1 இஸ்ரயேலின் அரசன் யெரொபெயாம் அரசனாகப் பதவி ஏற்ற இருபத்தேழாம் வருடம் அமத்சியாவின் மகன் அசரியா யூதாவில் அரசாளத் தொடங்கினான்.

In the twenty and seventh year of Jerobo'am the king of Israel became 'Azaryah, the son of Amazyah king of Judah, king.

2 அவன் அவனுடைய பதினாறு வயதில் அரசனானான். அவன் எருசலேமில் ஐம்பத்திரண்டு வருடங்கள் அரசாண்டான். அவனுடைய தாயின் பெயர் எக்கோலியாள்; அவள் எருசலேமைச் சேர்ந்தவள்.

Sixteen years old was he when he became king, and two and fifty years did he reign in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Yecholyahu of Jerusalem.

3 அவன் தனது தகப்பன் அமத்சியா செய்ததுபோலவே யெகோவாவின் பார்வையில் சரியானதையே செய்தான்.

And he did what is right in the eyes of the Lord, in accordance with all that Amazyahu his father had done;

4 ஆனால் உயர்ந்த மேடைகளோ அகற்றப்படவில்லை. மக்கள் தொடர்ந்து அந்த மேடைகளில் பலிகளைச் செலுத்தியும், தூபங்காட்டியும் வந்தனர்.

Nevertheless the high-places were not removed: as yet the people sacrificed and burnt incense on the high-places.

5 யெகோவா அரசனை அவன் இறக்கும்வரையும் குஷ்டவியாதியினால் வாதித்தார். குஷ்டவியாதிக்காரனான இவன் ஒரு புறம்பான வீட்டில் இருந்தான். அரசனின் மகன் யோதாம் அரண்மனைக்குப் பொறுப்பாயிருந்து நாட்டின் மக்களை ஆட்சிசெய்தான்.

And the Lord afflicted the king with leprosy, and he was a leper unto the day of his death, and he dwelt in the leper-house. And Jotham the king's son was over the house, [and] judged the people of the land.

6 அசரியாவின் மற்ற ஆட்சிக்கால நிகழ்வுகளும், அவனுடைய எல்லாச் செயல்களும் யூதா அரசரின் வரலாற்றுப் புத்தகத்திலல்லவோ எழுதப்பட்டுள்ளன.

7 இதன்பின் அசரியா தன் முற்பிதாக்களைப்போல இறந்தபின்பு, தாவீதின் நகரத்தில் அவர்களுடன் அடக்கம் செய்யப்பட்டான். அவனுடைய மகன் யோதாம் அவனுக்குப்பின் அரசனானான்.

And 'Azaryah slept with his fathers; and they buried him with his fathers in the city of David: and Jotham his son became king in his stead.

8 யூதாவின் அரசன் அசரியா அரசாட்சி செய்த முப்பத்தி எட்டாம் வருடத்தில் யெரொபெயாமின் மகன் சகரியா சமாரியாவில் இஸ்ரயேலுக்கு அரசனானான். அவன் ஆறு மாதங்கள் அங்கே அரசாண்டான்.

In the thirty and eighth year of 'Azaryahu the king of Judah became Zechariah the son of Jerobo'am king over Israel in Samaria [for] six months.

9 இவன் தன் தந்தையர் செய்ததுபோல யெகோவாவின் பார்வையில் தீமையைச் செய்தான். இஸ்ரயேலைப் பாவத்துக்குள் வழிநடத்திய நேபாத்தின் மகன் யெரொபெயாமின் பாவங்களைவிட்டு இவன் விலகவேயில்லை.

And he did what is evil in the eyes of the Lord, as his fathers had done: he departed not from the sins of Jerobo'am the son of Nebat, who induced Israel to sin.

10 யாபேசின் மகன் சல்லூம், சகரியாவுக்கு எதிராகச் சதி செய்தான். மக்களுக்கு முன்பாக அவனைத் தாக்கிக் கொலைசெய்து, அவனுடைய இடத்தில் அரசனானான்.

And Shallum the son of Yabesh conspired against him, and smote him before the people, and put him to death, and became king in his stead.

11 சகரியாவின் ஆட்சியின் மற்ற நிகழ்வுகள் யாவும் இஸ்ரயேல் அரசரின் வரலாற்றுப் புத்தகத்திலல்லவோ எழுதப்பட்டுள்ளன.

