1 இராஜாக்கள் 3
1 சாலொமோன் எகிப்தின் அரசனான பார்வோனுடன் நட்புக்கொண்டு அவனுடைய மகளைத் திருமணம் செய்தான். அவன் தன் அரண்மனையையும் யெகோவாவின் ஆலயத்தையும், எருசலேம் பட்டணத்தைச்சுற்றி மதிலையும் கட்டிமுடிக்கும்வரை, அவளைத் தாவீதின் பட்டணத்திலேயே வைத்திருந்தான்.

2 ஆயினும், யெகோவாவின் பெயரில் இன்னும் ஒரு ஆலயம் கட்டப்படாதிருந்தபடியால், மக்கள் உயர்ந்த இடங்களிலேயே பலிசெலுத்தி வந்தார்கள்.

3 சாலொமோன் தாவீதின் எல்லா நியமங்களின்படியேயும் நடந்து, தான் யெகோவாவிடம் அதிகம் அன்பு கொண்டிருந்ததைக் காண்பித்தான். ஆயினும் அவன் தொடர்ந்து இன்னமும் உயர்ந்த இடங்களில் பலியிட்டு, தூபங்காட்டி வந்தான்.
and to love: lover Solomon [obj] LORD to/for to go: walk in/on/with statute David father his except in/on/with high place he/she/it to sacrifice and to offer: offer
4 கிபியோன் மேடையே மிக முக்கியமானதாக விளங்கியதால் அரசன் அங்கேயே தனது பலிகளைச் செலுத்தப் போவான். அந்தப் பலிபீடத்தில் சாலொமோன் ஆயிரம் தகன காணிக்கைகளைச் செலுத்தினான்.

5 கிபியோனில் இரவு நேரத்தில் யெகோவா சாலொமோனுக்குக் கனவில் தோன்றி, இறைவன் அவனிடம், “உனக்கு எது வேண்டுமோ அதைக் கேள்” என்றார்.

6 அதற்குச் சாலொமோன் பதிலாக, “உமது அடியவனாகிய எனது தகப்பன் தாவீது உமக்கு இருதயத்தில் உண்மையும், நியாயமும், நேர்மையும் உள்ளவராக இருந்தபடியால், நீர் என் தகப்பனுக்கு மிகுந்த தயவு காண்பித்திருந்தீர். தொடர்ந்து அவருக்கு மிகுந்த தயவை காண்பித்து, இந்த நாளில் அவரின் அரியணையிலிருப்பதற்கு ஒரு மகனையும் கொடுத்திருக்கிறீர்.
and to say Solomon you(m. s.) to make: do with servant/slave your David father my kindness great: large like/as as which to go: walk to/for face: before your in/on/with truth: faithful and in/on/with righteousness and in/on/with uprightness heart with you and to keep: obey to/for him [obj] [the] kindness [the] great: large [the] this and to give: give to/for him son: child to dwell upon throne his like/as day: today [the] this
7 “இப்பொழுதும் என் இறைவனாகிய யெகோவாவே, என் தகப்பனாகிய தாவீதின் இடத்தில் அடியவனாகிய என்னை அரசனாக்கினீர். நானோ என் கடமைகளைச் சரிவரச் செய்வதற்கு அறியாத ஒரு சிறுபிள்ளையாய் இருக்கிறேன்.
and now LORD God my you(m. s.) to reign [obj] servant/slave your underneath: instead David father my and I youth small not to know to come out: come and to come (in): come
8 உமது அடியவனான நான் உம்மால் தெரிந்துகொள்ளப்பட்ட எண்ணுக்கடங்காத உமது மேன்மையான மக்களின் நடுவில் இருக்கிறேன்.

9 ஆகவே இந்த உமது மக்களை ஆளவும், சரி எது, பிழை எது என்று வேறுபடுத்தி அறியவும், நிதானிக்கும் இருதயத்தை உமது அடியானுக்குத் தாரும். ஏனெனில் இந்த பெருந்திரளான உமது மக்களை ஆட்சிசெய்ய யாரால் முடியும்?” என்றான்.

