1 இராஜாக்கள் 15

1 நேபாத்தின் மகனான யெரொபெயாம் இஸ்ரயேலில் ஆட்சி செய்த பதினெட்டாம் வருடம் அபியா யூதாவின் அரசனானான்.

Now in the eighteenth year of king Jerobo'am the son of Nebat became Abiyam king over Judah.

2 அவன் எருசலேமில் மூன்று வருடங்கள் ஆட்சிசெய்தான். அப்சலோமின் மகளான அவனுடைய தாயின் பெயர் மாக்காள்.

Three years he reigned in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Ma'achah, the daughter of Abishalom.

3 அவனுடைய தகப்பன் முன்பு செய்த எல்லாப் பாவங்களையும் இவனும் செய்தான். தன் முற்பிதாவாகிய தாவீது, தன் இறைவனாகிய யெகோவாவுக்கு முழுமனதோடு உண்மையாயிருந்ததுபோல, இவன் முழுமனதோடு உண்மையாய் இருக்கவில்லை.

And he walked in all the sins of his father, which he had done before him; and his heart was not entire with the Lord his God, like the heart of David his father.

4 அப்படியிருந்தும் தாவீதின் இறைவனாகிய யெகோவா அவன் நிமித்தம் எருசலேமைப் பலப்படுத்தி, தாவீதுக்குப் பின் அரசாளுவதற்கு ஒரு மகனை எழுப்பி, எருசலேமில் அவனுக்கு ஒரு விளக்கைக் கொடுத்தார்.

Nevertheless for the sake of David did the Lord his God give him a rule in Jerusalem, to set up his son after him, and to allow Jerusalem to exist.

5 ஏனெனில் தாவீது ஏத்தியனான உரியாவின் விஷயத்தைத் தவிர, மற்ற எல்லாவற்றிலும் யெகோவாவின் பார்வைக்குச் சரியானவற்றைச் செய்து, தன் வாழ்நாளெல்லாம் யெகோவாவின் கட்டளைகளில் எதையும் செய்யத் தவறவில்லை.

Because David did what is right in the eyes of the Lord, and turned not aside from all that he had commanded him all the days of his life, save only in the matter of Uriyah the Hittite.

6 யெரொபெயாமுக்கும் ரெகொபெயாமுக்கும் இடையே ஏற்பட்ட யுத்தம் அபியாவின் வாழ்நாள் முழுவதும் தொடர்ந்தது.

And there had been war between Rehobo'am and Jerobo'am all the days of his life.

7 அபியாவின் ஆட்சிக் காலத்தின் மற்ற சம்பவங்களும், அவன் செய்த அனைத்தும் யூதா அரசர்களின் வரலாற்றுப் புத்தகத்திலல்லவோ எழுதப்பட்டுள்ளன. அபியாமுக்கும் யெரொபெயாமுக்கும் இடையில் யுத்தம் நடந்தது.

And the rest of the acts of Abiyam, and all that he did, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah. And there was [also] war between Abiyam and Jerobo'am.

8 அபியா இறந்து, தாவீதின் நகரத்திலே தன் முற்பிதாக்களுடன் அடக்கம் செய்யப்பட்டான். அவனுக்குப்பின் அவனுடைய மகனான ஆசா அரசனானான்.

And Abiyam slept with his fathers; and they buried him in the city of David: and Assa his son became king in his stead.

9 இஸ்ரயேல் அரசனான யெரொபெயாமின் இருபதாம் வருடத்தில் ஆசா யூதாவின் அரசனானான்.

And in the twentieth year of Jerobo'am the king of Israel became Assa king over Judah.

10 அவன் எருசலேமில் நாற்பத்தொரு வருடங்கள் அரசாண்டான். அவனின் பாட்டி அப்சலோமின் மகளான மாக்காள் என்பவள்.

And forty and one years did he reign in Jerusalem. And the name of his mother was Ma'achah, the daughter of Abishalom.

11 ஆசா தன் முற்பிதாவாகிய தாவீதைப் போல யெகோவாவின் பார்வையில் சரியானவற்றையே செய்தான்.