And the rest of the acts of Zechariah, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.

12 “உன் சந்ததிகள் நான்கு தலைமுறைகளுக்கு இஸ்ரயேலின் அரியணையில் ஆளுவார்கள்” என்று யெகூவுக்கு யெகோவா கூறிய வார்த்தை இவ்வாறு நிறைவேறிற்று.

This was the word of the Lord which he spoke unto Jehu, saying, Sons of the fourth generation shall sit after thee on the throne of Israel. And so it came to pass.

13 யூதாவின் அரசன் உசியா ஆட்சி செய்த முப்பத்தொன்பதாம் வருடத்தில் யாபேசின் மகன் சல்லூம் சமாரியாவில் அரசனாகி ஒரு மாதம் அரசாண்டான்.

Shallum the son of Yabesh became king in the nine and thirtieth year of 'Uzziyah the king of Judah; and he reigned for the space of one month in Samaria.

14 இதன்பின் காதியின் மகன் மெனாகேம் திர்சாவிலிருந்து சமாரியாவுக்குப் போனான். அங்கே யாபேசின் மகன் சல்லூமை தாக்கிக் கொன்றுவிட்டு, அவனுடைய இடத்தில் அரசனானான்.

Then went up Menachem the son of Gadi from Thirzah, and came to Samaria, and smote Shallum the son of Yabesh in Samaria, and put him to death, and became king in his stead.

15 சல்லூமின் ஆட்சியின் மற்ற நிகழ்வுகளும், அவன் திட்டமிட்ட சதியும் இஸ்ரயேல் அரசர்களின் வரலாற்றுப் புத்தகத்திலல்லவோ எழுதப்பட்டுள்ளன.

And the rest of the acts of Shallum, and his conspiracy which he made, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.

16 அதே நேரத்தில் மெனாகேம் திர்சாவிலிருந்து புறப்பட்டு, திப்சா பட்டணத்தார் தங்கள் கதவுகளை இவனுக்குத் திறக்க மறுத்தபடியால், திப்சா பட்டணத்திலும், அதன் சுற்றுப்புறங்களிலுள்ள எல்லோரையும் தாக்கினான். அவன் திப்சாவைக் கொள்ளையிட்டு, அங்குள்ள கர்ப்பிணிப் பெண்களைக் கீறிக்கொன்றான்.

At that time did Menachem smite Thiphsach, and all that was therein, and its territory from Thirzah; because they opened not to him, he smote it; and all the pregnant women therein he ripped up.

17 யூதாவின் அரசன் அசரியா ஆட்சி செய்த முப்பத்தொன்பதாம் வருடம், காதியின் மகனான மெனாகேம் இஸ்ரயேலின் அரசனாக வந்தான். இவன் சமாரியாவில் பத்து வருடங்கள் ஆட்சிசெய்தான்.

In the nine and thirtieth year of 'Azaryah the king of Judah became Menachem the son of Gadi king over Israel, [for] ten years, in Samaria.

18 இவன் யெகோவாவின் பார்வையில் தீமையைச் செய்தான். இஸ்ரயேலைப் பாவம் செய்யப்பண்ணின நேபாத்தின் மகன் யெரொபெயாமின் பாவங்களைவிட்டு இவன் தனது ஆட்சிக்காலம் முழுவதிலும் விலகவில்லை.

And he did what is evil in the eyes of the Lord: he departed not from the sins of Jerobo'am the son of Nebat, who induced Israel to sin, all his days.

19 இவனுடைய காலத்தில் அசீரிய நாட்டின் அரசனான பூல் இஸ்ரயேல் நாட்டுக்குப் படையெடுத்து வந்தான். மெனாகேம் அவனுடைய ஆதரவை பெறுவதற்காகவும், ஆட்சியில் தனது அதிகாரத்தைப் பெலப்படுத்துவதற்காகவும் அவனுக்கு ஆயிரம் தாலந்து நிறையுள்ள வெள்ளியைக் கொடுத்தான்.

[Then] came Pul the king of Assyria against the land: and Menachem gave Pul a thousand talents of silver, that his hand might be with him to strengthen the kingdom in his hand.