10 சாலொமோன் இதையே கேட்டபடியால், அவனுடைய பதிலில் யெகோவா சந்தோஷப்பட்டார்.
and be good [the] word: thing in/on/with eye: appearance Lord for to ask Solomon [obj] [the] word: thing [the] this
11 ஆகவே இறைவன் அவனிடம், “நீ உனக்கு நீண்ட ஆயுளையோ, செல்வத்தையோ, என் பகைவர் சாகவேண்டும் என்றோ கேளாமல், நீதியாய் நிர்வாகம் செய்வதற்காக நிதானிக்கும் அறிவைக் கேட்டாய்.
and to say God to(wards) him because which to ask [obj] [the] word: thing [the] this and not to ask to/for you day many and not to ask to/for you riches and not to ask soul: life enemy your and to ask to/for you to understand to/for to hear: judge justice
12 அதனால் நீ கேட்டதை நான் உனக்குச் செய்வேன். நான் உனக்கு ஞானமும், நிதானிக்கும் அறிவுமுள்ள இருதயத்தைத் தருவேன்; இதனால் உன்னைப்போன்ற ஒருவன் உனக்கு முன்னும் இருந்ததில்லை. உனக்குப் பின்னும் இருக்கமாட்டான்.
behold to make: do like/as word your behold to give: give to/for you heart wise and to understand which like you not to be to/for face: before your and after you not to arise: rise like you
13 இதைவிட இதற்கு மேலாக நீ கேட்காத செல்வத்தையும், கனத்தையும் தருவேன். இதனால் உனது வாழ்நாளில் அரசர்கள் மத்தியில் உனக்கு நிகராக யாருமே இருக்கமாட்டார்கள்.

14 உனது தகப்பனாகிய தாவீது செய்ததுபோல, என்னுடைய வழிகளில் நடந்து, என் விதிமுறைகளுக்கும், கட்டளைகளுக்கும் கீழ்ப்படிந்தால், உனக்கு நீண்ட ஆயுளைத் தருவேன்” என்றார்.

15 சாலொமோன் விழித்தெழுந்து தான் கண்டது ஒரு கனவு என்று உணர்ந்தான். அவன் எருசலேமுக்குத் திரும்பிவந்து, அங்கே யெகோவாவின் உடன்படிக்கைப் பெட்டியின் முன்னின்று தகன காணிக்கைகளையும், சமாதான காணிக்கைகளையும் பலியிட்டான். அதன்பின் தன் அரண்மனை அலுவலர்களுக்கு ஒரு பெரிய விருந்து கொடுத்தான்.

16 சில நாட்களின்பின் இரண்டு வேசிகள் அரசனுக்கு முன்வந்து நின்றார்கள்.

17 அவர்களில் ஒருத்தி, “என் ஆண்டவனே, இந்தப் பெண்ணும், நானும் ஒரே வீட்டில் வசிக்கிறோம். அவள் என்னோடு இருக்கையில் எனக்கு ஒரு பிள்ளை பிறந்தது.
and to say [the] woman [the] one please lord my I and [the] woman [the] this to dwell in/on/with house: home one and to beget with her in/on/with house: home
18 எனது பிள்ளை பிறந்து மூன்றாம் நாளில் இந்தப் பெண்ணுக்கும் ஒரு பிள்ளை பிறந்தது. நாங்கள் தனிமையாகவே இருந்தோம். எங்கள் இருவரையும் தவிர வீட்டில் எவருமே இருக்கவில்லை.
and to be in/on/with day [the] third to/for to beget me and to beget also [the] woman [the] this and we together nothing be a stranger with us in/on/with house: home exception two we in/on/with house: home
19 “இரவு நேரத்தில், இவள் தன் பிள்ளையின்மேல் புரண்டு படுத்ததினால் இவளின் மகன் இறந்துபோனான்.

