1 இராஜாக்கள் 4

1 அரசன் சாலொமோன் இவ்விதமாக இஸ்ரயேல் முழுவதையும் ஆட்சிசெய்தான்.

And king Solomon was king over all Israel.

2 அவனுடைய பிரதான அதிகாரிகள்: சாதோக்கின் மகன் அசரியா, ஆசாரியனாய் இருந்தான்.

And these were the rulers whom he had: Azariah the son of Zadok, the priest;

3 சீசாவின் மகன்களான ஏலிகோரேப், அகியா ஆகியோர், செயலாளர்களாய் இருந்தனர். அகிலூதின் மகன் யோசபாத், பதிவாளனாய் இருந்தான்.

Elihoreph and Ahijah, the sons of Shisha, scribes; Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud, the recorder;

4 யோய்தாவின் மகன் பெனாயா பிரதான படைத்தளபதியாய் இருந்தான். சாதோக், அபியத்தார் ஆகியோர் ஆசாரியர்களாய் இருந்தார்கள்.

and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the army; and Zadok and Abiathar were priests;

5 நாத்தானின் மகன் அசரியா, மாவட்ட அதிகாரிகளுக்குப் பொறுப்பாயிருந்தான். நாத்தானின் மகன் சாபூத், ஆசாரியனாகவும், அரசனின் அந்தரங்க ஆலோசகனாகவும் இருந்தான்.

and Azariah the son of Nathan was over the officers; and Zabud the son of Nathan was chief minister, and the king's friend;

6 அகீஷார், அரண்மனைக்குப் பொறுப்பாயிருந்தான். அப்தாவின் மகன் அதோனிராம், கட்டாய வேலைக்குப் பொறுப்பாயிருந்தான்.

and Ahishar was over the household; and Adoniram the son of Abda was over the men subject to task work.

7 முழு இஸ்ரயேலருக்கும் மேலாக சாலொமோன் பன்னிரண்டு மாவட்ட ஆளுநர்களை நியமித்திருந்தான். இவர்கள் அரசனுக்கும், அரச குடும்பத்தாருக்கும் உணவு விநியோகம் செய்தார்கள். ஒரு வருடத்தில் ஒரு மாதத்திற்குத் தேவையான உணவை மாதத்திற்கு ஒருவராக விநியோகம் செய்ய வேண்டியிருந்தது.

And Solomon had twelve officers over all Israel who provided provisions for the king and his household. Each man had to make provision for a month in the year.

8 அவர்களுடைய பெயர்களாவன: பென்கர், எப்பிராயீம் மலைநாட்டின் ஆளுநர்.

And these are their names: Ben-hur, in the hill-country of Ephraim;

9 பென் தேக்கேர், மாகாஸிலுள்ள சால்பீம், பெத்ஷிமேஷ், ஏலோன் பெத்கனான் ஆகிய இடங்களுக்கு ஆளுநர்.

Ben-deker, in Makaz, and in Shaalbim, and Beth-shemesh, and Elon-beth-hanan;

10 பென் கெசெத், அருபோத்திற்கு ஆளுநனாய் இருந்தான். இதில் சோக்கோவும் எப்பேர் நிலங்களும் அடங்கியிருந்தன.

Ben-hesed, in Arubboth (to him pertained Socoh, and all the land of Hepher);

11 பென் அபினதாப், நாபோத் தோருக்கு ஆளுநர். அவன் சாலொமோனின் மகள் தாபாத்தைத் திருமணம் செய்திருந்தான்.

Ben-abinadab, in all the height of Dor (he had Taphath the daughter of Solomon to wife);

12 அகிலூதின் மகன் பானா, இவன் தானாக், மெகிதோ, பெத்ஷான் முழுவதையும் ஆளுகை செய்தான். பெத்ஷான் சரேத்தானுக்கு அடுத்து யெஸ்ரயேலுக்குக் கீழே இருந்தது. பானாவின் பகுதி பெத்ஷான் தொடங்கி ஆபேல் மெகொலாவுக்குப்போய் யக்மெயாமில் முடிந்தது.

Baana the son of Ahilud, in Taanach and Megiddo, and all Beth-shean which is beside Zarethan, beneath Jezreel, from Beth-shean to Abel-meholah, as far as beyond Jokmeam;

13 பென் கேபேர், ராமோத் கீலேயாத்தில் ஆளுநர். இந்தப் பகுதியில் கீலேயாத்திலுள்ள மனாசேயின் மகனான யாவீரின் குடியிருப்புகளோடு பாசானிலுள்ள அர்கோப்பின் பகுதிகளும், அதைவிட மதிலால் சூழப்பட்ட வெண்கல தாழ்ப்பாள்களையுடைய அறுபது பட்டணங்களும் அடங்கியிருந்தன.