And Assa did what is right in the eyes of the Lord, like David his father.

12 அவன், வழிபாட்டிடத்தில் வேசித்தனத்திற்குத் தங்களைக் கொடுத்த ஆண் விபசாரக்காரரை நாட்டிலிருந்து வெளியேற்றி, தன் முற்பிதாக்கள் செய்துவைத்திருந்த எல்லா விக்கிரகங்களையும் அகற்றிவிட்டான்.

And he put away the sodomites out of the land, and removed all the idols which his fathers had made.

13 மேலும் அவன் தன் பாட்டி மாக்காளை, அவள் அருவருப்பான அசேரா விக்கிரக தூணைச் செய்ததினால், அரசி என்ற நிலையிலிருந்து நீக்கிவிட்டான். ஆசா அந்தத் தூணை வெட்டி கீதரோன் பள்ளத்தாக்கில் எரித்துவிட்டான்.

And also Ma'achah his mother, even her he removed from being queen; because she had made a scandalous image for the grove; and Assa cut down her scandalous image, and burnt it by the brook Kidron.

14 அவன் வழிபாட்டு மேடைகளை அகற்றாமலிருந்த போதிலும்கூட ஆசா தன் வாழ்நாள் எல்லாம் தன் இருதயத்தை யெகோவாவுக்கே ஒப்புவித்திருந்தான்.

But the high-places were not removed; nevertheless Assa's heart was entire with the Lord all his days.

15 அவன் தானும் தன் தகப்பனும் அர்ப்பணித்திருந்த வெள்ளியையும், தங்கத்தையும், மற்ற பொருட்களையும் யெகோவாவின் ஆலயத்திற்குள் கொண்டுவந்தான்.

And he brought the things which his father had sanctified, and his own sanctified things, into the house of the Lord, silver, and gold, and vessels.

16 ஆசாவுக்கும் இஸ்ரயேல் அரசனான பாஷாவுக்கும் இடையில் அவர்களின் ஆட்சிக்காலம் முழுவதும் யுத்தம் நடந்தது.

And there was war between Assa and Ba'sha the king of Israel all their days.

17 இஸ்ரயேலின் அரசனான பாஷா, யூதாவுக்கு விரோதமாகப் போய், யூதா அரசனான ஆசாவின் எல்லையிலிருந்து யாரும் வெளியே வரவோ, உள்ளே போகவோ முடியாதபடி தடுப்பதற்காக ராமாவைச் சுற்றி அரண் அமைத்தான்.

And Ba'sha the king of Israel went up against Judah, and built Ramah, in order not to suffer any one to go out or come in to Assa the king of Judah.

18 பின்பு ஆசா யெகோவாவின் ஆலயத்தின் திரவியக் களஞ்சியத்திலும், தன் சொந்த அரண்மனையிலும் எஞ்சியிருந்த எல்லா வெள்ளியையும், தங்கத்தையும் எடுத்து அவற்றைத் தன் அலுவலர்களிடம் ஒப்படைத்தான். பின்பு அவற்றை தமஸ்குவில் ஆட்சி செய்த எசியோனின் மகன் தப்ரிமோனின் மகனான சீரிய அரசன் பெனாதாத்திற்கு அனுப்பினான்.

Then did Assa take all the silver and the gold that were left in the treasures of the house of the Lord, and the treasures of the king's house, and gave them into the hand of his servants; and king Assa sent them to Ben-hadad, the son of Tabrimmon, the son of Chesyon, the king of Syria, who dwelt in Damascus, saying,

19 மேலும் அவன் அவர்களிடம், “உம்முடைய தகப்பனுக்கும், என்னுடைய தகப்பனுக்குமிடையில் இருந்ததுபோல, உமக்கும் எனக்கும் இடையில் ஒரு ஒப்பந்தம் இருக்கட்டும். இதோ பாரும், நான் வெள்ளியையும், தங்கத்தையும் உமக்கு பரிசாக அனுப்புகிறேன். நீர் இஸ்ரயேலின் அரசனான பாஷாவுடன் வைத்துள்ள ஒப்பந்தத்தை முறித்துவிடும். அப்போது அவன் என்னிடமிருந்து பின்வாங்கி விடுவான்” என்று சொல்லி அனுப்பினான்.