20 மெனாகேம் இப்பணத்தை இஸ்ரயேலிலிருந்தே வசூலித்தான். அசீரியா அரசனுக்குக் கொடுக்கும்படி ஒவ்வொரு செல்வந்தனும் ஐம்பது சேக்கல் வெள்ளியைக் கொடுக்க வேண்டியிருந்தது. எனவே அசீரிய அரசன் அங்கு தங்காமல் தன் படைகளுடன் திரும்பிவிட்டான்.

And Menachem exacted the money from all Israel, from all the mighty men of the army, to give to the king of Assyria, fifty shekels of silver from every man; and the king of Assyria then returned and stayed not there in the land.

21 மெனாகேமின் ஆட்சியின் மற்ற நிகழ்வுகளும், அவனுடைய மற்ற செயல்களும் இஸ்ரயேல் அரசர்களின் வரலாற்றுப் புத்தகத்திலல்லவோ எழுதப்பட்டுள்ளன.

22 இதன்பின் மெனாகேம் தன் முற்பிதாக்களைப்போல இறந்தான். அவனுடைய மகன் பெக்காகியா அவனுக்குப்பின் அரசனானான்.

And Menachem slept with his fathers; and Pekachyah his son became king in his stead.

23 யூதாவின் அரசன் அசரியா அரசாண்ட ஐம்பதாம் வருடத்தில் மெனாகேமின் மகன் பெக்காகியா சமாரியாவில் இஸ்ரயேலுக்கு அரசனானான். இவன் இரண்டு வருடங்கள் ஆட்சிசெய்தான்.

In the fiftieth year of 'Azaryah the king of Judah became Pekachyah the son of Menachem king over Israel in Samaria, [for] two years.

24 இவனும் யெகோவாவின் பார்வையில் தீமையையே செய்தான். இஸ்ரயேலைப் பாவம் செய்யப்பண்ணின நேபாத்தின் மகன் யெரொபெயாமின் பாவங்களைவிட்டு இவன் விலகவில்லை.

And he did what is evil m the eyes of the Lord: he departed not from the sins of Jerobo'am the son of Nebat, who induced Israel to sin.

25 அவனுடைய பிரதான அதிகாரிகளில் ஒருவனான ரெமலியாவின் மகன் பெக்கா இவனுக்கு விரோதமாகச் சதி செய்தான். இவன் கீலேயாத்தைச் சேர்ந்த ஐம்பது பேரைத் தன்னுடன் கூட்டிக்கொண்டுபோய், அர்கோபு, அரியே என்பவர்களோடு பெக்காகியாவை சமாரியாவிலிருந்த அரசனுடைய அரண்மனையில் கொலைசெய்தான். இவ்விதமாக பெக்காகியாவைக் கொன்று அவனுடைய இடத்தில் பெக்கா அரசனானான்.

And Pekach the son of Remalyahu, an officer of his, conspired against him, and smote him in Samaria, in the fortress of the king's house, with the aid of Argob and the Aryeh, and with him were fifty men of the children of the Gil'adites: and he put him to death, and became king in his stead.

26 பெக்காகியாவின் ஆட்சியின் மற்ற நிகழ்வுகளும், அவனுடைய மற்ற செயல்களும் இஸ்ரயேல் அரசர்களின் வரலாற்றுப் புத்தகத்திலல்லவோ எழுதப்பட்டுள்ளன.

27 யூதாவின் அரசனான அசரியாவின் ஐம்பத்திரண்டாம் வருடத்தில் ரெமலியாவின் மகன் பெக்கா சமாரியாவில் இஸ்ரயேலுக்கு அரசனானான். இவன் இருபது வருடங்கள் அங்கே அரசாண்டான்.

In the fifty-second year of 'Azaryah the king of Judah became Pekach the son of Remalyahu king over Israel in Samaria, [for] twenty years.

28 இவன் யெகோவாவின் பார்வையில் தீமையானதைச் செய்தான். இஸ்ரயேலைப் பாவம் செய்யப்பண்ணின நேபாத்தின் மகன் யெரொபெயாமின் பாவங்களைவிட்டு அவன் விலகவில்லை.

And he did what is evil in the eyes of the Lord: he departed not from the sins of Jerobo'am the son of Nebat, who induced Israel to sin.