Ben-geber, in Ramoth-gilead (to him pertained the towns of Jair the son of Manasseh, which are in Gilead; even to him pertained the region of Argob, which is in Bashan, sixty great cities with walls and brazen bars);

14 இத்தோவின் மகன் அகினதாப், மக்னாயீமின் ஆளுநர்.

Ahinadab the son of Iddo, in Mahanaim;

15 அகிமாஸ், நப்தலியின் ஆளுநர். அவன் சாலொமோனின் மகள் பஸ்மாத்தைத் திருமணம் செய்திருந்தான்.

Ahimaaz, in Naphtali (he also took Basemath the daughter of Solomon to wife);

16 ஊஷாயின் மகன் பானா என்பவன் ஆசேர், ஆலோத் ஆகியவற்றின் ஆளுநர்.

Baana the son of Hushai, in Asher and Bealoth;

17 பருவாவின் மகன் யோசபாத், இசக்காரில் ஆளுநர்.

Jehoshaphat the son of Paruah, in Issachar;

18 ஏலாவின் மகன் சீமேயி, பென்யமீனின் ஆளுநர்.

Shimei the son of Ela, in Benjamin;

19 ஊரின் மகன் கேபேர், கீலேயாத்தின் ஆளுநர். எமோரியரின் அரசனான சீகோனின் எல்லைகளும், பாசானின் அரசனான ஓகுவின் எல்லைகளும் இதில் அடங்கியிருந்தன. அந்த மாவட்டத்திற்கு அவன் ஒருவனே ஆளுநனாய் இருந்தான்.

Geber the son of Uri, in the land of Gilead, the country of Sihon king of the Amorites and of Og king of Bashan, and he was the only officer who was in the land.

20 யூதாவின், இஸ்ரயேலின் மக்கள் கடற்கரை மணலைப்போல் எண்ணிக்கையில் பெருகியிருந்தார்கள். அவர்கள் சாப்பிட்டு, குடித்து சந்தோஷமாய் இருந்தார்கள்.

Judah and Israel were as many as the sand which is by the sea in multitude, eating and drinking and making merry.

21 சாலொமோன் அரசன் யூப்ரட்டீஸ் நதி தொடக்கம் எகிப்தின் எல்லைவரை இருந்த பெலிஸ்தியரின் நாடுவரையுள்ள இடங்களையும், ஆட்சிப் பகுதியையும் ஆண்டு வந்தான். இந்த நாடுகள் சாலொமோனுக்கு வரி செலுத்தி அவனுடைய வாழ்நாளெல்லாம் அவனுக்குக் கீழ்ப்பட்டனவாகவே இருந்தன.

And Solomon ruled over all the kingdoms from the River to the land of the Philistines, and to the border of Egypt. They brought tribute, and served Solomon all the days of his life.

22 சாலொமோனுக்குத் தினமும் தேவைப்பட்ட உணவுப் பொருட்கள்: முப்பது கோர் சிறந்த மாவும், அறுபது கோர் மாவும்,

And Solomon's provision for one day was thirty measures of fine flour, and sixty measures of meal,

23 தொழுவத்தில் பராமரிக்கப்பட்ட பத்து மாடுகளும், இருபது பசும்புல் மேய்ந்த மாடுகளும், நூறு செம்மறியாடுகளும், வெள்ளாடுகளும், அத்துடன் மான்களும், சிறு மான்களும், கலைமான்களும், திறமான கொழுத்த கோழிகளும் ஆகும்.

ten fat oxen, and twenty oxen out of the pastures, and a hundred sheep, besides harts, and gazelles, and roebucks, and fatted fowl.

24 ஏனெனில் அவனின் ஆட்சி யூப்ரட்டீஸ் நதிக்கு மேற்கே திப்சாவிலிருந்து, காசாவரை இருந்த எல்லா இடத்திலும் பரந்திருந்தது. நாட்டில் எங்கும் சமாதானம் நிலவியது.

For he had dominion over all the region on this side the River, from Tiphsah even to Gaza, over all the kings on this side of the River. And he had peace on all sides round about him.