A covenant is between me and thee, [as] between my father and thy father: behold, I have sent unto thee a present of silver and gold; go and do break thy covenant with Ba'sha the king of Israel, that he may withdraw from me.

20 பெனாதாத் அரசனாகிய ஆசாவுடன் உடன்பட்டு தனது இராணுவத் தளபதிகளை இஸ்ரயேலின் பட்டணங்களுக்கு எதிராக அனுப்பினான். அவன் ஈயோன், தாண், ஆபேல் பெத்மாக்கா மற்றும் கின்னரோத்தின் எல்லாப் பகுதிகளையும், அத்துடன் நப்தலி நாட்டையும் பிடித்தான்.

And Ben-hadad hearkened unto king Assa, and sent the captains of the armies which he had against the cities of Israel, and smote 'Iyon, and Dan, and Abel-beth-ma'achah, and the whole of Kinneroth, with all the land of Naphtali.

21 பாஷா இதைக் கேள்விப்பட்டபோது ராமாவைக் கட்டுவதை நிறுத்தி, பின்வாங்கி திர்சாவுக்குப் போனான்.

And it came to pass, when Ba'sha heard this, that he left off the building of Ramah, and remained in Tirzah.

22 அப்பொழுது அரசன் ஆசா ஒருவனையும்விடாமல் யூதா நாடு முழுவதற்கும் ஒரு கட்டளை கொடுத்தான். அவர்கள் பாஷா அரசன் பயன்படுத்திய கற்களையும், மரங்களையும் ராமாவிலிருந்து கொண்டுபோனார்கள். ஆசா அரசன் அவற்றைப் பயன்படுத்தி பென்யமீன் நாட்டில் கேபாவையும், மிஸ்பாவையும் கட்டினான்.

Then king Assa called together by proclamation all Judah, none being exempted: and they took away the stones of Ramah, and its timber, wherewith Ba'sha had built; and king Assa built with them Geba' of Benjamin, and Mizpah.

23 ஆசாவின் ஆட்சிக் காலத்தின் மற்ற நிகழ்வுகளும், அவனுடைய சாதனைகளும், அவன் செய்தவைகள் அனைத்தும், அத்துடன் அவன் கட்டிய பட்டணங்கள் பற்றியும், யூதா அரசர்களது வரலாற்றுப் புத்தகத்திலல்லவோ எழுதப்பட்டுள்ளன. ஆயினும், அவனுடைய வயது முதிர்ந்த காலத்தில் அவன் கால்களில் வியாதி ஏற்பட்டது.

And the rest of all the acts of Assa, and all his mighty deeds, and all that he did, and the cities which he built, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah. Nevertheless in the time of his old age he became diseased in his feet.

24 பின்பு ஆசா தன் முற்பிதாக்களைப்போல இறந்து, தன் முற்பிதாவாகிய தாவீதின் நகரத்தில் அடக்கம் செய்யப்பட்டான். அவனுடைய மகனான யோசபாத், அவனுடைய இடத்தில் அவனுக்குப்பின் அரசனானான்.

And Assa slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David his father: and Jehoshaphat his son became king in his stead.

25 யூதா அரசன் ஆசாவின் இரண்டாம் வருடத்தில் யெரொபெயாமின் மகனான நாதாப் இஸ்ரயேலுக்கு அரசனாகி, இஸ்ரயேலின்மேல் இரண்டு வருடம் ஆட்சிசெய்தான்.

And Nadab the son of Jerobo'am became king over Israel in the second year of Assa the king of Judah; and he reigned over Israel two years.