29 இஸ்ரயேலின் அரசன் பெக்காவின் நாட்களில், அசீரிய அரசன் திக்லாத்பிலேசர் என்பவன் படையெடுத்து வந்து தாக்கினான். அவன் ஈயோன், ஆபேல் பெத்மாக்கா, யனோவாக், கேதேசு, ஆத்சோர் ஆகிய பட்டணங்களையும், கீலேயாத், கலிலேயா ஆகிய நாடுகளையும், நப்தலி நாடு முழுவதையும் கைப்பற்றினான். பின்பு அவன் அங்கிருந்த மக்கள் யாவரையும் அசீரியாவுக்கு நாடுகடத்தினான்.

In the days of Pekach the king of Israel came Tiglath-pilesser the king of Assyria, and took 'Iyon, and Abel-beth, ma'achah, and Yanoach, and Kedesh, and Chazor, and Gil'ad, and Galilee, all the land of Naphtali, and led them away as exiles to Assyria.

30 இதன்பின் ஏலாவின் மகன் ஓசெயா ரெமலியாவின் மகன் பெக்காவுக்கு விரோதமாகச் சதி செய்தான். அவன் அவனைத் தாக்கிக் கொன்றான். பின்பு உசியாவின் மகன் யோதாம் யூதாவில் அரசாண்ட இருபதாம் வருடத்தில் ஓசெயா இஸ்ரயேலின் அரசனாக வந்தான்.

And Hoshea' the son of Elah made a conspiracy against Pekach the son of Remalyahu, and smote him, and put him to death, and became king in his stead, in the twentieth year of Jotham the son of 'Uzziyah.

31 பெக்காவின் ஆட்சியின் மற்ற நிகழ்வுகளும், அவன் சாதித்த செயல்களும் இஸ்ரயேல் அரசர்களின் வரலாற்றுப் புத்தகத்திலல்லவோ எழுதப்பட்டுள்ளன.

And the rest of the acts of Pekach, and all that he did, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.

32 ரெமலியாவின் மகனான இஸ்ரயேலின் அரசன் பெக்காவின் ஆட்சியின் இரண்டாம் வருடத்தில், யூதாவில், உசியாவின் மகன் யோதாம் ஆட்சி செய்யத் தொடங்கினான்.

In the second year of Pekach the son of Remalyahu the king of Israel became Jotham, the son of 'Uzziyah the king of Judah, king.

33 அவன் அரசனானபோது இருபத்தைந்து வயதுடையவனாயிருந்தான். அவன் எருசலேமில் பதினாறு வருடங்கள் அரசாண்டான். இவனுடைய தாய் சாதோக்கின் மகளான எருசாள் என்பவள்.

Five and twenty years old was he when he became king, and sixteen years did he reign in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Yerusha, the daughter of Zadok.

34 அவன் தன் தகப்பன் உசியா செய்ததுபோலவே யெகோவாவின் பார்வையில் சரியானதைச் செய்தான்.

And he did what is right in the eyes of the Lord: in accordance with all that 'Uzziyahu his father had done, [so] did he.

35 ஆனால் உயர்ந்த மேடைகளோ அகற்றப்படவில்லை. மக்கள் தொடர்ந்து அந்த மேடைகளில் பலிகளைச் செலுத்தியும், தூபங்காட்டியும் வந்தனர். யோதாம் யெகோவாவின் ஆலயத்தின் மேல்வாசலைத் திரும்பக் கட்டினான்.

Nevertheless, the high-places were not removed: as yet the people sacrificed and burnt incense on the high-places. He it was that built the upper gate of the house of the Lord.

36 யோதாமின் ஆட்சிக் காலத்தின் மற்ற நிகழ்வுகள், அவன் செய்தவைகளும் யூதா அரசர்களின் வரலாற்றுப் புத்தகத்திலல்லவோ எழுதப்பட்டுள்ளன.

Now the rest of the acts of Jotham, and all that he did, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah.

37 அந்நாட்களில் யெகோவா சீரிய அரசன் ரேத்சீனையும், ரெமலியாவின் மகன் பெக்கா வையும் யூதாவுக்கு எதிராக அனுப்பத் தொடங்கினார்.

In those days began the Lord to send against Judah Rezin the king of Syria, and Pekach the son of Remalyahu.

38 யோதாம் தன் முற்பிதாக்களைப்போல இறந்து, தன் தகப்பன் தாவீதின் நகரத்தில் அவர்களோடு அடக்கம் செய்யப்பட்டான். இவனுடைய மகன் ஆகாஸ் இவனுக்குபின் அவனுடைய இடத்தில் அரசனானான்.

And Jotham slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David his father: and Achaz his son became king in his stead.
