்சகர்களும் செழிப்படைவார்கள். அவர்கள் மேன்மேலும் ஏமாற்றுகிறவர்களாகவும், ஏமாற்றப்படுகிறவர்களாகவும் இருப்பார்கள்.
But evil men and impostors will become worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
14 நீ கற்று நிச்சயமென்றறிந்த காரியங்களை, தொடர்ந்து கைக்கொள். ஏனெனில் அவற்றை கற்றுக்கொடுத்தவர்களையும் நீ அறிவாய்.
But do you continue in the things which you have learned and well understood, knowing from whom you learned them,
15 உனது குழந்தைப் பருவத்திலிருந்தே, பரிசுத்த வேதவசனங்களையும் நீ அறிந்திருக்கிறாய். அவைகள் ஒருவனை எப்படி கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவுக்குள்ளான விசுவாசத்தினாலே, இரட்சிப்பை பெற்றுக்கொள்வதற்கு ஞானமுள்ளவனாக்கும் என்று உனக்குத் தெரியும்.
and that from a child you have known the holy scriptures, which are able to make you wise in order to salvation, through faith that is in Christ Jesus.
16 எல்லா வேதவசனமும் இறைவனின் உயிர்மூச்சினால் கொடுக்கப்பட்டன. இவை மனிதருக்கு போதிப்பதற்கும், அவர்களைக் கண்டிப்பதற்கும், அவர்களைத் திருத்துவதற்கும், நீதியாய் வாழ பயிற்றுவிப்பதற்கும், பயனுள்ளவையாய் இருக்கின்றன.
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,
17 இதனால், இறைவனுடைய ஊழியக்காரன் எல்லா நல்ல செயல்களையும் செய்ய, முழுமையாக தேறினவனாகிறான்.
that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished for every good work.