26 அவன் இஸ்ரயேலைப் பாவம் செய்யப்பண்ணிய தன் தகப்பனுடைய வழிகளிலும், அவனுடைய பாவத்திலும் நடந்தான். இதனால் அவன் யெகோவாவினுடைய பார்வையில் தீமைசெய்தான்.

And he did what is evil in the eyes of the Lord, and he walked in the way of his father, and in his sin wherewith he had induced Israel to sin.

27 நாதாபும், இஸ்ரயேலர் அனைவரும் பெலிஸ்திய பட்டணமான கிபெத்தோனை முற்றுகையிடுகையில், இசக்கார் குடும்பத்தைச் சேர்ந்த அகியாவின் மகனான பாஷா, நாதாபிற்கு எதிராகச் சதிசெய்து, அங்கு அவனை வெட்டிக்கொன்றான்.

And Ba'sha the son of Achiyah, of the house of Issachar, conspired against him; and Ba'sha smote him at Gibbethon, which belonged to the Philistines: while Nadab and all Israel were besieging Gibbethon.

28 யூதாவின் அரசனான ஆசாவின் மூன்றாம் வருடத்தில் பாஷா நாதாபைக் கொன்று, தானே அவனுக்குப்பின் அவன் இடத்தில் அரசனானான்.

And Ba'sha slew him in the third year of Assa the king of Judah, and became king in his stead.

29 அவன் அரசாளத் தொடங்கியதும் யெரொபெயாமின் முழுக் குடும்பத்தையும் கொன்றான். யெகோவா தன் பணியாளனாகிய சீலோனியனான அகியாவின் மூலமாய்க் கொடுத்த வாக்கின்படியே, யெரொபெயாமுக்குச் சொந்தமான சுவாசமுள்ள எதையும் விட்டுவைக்காமல் எல்லாவற்றையும் கொன்றான்.

And it came to pass, when he reigned, that he smote all the house of Jerobo'am; he left not any that breathed unto Jerobo'am, until he had destroyed him, according to the word of the Lord, which he had spoken by his servant Achiyah the Shilonite;

30 யெரொபெயாம் செய்த பாவங்களின் காரணமாகவும், அவன் இஸ்ரயேல் மக்களைப் பாவஞ்செய்யப்பண்ணியதாலும், இஸ்ரயேலின் இறைவனாகிய யெகோவாவுக்குக் கோபம்மூட்டினதாலுமே இவ்வாறு நடந்தது.

Because of the sins of Jerobo'am which he had sinned, and through which he had induced Israel to sin, by his provoking wherewith he provoked the Lord the God of Israel to anger.

31 நாதாபின் ஆட்சிக் காலத்தின் மற்ற நிகழ்வுகளும், அவன் செய்தவை யாவும் இஸ்ரயேல் அரசர்களின் வரலாற்றுப் புத்தகத்திலல்லவோ எழுதப்பட்டுள்ளன.

And the rest of the acts of Nadab, and all that he did, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.

32 ஆசாவுக்கும் இஸ்ரயேல் அரசனான பாஷாவுக்கும் இடையில் அவர்களின் ஆட்சிக்காலம் முழுவதும் யுத்தம் நடந்துகொண்டே இருந்தது.

And there was war between Assa and Ba'sha the king of Israel all their days.

33 யூதா அரசனான ஆசா அரசாண்ட மூன்றாம் வருடத்தில், அகியாவின் மகன் பாஷா இஸ்ரயேல் முழுவதற்கும் திர்சாவில் அரசனானான். அவன் இருபத்தி நான்கு வருடங்கள் ஆட்சிசெய்தான்.

In the third year of Assa the king of Judah became Ba'sha the son of Achiyah king over all Israel, in Thirzah, [for] twenty and four years.

34 அவன் இஸ்ரயேலரைப் பாவம் செய்யப்பண்ணின யெரொபெயாமின் வழிகளிலும், அவனுடைய பாவங்களிலும் நடந்து, யெகோவாவின் பார்வையில் தீமையைச் செய்தான்.

And he did what is evil in the eyes of the Lord, and walked in the way of Jerobo'am, and in his sin wherewith he had induced Israel to sin.