25 சாலொமோனின் வாழ்நாள் முழுவதும், தாணிலிருந்து பெயெர்செபா வரை இஸ்ரயேலிலும், யூதாவிலும் வாழ்ந்த மக்கள் பாதுகாப்புடன் வாழ்ந்துவந்தனர். ஒவ்வொருவரும் தங்களுக்குச் சொந்தமான திராட்சைக் கொடிகளுக்கும், அத்தி மரங்களுக்கும் கீழே வாழ்ந்தனர்.

And Judah and Israel dwelt safely, every man under his vine and under his fig tree, from Dan even to Beersheba, all the days of Solomon.

26 சாலொமோனிடம் தேரில் பூட்டும் குதிரைகளுக்கு நாலாயிரம் தொழுவங்களும், பன்னிரெண்டாயிரம் குதிரைகளும் இருந்தன.

And Solomon had forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen.

27 மாவட்ட அதிகாரிகள் ஒவ்வொருவரும் தமக்குரிய மாதத்தில் சாலொமோன் அரசனுக்கும், அரசனின் மேஜைக்கு வரும் எல்லோருக்கும் தேவையான உணவை விநியோகம் செய்தனர். ஒன்றும் குறைவுபடாதவாறு அவர்கள் பார்த்துக்கொண்டார்கள்.

And those officers provided provisions for king Solomon, and for all who came to king Solomon's table, every man in his month; they let nothing be lacking.

28 அத்துடன் அவர்கள் தொழுவத்திலுள்ள அரசனுடைய தேர் குதிரைகளுக்கும், மற்றும் குதிரைகளுக்கும், வாற்கோதுமையையும், வைக்கோலையும் நியமிக்கப்பட்ட அளவை அவற்றிற்குரிய இடத்திற்குக் கொண்டுவந்தார்கள்.

Barley also and straw for the horses and swift steeds they brought to the place where the officers were, every man according to his charge.

29 இறைவன் சாலொமோனுக்கு ஞானத்தையும், மிகுந்த நுண்ணறிவையும், கடற்கரை மணலைப்போன்ற அளவிடமுடியாத விசாலமான விளங்கிக்கொள்ளும் ஆற்றலையும் கொடுத்தார்.

And God gave Solomon exceedingly much wisdom and understanding, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea-shore.

30 சாலொமோனுடைய ஞானம் கிழக்கிலிருந்த எல்லா மனிதரின் ஞானத்தைவிடவும், எகிப்தின் எல்லா ஞானத்தைவிடவும் மேலோங்கி விளங்கியது.

And Solomon's wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the sons of the east, and all the wisdom of Egypt.

31 சாலொமோன் வேறு எந்த மனிதனையும்விட ஞானமுள்ளவனாயிருந்தான். இவன் எஸ்ராகியனான ஏத்தான், ஏமான், கல்கோல், தர்தா என்ற மாகோலின் மக்களையும்விட அதிக ஞானமுள்ளவனாயிருந்தான். அவனுடைய புகழ் சுற்றியிருந்த நாடுகளெங்கும் பரவியது.

For he was wiser than all men: than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Calcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol. And his fame was in all the nations round about.

32 இவன் மூவாயிரம் நீதிமொழிகளைச் சொன்னான். இவனுடைய பாடல்கள் ஆயிரத்து ஐந்தாகக் கணக்கிடப்பட்டுள்ளன.

And he spoke three thousand proverbs, and his songs were a thousand and five.

33 மிகப்பெரிய லெபனோனின் கேதுரு மரம் தொடங்கி, சுவரில் முளைக்கும் ஈசோப்புச் செடி வரைக்குமுள்ள தாவரங்களை விபரித்தெழுதினான். அத்துடன் அவன் பறவைகள், விலங்குகள், ஊரும்பிராணிகள், மீன்கள் ஆகியவற்றைக் குறித்தும் கூறியுள்ளான்.

And he spoke of trees, from the cedar that is in Lebanon even to the hyssop that springs out of the wall. He spoke also of beasts, and of birds, and of creeping things, and of fishes.

34 உலகின் பல நாடுகளிலிருந்த அரசர்களும் சாலொமோனுடைய ஞானத்தைப் பற்றிக் கேள்விப்பட்டார்கள். அவர்களால் அனுப்பப்பட்ட எல்லா மனிதர்களும் அவனுடைய ஞானத்தைக் கேட்பதற்கு வந்தார்கள்.

And there came of all peoples to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth who had heard of his wisdom.