20 எனவே இவள் நள்ளிரவில் எழுந்து உமது அடியாளாகிய நான் நித்திரையிலிருந்தபோது, என் பக்கத்தில் இருந்த என் மகனை எடுத்துக்கொண்டாள். அவள் அவனைத் தன் மார்பில் போட்டுக்கொண்டு, தன்னுடைய இறந்த மகனை என் மார்பில் போட்டுவிட்டாள்.
and to arise: rise in/on/with midst [the] night and to take: take [obj] son: child my from beside me and maidservant your sleeping and to lie down: lay down him in/on/with bosom: embrace her and [obj] son: child her [the] to die to lie down: lay down in/on/with bosom: embrace my
21 அதிகாலையில் என் மகனுக்குப் பால் கொடுக்க நான் எழுந்தபோது, அவன் இறந்து கிடந்தான். காலை வெளிச்சத்தில் அவனை நான் கூர்ந்து பார்த்தபோது, அது நான் பெற்ற என் மகனல்ல என்று கண்டேன்” என்று கூறினாள்.
and to arise: rise in/on/with morning to/for to suckle [obj] son: child my and behold to die and to understand to(wards) him in/on/with morning and behold not to be son: child my which to beget
22 அப்பொழுது மற்றப் பெண் அவளைப் பார்த்து, “இல்லை; உயிரோடிருப்பவன் என்னுடையவன். இறந்தவன் உன்னுடையவன்” என்றாள். ஆனால் முதற்பெண்ணோ வற்புறுத்தி, “இல்லை இறந்தவனே உன்னுடைய மகன்; உயிரோடிருப்பவன் என் மகன்” என அரசனின் முன்பாக வாக்குவாதம் செய்தாள்.
and to say [the] woman [the] another not for son: child my [the] alive and son: child your [the] to die and this to say not for son: child your [the] to die and son: child my [the] alive and to speak: speak to/for face: before [the] king
23 அப்பொழுது அரசன், “இவள், ‘என் மகனே உயிரோடிருக்கிறான்; உன் மகன் இறந்துவிட்டான்’ என்கிறாள். மற்றவளோ, ‘இல்லை, உன் மகன் இறந்துவிட்டான்; என் மகனே உயிரோடிருக்கிறான்’ என்கிறாள்.”
and to say [the] king this to say this son: child my [the] alive and son: child your [the] to die and this to say not for son: child your [the] to die and son: child my [the] alive
24 ஆகவே, “ஒரு வாளை என்னிடம் கொண்டுவாருங்கள்” என்றான். எனவே அவர்கள் அரசனுக்கு ஒரு வாளைக் கொண்டுவந்தார்கள்.
and to say [the] king to take: bring to/for me sword and to come (in): bring [the] sword to/for face: before [the] king
25 அப்பொழுது அரசன், “உயிரோடிருக்கும் பிள்ளையை இரண்டாக வெட்டி, ஒரு பாதியை ஒருத்திக்கும், மறு பாதியை மற்றவளுக்கும் கொடுங்கள்” எனக் கட்டளையிட்டான்.
and to say [the] king to cut [obj] [the] youth [the] alive to/for two and to give: give [obj] [the] half to/for one and [obj] [the] half to/for one
26 அப்பொழுது உயிரோடிருக்கும் பிள்ளையின் சொந்தத் தாய் தன் பிள்ளைக்காக மிகவும் இரக்கப்பட்டு, அரசனை நோக்கி, “ஆண்டவனே! தயவுசெய்து உயிரோடிருக்கும் பிள்ளையை அவளுக்கே கொடுங்கள். அவனைக் கொல்லவேண்டாம்” என்றாள். ஆனால் மற்றவளோவென்றால், “அந்தப் பிள்ளை எனக்கும் வேண்டாம் உனக்கும் வேண்டாம். அவனை இரண்டாக வெட்டும்” என்றாள்.
and to say [the] woman which son: child her [the] alive to(wards) [the] king for to grow warm compassion her upon son: child her and to say please lord my to give: give to/for her [obj] [the] to beget [the] alive and to die not to die him and this to say also to/for me also to/for you not to be to cut
27 அப்பொழுது அரசன் இந்தத் தீர்ப்பை வழங்கினான்: “உயிரோடிருக்கும் பிள்ளையை முதலாவது வந்த பெண்ணுக்கே கொடுங்கள். அவனைக் கொல்லவேண்டாம். அவளே அவனின் சொந்தத் தாய்” என்றான்.
and to answer [the] king and to say to give: give to/for her [obj] [the] to beget [the] alive and to die not to die him he/she/it mother his
28 அரசன் கொடுத்த தீர்ப்பை இஸ்ரயேலர் அனைவரும் கேட்டபோது, அவனை உயர்வாய் மதித்தார்கள். நீதியாய் நிர்வாகம் செய்ய இறைவனிடமிருந்து வந்த அவனுடைய ஞானத்தைக் கண்டார்கள்.
and to hear: hear all Israel [obj] [the] justice: judgement which to judge [the] king and to fear: revere from face of [the] king for to see: examine for wisdom God in/on/with entrails: among his to/for to make: do justice
